FUSIAN in Upper Arlington

I am a regular customer at this location and love FUSIAN usually however I went in today and the girl behind the counter, who I am assuming must be new, completely messed up the sushi I got, it fell apart and I asked her if she could make it again. She said she will just “smush it in” and put the remains in the to go box. The whole thing fell apart while I was eating. It’s 100% okay to make mistakes but the least you could do is offer to make it again. 2 stars because the guy standing offered extra chicken gyoza and I really do appreciate that.

We went here years ago before they had poke tuna bowls. Now we love this place even more ❤️

Honestly the staff is terrible. I went to try it for the first (10/25/2022 High street in Clintonville locationtime and mentioned that I had never been there. The staff didnt ask what I liked, if I wanted anything and generally just ignored me. So I let my friend buy food from them and I didnt order anything. They seem rude, on their phones while working and generally just have disgusting customer service. Im not sure if it was the day I went that the staff seemed off but I will not return or tell any of my friends and family to eat here. Hope this store hires better people. Also they need to check on their employees with camera. Terrible place!

I’m not a huge Sushi person but the bowl I had was fantastic! Brown Rice and soy chicken and I asked for some of the shrimp rolls by themselves. Great lunch.The 3 stars were for the rough customer service by one of the employees. He mumbled terribly and acted as though I was wasting his time. As I do not eat Sushi or have never eaten here before, I was trying to listen (again, mumbling from the associateas to what certain things were. Not a friendly experience from this certain guy but the Manager and the other associate were great and friendly.

This is 1000% the best Fusian in town. All the staff are lovely, and the food is always excellent. They are quick and friendly. Bathrooms are super clean. The manager there is also wonderful, he’s extremely nice and helpful and clearly cares a lot about the business and his customers. Never had a negative experience here. Oh, also, special mention of the cashier at this location - immaculate vibes 👌🏻

I love this place! I never tried sushi until my daughter took me here. I pick my favorites and I know that there is nothing in my sushi that I dont like.

Delicious! I am not able to eat seafood so its nice to be able still enjoy food from here. I ordered two custom rolls. One with roasted chicken, cream cheese, and veggies and another with veggies and cream cheese. They are delicious and Ill definitely be getting food from here again!

I recommend ordering in person to get all the extras you want. Very tasty, very fresh ingredients and the bowl has a generous amount of food, for a few extra bucks its a better deal than the sushi rolls. Staff is always nice and helpful.

Great place with great staff. Its the Sushi version of Chipotle

Basically a sushi version of subway. Good quality and very fresh ingredients. The drinks were super fresh to and not too sweet like some blended teas can be. Nice seating both inside and outside. It was perfect for someone like me who shies away from sushi because I am not a fan of mayonnaise based sauces and would prefer no sauce on mine. And I could create my own roll so I got to pick and choose what I liked. It was very clean and everything looked so fresh.

Everything fresh an 😋 an the services was great she was very helpful an didnt mind to help us out first timers well be going back just remember 4 shrimps tempura to a bowl .lol

Added five stars only because of the nice cashier. Told them I was gluten free and they gave me a loaf of bread. There aren’t even loaves on the menu? It’s a sushi restaurant- why would you serve bread? Must have something against the gluten free community. Totally unacceptable. I attached a picture so everybody can see how awful this place is. Pale, round-faced, brown-haired cashier was good though!

Great combination of quality delicious food and convenient friendly atmosphere. The manager made great suggestions on what I should order and made my food right in front of me. M-Dawg then cashed me out and almost immediately my food was ready. It was amazing as advertised. Beverage options are also top notch, my favorite is the Mango Mint Lemonade. I will definitely be back. NOTE: They actually do stay open until 10:05pm, even on Sundays!

Does a great job of being versatile and having decent fast sushi and sushi related items. I had shrimp tempura and gyoza side. Two different dipping sauces with help from staff member. Son loves te dumplings. I was pleased with the shrimpWith price the way they are I found it reasonable. Do not pass on one of their teas or lemonades. Some very unique and delicious options.All through the oandemic they have bee there and helping with easy options and they have really grown. Happy to see them doing well with their new Italian addition. Just wish I could get it as fast as the Asian side . ... wonder if I could order ahead ten minutes with the app and get a sandwhich...

Love Fusian but I dont understand why employees stopped being expected to include ginger and wasabi with the sushi. The half a dozen last times Ive gone to Fusian, they didnt include it. The last two times Ive gone, Ive explicitly asked the employees for wasabi and ginger. Still not included, frustrating especially given that it wasnt like they were busy or anything. The last time I went, despite explicitly asking for EXTRA wasabi and ginger just to make sure it was included, the employee said sure and yet still, low and behold, no wasabi and ginger.Are you all out of it or something? Or despite having 5-7 employees in the building at a time do none of them manage to have a large enough attention span to include wasabi and ginger when asked? This is basic sushi stuff and I cant convince my household to even want to go to this Fusian location anymore.

I ordered through Uber Eats on this branch. And let me tell you, I am a Mexican (born and raised for 25 years in the same townin a little town where sushi is heavily famous among whole Mexico (google: sushi sinaloense or sinaloa styleso I am quite used to THAT type of sushi, and mind you, I don’t like seafood.So, my husband was craving some sushi (the one that we know, obviouslyand looking through UE I found this place where sushi looks not that much of the original one and leaning a lil’bit on the Sinaloa style. Chicken spring roll? Delicious!! And the fact that you can custom your own sushi it’s a plus. I don’t think this to be a place on the expensive side but nor on the cheap side. Just, don’t be cheap!One bad thing? They give you soy sauce in packets, but we made our own (Sinaloa style, of course): half korean soy sauce and half water, chopped serrano and 5-7 limes (this depends on you), you can also add chives and sesame seeds.I’ll eat from this place again no doubt.

Best sushi restaurant in town, they have tons of customizations available and reasonable pricing. They also have a lot of vegan/vegetarian options and service is excellent.

Absolutely horrible!! The employees were so rude and the tall one was weird. Food was messy and DRENCHED IN SAUCE. The fish tasted off and they were so cheap with how many topping were given. NEVER AGAIN

Overpriced, very lackluster food. Got the lobster bowl and got just a bunch of sticky rice, Lima beans and raw onions and carrots. The lobster was decent but the rest of it was so underwhelming and seemed so cheap.

Just ordered a cucumber avocado roll and it was the worst roll I’ve ever had in my life. The rice was stale and old and so were the veggies. Also had a miso soup and it was 5 dollars for a tiny cup of overly salted soup. Really disappointed I wasted money on this.

I love being able to put whatever I want in my sushi or bowl. Ingredients are fresh and there are plenty of choices of raw or cooked meats and different veggies. They offer several sauces to go on top from spicy mayo, sriracha, sweet chili and more. Really love the lavender lemonade too.

This is one of my favorite places in Columbus. The food is always fresh, and if you have an issue, the staff will fix it immediately. If you get home and still have an issue (or get delivery), the Fusian support available online is quick to refund your order in its entirety and provide additional compensation or benefits to ordering again. Great customer service and awesome food.

Everything looked fresh, but the staff member drowned my poke in sesame oil. It’s rendered literally inedible. Made even more upsetting by the fact that I asked the person to drizzle a small amount of it. You can see in the photo the rice is drenched and there’s a sheen to everything. Sad to see my $17 go in the trash.

I’ve gotten orders for pickup here a few times, and the sushi and salads are always delicious and fresh. This location was even kind enough to place one of my orders in the fridge in one instance since I was running late. Staff is friendly. All-around reliable, healthy, delicious fast-casual.

The food is fresh and delicious and consistently good. The staff is always professional helpful and friendly. It is one of our most frequent choices for carry out. It’s been particularly great during the pandemic.

Though it was not busy today when i went in to get food, it took me over 10 minutes to get through the line due to the fact that the girl didnt know how to cut and serve the avocado, i watched painfully as he wasted 2-3 whole avocados because she couldnt cut them properly. She also was unable to efficiently roll my 2 rolls, wasting ingredients and making it so that it fell apart when i tried to eat it. Everything seemed very unorganized and there was no apology or acknowledgement of how inconvenient this was. Other locations are great, this one, was a hot mess

Just had our first visit and well definitely be back. The sushi was good, but the bowls are where its at. I ordered online and our order was almost ready when I got there.

I really enjoyed it. Im not a sushi guy, but it was easy to find something that sounded appealing. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because the wrapping and plating was a bit sloppy. Probably an employee was still learning--that stuff cant be easy. Regardless: dont expect perfection, but it was tasty, reasonably priced, and friendly.

Amazing place. So many choices to make your own sushi and they make it look so ready like I should be doing it at home myself. Love the strawberry sticky rice dessert and with the speed of this place youre in and out before you know it. Everyone is so friendly and helpful its made this a go to place for me especially for sushi, because the prices are amazing as well.

It was my first time going in there but Ive heard nothing but good things about the place. Plus I havent had sushi in like 3 yrs and it was a different type of comfort food I enjoyed very much. The employees were very nice and helpful for recommendations. Will definitely visit again.

You can’t be serious? All the good reviews? It’s fast food sushi with staff personality to match. But when you try and operate a multi chain establishment and quality takes a backseat to quantity you get poorly paid workers who don’t care at all about furthering the company’s interest, serves you right, right? Serves you wrong though and that’s the point. The curry bowl was overwhelmed with long cuts of veggies so from a functional standpoint it’s awful, this is barely thoughtful, it’s a collab without a dime of thought or presentation, the soy beans overpowered the flavors, the broth was oily, the strawberry sticky rice: salty and not a pleasant contrast to the bland of rice and cooled overly hard semi sweet chocolate chips and un-ripe strawberries with all over no agave to speak of. The sushi? Boy, falling apart very loose, the crab overpowered the entire roll, proportion and portion, all wrong. Won’t change my mind...It doesn’t work and it’s not good... Typically I am light handed with bad reviews but I’ve eaten here twice in a year. Second time I thought maybe why not, I was as little impressed the second time as the first. I think the average suburbanite is so eager to eat something culturally diverse they’ll stuff poor quality sushi in their mouth just to be seen. No thanks.

Nice mix of proteins, and decent price for size of the roll. Would not recommend the prepackaged salads as they were bland and not really a mix of salad. Rice bowl were awesome and had some good mix of tastes.

The sushi is delicious, but since theyve opened the staff has become much worse at rolling the sushi, so sometimes my rolls just fall apart these days. It seems like they skimp on the ingredients a lot more than they used to as well. Like any restaurant though as time goes by the training and attention to detail usually drops off.

Great food! My wife got the tuna sushi roll and I got the chicken+rice bowl. Delicious! I also love that they use compostable eating utensils and cups.

Mediocre. Nice place to go to have simple cali-roll-type sushi made fresh and quick, but inconsistent. Some good days, some bad. Dont go an hour before they close; orders are usually rushed and not made to quality.Follow-up: Had their miso soup as well; must have been given the dregs because it was the saltiest 1/2 cup of miso I had ever had. Disappointed.

This place is amazing! The staff was super friendly and sweet! They even offered me and my partner complimentary soup! It was so good we even came back that same day.. (don’t judge lolsushi was the bomb 💣 and the staff hook ya girl up with the ginger!! Girls gotta have her Ginger!!

The concept of fast-casual sushi just doesnt seem very appealing to me. The ingredients are very fresh, and they have a wide range to choose from for customizing traditional or atypical sushi rolls. They also have a menu of set rolls/bowls to choose from. I can appreciate the health-conscious aspect of this place, and I love how you can calculate the macros of your sushi rolls on their website. Overall, I cant imagine a roll tasting better than just okay. If youve every enjoyed some high-quality sushi, this just wont satisfy; I know it isnt their intention to be traditional sushi, but I cant get behind the idea. I wouldnt deter anybody from trying Fusian though.

If you’re a sushi purist, this place may not be the best choice for you. However if you’re like me and enjoy Americanized sushi, you have to give this place a try. It’s the “Chipotle of sushi” in a way, and I love everything about it. They have pre-designed selections you can pick if you want, or you can go down the line picking which protein(s), veggies, sauces, and toppings you want on your bowl or roll. This means you can go as simple or as crazy as you want, and as traditional or unconventional as you’d like.The prices end up being a bit higher than your average counter-serve restaurant, but it’s absolutely worth it for the quality of the food and the portion size. I also highly recommend shelling out the $2.50 for a fountain drink. It killed me a little at first, but their fresh and unique drinks are amazing. Combine that with the friendly service, dedication to the environment (almost everything they use is compostableand wide variety of ingredients to add to your meal, I don’t know how anyone could not like this place. Definitely give Fusian a try if you haven’t yet!Just to give you an idea, here are *some* of the options they have (don’t yell at me if/when they change):- Bowl with white or brown rice, with or without kale; roll with white or brown rice and soy paper or seaweed- Proteins: Raw tuna, raw salmon, smoked salmon, shrimp tempura, chicken, tofu- Veggies: carrots, beets, asparagus, jalapeños, pineapple (awesome on a bowl!)- Toppings: sesame seeds, almonds, tempura crunch, scallions, and as always ginger and wasabi available on the side- Drinks: agave, strawberry, or lavender lemonade, agave gingerade, subtly sweet black tea, unsweet green tea

A good place for quick basic rolls of sushi, they have cooked and uncooked proteins, brown rice or white rice rolls and assorted sauces. Think Chipotle Style sushi. They have sustainable resources, the Plastics are all compostable and fresa, no soda pop

This place is Awesome! You can build your own sushi creation. The food taste great! The servers were friendly & helpful! I wish there were more locations everywhere!

Sushi was poorly wrapped and the proportion of ingredients in the roll were way off. Also, their seasonable vegetable is a cranberry raisin. Not the most appealing item in a sushi roll.
