Fang's Restaurant - Shanghainese restaurant in Taipei, Taiwan
More then 20 years never been to this restaurant introduce friend to this restaurant. Only the Xiao long bao its nice rest are so Salty, bit disappointing but maybe next time try other food.Still nice n good service can come again n try other dishes.
Food is okay. But the service is bad.... servers have an attitude.
A traditional Shanghainese Food Restaurant. Representative dishes like Dong Po Ruo ,Xiao Long Bao, Qing Chao Shan Hu, Yan Du Xian, Kou San Xian are prepared above-standard. Reasonable pricing.Crowded at dinner time.
Tastes good! Especially for their Xiao Long Bao!
Amazing Vegetarian Dumplings and Kung Pao Chicken!
Love the dumplings and mapo tofuπ. Amazing food. Good service and good environment. This is one of my favourite Chinese cuisine restaurants in Taipei. Its a very friendly place. Worth having a happy, good, lovely Chinese meal with friends and family. So many good options. All the staff is very polite and kind. π€
It was Ok! Make sure to get their beef stew
One of the best restaurants in Taipei hands down. Highly recommend the ε°ιΎε !
Tasty food and always a good restaurant to go for when in tianmu.
Always a good place to have lunch/dinner at Tianmu.
A Taiwanese-Chinese restaurant where my family and I can go by walk from Tianmu east road. Our favorites are dumpling and shrimp fried rice. We took many friends from Japan out for dinner at here and most of them became a fun of it. Recommend!
Shanghai restaurant. The food here was delicious and the service was also very good. They had great dumplings and xiaolongbao. I plan on going back and trying some more of their items. They also were accommodating in splitting items between a friend and I before bringing them to our table so we could easily share.

Similar to some high class Chinese restaurants found in California USA. Worthy of your time and money.
Food is delicious and marvelous, price is high (soup dumplings over 200 NT)
Scallops are a stellar!A favorite restaurant in Tianmu.
Food is great, however the space isnt really family friendly for kids.
I think the place can stand for years at Tianmu is their stunning good Food.
Famous Sanghai restaurant with around 40 years history at Tianmu in Taipei. Similar menu with Ding Tai Fung but not noisy like that.
Really nice authentic food, only the Bean Casserole (θ±ζ²ιι€ was too oily and not crispy enough!
Fangs is a historic restaurant with amazing food and great service. Check it out, you wont be disappointed.
Food is great and good portion size. If you want to visit, call ahead to make reservation.
Classy Shanghai style restaurant but we chose a few bland dishes. The standouts were the eel with leeks and the luffa with conpoy. The beancurd chicken was very ordinary, the seafood in amaranth soup was tasteless although you could see all the seafood bits floating around, and the steamed stinky tofu reminds you why everyone else fries it and douses it in sauce in the first place. Our complimentary dessert of yam, barley and mung beans was a mini delight though.
Awesome xiao long bao place in Tianmu area. Just love it.
Clean & tasty. Good pace for family & friends gathering.
Best Chinese food and dim sum on the island hands down.
Yummy but pricy
Food is good but its freezing cold inside. When we provided the feedback that its cold they told is its because we just came inside. Even after our second feedback the waitress refuses to turn down the air cond. Both my son and I got sick afterwards.
Went for dinner with a friend who grew up in the area and knew this to be an excellent restaurant with solid reputation for great food, fair prices, and wonderful service. We thoroughly enjoyed the meal, service and ambiance on a few day stop in Taipei and exploring the Tianmu area.
The best food is here
Mild and authentic taste. The best Shanghainese cuisine in town, almost every dish is delicious, Good value, hygienic and service. Frequent visited.
Food is delicious and usually one of my local favorites. But their facility is not handicap accessible and friendly to elderly people. This was a real disappointment.
Famous Shanghai restaurant in town. Dumping were just okay as I expected too much from review. Flaky scallion pancakes θ₯ζ²Ήι€ were amazing and smelled nice. Spicy fish was good as well. This place is crowded, better to make a reservation.
I like everything I ordered: xiao long bao, vegetarian steamed dumplings, scallion pan cake... and even the stinky tofu! It is not cheap but definitely one of the best Shanghainese restaurants I have tried in Taipei.
Some local people says much better than Ding Tai font for signature dumpling. Not too clouded but safer to make reservations.
Great authentic cuisine and most pleasant service πππ
Chinese Restaurant:Summary - With a focus on Shanghainese dishes, this restaurant offers average Chinese food at reasonable prices. The Pros: Good dumplings, fried rice and tofu dishes. Service is efficient, the environment is simple and organized. Prices are acceptable as well.It is a 3 stars restaurant, but it deserves an extra star for being around since 1981 (quite a feat in Taiwan). The Cons: The meat based dishes (Dong Po Pork, Stir Fried Beef, etc...are average at best.
Amazing food....especially those dumplings...mmmm
My parents go to restaurant for Shanghainese food. Delicious, authentic, old school Shanghainese food. My family has been coming here for over 25 years! Consistent quality, generous portions and reasonably priced.
Excellent restaurant ~^_^
My grandparents love this place and I come here whenever I go back to Taiwan for a visit. Love the tofu skin appetizer the most but everything else tastes very good. The staff is very nice and they are very accommodating of dietary restrictions.
Have not eaten better meal in Taiwan. It is excellent in in many ways and lacking in none.
Still delivering Great food in consistent way over the last 20+ years
Fantastic Restaurant. The food is excellent and the staff and service are top class. Worth the dining experience.
Nice, bright ambience! Have been here quite a few times over the years. Good steamed dumplings and the various dishes have reasonable good quality ingredients and flavors!
Im 100% sure theres a ton of dishes thats better then the couple that we snacked on but being on a vegan diet, we were limited and Id have to say i β€ their version of the scallion pancake. crispy, not oily and healthy filling of scallion and leeks. Mmm, so good. Also recommend trying their loofah stir fry. Extremely fresh. Will be back in a couple of days
Good dishes to share with a bunch of people. The chilli shrimp here is great. Its now off the menu but you can still ask for it.
Very nice food. Its a must go place.
Delicious cuisines. Very nice setting upstairs.
Having been to this restaurant for many years, tasty but getting too expensive now for its quality and quantity lately.
