This is by far one of the more unique Fairfields that my partner and I have stayed at! We really appreciated the breakfast, it was very well stocked with lots of hot food options. While the room was as small as advertised, the bed was very comfortable and the tiled shower with the rainfall head was fantastic. It is located in a great location for mass transit and safety, which is always great when visiting a city away from your own. We would gladly stay again the next time we find ourselves in Philly!
Stayed here for the Pearl Jam concert in Camden, its in a great neighborhood and walking distance for many restaurants.. the room was small but it had a nice bathroom. I would stay there again.
Great experience. Staff was great, room was clean, and had a quiet night of sleep. Thats all you can ask for - less is more.
Well first things first let’s get one thing straight the photo you see in the description is not the hotel and can be misleading because it gives the impression that there is free parking available on site. There is still free parking available depending on when your stay is because it’s on the street. I was lucky enough to arrive on a Sunday right before a holiday so I paid nothing.Ok when it comes down to the hotel itself this is a remodeled apartment building that was made into a hotel. The apartments that once existed have been split into hotel rooms resulting into somewhat of a tiny space, a micro apartment experience. Clean, modern and up to date but none the less ridiculously small. So small to the point the door to the hotel room blocks the bathroom entrance when wide open.Nonetheless I would say this was an observation more than a complaint. This hotel in my opinion is intended for nothing more than a weekend stay. I did a single nite here and I was good. My only complaint is the tv wasn’t working but I’m not stressing it.The bathroom was clean with a vanity mirror and high pressure shower. I would recommend if you doing a short weekend stay.
Ms. Deija Brown at the front desk was very kind, professional, and knowledgeable. I was there to ask questions about an event, Deija was so welcoming, thorough, and personable. She answered all my questions, She was detailed and very informative. I received Excellent Customer Service. I was very impressed. Thank You Deija.
Friendly service, thoughtful decor, great bar. Chef was spotted doing a random act of kindness for a family and deserves recognition for doing a wonderful job.
I did not stay at this property so I cannot attest to its quality or lack thereof. But if the employee who berated me outside the hotel this afternoon is any indication, I would stay far away from the property -- and the Fairfield brand, who employ this angry man in a customer service role that ultimately represents their brand.I was walking my infant and dog past the front entrance today and the individual made no effort to move aside so I had room to pass, and proceeded to get into a screaming match with me -- complete with expletives -- when I accidentally bumped into him while trying to get by. A simple courtesy could have avoided the entire situation, but such is hard to come by these days. And it is evident to me that courtesy is not one of the values that Fairfield upholds.
Daughter upgraded our room. Spacious room with 2 beds. AC was great. Breakfast was most enjoyable. Loved the bar just off the lobby. Staff friendly and helpful. Good stay.
Small room but modern relatively spacious bathroom makes up for it. Bed very comfortable. Staff wonderful. Valet parking efficient and cost is in-line with nearby locations. This place probably has the best free breakfast and coffee of any Fairfield Inn in the U.S.
I do not recommend this terribly cheap and old hotel to anyone! 1 room is very small. 2 The room is very stuffy and stinks of old age. 3 the door to the bathroom is broken, when you close it you can’t get out anymore, you have to try and suffer to somehow open it. The feeling is that this is one of the worst hotels I have visited in the last couple of years, it is not worth the money and its rating!
Checking in was a Breeze ( I had called 1 time prior to this trip to line everything outfeather free pillows because of down allergies in the family. This hotel got it right. The warm reception from from the nice lady at front desk had me feeling like VIP!!! Thank you for that (Should be commended by upper management(+1star)The room upon arrival smelled clean and IS clean. We had a short stay here to visit the Athletic Trainer convention at the convention center. The layout of the smaller king was quaint and efficient. (+1 star)The exhaust fan was kinda odd at first....but it kept the room nice and cool and masked outside city noise really well. Surprised really ... The front desk staff every morning and evening was all smiles and very Friendly... (+1 starthey should be commended for being awesome!Breakfast was pretty good especially with covid-19 protocols around. [Eggs, muffins, waffles, cold cereal, oatmeal, yogurt] The food/cleaning/maintenance staff all very friendly and accommodating (+2 stars)This hotel location is easy to find and surrounding area has quite a few food/entertainment options within a short walk away. (+1 star)I was pleasantly surprised how comfortable the beds were! Water pressure was good. We enjoyed the visit. We will return!!Respectfully,The Smiths
Room is tiny. I mean tiiiiny. Only one elevator is working and theres no service elevator so its an average 5-10 minute wait per ride. Had a shooting outside. Nonstop drag racing between 2-6am. Staff is lovely but Im never ever staying here again
Be sure if you are staying longer term to get the bigger room. When they say small they mean it. In downtown Philly about two blocks from restaurants and within a mile of downtown attractions. The walls are very thin and you will be woke up every morning with housekeeping trying to walk into your room at 8:30 a.m. (even with the do not disturb out). They slam the doors on all the other rooms around you so you will hear them coming. When they do service the room, they will only make the beds & take dirty linens, not leave additional towels etc. Breakfast is sandwiches heated in a microwave or lots of starchy items. Fruit pickings were slim. Highlight was the friendliness of the desk staff and the valet service. They were great!
I made a reservation in this hotel and from the moment I stepped in my customer service experience was unbelievable uwfull , the lady at the front desk doesnt even greet you with a welcome nor a good afternoon on top of that ,I felt like she was doing me a favor to have me there and put up with me , this is the kind of attitude no one should tolerate ever, I paid for this service she was disrespectful and very unprofessional, I will never stay at this hotel and will make sure none of the people I know including friends and family, ( Believe me we are all over the country), never do. Reserved at your own risk.
Fun hotel in a great location. Staff are great, included breakfast very good. Most rooms comfortable but tiny, just be warned. And one of the elevators is broken.
The Good:- Room was very clean.- Gym was decent.- Complimentary breakfast was really good. The Bad:- AC did not work at all; we visited early May (time of this reviewand the room got uncomfortably warm at night because the day-time temps were in the upper 70s. Front desk even sent a repair person who said they fixed it, but it still didnt work the next night although fortunately it rained and the temps dropped into the 60s so it was comfortable just with the windows cracked.- The cold water in the bathrooms (basement and our roomcomes out at a literal trickle. To fill a tiny cup took about 30 seconds. Why is it like this? The repairman did increase the flow in our room when they tried to fix the AC so that was good at least. This imbalanced water flow makes washing your face/hands or getting a cup of water to brush your teeth or drink very awkward. The Ugly:- The bathroom had a pocketdoor (one that slides into the walland it literally fell off the track and we had to force it open and closed, so if someone wanted privacy in the morning to use the bathroom while others were sleeping they either had to do so with the door wide open, or make a lot of noise and wake everyone else up.- The internet was really weak so watching certain TV channels were very glitchy and pixelated since the internet was too slow to keep up with them. For this budget price, youll get what you pay for in downtown Philly.
Clean and comfortable stay. Up to date rooms, shower, tv, bed. Only complaints are breakfast wasn’t good, housekeeping kept knocking on my door on a day I wasn’t checking out (I had a dnd sign hanging in my door), and there was only one of the two elevators running. I ended up walking down 11 flights on my check out day after waiting twenty minutes for the elevator to never come. Still would stay again.
Hotel was clean and continental breakfast was good. Literally thought I was going to get stuck in the elevator because it took forever to come up or down and they only have one. The restaurant was good if you just wanted to get a drink or quick dinner. Check in was just ok. One of the receptionist should probably be a little friendlier if she’s going to be greeting people. Everyone else was great.
The view from out room was a 12 out of 10. The room was very spacious and the beds were super comfortable. The only reason I am giving this a 4 is because only one elevator was working and that was an issue a couple of times and there was a problem with water in the shower on the 12 floor for the first morning. It was taken care of by the second morning. We had called the maintenance guy up because the bathroom door will lock if you shut the door a certain way. He told us that the water thing happens occasionally. With all that said. I would stay here again.
