Falken am Rotsee AG in Luzern

Full disclosure: we were a little concerned after reading some reviews... However, the welcome was friendly, the room (basic but roomywas clean and comfortable and the Falken did the job for our stay during our Via Gottardo Walk. Location is some way outside Luzern centre but bus stop is right outside if needed. Basic but good value and the breakfast was good. Merci vilmals!

Telefonisch gebucht habe eine mündliche Zusage bekommen 4mal eine Mail geschickt und sind dann 600 km zum Hotel gefahren dann wusste keiner von der Buchung. Hotel nicht zu empfehlen. Gut das wir in Meggen ein super wirklich ein schönes Hotel gefunden haben .

Super hotel, laccueil est très bien, petit déjeuner copieux et nous avons prit le repas du soir la bas cétait très bon 🙂

Das Zimmer und alles war tipptopp aber dass man bis 21.30 Uhr und dann bereits wieder ab 06.00 Uhr staubsaugen und Stühle verrücken muss, ist mir ein Rätsel.

Wir waren auf der Durchreise Anfang August für eine Übernachtung im Falken. Sehr zu empfehlen, modernes Zimmer, sehr bequemes Bett, kuschelige Handtücher, sauber. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker; alles, was das Herz begehrt und die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und nett. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder!

Sehr gutes chinesisches Essen und grosse Portionen, welche am Ende auch noch eingepackt werden.Wir können das Restaurant nur empfehlen.

Kamer was erg warm. Er staat alleen een ventilator. Ramen dicht vanwege het lawaai. Tv werkt niet. Ontbijt erg summier. Chinees restaurant. Personeel wel aardig.Voor ons was het voor 1 nacht.

Booked room with dinner through Agoda. After final payment without refund, received message that restaurant closed early during the day of stay and no dinner provided. After chat with Agoda several time. Manage to get refund CHF40 from the hotel.

Super authentic, friendly service!

Einfaches Hotel, welches aber vollkommem genügt. Die Zimmer sind schön und sauber. Frühstück haben wir leider nicht ausprobiert, auch wenn es im Preis inkl war. Da kann ich also kein Feedback geben.Würde aber auf jeden Fall wieder da übernachten.

Dont get confused by the high rating. That is NOT for the hotel but for the restaurant. The staff in both places is extremely rude

The owner assaulted a senior citizen in our group and pushed her to the ground.We had booked for 3 nights via booking.com and were traveling with senior citizens (70 years and above). booking.com and the falken am rotsee website, both did not mention that there was no elevator. When paying over $500 per night, we did not think that we would need to call ahead to ask if they had an elevator or not (no other hotel weve visited for this price has not had an elevator.)On reaching the hotel, we found out about the elevator and the senior citizens said they were unable to climb the stairs. So we politely asked the receptionist/owners for a refund which they blatantly refused. We even requested booking.com to speak to them - which they very kindly did - but the owners would just not budge. So then we agreed to stay there for one night (with the senior citizens staying in another hotel with an elevatorand get refunded for the next two nights to which they disagreed. Finally, they agreed to cancel the last night. As we finalized this, the owner got so angry, he started shouting at us. One of the senior citizens in our group took a photo of the owner so we would have proof of whom the person was when lodging a complaint. On seeing this, THE OWNER CHARGED TOWARDS THE SENIOR CITIZEN, GRABBED HER FROM HER BACK AND TRIED TO SNATCH HER PHONE! She fell to the ground and injured her back.The other staff members not only did not help, but instead told us that we should not have clicked the photo!Unfortunately, we could not place a complaint with booking.com because since we never ended up staying at that hotel (of course, after all thiswe could not file a complaint with them. I am so frustrated.

Uber Eats delivery was 1 hour late, but was totally compensated by how great the Xiaolongbao were.

I ordered the delivery several times during Covid. This is by far most authentic Chinese food Ive ever had in Switzerland. I like 锅包肉 so much. Its the same as what I had in 东北。

Best authentic Chinese food anywhere near Lucerne. Can accommodate even groups 50+ in a private room, extremely pleasant to work with, great service. Highly recommend!

Great hotel wouldnt give it a 2-star hotel rating. Room was very spacious and clean, television worked great and had access to multiple apps (including YouTube).English wasnt their best language, but it was manageable. At the hotel a restaurant can be found, where they serve delicious Chinese food. It was honestly incredibly good.The lady of the restaurant was very friendly and made some great suggestions regarding the menu.I would stay here again.

We go there often and love the food but the service is getting worse and worse, especially a young man, rude with customers and the feminine staff!

For a small town this Chinese is honestly the best I’ve had so far! Absolutely wonderful! The staff are fantastic too so all in all a brilliant experience and definitely a must visit!

One star for the most terrible service I received ever.The waitress is extremely rude and annoying, keeps judging customers verbally. We are quite offended by her.If you could have other choice of who serves you, avoid this terrible mid-aged waitress. The other staff seems much more friendly.

Nice place for work stay...

Absolutely Fantastic. It is one of few authentic Chinese restaurants in Switzerland. Whats even better is they have a chef who really appreciates food.

Value for money. A bit far from Central Luzern on the way to Ebikon, but then buses are readily available

We had a good Lunch after our work near Luzerne. Has many parking lots, so it was easy to get one even near the entrance.

If you ever crave for delicious authentic Chinese food, this place will satisfy you with the most outstanding dishes!

This hotel is litrally the greatest! The hotel doubles as a chinese restaurant so you can have your chinese fix if your into that sorta thing. The room are alos very comfortable and have a very nice view if you get a balcony. The beds are very comfortable and big but still leave a decent amount of space in the room. The hotel also includes wifi and there was a netflix account on the tv which we were free to use. You get a free bus pass which is helpful as there are buses outside which take you to the town.

One the most authentic Chinese food in central Switzerland. If you want to have the typical Chinese food dont forget to ask for the Asian menu. Prices are reasonable.

Surprisingly authentic Chinese food for a small central Switzerland village. Seems like small (privateChinese tour groups frequent this venue. Would recommend for people looking for dishes similar to what youd get at a restaurant in China.

Nice & Comfortable hotel with great Chinese food

1 month ago booked, but when we arrived THEY OVER-BOOKED during easter weekend, and never say sorry to us, just said GO OUT. and they accept the other people who paid more. UNFAIR and VERY IMPOLITE. we had difficulty to find another hotel during easter. and ruined the travel.The CHINESE OWNER was so arrogant and OFFENSIVE.FOR YOUR COMFORTABLE and SAFE TRAVEL, NEVER BOOKING THIS HOTEL DURING PEAK SEASON. They will accept all but when you arrive, THEY WILL KICK OUT.
