Lovely casual fish restaurant with great service and reasonably priced overall. We were selective on what we had, grilled calamari and a nice large Vlaxos (fresh fishThe fresh fish is slightly on the high price side, but its perfectly cooked and worth it for the quality.Could do with a little background music, but overall good experience

This is an excellent restaurant. We chose fish meze. The octopus and cuttle fish were the best I have ever tasted, especially in terms of softness. The swordfish, prawns and salad were excellent. Taramosalata was good. I was disappointed with the whitebait and the red mullet was way too small to serve. The service was also good.

Καλό φαγητό, θέλει δουλειά και συντονισμό γ κουζίνα με το σέρβις.

Outdoor area was enclosed and people in it all smokers, so the cigarrette smoke was contained. Prices too high for the quality of the food and ambience.

Πολύ λίγη ποσοτητα και ποικιλία φαγητού. Παρά πολύ ακριβό για αυτά που προσφέρει. Απογοήτευση!

Γενικά κρίνω την εμπειρία μου στη συγκεκριμένη ψαροταβέρνα ως καλή. Εντούτοις υπήρξαν πράγματα που με ενόχλησαν τα οποία θα αναφερθώ.Όταν πήγαμε επειδή ήταν αργία και είχαν πολύ κόσμο, άργησε αρκετά να έρθει κάποιος στην πόρτα για να μας δείξει το τραπέζι που κρατήσαμε. Στη συνέχεια άργησαν πάνω από 5 λεπτά μέχρι να μας προσεγγίσει κάποιος σερβιτόρος για να παραγγείλουμε. Ακόμη ένα τραγελαφικό γεγονός είναι ότι έπρεπε να παραγγείλουμε σε ξεχωριστό σερβιτόρο τα ποτά από τα φαγητά.Σε συνέχεια των αρνητικών στοιχείων να αναφέρω πως ο χώρος είναι μέτριος έως κακός. Οι ιδιοκτήτες φαίνεται πως δεν ενδιαφέρονται να τον συντηρήσουν, τουλάχιστον τα τελευταία 15 χρόνια. Επίσης την ημέρα της επίσκεψης μου ψιχάλιζε και αφού η πέργκολα από πάνω ήταν κακής ποιότητας, αρκετές σταγόνες έπεφταν πάνω μας.Η τιμή κινείται σε κανονικά επίπεδα, δηλαδή €24 ο μεγάλος μεζές.Ωστόσο το φαγητό με κέρδισε αφού ήταν νόστιμο, καλό, και δεν άφησε κανένα παραπονεμένο.

Το Family Nest Fish Tavern είναι μια δίκαια αξιόλογη ψαροταβέρνα. Το περιβάλλον ευχάριστο και ήσυχο γενικά. Το προσωπικό ήταν συνεχώς στην διάθεση των πελατών και το ψάρι για το οποίο φημίζονται υπέροχο και εύγευστο με καλές τιμές.

Δεν έχει ποιο κάτω αλλιώς δεν θα έβαζα κανένα άστερι. Η ποιότητα χαλιααααα και από τιμές χρυσάφι. Για δύο μερίδες πατάτες μια μερίδα καλαμαράκια όχι φρέσκα εννοείται δύο μικρά νερά και δύο κουτάκια αναψυκτικά όλα σε πακέτα 42€

If it’s fish you want and you are in Nicosia (Strovolos), then Family best is the best Place for you! They have a vast variety of fish dishes including “Fish Meze”at reasonable prices for Cyprus.It has to be said that although Cyprus is an island with some of the most beautiful waters in the Mediterranean, fish is very expensive compared to other European locations!Family nest is a family run “shabby chic” style restaurant, in a lovely location with lots of parking. Great for parties or for a romantic night out.The premises are clean, including the toilets and although you can smell the delicious and fresh fish they cook, you won’t go home with a fishy smell on your clothes.The staff are friendly, courteous, polite and helpful and like most other eating places in Cyprus, the menu is in Greek & English.Try it out, you won’t be disappointed.

One of the classic fish taverns in Nicosia which never dissapoints

Был несколько раз. Отличное заведение. Простой интерьер. Чисто! Кухня на 5+ и это очень радует. Наисвежайшая рыба и др. морепродукты отменно приготовлены. Много посадочных мест, но всегда почти полный зал.

Very good fish meze and fresh fish by the weight. Expect to pay around €30 if you choose meze with some drinks and over €50 if you choose to go for fresh fish on your own preference. The place does not say much at all, but the food quality is very good and service even better. Its not centrally located and not prestigious enough, so not a first choice for business lunches but nevertheless the quality is top.

Прекрасное тихое кафе, с невероятно вкусными рыбными блюдами. Барабульку - обязательно надо попробовать. Очень вежливый персонал. Прекрасное домашние вино.

Best Fish BY FAR, grilled but succulentBeing used to the local tastes (and the consistency of the dried meats and fish grillsI was really surprised to find that this taverna held such high standards of both their recipes and of the service.Run by a family (and for so long!), Mr Kyriakos has the leading role of selecting the fish and crustaceans and running the kitchen, his wife helps with the administration and billing, while their lovely daughter operates the tables with the rest of the waiters, all in the best of the cypriot well disposed, congenial, helpful and obliging way that I havent witnessed since my childhood.|The way it works is more or less as in other fish tavernas, either by ordering the set ‘mezze’ menu (fixed restaurant choice of small portions of dishes - from cold starters to grills, or, ordering (choosingyour own dishes from a selection on an ice bed display, without limitations. Although more costly, these portions can be sized up by how much you decide to order (everything is weighed raw and verified in front of the client, and subsequently charged at the restaurant rates). On display are 5 to 8 types of sea fish, nearly all of the crustaceans (shrimps to lobsterand all types of molluscs (from baby calamari, sepia, etc. to octopus, and shellfish), the array is so wide itll leave you stunned for choice.The extravaganza starts with the cold dips and salads and then whatever is readied first, following in suit as the kitchen prepares the grilled seafood.This taverna is a must experience, with fresh and well prepared seafood, without anything charred or even remotely dried. (I definitely recommend the prawns, as it is a recipe vastly different from the usual grilled prawns even by the most known fish restaurants on the island-exceptionally tasty!)
