Faces Nightclub in Sacramento

Came for Amour Ball. We bought advanced tickets ($50), spent *HOURS* getting ready for the strict fantasy dress code, took a $20 Lyft ride to get turned away from the door and told I could not come in at all because I had a vape BATTERY!!! No drugs, no paraphernalia- just a BATTERY.I almost cried, saw another bouncer and explained to her “all I have is a battery- it’s not drugs,” to which the original bouncer said “she isn’t gonna tell you anything different than I do…” Well- SHE DID! She said “it’s just a battery, no drugs” and they said okay and let me in.No one knew where coat check was, upstairs was closed… just a mess. I’m only giving the stars I am because the rest of the staff was decent

We were there for my friends Birthday. 20 for a cover is ridiculous. We got kicked out before we even went in because our other friend smoked then they wanted to kick another group of girls out because they thought they were with us. I had been going to faces since 2002 this is just BS. They were only harrasing the black people in line.

Let me just start with this: it is the year of our lord 2022. Miss me with the cash-only cover, especially when it’s $20. People under 30 don’t carry cash.We had a lot of fun at this bar and it is spacious. Loved that each room had different music and a different vibe. The upstairs area is awesome cause it’s super dark and has a great view of the stage below. The drinks were hella strong, so they were definitely worth the price!It’s really weird that they have a pool but won’t let you go in it, seems like they should just get rid of it. Was also odd to spend that much money to get in and yet there was no drag performance on a Friday night. If you charge that much, there better be more than dancing included. Also, scrap the techno floor. Make it a pop floor or something.It was my first time here. Next time I’ll check out Badlands across the street.

The stupid security guard at the front door needs to be fired. I came out of the club for 5 mins to smoke, and she wouldn’t let me back in because I was limping. I explained to her very calmly that I have a bad knee that’s why I am limping, but she decided to think I was too drunk to go back in. I came all the way from OR to just have a fun night with my friends and she ruined it with misjudgment and ignorant. Maybe in her world everyone is perfectly OK physically and all liars. Also the bar tender was a little rude, but I don’t blame him since he was really working hard.

four foot security guard that worked the front of the house was very rude for no reason when entering FACES. Killed the whole vibe. Need better front house security.

Love the remodel, people are great ,service amazing.

FACES, your female front of house security has undoubtably cost you guys a lot of business and money. The other reviews are on point. Kills the vibe before you even get in the door. The amount of hostility radiating from one human being is incredible. I’m shocked she hasn’t spontaneously combusted from it. Maybe time for a career change. Front of house staff = the face and first impression of a business. FACES, you are choosing to lose many good paying customers, as well as your reputation by allowing this from your employee(s). Not acceptable.

AJ, the bartender by the pool outside, hands down the best bartender in Faces!

Bar tender was on something. Almost all the bartenders were super rude. The club is very lively but it is almost too packed;you can barely move and people were sloppy drunk. It was super hot and I think that’s what made it uncomfortable. They also were not accepting card at the door, cash only!

My friend was assaulted by one of the security guards and my husband was also assaulted on the property by another guy outside the club. They did nothing to help, but are claiming the entire group we were with was causing trouble all night. This was the first time we’ve ever been there, we were minding our business all night, but when I was time to leave my husband tried to ask if he could find our other friend we were with and was shoved away from the doors. Causing a huge scene. They need new security who aren’t on a power trip, acting overly aggressive, and putting hands on people.

They better not have old Karen Security guards . Who yells at people for no reason . Very disappointed. It was and old lady with short hairs extremely rude. For no reason any business better have nice well mannered staff. After all we pay to be .

We got kicked out because my cousin was disabled with a scooter! Security stated her scooter was a health danger. We were in the club for a few hours and when she got on shift she targeted my cousin for being disabled! We are moving forward with a lawsuit for discrimination.

Horrible security. Place wanted $20 to just GET IN. The security lady kicked our friend out of line for having a Nicotine Pen LOL. She also said that he was banned for the rest of the night so he couldn’t just go put it in his car, and she actually described him on her little radio. Like… what..?Anyways, So all 5 of us went right across the street to Badlands and paid $6 to get in, paid $25 for 5 shots(a few roundswith chasers and had a great time. Forget Faces. It was my first time trying to go and I will NOT be going back. Fire that female security guard on her power trip!! You are literally losing 90% of your patrons to Badlands because of ridiculous security.

We came here for a show and to see Willow Pill perform. Such a fun night! The DJ does a good job at actually mixing tracks unlike other clubs we’ve been to in the area. Always such a fun time here and there are plenty of spaces to dance and enjoy the night with friends.

Highly unprofessional!!! Issues with entry lady at front desk tried to say my black friend and I looked alike and that we both had fake ids. Tried to give her my government Id and she would not take it. After seeing the issue on her side she gave a shity apology and charged me 30 to get in.. do not go if you are a poc. Also wayyyy to many straight people at a gay bar.

Been here twice now and had an amazing time when I went. Patrick is my favorite bartender. This club has pretty small dance floors but has great other seating areas outside and upstairs. The only thing I knocked off a point for was I only saw half of members being patted down and not the others. Just as a safety thing I believe everyone should be patted down. I definitely will be coming back. I love the differences in all of their dance floors; there is a little bit for everyone.

They had an old crackhead lady checking people at the entrance and she didnt let me in even though all of my friends went in ahead of me.

FOH security (short middle aged femalekills the vibe before you get into the door. Doesnt seem like she wants anyone to come in or have fun. Maybe should find a different type of job where she doesnt need to interact with human beings.

Loved this place......pool....judgement free zone to be.....gonna miss it when it sells.

Don’t go here.I tipped the bartender in cash and he had the nerve to tip himself an additional $10 on top of my $10 tab by writing it on the receipt.Totaling $20.American Express confirmed that the bartender indeed wrote himself the tip.The bartender (white male, 20-30s, about 6ft, techno bottom floordidn’t even hand me my receipt and I didn’t think much of it until i saw my transactions post two days later. I was there on 2/19/22 Saturday, please hold your bartenders accountable Faces.Tried getting ahold of the place by text, call, and email. No response, and it has been 10 days. This is low and isn’t right.If you go here and use card. Check your transactions, and ask for a receipt.

Me and my friend went to this club on a Friday night. We got drinks at the bar and were having a nice time. We went to the bathroom, in the same stall to save time for the people waiting behind us… we were in there for maybe 5 mins tops and were greeted by security cards telling us to get out. We asked what we did wrong and no one could tell us, only that we were being “weird” in the bathroom. We tried to clear this up with them. That we were just trying to save time for the people behind us. And they didn’t listen. For a “gay” nightclub they sure were judge-mental and profiled us. Made us pay money for no reason. I’ll never go back and will continue to tell everyone to not support this business. They just want your money and don’t care who you are

Best dance club I have ever been in. Live in Utah so havent been for a while. Love this place. Next time I am in Sacramento will want to be here again

Faces needs to hire new security. That one short, brunette, wicked witch of the west lookin bouncer (who is apparently head of securitykicked us out because my friend had an insulin pump for Type 1 Diabetes. They told my friend that she had to leave because she had a prescribed insulin vial in her bag for her insulin pump. They told her that having Type 1 Diabetes is a liability for them and that she’s not allowed to drink alcohol if she has Diabetes. Apparently the security thinks they know more about Diabetes than the person who’s had Type 1 Diabetes for the last 13 years. Never in her entire life has she been discriminated against at a club for having Diabetes except at Faces Nightclub. Horrible experience. Those security guards need to get over their disgusting power trip.

This club is fun but they need to hire a new security staff. After reading another review I felt I had to express my experience here. It seems like the short brunette female security guard has a Napoleon Complex going on and randomly decides who to kick out of the club. I was simply standing with my girlfriend in the corner of the room when she came up to us and told us we had to leave. My girlfriend was completely sober and although I was a little intoxicated there were a lot more people in the club going crazy all over the dance floor extremely drunk. We were minding our own business and not bothering anyone when she quite literally pushed us out. She was unnecessarily rude and violent. After she told us we had to leave my girlfriend asked if she could go tell our friends so we wouldnt be separated. She said no, that we had to leave right now and proceeded to forcefully grab us and push us out the door. This was shocking to us as we hadnt done anything. Meanwhile there were some creepy guys making us uncomfortable but they werent kicked out...

Faces racially discriminated against me and my partner today because we look Asian. A female security officer targeted us while waiting for the bathroom and told my partner to leave because they, according to the officer, had their "eyes half closed and appear to be drunk", but my partner has Asian eyes and features. The officer, a brown haired, tan skin older latina woman, grabbed my partner roughly by the wrist and told us to get out, despite us claiming sobriety and telling her to stop assaulting us. She had no other reason to target us despite my partner "appearing" to be drunk without any evidence or claims of disorderly conduct. Nobody was wearing masks indoors despite mask mandates required, people were passed out in the restrooms far more intoxicated than anyone else, and drugs were abundant. This business actively discriminates against people of color and their security detail will target and harass you physically for no logical reason whatsoever.

Until I came here, I had no idea that it was possible to overmix a song. The Latin and pop dance floors were jamming, but the techo floor sucked so bad.Pick a song, any song, and not only did they not play it all the way through, they wouldnt play the whole chorus. Song after song... it got depressing. Many times, people just stood there, not knowing if they could dance to it.I love to dance and a decade ago, this was my all time favorite dance club.

Would recommend stopping here. Had an absolutely amazing night the bar was cool and quirky! Theres a waiter called Micah and he was the absolutely best waiter Ive experienced with. Didnt have to wait more than 5mins for drinks he was very attentive to my friend and I also had great recommendations and was extremely helpful. If Im ever back in Sacramento Ill definitely be back. Great service.

If you have never been to good bars try this one out. 4 massive rooms / dance floor. second floor got good bar open area.This place wont disappoint the $10 cover charge the put on weekends.

I had so much fun here. My very first night club and dancing experience and i couldnt have been more impressed. I celebrated my birthday here and they gave me a free drink and everything. Great music great vibes and very sexy dancers lol i had the time of my life jus dancing the night away here. Anyone looking to have fun this is definitely the place to go.

The different music on every dance floor is great depending on what I feel like dancing too. Attractive bar tenders, whom I enjoy tipping extra. They also have a pool, but I have yet to see sexy bikini clad women hanging around. Also, a couple of the restrooms are co-ed.

AJ is amazing. I dont usually come to faces but my friend asked me to come with her and AJ took care of us on Friday night. I had an amazing time. He is really nice and he makes amazing drinks.

Faces has since shaped up since the last time I was a DJ there. Fact is that it was more of a Saloon than it was a Nightclub. It was more dark and moody. Recently it changed management and most of the staff have been replaced. Plus the outdoor seating has improved as well. I guess they learned their lesson after complaints. Also, they dont seem to be informed of the Real ID Law that the USG has put in place. That needs to change, too.

Google just reminded me to post my review of this establishment. This club wouldnt let me in because I had a backpack purse. Ive been to clubs in New York, Denver, and Minneapolis with the same bag, but somehow Faces Nightclub in Sacramento is too good for Betsy Johnson backpack purses. Whatevs, me and my guy had a great night at Press Club not far from there and it was great.

They deny legal Real IDs issued by the United States Government. They are not educated about identifications such as passport cards nor permanent residency cards aka green cards. They scan your IDs in their database and retain your confidential information on record. Be warned. Update your knowledge or you will scare your genuine customers away.

Is this a gay bar anymore ? It feels as if the straights have taken over. The last three times I came I usually end up leaving fast. It use to be a great lgbt place. I had to tell a guy that I was not straight at least 10 times. I will just stick to Badlands.

Faces is the best place to go dancing and to have yummy drinks hands down! Even when it is completely dead, which is usually the nights I go, I still manage to have a great time. Usually the bartenders are pretty nice and so are the patrons. Overall, great nightclub but not really a gay hot spot anymore which was a little disappointing.

Fantastic place!! Lounge areas and the pool pretty awesome too!! Kyle the bartender was both appealing and pleasing, very cute and super fast making me my drink;)

My first time going was at the beginning great, my friend and I enjoyed the music, however their steps are not marked and i ended up falling, hurt myself badly and was sent by security on Lyft to emergency room, Ive called them to get info on insurance and have not recieved a call back its been almost a week my leg is not good, thankfully not broken but in a lot of pain... Would be great if someone in charge called me back though. . . Doctor thinks Ill need physical therapy, like Really??? Please call me!

MAIN THING HERE, Thanks to the bar tenderes for honoring the DD gets anything on the house. my friends had a blast and there security went well with me staying sober. seriously thanks for hooking me up without doubt. y’all even offered me sodas and non alcoholic drinks. next time it’ll be me ordering real drinks and leaving y’all fat tips. thanks men. also to the staff, i noticed y’all were on it! cleaning up all the left cups and table tops! superb, finally a club who keeps there floors clean.

I have been here exactly twice now and both times have been extremely bad experiences. The first time I went was for a Sunday night drag show. I honestly wish I had never gone. The show was great and all the queens were amazing, however, most of the people in attendance were beyond wasted. So wasted that in literally any other bar they would have been kicked out. Not at faces though. They allowed people to be not only rowdy, but downright disrespectful of the show taking place. Even after announcing several time that the stage was off limits, some chick was allowed to dance with a contender until another queen dragged her away. Where was security??On my second visit, the entire downstairs and pool area were open. I thought it would be nice to grab a drink and just chill for a bit. Unfortunately, I never got the chance due to the barrage of overly wasted dudes hitting on me, groping me, and cat calling me. Again, where was security?? Amazingly, it gets worse. Luckily I had a friend with me because as we were leaving some random guy tried to literally drag me into the bathroom for who knows what reason. Absolutely horrifying. I will not be returning.

This is a great club and have no issue with them in person. However, I lost my keys and have called at least 10+ times throughout the day and evening for 3 days and no one answers nor returns any calls or emails. I recommend going in to talk to someone, which I did, because they are very helpful and friendly, and too busy to sit by a phone.

$15-30 entry depending on whats going on. We have always had a great time coming here. It seems kind of fun with three or four different DJs blasting their sounds. We have come here pretty high and always feel safe. always a lot of security. The upstairs outdoor seating area is awesome to take a break

I always come here with my best friend and its so great to go to a "gay" bar and be straight and not feel unwelcomed. Its a nice environment and its great to have a place he feels comfortable to go dancing and have a good time and feels right at home rather than go to any other bar or club. My gbf loves it and so do I

This is me and my friends go to club when weve had a stressful week, were craving street style tacos and we dont feel like getting grabbed on and harassed by straight men! 😁 Always has great music, people and vibes!!

Just went on a Saturday night with my husband. Had so much fun! Got. There at 11:30, 3 dance floors, Hip hop, EDM and Latin. $15 entry fee. Security was cool, open dress code. Last call at 1:45am and taco ladies on front patio. Cant beat this! We will be back! Oh and they have gender nutural restrooms.

Gotta love faces where else can you get a good drink dance till your gonna drop and enjoy a dip in a nice pool. Never have i had any issues with security and everyone ive met or spoken to have been just the nicest from the staff to the patrons. If ur at the bar and your having trouble geting a drink then do as i do look the bar tender in the eyes if you make no eye contact hows he to know ur there to order and not just another barfly?

I will no longer be returning to this club. Not only is security disrespectful, but they were aggressive with several patrons while I was at the club yesterday. I observed the bouncers pushing several people who were not causing a scene or doing anything wrong. I dont understand why this type of aggression is permitted, especially at a club thats supposed to be centered around equality and peace. I highly recommend people go elsewhere.
