Burgers & pints meet boxty & bangers at this classic pub featuring a Bloody Mary bar on game days.
Great location and selection of beverages. I wasnt a big fan of the coffee. It was a little weak but still good.
Cold beer good selection, good Cod fish n chips, attentive but not obstrusive manner. Would like some more Irish fare on the menu. Recommend.
They open early for Premier League matches, as early as 7 AM! The bartender let me in for one such early kickoff and was very nice throughout the game! Great variety of drinks and food too!
Swung in here on New Year’s Day. Service was friendly, and accommodating. Rainier tall can tasted just like Rainier. Potato wedges were crispy and lovely. Beer battered chicken tenders were fried to perfection. This place was in the part of Seattle were a lot of homeless folks hang out. Be mentally prepared for that if you are not from the area.
Stopped in here on my way home from the airport. The food and the beer were good. The bartender was great. There are a few charging outlets under the bar in the back if you’re like me and drain your battery during a flight.
We had family visiting from Pittsburgh 2 years ago who wanted to watch the Steelers game, so we brought them here to enjoy the game. 2 years ago, we were not impressed with the food, but we returned last week and the food was much better! We had a great time with the other Steelers fans enjoying the game. We will definitely go back when visiting family wants to catch a game!
We were there at an odd time on Saturday, and it was pretty much empty. Beers were good, seating comfy, server attentive and friendly. Menu sounded yummy, but we were headed home to eat all the good food we bought at the market.
Great atmosphere. Great service. The Irish breakfast was delicious. Would recommend for anyone :).
This is one of my favorite places to stop in to when I am waiting for my ferry. They are about one block from the Seattle / Bremerton ferry. The food is tasty and on the Irish side. The drinks are well put together, and the beer selection is diverse enough, having local favs. They have live music on weekends. My only negative is that its a bit expensive. Staff seems to be responsive and friendly. Dark and Irish environment. Would recommend.
Ever since my buddy recommended this place, almost every time my wife and I have visited Seattle weve visited this establishment and have had a great time. The pretzels are to die for with their beer cheese and have a great selection of drinks. Even my 20 month of kid will sit still to eat the food. With the location right by the ferry I know well be back many more times for a great meal and great drinks. We wish this restaurant wasnt a ferry ride away but we make excuses to take the ferry and go. We invite people visiting from out of town to go here and theyre always impressed with the service and with the food.
I havent been to Ireland, but Ive been to Seattle a whole hell of a lot. This place is super inviting, with great food and a cool atmosphere. Its also worth adding that Sinead is the greatest waitress/bartender/bar manager in the entire universe.
Great dive for getting your hands on Irish whiskey and ales. Decent selection for draft beer accompanied by additional bottle selection. I didnt get to try the whiskey but the food was on par. Great friendly service to round out a pleasant bite out.
Definitely cool place to hang out and gives you the Irish feeling when you’re in there. Best half and half Guinness in town hands down, its an art to pour Guinness so perfectly and Fado excels in that. Their roasted red pepper hummus is also a must try.
Fado Irish Pub is a cool place to hang out! We came here with friends, they have $4 mimosas and $12 carafe mimosa. I didnt get a chance to eat because I wasnt feeling well but I did get some pictures. Service is awesome. Dont know her name but she was amazing. Skinny with a ponytail (brunette). Check out their decor its fabulous!
We showed up here on a Sunday evening and to our delight, caught an Irish music jam session!! Loved it!! Guitar, violins, flute, accordion and more. Delightful folks! I very much recommend the fish tacos here and the Irish beer. Yum! I hope to be back.
Drinks are always good, as well as the atmosphere. There is always a variety of spaces that you can sit in. The food always looks intriguing but never quite lives up to expectation. Its good, not great. For some reason, on this visit, the center section of the bar smells like a urinal. Perhaps Saturday was a heavy party? I think they need to use a better disinfectant on their floors.
We first ventured to Fado a couple years ago when in town for a wedding food was great loved the vibe, went back Mothers day with the couple since we were back.In a word "Awesome" on all points. Everyone in love with their food from the fish n chips to the chicken baguette to black bean burgers. Pints were great, service top notch, and then the unexpected pleasure of the Irish music group practicing at the next table. When back in Seattle, especially if there is a match will make an intentional trip no doubt. Whoever runs this place gets it and that is evident all the way through our experience.
Went on a whim in the early afternoon on a Monday. Not incredibly busy, as expected. But our server was beyond kind, helpful and prompt. I REALLY wish I could remember her name. Anyhow, I have a broken jaw and she suggested the best item on the menu that I could eat and it was amazing. Only complaint is I was really looking forward to a pint of Blackthorn, which apparently is no longer on tap. Please bring back the best dry cider there is. Awesome, as always.
Fish tacos are really good. Good selection of beers and ciders.
Coolest atmosphere of any Irish pub in the city! Plus, the service, food, and drinks are all top notch! I have been in several times since first finding this pub, and I have never been disappointed at all. Also, it is big plus to be able to watch soccer here.
Lets start with this. Atmosphere is a 5. People that come here are great. From what I can tell, they play the games we want to watch. My big thing is food. This is a 3 star food establishment. Its a chain restaurant that gives a great "local pub" vibe but puts out food like its the Olive Garden. On the plus side: Excellent beer and spirits selection. As I always say; try it for yourself... Im just some guy on the internet.
Came here for an event and the staff was ready! They were all very polite and fast! So happy this was on the list because I will definitely be visiting again. :amazing selection of beers, ciders and cocktails and they were all poured and made to perfection!
Burger was good for pub food - not as flavorful as at a good burger place - but plenty of fresh quality lettuce (not iceberg), nice thick tomato slice, and it stayed together to the end. It took a few minutes for the server to come over with menus but the food came quickly and she didnt keep us waiting when we were ready to pay the check and leave.
Excellent stop while touring, lots of interesting people, great food and fast service.
Terrific Hawks pre game spot! Very friendly wait staff and turn around was quick. Restaurant was great, only complaint is the way seattle allows bums and derelicts to wander aimlessly. Didnt feel safe at all outside, but inside Fado, it was great!
A good spot to come and watch football, as they have several games playing. Their Fado Bloody Mary is not bad, and they have a heavy pour for their Mimosas, which my wife appreciated. We had a couple of their appetizers, as well as some items brunch, which were not bad. The one bummer is that they do not have Magners on tap, only in the bottle. Other than that, a great spot for football and a pint.
Great service here! Excellent food! I was very happy with the boxty and cheese appetizer, had a great salad and they were very nice to accommodate me with a grilled chicken breast on top. My friend had the shepherds pie and said it was very good.
An excellent proxy for being in an Irish pub.... but in Seattle. One of the truly authentic elements of an Irish pub is the Snug. Women were not allowed in pubs in Ireland before the 1960s, nor were they popular with priests, so pubs introduced the "snug" which was a confessional style booth that allowed anonymity to the person drinking in it. Fados has a snug, they call it, "the confessional". Its about as authentic as you are going to get in Seattle.
Service was amazing. Felt welcomed by every team member there. The happy hour had some tasty whiskey drinks on it. Those were all tasty. Food was great, we got the fish and chips. Quality meal. There was plenty of space to have a nice sit down meal. Restaurant was clean and close to many down town attractions.
Fadó is your quintessential Irish bar. Ive been to a few Irish bars across four continents and I have to say this one is the best. I felt like walking into a proper pub in Ireland. Being a proper Irish Pub, Fadó even carries Conor Mcgregors whiskey Proper 12. I was lucky enough to get the first served pour the other day! In addition to Proper 12 I had to have a Guiness, which was perfectly poured, and a double stacked burger. The burger came on a potato bun and hit the spot. It was a monster! Ill definitely be back here and especially for the upcoming UFC fight this weekend. Stop by here for a pint and some Proper 12!!
Great food great location excellent service we go here often.
I have been eating here for years and I love this place! I moved out of state, but every time I come back for a visit I try to make sure I stop by. The food is fresh as well as delicious. The menu is easy to choose from and the portion sizes are just right. The decorations are vintage delights that can keep your eyes busy for hours. The service staff is always right on point, they even exchanged a shand for me when it wasnt to my liking, free of charge!! I highly recommend their bread pudding!
Our first time in Seattle, stopped here for some drinks and appetizers. Cool pub. Friendly service and great food.
Nice joint, very roomy. Good place for company happy hours. The food is quite excellent, actually. Ive never been disappointed by an order. The mixed drinks are sometimes awful. My wife ordered an Irish coffee, and I still sometimes wonder how they managed to make it taste so awful. Oh well. Hit and miss, I suppose.
Great food and fun atmosphere. Really amazing service.
Went for a world cup match. Great atmosphere for watching games and the service was pretty good, especially considering how many people were in the bar! The food was classic, solid pub food that was better than expected. Great selection of beers too.
We almost always come here for the big World Cup games... their food is good and beer selection is great! I remember having their corned beef and cabbage, ages ago, and thinking it was amazing. Might only be able to get it on weekends, for brunch or something, though. The Irish waitress weve had recently is hilarious and super friendly!
We drove all over Washington stopping and getting awesome food everywhere we went but this was the best place we got food from. They have this pimento cheese thats heated and covered in this bacon chutney its so good, I still dream about it. They also have the seared salmon bites that are a must-try. Im so happy Google asked me about this place because I forgot the name. I live in Oregon and will be back just to go here. One of my favorite days of the trip. The staff was really cool too. As Im writing this my friend Jon tells me he use to work there 20 pounds ago. According to Jon food is fresh and they treat the employees well. 👌
They play champions league games here, and the fried chicken is the best across any pub I’ve had. That’s all you need to know.
Amazing! Love the vibe and the food and drink options!
I have been to a few Fadó Pubs and have never been disappointed; this location is no exception. We enjoyed food from the bar menu as we watched the game. The bartender was cheerful and provided top notch service. The Guinness was crisp and fresh. A great spot to meet friends or make new ones.
Its an Irish pub right on first avenue. Its pretty big, so chances of finding a spot here is more likely even during rush hours. It has an old vibe to it which I like. Also their happy hour food is pretty good, especially fish n chips and fish tacos. Finding street parking around here can be very difficult given how busy 1st Ave is.
We just had a retirement luncheon there yesterday which I organized. The event person was easy to work with and was even able to squeeze in a few more people at the last minute. The food is good, with a nice variety. Prices are mid-range for downtown Seattle. I didnt hear any complaints. Recommended.
I come here everytime to get the GREATEST (SHEPHERDS PIEIS A MUST.The beer is great, staff is very good, all the food is good. They have Seattle Sounders games there with all those tvs.A must try.....
Learned new Irish Pub etiquette ; Telling patrons to "F... Off" by a server is ok - according to the manager. However hugging is out of line??Good to hear that the rude server only has a couple of weeks. Our server was great.Wasnt impressed with the rule server or the manager.Large bone in pork slider.
I loved the fish tacos! I was really impressed by how good the food was. The fish tacos were pretty much spot on. The slaw was crispy, the fish was warm and salty, and the lemon made it pop! The salmon bites were great too. I liked the smoked salmon more than the bread it was served on. The bread had a weird texture- still really good, but I think it needed to be cooked a minute more. It was too soft in the middle.Also... they had good fountain drinks. Not all soda machines are created equal. My Coke was cold and fizzy!
A great bar restaurant. They have the best onion rings I have ever had. Great place for a cocktail and a snack. Ive been here numerous times for work related parties or the occasional hangout and the staff is always great as well as the cleanliness of the establishment. Stop by here for a craft cocktail and get some appetizers for an easy going time.
Good boozer to watch the football in. Breakfasts are good and staff are friendly.
Been to the one in Philadelphia so had to try this one in Seattle. Food was delicious and a great place for the whole family. Each room has is own unique atmosphere.
Ive been in just for drinks several times and the service was always excellent. The building itself is gorgeous. When I went in for an actual meal I was extremely impressed. I had the pulled lamb sandwich. It was juicy and extremely flavorful. Out waiter was an actual Irishman who was more than friendly to my whole family. Unfortunately he no longer works there, but if the rest of the staff are half as nice as him I wouldnt find a reason to complain.
