Fantasy Beach in Port Maria

A nice beach to spend the afternoon to relax and soak up the sun. Bring your own lounge chair and umbrella.

This is a great place for kids as it is very shallow waters for a good distance but the beach needs a good cleaning, there is alot of garbage everywhere.

On the day I went the water was a bit rough, so the sand was churning, and the beach wasnt clean (dead decaying red crab just lying with the morass and stuff). As such i cant judge the real condition when its being cared for.....but other persons of all ages were going in to enjoy their weekend dip...so its ok, since they semed to enjoy themselves. And it wasnt crowded at all.

The sea is calm and a good hang out spot for family

Public beach in St. Ann, Stunningly beautiful with a certain rustic charm.

Very Nicex be careful when walking too far out along the shorelines. There are areas that will sink with you (not drastically or harmfullyand more important sea urchins come up and lay their eggs further out from the main entrance. I didnt spend much time in the water but its good to go take a sip and play ball along the beach with friends. There is a wash area and a bar and seating on site. Very nice.

I went there 1 time then 2.3.4.5 and my family and i love the friendly people who operate the venue plus the food is GOOD they are a little expensive though but its a nice environment

I have been there many times nice open space good for a family day out on the beach and also good for events

The beach needs to be cleaned not eniugh maintenance is been done on the beach. You have to be careful when your walking on the beach

Lots of garbage and debris along the shoreline... needs a good clean up. Water shallow and good for children

Nice public beach for the family. Had an awesome time. You can bring your food or if not there are vendors there selling soup, popcorn, jerk among other things, also a nice bar is there and the prices are affordable.

No food was on the beach to purchase plus they need to clean it up

I was impressed by the cleanliness of the beach. Lots of parking available. Snack/ cocktails can be purchased at the bar. Or pack yourself a lovely picnic basket bring your towels and JUST enjoy. On the day that I went the water was absolutely warm and the waves were gently drenching the sand.

Free beach. Warm water. Families having fun. Small fee for changing rooms. Not a tourist trap. Mostly locals.

Free beach in st.ann. Water was very warm and enjoyable. It was very shallow which I love. You can go very far out and still feel safe.

This beach is the place to be. You can go out a mile and still be able to stand and the water is great.

Really nice beach... horse back riding and a bar, and its a fresh beach just have to pay 100 if you want to wash off...

We stopped here after coming from mystic mountain. Its dirty. Glass and condoms all over the place. The water is beautiful though. Also, theres a guy there with a horse and he convinced me to ride to get over my fear. He assured me that Id be okay and I was. He walked along side of the horse and gave me history of the area. That turned out to be the highlight of that stop.

The Beach Was Quite Empty When I Got There... Which I Didnt Have A Problem Since It Was A Family Trip And We Had Fun Regardless. However, The Beach Was Partially Dirty And Needs Cleaning.

Excellent place if youre looking to run away in the middle of the week. On a weekend however its quite packed, so if you dont like crowds avoid on the weekends... Best part... ITS A FREE BEACH🏖️😍

Fantasy Beach is public beach which is cared for by loyal Jamaican citizens in the community of Priory. The young and the old are safe at this beach as the water is shallow. The sand is always clean and is great for volleyball and other games. If you should become thirsty then the bar is on spot; hence youll be able to purchase alcohol/alcohol free drinks.

I would have given it 4 stars if the beach was cleaner. Its a very nice relaxing beach. I wish the shoreline was longer so there would be more space on a popular day but its great nevertheless. Theres also a bar right by the beach as well as a restaurant. Its also very close to the main road so its a very relaxing stop before or during a long drive

Its free so sometimes the beach is full, especially on public holidays.There are no lifeguards and you have to pay to use the sparse and badly kept bathroom.Seaweed is rampant. Sea urchins come in every now and again.The sand can sometimes be messy. Sand flies at night.I can almost guarantee youll itch when you get out of the water.

A public beach with stunning views and holds lots of potential. However, it is badly littered along the right portion and has no restrooms. Showers are available for $50 per person and I heard changing rooms are available but didnt use them myself. Its free and gets quite a lot of patronage from residents in Priory on Sundays who come to play football, beach volleyball, dominoes, eat and relax. Seating is available. I had a good time nonetheless but cannot rate it highly until some beach cleaning happens

Public beach with a good feeling. Its a nice place for a family to relax and spend the day. The down side is the poor quality of showers and changing rooms which are not being taking care of and are the only things being payed for. I believe that if we are paying for something it should be top of the line , because customer comfort is the number one priority. Besides that its a wonderful place . 😎

This is a public beach and is completely free except for the showers where we paid $50 per adult. The energy was good. The crowd was mainly locals who came out with their family. The bar was well stocked, reasonably priced and the music was great. There was a sound system and the DJ was playing soothing family music (I went on a Sunday, so that could be why). There was adequate parking space too and nobody harasses you. That being said, the beach itself is a mess. A complete mess. The water had debris, plastic bags etc in it for about 100 feet into the sea. It was really disgusting (and Im not that picky). The sand was almost clay like, not very pretty at all. The showers had algae growing everywhere. It was really distasteful. Tbh, the beach is deteriorating rapidly.

Fantasy beach is awesome for the family, especially kids because they can go further out in the sea, where the adults are or stay on the Long white Sandy beach .its a public beach so u can be broke and still have fun. No harassment! Food and refreshments are available to purchase or u bring your own

We visited on a moody day, very cloudy and it rained for a good amount of the time, the sea was also rough. We were practically the only ones on the beach apart from the bar staff. But hey were in jamaica so we definately made the most of it, we ordered a few drinks from the bar, built some sand castles and took a dip (it was still warm). The beach itself could do with some maintenance where cleaning is concerned but it wasnt the worst.

Should be 2 1/2 stars.A place for lots of festivities.A bit to noisy for my taste often times especially late night.

Beach needs cleaning! Filled with broken glass bottles, plastic bags in the water and barely any shaded or sitting areas.
