No. 131號, Section 3, Nanjing East Road, Zhongshan District, Taipei City, Taiwan 104, Taipei
In the downtown area and a 5-minute walk from a metro station, this polished hotel is 2 km from Huashan 1914 Creative Park and 5 km from the landmark Taipei 101 skyscraper.Featuring stylish furnishings, wood floors and plush accents, the sophisticated rooms offer free Wi-Fi, flat-screens and minifridges, as well as iPod docks, tea and coffeemakers, and spa-style showers; some have glassed-in bathrooms. Suites add separate living rooms; some have whirlpool tubs and/or DVD players. There's a trendy bar/lounge and outdoor event space. Breakfast is offered for a fee.
Great hotel! Cleaning services and reception is set at a very high standard. Would recommend if you’re looking for a place to stay in Taipei. There is also a 7-11 nearby.
Great hotel! Spacious rooms and friendly check ins and out. Convenient location
Very convenient for accessing everything in Taipei. Great location and extremely affordable price. Free self service laundry is a bonus.
Decent hotel providing all basic amenities. It’s a bargain if you can get a good rate from travel websites, ie agoda, etc. Location is fairly convenient, close to MRT stop with two different lines. The staff and chambermaids are not very personable or welcoming. Hotel has a strange overly religious (Christiantheme I found off putting.
Due to COVID19, my flight was cancelled and my family and I wasn’t able to go for the trip. In addition, Taiwan also impose a new rule where they ban entry for foreigners to control virus, days before my trip. Asked for a refund from the hotel but was rejected three times with the reason of me booking under the non cancellation policy. Yes I understand the policy but at times like this, another hotel I book at Taizhong was understanding to do the refund but I am not sure why FX can’t and go strictly by the policy. A hotel who doesn’t place customers’ interest isn’t worth staying anymore no matter how great my first stay there was. It’s not as though I purposely wanted to cancel my trip.
The Hotel was quite nice! The only thing why I only give four stars it the reason that no towels were included! That should be included in every hotel always!
Room size big enough and service not bad. Just that dryer need to improve as the clothes are still wet despite drying the clothes twice
This is a nice boutique hotel near Nanjing E Road. Very near the Nanjing Fuxing MRT and this convenient for tourist to get around in Taipei. Rooms are clean and reasonable size. Liaoning Street is also close by and you can go along the street to have quick meals.
Stayed here for 10 days from 3-13 Dec 2019. Staff were attentive and displayed the usual Taiwanese hospitality. Rooms were big and always tidied cleanly. Excellent location if you like a quiet area away from the bustle of Ximending yet within a stones throw of a few MRT stops. Quite accessible from the airport too.
Very convenient location, 5 min walk to nearest MRT station. Breakfast facility available. Our room was good size with city view. Basic set up, not flashy but comfortable.
email them before the trip to plan a surprise birthday wish for my wife, indeed they did itthumbs up!!! you made her day and the room was awesome!!
Cozy. Interesting room concept with a glass-walled toilet, covered only by a curtain from the outside. Good for couples who want to spice things up.Shares the same building with another big company so it doesnt have the usual hotel amenities. It only occupies a third of the building( as of time of writing).
One of my favourite hotels in Taipei. Very modern and well decorated and maintained. Generally for the older crowd and probably not the most family friendly. Interior design is unconventional and definitely not your usual colour palate. great location which is quiet at night, which I find to be a great benefit.
Very bad. I ask the front desk to arrange a taxi for me to go to the airport. I ask him several times to make sure it was the right airport because I was aware there was more than one airport and what happen? The taxi driver drove me to the wrong airport. Now Im in another cab rushing to the other airport which is 1hr away.
Great location, walking distance to a MRT stations. The staffs were extremely helpful and pleasant to deal with. The hotel lobby is located on the 15th floor. The room wifi is a bit slow on the 11th floor but that doesnt really matter. Free laundry with detergent provided on the 15th floor
Great hotel in Taipei. Check in was easy. The rooms were decorated well - but the bed was extremely hard. That may be the norm here or I am just used to a really soft bed. The hotel is close to a few night markets and right next to the train station
The room is quite spacious and it has full glass view of the the Taipei city. The bed and the pillows are very comfortable. Also the room and the toilet are clean. At price of NTD2,170 a night is reasonable.
How do you operate business when theres a huge banner that says "owe money pay money" in your lobby? Arrived midnight with weird Buddhist song playing in the lobby.. that is not a scene u wanna see everyday. Overall the stay is OK. Apart from that huge banner and quirky music playing so loudly at midnight
first of all, the room had the wrong bed type (2 double beds instead of a queen), then they switched us to another floor and it looked like a queen but it was just 2 beds pushed together.. place looks dirty like a cheap hotel and looks like a night club rather than a hotel.
Great bed (best Ive slept in in a year, easilyand nice room overall. It feels a little tacky and almost like a motel, but for the price this is great value. If youre a fan of non-traditional hotels with a bit of attitude and youre on a budget, check this one out.
Pretty weird 80s design, but kinda charming. Room quite big , but overall the hotel feels pretty blend with a modestly welcoming staff
Good location and spacious room. The hotel is near the station and lots of places to eat nearby. This is a 4 star hotel but I did not get the 4 star service. It seems that the people at the reception did not get enough training except for Cheng who knows how to accommodate their guest. Overall, I would rate the hotel a 4 star as the physical appearance and comfortable room but when it comes to service I would rate a 2 star.
Great design hôtel near 2 mrt stations. 5min away from Songshan Airport by mrt. Room are big, clean and at European standards. Not too expensive. 3rd time here and will go back there for sure.
FX is located just beside the Westin. We booked the hotel for a night. Our room did not come with breakfast but this was a small matter as there were a number of coffee/ pastry shops around the vicinity and more local breakfast/ food can be found by just walking nearby lanes. FX is close to the Nanjing Fuxing MRT and walking distance to many shopping places. Staff were polite and nice. Do note that some rooms do not come with a window and rooms may not be wheelchair friendly.
Divided into a bank and a hotel, elevators do not all go to the rooms, and restaurant under renovation so had to go outside for breakfast. The rooms were nice and the breakfast substitute was pretty decent.
Three minutes from LRT. Room has no windows but still comfortable. No washing machines room. Exercise room has good running machine, newspapers, nice coffee, tv and resting sofas. Reception fast.
First impressions: The staff working at the front desk was sorely lacking in any hospitality training. The staff lady checking myself in did not make me feel welcome at all (this actually hampered the joy of being on vacationand made me very worried of choosing this hotel as my previous hotel was Amba (which I recommend highlyexceeded my every expectation. None of front desk staff had a smile on their face, everyone was serious and looking like they were forced to be there. The way I was spoken too made me feel stupid (not a native mandarin speakeras she had no reaction other than a stern and stoic tone.I typically dont expect anything from an elevator ride, but the elevator was another indicator my hotel choice was likely a mistake...the elevator had pink pen/highlighter markings (no one cared to clean this off)....elevator was dirty in corners where it looks like dust has been collecting for months...if not years....the TV on the ceiling of the elevator was not working which again shows the lack of detail to care of this place.Stepping out of the elevator the decor was interesting as everything was black...it was as if I stepped out of a tacky club (however this is just a personal preference as some might actually like this). The part that set off alarm bells again stepping out of the elevator was the how worn the carpet was, the carpet was crumpled due to age and pulling from the base which almost caused a trip hazard for me. Again the hallways and decor is dark so it is really hard to see when stepping out. Walking to the room the carpet needed some vacuuming, walls were scraped and dinged from age...the corners where the carpet meets the wall there was a lot of dust collecting (this doesnt help that the carpet is black which shows even more).Entering the room everything looked in place at a glance, generally speaking the bathroom was clean (however with my experience thus far this made me feel like this place was not clean at all and made me wary). Room size was fine as I knew this purchasing the room. Again, similar to the entire experience I had with the hotel this far from walking up, the room looked like it was just old (wallpaper dinged up, fixtures are on the worn side..)and like another reviewer mentioned this place is long past its glory and needs some TLC from management.Another reviewer mentioned issues with the hot water, so I first gave the hot water a try and although the first time it took a minute or 2 to get the water warm, I did not have any issues with the hot water during my stay. The bed was comfortable which was the only saving grace, however the sheets were old (please see pictures as you can see there are holes in the sheets from agebut MOST IMPORTANTLY THERE WAS DRIED BLOOD ON MY PILLOW (see pictures). I just decided to not use the pillow, but I didnt let the hotel know since at this point I was sorely sorely disappointed at how this hotel is managed and was still not happy with the service at the front desk....so I didnt even want to bother with them as I felt I would be further disappointed.I typically dont get the room cleaned during any hotel stays to conserve...but when the cleaning lady saw me she was very very nice and asked if I needed anything. She was the only person that really showed she cared during my stay and looks like she was working hard for the hotel...if only this mentality was in their other employees and culture. Conclusion: If this was a 3 Star hotel then maybe I wouldnt have had such an opinion, but the fact that I was on vacation and purposely chose hotels which are supposed to be 4 star hotel made me truly unhappy. The FX HOTEL SHOULD NOT BE listed as a 4 star hotel, PERIOD. At one point in my stay I was about to take the hit on losing out on my prepaid stay and move over to the Westin next door, I would have if I was going to be in Taiwan longer.
Front desk staff is not welcoming. They looked like they did not want to be at work. This hotel has definitely lost its glory. You can tell it has been cutting corners on maintenance. The towels had holes and crust on it. The lobby smelled like sewage or fish. Not sure if it was due toi the rain or something else but I was here for 4 nights and it smelled for 3. This hotel is not worth the convenience of the two MRTs. If youre not from Asia, I would stay at a different hotel. This "4-star" hotel is more like 3. There are so many hotel options that if I could do it over again, Id go elsewhere. Dont trust the 5 stars local guides have given.
Pretty nice hotel, good location, but there are only 2 available lifts. Took some time waiting to go up and down to your room. Every time. And rooms are on 10th floor up.
Well located. Decent hotel. Hotel staff polite. But not v well maintain n toilet is designed a little tight for the toilet bowl
Hotel looked like it was brand new. Elevators are a little confusing but the location was solid - very close to train stations. The rooms were bigger than expected and very well kept.
Room forces you to shut off the power if you dont have a second card. AC is pretty weak and doesnt actually cool the room which is not great as a foreign guest not use to 200% humidity outside. Breakfast was meh. Rooms looked nice. Everything felt clean and the staff seemed friendly.
A great value for money hotel. Nice clean room with all the modern amenities, altho the corridor looks like your in a night club lol. Located centrally to most tourist spots. And MRT station only around the corner.
Totally not satisfied! No hot water; or not consistent hot water. Air conditioning blows warm air (its summer!). We asked reception a few times to check the air conditioning but they said they cant do anything so they only provided a fan for us! Not very clean as could see moulds in bathroom.
A cosy modern boutique hotel, with convenient location to MRT station, and beside a 5 star hotel (Westin), but without the high room rates. Room is clean and decent sized, with affordable room price. Good choice in this area.
Good place but with certain things they maintain in front of you. The key card and door tend to fail and they have to reboot it for you to enter the room. But being near the subway station and taxi is always waiting at the lobby means its good for mobility.
Love the spacious room, though the floor seems quite sticky when you exit the shower, as in walk around with wet feet. Some staff seem unfriendly but I hope they were just having a bad day.
Close to the MRT lies this comfortable hotel. When entering the lobby it feels like beeing part of a fashion show. Beds are just right (neither too hard nor too soft). Recommended for a long weekend in the city.
I stayed in this hotel last Oct. I am truly amazed not only because of the facility but the customer services. I left my tab in the room and did not realize until I got on the plane to Canada. I emailed the hotel with very dim hope given it was already two days after. Surprisingly they found it and offered to ship it to me. It happened my friend would be in Taipei a month later so I ask them to keep it there until he is there. Without any hesitation, the hotel was willing to secure it until pick up. What a service!
Nice hotel in a good locationStaff were very abrupt when checking into the hotel and not very helpful regarding breakfast etc.Rooms were very clean and tidy with all mod cons.Price is good for the location.
It was a pretty hotel but not taken care of, the cleaning crew is slacking. For a high quality hotel it should be way cleaner. Staff is not so nice and dont really speak English. Over all it was one of the best hotels in the area so I still recommend it. Try Expedia to get a good deal!
I enjoyed my trendy double on the 12 floor. Great view, awesome shower and slightly softer bed than the normal hard Asia mattress.Free SLOW internet. I would have paid for faster internet, as theirs was awful at any time. 3down/5up.
Location may not be the closet but easily accesible from Airport- A22. Then a few min walk. Hotel is very modern and well equipped. Very nice room and great view.My room was at 31st floor with spacious living room, 1 bedroom and balcony with view. Bathroom was a plus with rainfall shower heads and a separate deep soaking tub. Minibar was all included during my stay~Staff is also friendly and helpful~MTR is also walking distance~Great overall stay, would comeback for a longer stay!
I would have given a score of 5 if the breakfast spread is wider. Location is convenient and the room is big as I stayed in a triple bedded room. We will definitely stay in FX hotel again for our next trip to Taipei. Thank you.
Hotel in good location near metro. Room is spacious and bed is comfortable. Bathroom is clean and water pressure is good. Overall experience is good!
Should have early check in if rooms are already made up for elderly folks.I had arrival at 11.40am and was told that I could in only after 3.00pm.I have no problem with Accor Hotel hotel around the world.Overall was excellent , but this might turn your guest off in future.
Great hotel. Stayed in premium room, good space and very clean. Service was awesome and business centre is also A+ you get to use meeting room for 1 hr free. There is also game room with Xbox .
Absolutely horrible experience;- unprofessional check-in process, scant English speaking- new, modern rooms, good layout and facilities. But certainly budget class, not five star- corny loud music at the entrance, and just looks amateur next to The Westin- rooms smell very smokey, sure they had previously been smoking rooms- felt smoking in the room, from another room. The hotels answer was to put an air cleaner in, theyve clearly tried it before- rooms were way too humid - I could feel the humidity in the blankets going to bed at night. Straight up unhealthy and it obviously results in smelly clothes- office chair unable to fix, so leaning backwards- internet good, though- miniature gym, only bike and treadmill
The rooms are very unique and professional looking. Though theres only 4 floors that the hotel occupied, the rooms were designed to look spacious. Fashion TVs are shown in the lift and also at lobby. All in all, a business hotel that can match the Westin hotel just next door!
Staff is extremely polite, friendly, and responsive to customer issues, but the service quality itself in terms of function and system in place were disappointing. For example, we can order ice to our room, but there are only coffee mugs available, even though theres a restaurant and lounge downstairs. They say there is Wi-Fi throughout the hotel, but it really only works well on lower floors. I was on the 10th floor, and was continuously disconnected until the staff were kind enough to bring a LAN booster device to our room.We left our room about 9:40 AM and returned around 2 hours later, only to find the our room hadnt been made up yet. When we left the housekeepers were down the hall just a bit, but theyd only progressed about 4-5 rooms in that 2 hour period. We were out of some toiletry items on our 3rd day here that hadnt been replaced. Fortunately we went out for the rest of the day, and things were sorted once we returned. The location is good, close to trains and one small night market. The breakfast buffet is adequate for a morning stomach filler, but the coffee is a bit rough, and the other customers are fiercely competitive, which appears to be par for the course in buffet situations in Taiwan, so you gotta be sure to get in there and fight for your spot.Overall the FX was a decent and affordable place to stay, and I really appreciated the patience and kindness of the staff, for example helping me set up a public Wi-Fi account, but Im not sure Ill be a repeat customer.
