Totally waste of time and money. Its more expensive than inarguably better, more interesting and much more comprehensive museums such as the State Russian Museum, Russian Ethnographic Museum or State Hermitage Museum. The price of the ticket for just small museum with only a few exhibition halls is 500 rub and you have to pay an additional 500 rub for audio guide. We didnt buy the audio guide thinking that at least there must be some small descriptions of the works but there wasnt any explanation. Let alone the descriptions, there was even no name near to the artifacts. Instead of wasting your time and money here, go visit State Hermitage Museum. If you did already, visit again, its impossible to finish it at one time anyway. Money trap.

A breathtaking collection of Fabergé! The Museum demonstrates just how broad of work the House has created. Not only are you able to be so very close to some of thee most prized and historic pieces e.g. THE EGGS, beautifully preserved and displayed, these pieces are history, and a must see for any jewellery lover! Throughout you are given an immersive experience and in for such a surprise in each room!

Been there twice, loved each of them. Unfortunately, now the time of a visit is limited to one hour. I personally do not think this is enough to admire the exhibits in details. There is an audio guide app, so a budget traveller does not have to pay extra for a guide. Guided tours are very informative though.

Nice museum with all the luxury items of the imperial and wealthy families of Russia, and of course the famous Faberge eggs! The ticket costs 500 rubbles.

A fabulous building with intricate rooms is overshadowed only by the objects of art themselves. The Fabergé eggs are truly magnificent, and the other objects, including the pictures of Ayvasovsky, are worth a look as well. The only downside is the fact that there are almost no descriptions at all, only if you download the PDF on phone. It makes things so much slower and clunkier.

Very compact and easily accessible museum! The museum is full of beautiful artwork. One thing I didn’t like was the fact that they have no descriptions for any of the eggs and related stuff. Come before 1 to avoid long queues.

Took us by surprise as I would now consider it the best museum in the city. Stunning architecture and the artwork was superior to that found in the bigger museums in the city. Would go to the top of my list for visitors to St P.

Not to be missed out in your St Petersburg tripFirst I thought it’s just a small museum with a few easter eggs, until I realised there are thousands of collections of paintings, silver and gold wares etc to be checked out.Closing at 21:00 means plenty of time to visit elsewhere first during day time before coming here

A gem of a museum (no pun intendedin St. Petersburg and a "must visit" for anyone who appreciates fine craftsmanship. The level of detail is absolutely mesmerising and it is refreshing to witness that so many pieces have survived conflicts, wars and natural disasters over the centuries. Not only are the exhibited pieces worth admiration, but so is the interior design of each exhibition room.

And about 20 masterpiece of art who are extremly well-lighted. There is also one comfy-cosy caffe. With ICOM card is free entrance. 👏👏👏

We bought the Faberge egg in February Museum in Saint Petersburg for 15 thousand rubles. We came there. Wanted to change for the new one because this one is brokenhearted. They said that they dont change for the new one because its passed 2 weeks. Its very sad to see that they dont have quality in that they sell and guarantee of the product that cost of lot of money. So be careful when you buy Faberge egg in this Museum shop !

If the history of Faberge interests you, then this is a must. The facility is beautiful, very well organised and well run.The exhibits are beautiful and there is plenty of history to take in.They offer one of the best cruises around as well (and one that leaves on time irrespective of the number of people onboard).

While technically this is a small museum with only 5 or so rooms (as opposed to the Hermitage with has thousands of rooms), it has a a lot of fascinating content including of course the Faberge eggs. However, only one room is dedicated to the eggs and I would highly recommend watching the Faberge documentary on Netflix before going to fully appreciate Faberge. The museum also has many antiques as well as famous paintings.

Very interesting museum with a wider range of exhibited objects than previously thought. The main sight is of course the Faberge eggs, but there are loads of other beautiful objects to be seen. Most importantly, a whole booklet of information was available for each exhibition, and the booklet was in English. Quite unique museum, I recommend a visit!

Small and quaint is nice! There were only 5 rooms to see the history of the Farberge items. Loved all of the items in the museum. Not like the Hermitage which ran on for miles and miles and miles and was so overwhelmed. This museum was just right!

It was a unique experience offering great insight into the mystique that surrounds the manufacture of these unique masterpieces of elegance and engineering, for the Russian aristocracy.. A must for those who know and would like to know more about them. The museum itself is very beautiful, easy to go through, and offers a nice shop and an excellent cafe/bistrot.

The museum is known for its Faberge eggs; however, it has other beautiful items from the same period. They do offer a student discount to Russian students only. The coat check area also has free lockers for backpacks, and the rooms require plastic shoe covers be put on to protect the floor. The Musume offers a guided book that identifies the items on excabite. The cafe downstairs is very welcoming, and the tv shows how the Faberge egg opens

Private museum in a beautifully restored palace a few minutes walk from the Nevskiy Prospekt. They have 9 Faberge eggs in their exhibition, apparently the second largest collection in Russia. All of the exhibits were beautifully presented and lit. The eggs are the draw, but my favourite things were the boxes, especially some of the cigarette boxes - stunning. There’s also a great cafe here with some impressive cakes - I had a slice of chocolate cake that should have come with a health warning! Wonderful!

The very first private museum in St. Peyrsburg, open only recently. Famous and just great collection of Faberge Royal Eggs as well as many other objects worth to see. Museum is very close to Nevskij Prospekt and Anichin bridge. Open usually till 9 p.m., so you can relax and enjoy its exhibitions late evenning, thus avoiding crowds of turists. Well-managed, audio guides as well as very detailed booklets of each single masterpiece in several languages are available. Just the must, once in St. Petrsburg.

Having the chance to see on display a high concentration of their famed Faberge eggs when u hardly get to see them outside of Russia.. makes this a very very special museum worth a visit. The rest of the other rooms are average so a quick 1 hr max stop is a great thing before u hop off to the canal cruise with a pier right outside the museum.

Really cool museum, with Faberge eggs and other whimsical creations. If youre interested in them, its unmissable because the collection is rich, the palace is beautiful and the information is well presented. The audioguide is really worth it - its necessary to leave a 1000 rubles deposit, so be prepared.

Museum was not big. Historical building fine faberge things and some paintings. I was a bit piste off with staff. I was purchasing 3 adult and one kid tickets. And they didn’t sold me child ticket until I drought kid from changing room for them to see that I am not cheating. The difference in price was not much and they check tickets on the entry anyway.
