Faja Lobi Bed & Breakfast and Cafe in Gent

We had a lunch there twice, very tasty food (we had Soto soup, and it was delicious), friendly stuff, great combination of price and quality of food. Highly recommended!

Wanted to drink a cocktail as an appetizer, prior to a resto visit the neighborhood. Asked for a Dark n Stormy, brown rhum with ginger beer ... But where was the Rhum??? And nothing aside to accompany my cocktail ... One timer ...

Inquiered about a buffet style lunch for 10 people to see if something could be arranged. Very helpful staff to make sure the buffet was to our taste. Unique and delicious kitchen with great veggie options. Would definitely recommend!

An amazing room, with an ensuite. Views of the street a generous breakfast included when you stay and prime location in the heart of the city.

I come here and want to order a drink at the bar, nothing against the place and the location but the barwoman seemed super unflexible. It’s like talking to a doll that doesn’t react lol. Good drinks!

Nice cosy place. The food is cleanly freshly prepared and very tasteful. The buffet for 18 euros is a steal with nice selection of vegetarian and meat dishes.

Cant say anything bad about it. The B&B is above a restaurant bar, but noise is not to hear. The roim is really big with comfortable bad and beds. Breakfast is simple. Price is very good. For Parking you need to use unfortunately an underground parking area. The staff is very friendly and helps. You can easy walk in 5 minutes to main center. This is for me the choice for a good stay in Gent. And the restaurant is very good by the way-I would say indian style.

Very local, authentic spot with kind peeps and good coffee and breakfast! One thing to note, no lift in the building, so expect to climb a flight of quite narrow and high staircase to get to the rooms. But the view from the room really compensates!! Excellent stay.

My absolute favourite place to have lunch in Ghent! Really close to the city centre, great staff, reasonable price, and the sandwiches are THE best! Whenever I have a friend visit Ghent, I take them here and theyre yet to stop talking about that great sandwich they had at Faja Lobi.

We had a dinner night out with colleagues at work. The food was good, but was limited with space for a group of 15, and the customer service was not excellent, was quite slow.

Simple but great tasting food, and great staff providing fantastic service! A very cosy place, Ill certainly come back again.

Its a comfy restaurant nearby the canal and the cathedral. We drank some bears and ate some snacks. I liked the large menu for drinks and the attention provided by the nice bartender.I found the place very close to the center and the terrace is perfect for hanging out with your friends in summer.

The food was absolutely delicious and they offer some really great vegetarian options! The atmosphere was nice and they have a charity cause you support indirectly.

It was clean and very convenient since it is just a few stops away from the center. In addition, since they have a restaurant downstairs, it is very practical to dine there. The breakfast was very tasty and they were really helpful. Loved it!

I only visited the bar, which has table service (which I think is niceand a pretty extensive beerlist. The setting is cozy and the snacks are great as well.

I am only reviewing the cafe. I had a great meal for a very reasonable price and friendly service. You cant beat that.

Walking distance to main downtown attractions and yet the most tranquile spot to rest, work and have a business meeting by the terrace. My room has a modern heating coal stove, a Deco table and a couple of early XX Century chairs. Felt like heaven in my private terrace, working on my video editing!!

The cappuccino was very watery and milky. The portion was remarkably small. Couldnt make a sandwich in 30 minutes so I have no words about those.

Unique Restaurant, good value for price. Only downside is that the quality of the food varies.

Great bar with good food (Surinameseand delicious alcohol free drinks (but also well-stocked in beer, cocktails etc)! Breakfast on Sunday is also good for its price.

Congolese food in cozy atmosphere. Perfect for meals or long afternoon with all the boardgames they have. Im a regular!

One of my favourite places to have a glass of wine and some excellent food. Seriously. Go try it. Its heaven. Small and cozy. Not great for wheelchair users or pets. Great for you and a friend or two to have a laid back chat.

Very nice Bed and Breakfast, but what is even more interesting is the Cafe or restaurant. They have a very interesting card with Surinamese kitchen. The food is extremely good and for Belgian prices really ok. It is something unusual in comparison to normal European food, but that makes it even more interesting and its not crazy, so everyone can really go there and have a great meal! They also serve a beer called "Djogo" which is perfect when youre not alone because its a big bottle so more then one single glas and you can enjoy it together. Perfect restaurant, really nice!

Neat rooms, friendly people and a very generous breakfast with an impressive selection of homemade marmelades. About 20 mins. walk from the city centre (well to do).
