Casa familiar acogedora con dueños muy amables. Perfecta para pasar una noche de paso al safari. Desayuno enorme y muy rico esperándote al terminar el safari. Habitación grande y cómoda con heladera y baño privado.

It was a long day of travel from my hotel near Bandaraike airport, to Colombo via a packed commuter train. Upon arriving in Colombo waited for the first train to Galle, leaving at 8:45. Arriving in Galle at 11:30 in a comfortable second class coach, it was a pleasant scenic trip. (Note: take the seats opposite of the boarding side to have the ocean view.)After checking out Galle grabed a tuktuk to take me to the home stay.After arriving and checking in, it was great to have that cool refreshing shower. Sitting out on the porch after was a delight to feel that breeze tickle my skin and to enjoy the peace and quiet.As a Canadian traveller, now residing in Borneo, I must say this is an exceptional homestay. Being a Canadian you have certain standards that you expect in a motel. I have to say this far exceeded those.This is a quiet home stay, run by a pleasant young man Amil and his extended family. They do a terrific job in keeping the place clean inside and out and prepare wonderful meals. Thank you mom! They are friendly as most Sri Lankan are, looking well after their guests.The room has a large queen size bed, two large lounging chairs, kettle and cups for making tea. Theres a tv in the room, but who has time for that when there is so much to do out side. There is a large washroom off side of the bed room with all the emenities one needs.The court yard is a great place to have your breakfast listening to a myriad of bird calls. Where alse could you sit and listen to the Malabar hornbill as well as Asian koel, the sun birds and bablers? Maybe you need to spend a little more time here to get to know the host and his family as well as the area.As for the guided trip to Udawalawe Park, two thumbs up to my guide and driver, Prabath. I understand most want to see the elephants and water buffalo. But my goodness, this is only a small slice of what this park has to offer. Talk to the owner and guide about birding tours. I saw more hornbills here than I have in my three years in Borneo, The Land of the Hornbills. As well as seeing more raptors, what a beautiful place. Definitely need to come back for seconds.Ive included some photos of the room, the farmers market, elephant orphanage and Udawalawale park

Très bon accueil (et cuisine !et organisation dun parcours dans le parc naturel. Ne pas louper le centre de transit pour éléphants, à midi 🙂

We had a pleasant stay at falcons nest and can really recommend this place! The owner is very honest and helpful. We booked the morning safari through this place and paid just 11890 LKR for the safari tour, which started at 5am.After our safari tour we were served local breakfast, as we wished. It was really nice that Amil explained a lot about Sri Lankan culture. Furthermore, you can also book cheap and comfy taxi drives through this place. He f.ex. took us to Mirissa after our breakfast.The only thing missing was an AC in our room. The rooms are only equipped with a fan.

This homestay is perfectly located for a safari at Udawalawe National Park. Amil has his own car and picked us up in Tangalle. He also drove us to Ella for our next stay. The rooms are very spacious with good wifi. Amils mother cooked a delicious rice and curry for dinner and prepared a great breakfast box for the safari. We did the safari with his own jeep driven by his friend. He knows the best spots for elephant watching. We literally were the first ones who saw the elephants and only after 10 mins a second jeep joined. Amil was always helpful and available (in person or via Whatsapp).

I really recommend this place. Me and my partner recently stayed, the staff were so helpful and friendly and arranged a tour of Udawalawe at a very reasonable cost. The guide was very experienced and knowledgeable and ensured we had a great trip.The hosts made dinner for us, the portions were huge and very tasty, breakfast was also fantastic.The room was spacious and clean, as was the bathroom with a hot shower. The bed was large and comfy. Tea making facilities are also included within the room.When we left the host helped us to plan our onwards journey and provided great advice and recommendations.I would definitely stay here again and recommend others to do so.

Increíble experiencia en Udawalawe! El alojamiento estupendo, más no se puede pedir, cómodo, económico y una atención excelente! Además el chico del hotel tiene un Jeep para hacer el safari en el parque nacional y hemos quedado encantados con el resultado. La comida que te ofrece en el hotel esta super rica, y el chico siempre dispuesto a ayudarnos en lo que haga falta. Sin duda recomiendo venir a este hotel! No os lo perdáis #srilankaissave!

Absolutely excellent accommodation and hospitality.As soon as we arrive we got introduce to our huge room wmthat was very clean. Amile (the hostarrange super safari for us with a amazing guide and for a good price pp. They arranged breakfast for us that we could it just next to a wild elephant. Afterwards you can relax in the garden with a nice big hammock.Thanks for your service and kindness.Go here!

Incredible host and comfy stay. Great breakfast. Ameil Organised our trip to the Udawalawa National Park (and a packed breakfastto see the elephants and made sure we had a fantastic guide who took the time to make sure we saw loads of them. Great restaurant recommendations. He even took us into town so we could chose different places to eat. Within walking distance to the elephant orphanage. Excellent experience all around. Highly recommend.

Highly UNSATISFACTORY, the room had a tv which wasnt working , very poor breakfast ,no bed tea and very poor customer service...when we requested a small omelette since bfast was not even standard, they refused to provide even that to us...highly unsatisactry...I cant even rate them so I rate them as zero :(...pls plz take them out of the booking.com website....the owner was called as amila and he had cancelled the booking without my permission so that he doesnt have to pay commission to your website booking.com...the WORST stay of my life...Chandrani perera

All was good, the hosts friendly and very helpful, the room nice, clean and with all amenities you could such as aircon, bathroom, TV, seating area and kettle plus tea! Breakfast included, so its an awesomely good deal! Recommend! :)Only things that were not so great:- Well, the location was a bit out of town but the host even gave us a lift to the ATM and to the bus stop the next morning, so all good!- The host organized the safari for us with his friend as driver, and even though we enjoyed it I have to mention here that he (the driverbrought us into an unnecessarily risky situation when driving right through two aggravated male elephants which ended up in an attempt of one elephant bull to attack the car. Fortunately we got out of it without anyone being injured (including the elephant!), but it was an unnecessary risk, therefore I do not recommend using this driver.

We had a lovely stay at falcons nest and wed recommend this place to everyone! Amila is a very caring host and his mother cooked a delicious breakfast and dinner for us. The rooms are very modern and clean and the location is great for a safari to udawalawe which Amila organised for us :)

Delicius food, huge portions for a low Price. Pyszne jedzenie i ogromne porcje, za kilka cebulionów:fajna miejscówka dla podróżników ponieważ to głównie guesthause ale z super pokojami, bardzo pomocnym właścicielem i możliwością zorganizowania safari w dobrej cenie. Nie daj się naciągnąć na mieście! Tam jest sprawdzona miejscówka. A poza tym fajny ogród i spokój ponieważ sa tam chyba tylko dwa pokoje do wynajęcia.
