My favourite place ever! Best (and apparently the originalAyam Pop dish. Nice lookout to Bukittinggi.I just wish they have more sayur (vegetabledishes... like Gulai Paku (fern leaves curry), kangkung etc.

Food was super, never fail to stop for lunch whenever we are in Bukit Tinggi. Reasonably priced. No problem with parking.

This is where ayam pop is born!!! The place is unassuming but nice, the atmosphere is warm and cozy. Of course you have to try the ayam pop!!! Its tasty and juicy, but the size is small so you probably want to order more than one. Price is very affordable. Dont forget to order the exquisite hot tea too!

Food was good but got charged what seemed like the tourist price. Had only three dishes but paid 120k, which was at least double what we had paid for similar meals

This restaurant is located near the cliff, so you can see the beautiful view down the city.I was there for lunch, I had good and bad experience. The good one is, the cuisine had a great taste, the best rendang I guess. But, the menu was overprice, they count the high price for each menu. Was it because we were from Java so that they cheated on us?

The oldest restaurant (this is a branchthat serve the famous Ayam Pop. My family always go to this restaurant whenever were in Bukittinggi. Surely cant miss those Ayam Pop and Paruik Masam.

Minangmabau foods so delicious Iike for chicken called Ayam Pop Boiled serve with sambal specific from West Sunatera chilli sauce, served fully on the table with many kinds of foods from West Sunatera, such as rendang, curry or gulai , and one other also my favourite Gado Gado or vegetable sauce with peanut may mind of Salad .. I love it if you dont like spice you can order without chilli , the waiters so friendly will welcome you!!...enjoy Minangnese food very recommended in Bukittingi.

This is one of the best restaurants in Bukit Tinggi. One of the old and historic restaurant and the have lots and the best menu. Anything they serve is great completed with the best panoramic views. Hot rice, great selection of meal in the cold-hilly-weather and great views, isnt that perfect?

Not what I had imagined about Indonesian food. Food was average and price was extortionate. Paid 300,000 Rp for two people. Can get cheaper, tastier and more hygienic food for less than that in Australia (which is an expensive country).I almost fell off my chair when I got the bill and felt sick in the stomach. Pretty sure they are ripping off tourists. If you are white or dont speak Indonesian I would advise strongly to go somewhere else as they will see you coming and take you for all you have got. Refer to photos for receipt. There are many better restaurants and food places in Bukittinggi.
