77A Charterhouse St, Farringdon, London EC1M 6HJ, At Tur
3 massive spaces host resident and guest DJs playing drum and bass, dubstep, house and techno.
Coolest club in the UK. Music, venue, staff, all are fantastic. Its big, its eclectic, the audience comes for the music and enjoys a great night. Its very popular so expect long lines on weekends or get a vip/ guest list to jump the line.
The idea of fabric is better than the reality. Main room is too small and the dance floor so overcrowded it’s unpleasant. As it’s such a commercial entity the crowd can also be a bit hit and miss, lots of guys there to just try pick up girls like it’s one of those cheesy west end venues, whereas the other half genuine clubbers trying to enjoy the music. The bar isn’t too overpriced (like it is at e1but the bar staff have no idea or no interest in making a proper drink. Last came here a few years ago and forgot how annoying it is. Been clubbing for many years at some of the great clubs but this isn’t one of them. Shame as they have some of the best dj’s playing there but I’d just wait for them to be playing somewhere else for a better night out. Pros - Didn’t have a problem with the security checks or sticker on my phone camera- all for that tbh. Sound system is good- Doesn’t hurt your ears.
Decent techno playing in room 2, but no entry fee advertised until you get to the desk, which also takes about half an hour. Security, whilst actually very pleasant, do a very thorough search, which is good in some aspects, although a little overbearing. A 4pm close is too early for this type of venue, it needs to be at least a 6am finish. The endless steps and tiny rooms may somewhat add to its charm but are also a hassle. We went because xoyo was closed for the evening, and it turned out OK, but the £30 entry fee was more than wed usually want to pay, especially for what you get for it. Drinks prices are also excessive, however, this is something you expect and can avoid quite easily by dosing up beforehand, or consuming other things to keep you going.
£11 for a double rum and coke!! its all watered down and filled with ice!! idc anymore, it’s an absolute rip off; it was only til the second drink I could taste a hint of rum which confirmed just how blatant it was! For those prices someone needs to say something..
Bouncers just want to scrap with anyone smaller then them. Used to be amazing, too over rated now.My friends sticker fell off his phone and they basically man handled him to the exit, left him drunk outside. If we didnt see him, he wouldnt have got his belongings back from the cloak room. And he would have been separated from the group.
Beautiful venue that’s great to run around in! However, the vibe is utterly dead, it’s massively oversold, filled with 18 year olds and 60 year olds with little in between. Door staff are very decent and if you’re found with drugs they still let you in. Dance floor fully saturated with people just standing around vaping, rather than dancing. One to avoid.Utterly pointless sticker put on your phone camera that people remove instantly and they end up just littering the area!
I attended an event at Fabric on Thursday 29th September and I was groped in the crowd. I immediately fled the crowd and burst into tears. A couple of staff members came over to me to see if I was okay and I explained what happened. They took me to a room to ask me some questions and calm me down, and gave me some water. The staff were so so helpful and attentive to my situation. They couldn’t have been more helpful actually. Luke and George were amazing and looked after myself, my friend and sister for the rest of the night and made sure we felt safe.Even after we decided to leave, Luke advised George to walk us to an Uber to check we got there safely. I can’t thank them enough for prioritising my safety and actually taking me seriously. Because all too often, women aren’t taken seriously when these incidents happen.
The security checks was just too much , touching my nipples was very intimidating experience. Also the music wasn’t great and the place is overcrowded .
If you have any experience and have expectations to enjoy a techno event, dont go, no matter who is playing. It is an overpriced prison. You get searched far worse than at the airport, theres staff everywhere watching you suspiciously even in the toilets. Events are oversold so you cant dance and even if you try to, every 5 minutes a staff member will come by with a flashlight to check up on you. They even put stickers on your phone like in Berlin, but you dont get to do any of the fun stuff so I really dont see the point. Superficial money grabbing prison experience.
The sound systems is top notch. Same as the DJs, great sets. Sadly the place was too crowded with only two rooms open. But what really is disturbing in all clubs so far in Britain and here of course is the obsession with fotos and videos, sometimes even with flashes. In Germany you would get expelled for that. It could be helpful to actually thin out the crowd prior entry.Pretty upsetting was the lightning. There was an excessive amount of white light. Never seen anything as such.If you want to go to fabric take mind that you can enjoy very good sets and sound system with lots of trade-off.
After hearing via word of mouth , nothing but positivity about Fabric, i attended with a few of my close university friends, and let’s just say they lived up to their reputation. On the way there I unfortunately experienced what can only be described as an “unfortunate accident” , during which I attained a painful and bloody injury on both my left elbow and right eyebrow. When I arrived at the acclaimed “Fabric” I was greeted an incredibly hospitable and friendly member of staff, who noticed my injuries and took me instantly to the medical room. I want to especially thank the medic Nemo, I had never met such a friendly member of staff at any night club, or in fact at any venue in general. After being patched up perfectly , I was kindly escorted into the club which after hours of dancing and socialising , undoubtedly led to Fabric being the funnest clubbing night I’ve ever had in London.I will definitely be coming back, special thank you to Nemo, get that man a raise!Thank you Fabric!
the music is good if you like rap/techno (would be nice if london clubs played indie music for once thoughand there’s a great sound system but some of the servers at the bar are rude, judgemental and incompetent, so do yourself a favour and drink beforehand to avoid their rudeness/having to wait 30 minutes just for one drink
Leaving a review to say that the back check staff tonight (Sunday 18th Septwere amazing - I had dropped my debit card somewhere inside and after telling cloakroom staff they were able to get it back for me in about 5 minutes. Have never had this happen so efficiently before, even at much smaller venues. You saved me a lot of hassle and its hugely appreciated. Big thanks to the staff and to the honest person who handed it in!
Great club, needs much stricter INDOOR security enforcement.Fabrics zero tolerance policy is not being enforced past the (usuallythorough door check. Big groups of people take drugs on the dancefloor together. Same thing for people smoking/filming/climbing on stage during live sets (18/09/2022 was particularly bad). Its a shame, but I will continue to support fabric and the artists who perform there, and thankfully the real fans in the crowd do a much better job by self-policing than security.
Beautiful club, great soundsystem. However, this place is often so overbooked that it completely ruins the experience. No space to dance anywhere and tonight I had to queue for 15 minutes just to go from room 1 to room 2 due to the sheer mass of people. Even the smokers area is just a crowded mess.Would pick a different venue solely due to this issue, and its a shame they have this awful ticket policy. Makes it clear that the whole thing just turned into one big money grab, not a single care for the ravers experience.
Very disappointed in this club. Bought a ticket to attend Sasha Live, as I was queueing I was given stickers by the security to put on my phone front and back camera and when I asked I was advised that this is venue policy. The clubbing industry has evolved and generations passed, by stopping people from taking videos and photos, you already killing the excitement. Everyone wants to share, tag and post stories. Please think and reflect. It almost feels like you want us to be hiding away or scared of telling anyone we are here. We love this club, it’s one of 2 left in town, don’t kill the moment.
Security are decrepit jackals who ruin EVERYTHING about this club. Never visiting again because of them.Normal staff within the venue are fine. The security guards / failed police officers are the lowest of the low.
Wow, the vodka is so watered down, you have a sip of straight vodka & you don’t even flinch from the taste. I would guesstimate they add 30-40% water to their spirits. Stick to canned beer!
I’m in the United States Air Force and I was wrongfully targeted by security and couldn’t even make it in the door. I was kicked out of the line because of what I was wearing and they didn’t even hear me out. This club is not military friendly. I definitely don’t recommend this club for anybody who is visiting London.
staff everywhere, people on the dance floor checking Instagram rather than moving. Some people should have rather gone to a pub than clubbing that night. At least no one was recording cause they sticker ur cam and the sets were decent
Most degraded club in London...absolutely a joke...I would choose meal deal from tesco instead.Boring AF! Whos disagree...its either way a junkey or a crack head 100% u can say I was a fool when I came here. Thanks 🖕🏼
Go to this club if you want to wait 2 hours in a queue to enter the premises because they overbooked the venue so you cannot walk one cm in the rooms without being lathered in other peoples sweat. Absolute jokeSome could compare these inhumane conditions to a factory of caged hens, it was boiling and humid in the club and we did not want to spend anymore of our time in such an awful club.Save your money and choose somewhere different because like all the other reviews you will regret it, they only want money and will try to capitalise as much as they can from events. The promotional event is a lie, there was no “ Loads of free sh*t!Free Popcorn or Free Sweets”All i have to say is stay away from these money grabbing thieves, poor organisation & awful experience overall
This is probably the worst club experience ive seen so far, i feel so bad for cleric and O/V/R, one of the worst crowds you could ever see and dance with, everyone is just dancing recklessly without awareness , smashing against other people and ruining their time without respecting the space between each person. Crowd Screaming “oh oh oh oh” like its a freaking tech house lineup. Freaking horrible experience. Everyone is dancing off-beat. The energy is so uncomfortable and just yikes. Surely will be my last experience here. I feel so bad for the djs yikes.
Massive disappointment. After 20+ years of wanting to get to this place, I couldnt be more underwhelmed. Tiny main room, 2 DJs the entire night, unfriendly staff, mediocre bar, absolutely nothing else in the area... I get that some people love this place, and have fought to keep it open, but the reality is that this is a rightfully forgotten relic of the London club scene.
Ive been to fabric on a friday night to see a DJ that I like. Unfortunately, they decided to keep the main dancefloor closed during the whole night, no explanations. The two other dancefloors were to small, so the place was packed, and people were really disrespectful, bumping on everyone. It was really unpleasant. I cant understand how a big club like this one closes its main dancefloor on a friday night. I wont be coming back.
Poor organisation. The queue is not worth it. Your are just being denied the entry for being too formally dressed, wearing airmax, or whenever the guards consider you are "too drunk". There are better places nearby in any direction you choose.
Personal experience- didnt enjoy the techno music here as beats were repetitive and beat drops were anti climatic. Nobody was vibing hard to the music. There were 2 rooms playing almost similar music, would be better to offer some variety. Honestly cloakroom music had better music vibes
lovely friendly staff, epic music had such a great night. even tho the line wrapped around half the block we only waited 30 mins
Went to see Joris Voorn 2 weeks back and had a great time, Khalid out front working security made sure we got in safely and on the way out checked on us to see if we had a good night! All the staff we spoke to were really friendly and helpful.Sound system was great, maybe worth taking earplugs though.++ points for the water stand (they also refill water bottles)Not for the faint hearted
Latest changes have ruined the place. We were missold drinks, asked for a manager. We spoke to an abrasive and disingenuous individual called Alicia who lied to us. It was really sad to see unfriendly staff at fabric. Not an improvement ...
Small dancefloors, security is a joke they will do everything to be annoying and ruin your time. If you feel unwell or abused by random crowd do not expect any help from people working there. One star for water bar and plenty of different spaces you can have a chat or sit and relax what is not that common in London clubs. Overall is full of students, tourists and new Londoners. Poor ventilation and lack of space on the dancefloor is preventing you from dancing as theres no space to dance. People just standing and pushing each other. Many people leave after few hours as fabric will give you really unpleasant experience.
The club itself is average at best, but they host some of the world’s best techno DJs. The security check is too thorough and intrusive... even more thorough than airport security, something that I’ll never understand about clubs in this city.
Luke, Sasha and Maisha provide the best service and communication I have ever received from a nightclub! The cloakroom staff deserve the highest level of recognition!
Worst club i’ve ever been . Security checks are just insane they were touching my intimate parts madly and also they asked everyone in the club to put a sticker on their cameras to not film which is inappropriate.I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS CLUB
⚠️ This place is for the Pros⚠️My friend took me to this legendary establishment for my birthday. As a visitor to London from North America and a veteran of the underground I was both excited and skeptical.Fabric is essentially a metaphor for a police state. You can have fun, but within the confines of the rules mandated by the authorities. The four star rating is highly influenced by the quality of the music and the novelty of the experience. Do NOT go there unless you are seriously committed. All in all this experience was a mixed bag of positives and negatives, here are my takeaways:- Reviews that warn you about queuing are NOT exaggerating! If you plan to enter Fabric you will queue, unless you are on the very limited guest list- Senior management are top notch: the managers that run the show, both outside and inside the venue are absolute pros. They are friendly, accommodating, and hospitable. They run a tight ship without a hitch.- Everything that you heard about security is legit: I have traveled the world, partied and clubbed in all sorts of counties, including autocratic ones. Let me just say, never have I ever been searched, frisked, and essentially shaken down like I was entering Fabric. If you are a connoisseur of illicit/designer drugs, you have to be a die hard pro to get in with them. Now, even if you do, security inside the venue makes it practically impossible to engage in such activities.- Phones cameras and vaping are banned, but in reality they are frowned upon. The staff vapes, so does everyone else. Taking pictures and videos is frowned upon, and the strictness varies from one room to the other.- The music is top notch. Nothing to say here except that I would give it ten stars.- The bar tenders are generally terrible, with the exception of one or two staffers.- Conclusion: it is absolutely worth the visit, even if just once.
I never wrote a negative review before but this was unfortunately and awful experience.Floor one was closed (without any announcementand floor 2 and 3 played the exact same kind of niche fast techno bounce at the same time. Why have multiple floors if you play the same type of extremely niche music - especially if it is something that does not resonate even with people who usually love edm/techno. Waited forever for a change of DJ which did not happen. The entire group was super let down. Wasted a lot of time and money and it ruined the night. Security is very thorough though, which I appreciate.
security to get in is worse than stanstead airport, however once inside it seems like every guy goes back to their primeval instincts (and security does nothing about this). Music was good but because of the line-up
Most boring nightclub ive ever been to paid £19 to get in didnt even last an hour, expensive beyond reason drinks, repetitive bland music. Choose somewhere else for your Friday or Saturday.
been there two times back in 2018 and on the 14th May 2022.positive: big location with different dancefloors ... never seen such a nice location before, good and loud electric music with an amazing atmosphere, the dancefloors are ventiladednegative: the prices, you pay 14£ for a vodka lemon barely alcohol innit, absolutely scam!! the price for the entry was 30£ but atleast they had good DJs
Went here a week ago with a friend. I was originally a bit worried about there being a dress-code, but as long as you are not wearing sportswear, youre fine.Drinks are on the expensive-side, but who really blames them? This is one of the best clubs in London. Three dance-halls with numerous different bars to order your drinks. Theres also a chill-lounge above with a view on one of the dance halls. Very, very impressed!
SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN!security grope everyone while searching them.there is absolutely no ventilation or air inside the club, it was disgustingly hot in there, we had to keep going outside to the smoking area just to feel like we could breathe- as did everyone else inside as there was big queues of people pushing through one tiny door just trying to get to outside.they massively oversold tickets for the event we attended, there was no room on any of the dance floors, even walking through the club there were queues of people and people barging past eachother- i can’t imagine what would happen in the event of a fire.the sound system is far too loud, it was vibrating throughout our whole bodies, and paired with the atmosphere made us feel quite ill.i have never felt like the conditions inside a club were dangerous before but i definitely felt it in fabric. as well as the lack of air inside, it felt like there could be a surge of people or people being crushed by the crowd at any moment.me and my friends will never be attending again and i advise people to avoid this place at all costs, i walked past many people who were all talking about how hot it was and the lack of air inside, the conditions in there honestly felt inhumane and insufferable
Security clearance takes a lot of time. Good techno music and amazing vibe.
Absolutely horrible awful place, my drink and my friends drink was spiked and then we were told repeatedly by security that we were lying, but we could not respond as we were so out of it. The staff were abusive and unkind, IMO the police should be involved with this club and ensuring that it is a safe place for people. It Is UNSAFE for people especially vulnerable people.
we waited in line for two hours to see an artist performing there, and after an hour and a half of waiting my friend was taken and assaulted by security for “sneaking in” (we all queued for an hour atleast). when we started recording him being punched and dragged round a corner to be beaten up, they started snatching phones and deleting recordings and pushing the others that were recording them. we have footage of them giving him a burst lip and beating him up for no reason, avoid this club at all costs.
Refused entry because I went quickly to the toilet around the road before entry. They embarrassed and humiliated me in front of my whole friendship group. Speaking to the females in my group who got in the security manhandled them and put fingers down their bras to search. Disgusted by the behaviours of bouncers. This club used to be amazing but it is not the same anymore. Do not even bother if you want a nice night out!
Top quality sound. Great lineups. Late opening (6am+). Drinks pricey but remember where you are. Staff all decent including security. Keep your phone in your pocket and dance. 3 rooms. Easy to get to and home again, farringdon tube just around the corner.
Great lineup. Abundance of staff members taking care of everyone Dedicated water bar so easy to stay hydrated. The club is big but the dance rooms were often uncomfortably packed. The layout is a little confusing but manageable. The cloakroom staff dont let you collect your belongings if with a photo of the cloakroom ticket so gotta make sure you dont loose it. Other places not only allow this but also encourage it since its super easy to loose it. Overall the experience was good but some things could definitely be improved.
Good techno music in this well known club, but the experience could be improved. The club is quite big but the dancing floor is small and always too crowded. The drinks are well overpriced. Also, the queue could be ridiculously long (30min-1heven if you have tickets, and the security guards are there to make sure the queue is as unpleasant as possible... They do have a great line ups sometimes that are worth attending despite the average experience
The club is very big and also very well organized. The controls are enforced harder than at the airport but this, as the history of the club proves, has an unpleasant reason. The music system on mainfloor was great with, yes, absolutely noticeable basses. The drink prices are okay, a bit too expensive, but overall okay. Many of the people who were there are obviously not fans of electronic music. To get to know new people and to find lovely girls also the right place. The entrance fee of 25 pounds was maybe a bit much but it was a great night.
Loud, really cool that its in am old brick warehouse... and the sound stays contained. The Fri we went was a little too heavy drum and bass for our liking but cool venue serious screening checks, recommend tickets ahead ...
