Continental restaurant known for farm-to-table fare, creative drinks & weekend brunch.
Went with family on a Sunday afternoon. Very impressed with the menu. Something there for any one. From Breakfast to dinner. We all had something different and came away full and happy. Prices were very reasonable. All in all a great place to eat. Highly recommended.
Amazing service here, I got here so much earlier than the rest of my friends and they let me have a seat and stay there and were very hospitable. The menu had so many amazing options to choose from and what we ordered was delicious!
Great place for a casual dinner with friends. Our reserved table for four on a Saturday night was ready, service was efficient and helpful. Highly recommend the sweet potato soup (a special), Mega Dose of Vegetables and Grains, and seared salmon. This place takes vegetables seriously, and believes in big portions. Sorry we didnt have room for dessert!
10/10 recommend for brunch! This is one of the exceptional brunch places of Philadelphia. When you first walk in, you are warmly greeted by the host and seated. I love decor of the restaurant, there are sunflowers everywhere :)The waiters that work here are always accommodating your needs and are very alert to when you need a refill.Depending on your group size and what you order, it can be a wait until your food arrives so drink up!
Classy space, attentive staff, good portion sizes with good flavor. Dont eat the apple centerpieces.
Tasty and delightfully plated, this was a great menu. Did very well with my gluten free needs too.
We made reservations for 2 pm... waited 10 minutes to be seated which was fine. The interior was was nice and cozy. Once seated, the service very slow from the beginning and our server had no personality. Without going into a play by play, It was 1 hour and 20 minutes from the time seated until we were served our food. Drinks: our group loved the passion fruit Sangria if you like sweet beverages. The Bloody Mary was nothing to brag about and mimosas were very very sweet (prosecco vs. Champagnefor a brunch place. We all ordered eggs and one ordered a Cesar salad ( no protein so it’s not like we ordered anything that should have taken long. Server never gave us an update until we asked. One of the entrees was literally covered in raw onions that it could not be eaten. My opinion based on our Experience is I would not recommend as there are so many better options in the area. I’m glad we tried it and unfortunately I will not return and would recommend others to go elsewhere. What a disappointment!
Had a lovely dinner here last week. Food was very good, a few choices were excellent. Something described as spicy could have been a bit more spicy. Creative, interesting menu. Excellent service. Cocktails were delish, wine list needs work in the Cabernet/Malbec choices. Warm and inviting atmosphere. We’ll be back for sure!
We are generally not much for splitting meals, but when we ordered two different fish dishes - we couldnt decide which one was even better, so we each had half. Throw in some very unique cocktails, which as an unplanned bonus were half price since we were there during happy hour, and you got yourself a great meal. And as the cherry on top - the place has a great social conscience as to where and how their food is sourced. We were actually just in Old City for something else and this was our first time there - but it will definitely not be our last.
Gluten free menu. Clean eating. Great for when you’ve stuffed yourself on cheesteaks and burgers. He portions were perfect and the food not too heavy. They have a full bar. Clean and friendly. The tables are close together, but the ambience is friendly.
Beautiful and cozy atmosphere with friendly service. It took a little while to get our food, but everything came out perfectly. My pancake stack was fluffy and flavorful. Decent prices and excellent breakfast menu.
I came here for a business meeting a couple of weeks ago. The food was very good. Delicious brunch! Our waiter was very pleasant and gave great recommendations. Nice ambiance. Looking forward to going back!
Delicious! Many options for all tastes & dietary restrictions. Sourced from local farms. Beautiful decor as well!
Went here while visiting relative in Philly. This place was very busy but servers were running back and forth taking care of everyone. We had to sit at the bar for a while before a table opened up. I had the vegan burrito which was super packed with soy chorizo, mushrooms, potatoes etc and really spicy. Our food came quickly once we ordered. Definitely coming back here.
I really liked it here for our early Sunday morning breakfast. The ambience was nice and the service was great. Not a huge breakfast menu, but definitely a nice variety, something for everyone. The food was nice and fresh. We both enjoyed our meals and when we were done, we didnt feel rushed to leave. We sat for a bit and talked which was nice.
We first called to see if there was room for our party of 6 (5 adults and a toddler). We explained to the host that we were coming from talulas garden because the host there was rude. When we arrived, they had reserved a table for us to make sure that we dont get a similar bad experience. The host, waitress, staff were all super kind and accommodating. They not only treated us like customers but like actual people. They took care of us and made sure that everything was good. The food was delicious. We had the pork chops, duck breast, and salmon. The pork chop was seasoned and glazed with the best sauce Ive ever had on a pork chop. Our family normally doesnt eat too much pork but we found it exceptionally good. The salmon was phenomenal and the duck breast was equally as good. Everything was juicy and tender!!We would definitely recommend everyone looking for a farm to table restaurant to come here. We had nothing but excellent service. We will be telling all our friends to go here for the food and service :)
Had breakfast/brunch here on a Sunday. It was pretty packed. I had the crab salad and my boyfriend had the pancakes, bacon and eggs. Everything was good.
Was visiting from NYC and heard about this place from friends. Very nice place to grab brunch on a weekday. For a party of 2 at around noontime we were seated after a 20minute wait. We tried 2 cocktails for their happy hour special that were refreshing. If I lived nearby, I would come again to try some of the other cocktails. Food itself was great, just nothing exceptional to note here.
Came here during a work trip. We were trying to figure out the cool and delicious places to try that were walking distance from Independence Hall. Stumbled upon this place and decided to check it out. Definitely cannot complain! I got the steak and a delicious craft beer IPA. The service was great, and so was the food - hands down! Would definitely recommend this place for a solid entree and good beer.
My friends and I came here for brunch on a busy Sunday afternoon. We made a reservation ahead of time and unfortunately our original table was taking too long to leave so they had to prepare a new table for us but the wait wasn’t too bad.Food: We were a group of 6 and everyone enjoyed their food. They were out of a few items which made me change my order, but I’ll just have to come back and try what I originally wanted. My girlfriend ordered a side of grits wit her burger and she said that they were very good. The fries that came with my BLT were really good. Others in our group had pancakes, French toast, sausage, western omelette, potatoes, and more and everything was deliciousDrinks: Although we didn’t take advantage of it, I really like that this place lets you BYOB and doesn’t charge you the opening fee. I also like that they have a brunch happy hour. I ordered a white sangria which was good but could use a little more sweetness from fruit in it.Would definitely recommend placing a reservation if you plan to come in as it was very packed today. You can always sit at the bar and enjoy a drink while you wait too.
Who doesnt like happy hour on a Sunday?? They offer half price drinks Sunday afternoons. This place is a great location for bringing a group of friends for brunch. Its bright and open, with beautiful artwork on the walls. The food is fresh and everything we tried was delicious. From my group, the favorites were Shrimp and Grits and Crab Omelette.
Great food and quick, friendly service. Recommend checking out for those visiting from out of town, like myself!
Good value for money, but the food really is just average. Too greasy and with too much sauce or dressing - even the prosciutto! That being said, it is in a nice location in old town, and if you’re not fussing too much about taste, then you’d enjoy the brunch or the half price drinks until 7pm on weekdays. An exception to the bland food: the salads were pretty good. Especially the lentil salad.
Solid farm-to-table dinner in Old City with nice selection of cocktails (and BYO!)Went to dinner with a party of five. I think the overall strength of Farmicia is that all the dishes are of consistent good quality with balanced flavor, including appetizers, entrees, and desserts. I had the duck breast, salted caramel ice cream, and one of the blood orange cocktails, all of which I would eat again. If I had to offer minimal critique, perhaps the dishes could be more a little more creative, or plated with more pizazz.Overall, a good crowd-pleasing option when compared to other Philly restaurants at a similar price point.
Friendly staff! Awesome Brunch! 50% off all cocktails during brunch WOW!!!
Met a friend for lunch here. It was a but noisier than the first time I was here. Food was excellent both times. I had the Mexican omelette with chorizo & avocados salsa with salad (potatoes, fruit salad or French fries were there either options). Added a side of Canadian bacon. Not sure Id do that again as the Canadian bacon was overdone to the point of being tough. The omelette was excellent with the chorizo adding just the right pop. The service was very slow, so be aware. Go for the food, not the service.
Outstanding food and service. A must visit for a breakfast burger!
This was the best place I have ever eaten at hands down. The atmosphere was relaxing an the staff was really freindly an the food came out hot an fresh! I ate the grilled chicken sandwich an had the blueberry gin cocktail which was just as good as the food!! We will be returning again and again. Thank you to all the front of the house staff an back of house staff for a great first experience at your restaurant. Keep up the good.
Always good food and service. Highly recommend the lump crab omelette (I opted not to have the hollandaise sauceand the goat cheese panini on sourdough!
Farmicia NEVER disappoints!Tonight comprised of Seared Tuna on Toast, Duck Breast, and Apple Cranberry Crisp. My fiancée and her daughter had equally delicious and visually appealing meals. In the realm of drinks, Farmicia reigns supreme. There was not one bad experience with this exquisite establishment for as long as I have been coming here. As long as their quality and staff continues on this path, there is no stopping them and their fans.
Came here for restaurant week and it was delicious. I had the meatballs and duck breast and they were fantastic. My date had the seasonal soup (butternut squash and the pork chop which brought both quality and quantity. Their happy hour special is also great: half off ALL drinks! I had a couple $6 sazeracs that were made perfectly. Will definitely be back.
Had a great brunch here and arrived just in time for happy hour! They have one of the best bloody Marys Ive had in a long time (they make their own tomato juice🤯)They have huge portion sizes. I had a omelet with crab. Super fresh and yummy. Cant wait to visit Philly again!*Pictured- my omelet with crab and a side of crispy bacon.
Wife and I happened by here on New Years Eve without a reservation. Walked in with no expectations and were amazed at this gem we were lucky enough to discover.FARMiCiA was truly accodomating and delivered quality food deep in the heart of Philly. Their drinks were delicious and reasonably priced.Lets take a moment to talk about the fried lobster tail, we would seriously consider going back just to eat 3-4 plates of those lobster tails.Their seafood is easily the highlight of this restaurant whether they intended it to be or not. We will definitely be back on our next visit to downtown.
The food and drinks were very nice, but the service sucked! After our entrees arrived, we felt ignored. 30-45 minutes pasted before we asked to see a dessert menu. Even after that, the dessert menu did NOT have the New Years special that we wanted to try and another 15 minutes passed, during that time, we saw other tables get their dessert and coffee, but not us. After that, we just payed the bill and left WITHOUT dessert or coffee.
Busy Saturday night, but got right in. Service was exceptional. Wife got the talapia and I had the pork chop. We both enjoyed our meals. We always pay cash when dining out and were surprised to get a 10% discount for doing so. An unexpected bonus to a great evening. Seemed to be a trendy crowd with the exception of the two 60+ seniors writing this review.
My family ate brunch here while visiting Philadelphia, and we had a great meal! The ambiance and food really stood out from an average brunch place. The menu had delicious and had unique selections. It’s difficult finding Sunday brunch places, but we made a reservation on Sunday morning no problem! We will certainly eat here again when we visit Philly.
Interesting brunch menu with half-priced cocktails from 11am - 2pm. Their signature bloody Mary was very tasty, especially with the Chillaquilles. The service was attentive, but not overly so. Everyone enjoyed their meals, and the "non-rushed" atmosphere - we were there almost 3 hours, enjoying a nice Sunday afternoon, and never felt pressured to leave.
Chicken and waffle was very yummy. Breading on chicken was mmm mmm good. Half price drinks at brunch is great
I went for brunch. The coffee was really good. I typically dont like omelets but I had the egg white with Feta, tomato, and spinach with a salad. It was moist and full of flavor. Whole grain toast with tasty jam. The server was quiet but still good service.
My husband and I love this place, and its one of the handful of restaurants in the city where we just keep coming back. It can at times be hard to find even one good vegan entree option on restaurant menus in Old City, but Farmicia has not just one but three! The risotto croquette dish is my favorite though, its filling, filled with seasonal veggies, and the romesco sauce on top is just perfect. Theyll bring you olive oil on the side to go with the bread (amazing bread -- I think its from Metropolitan Bakery?if you dont eat butter, wish they could make a plant-based version of their compound butter though!Though we keep coming back for the food, this place is BYOB and serves their own alcohol! Its truly the best of both worlds. The atmosphere is buzzy and filled with others without feeling crowded and overly loud. Highly recommend.
Visited this restaurant today for a brunch. Warm atmosphere, excellent service & delicious food with a reasonable price . The staff here are amazing & service is quick. Special thanks to Morry !
This place was awesome. Great appearance, good food and awesome service!!
Food was fairly good. Not the best thing I ever had, but very cool that the food comes from local farms. Good atmosphere. Good beer, wine, and cocktail selections.
We came here for brunch after my Bachelor party and were in rough shape. The bartenders were super friendly and accommodating to us. The food was delicious, as was the bloody Mary. Great spot!
Photogenic and delicious food. Reasonably priced. Stylish location and good menu selection
5-star ambiance, felt like Philly. Treated by staff as much as a guest as a commodity. Lunch of soup, Cobb salad, bread and glass of Oregon Pink Gris was very good, but not outstanding. They need to upgrade their watery Blue cheese dressing. Far above a bar food experience and reasonably priced. I would visit again.
Amazing food: very fresh. Excellent vegan/vegetarian options. Fresh squeezed of is a must for brunch
Go here for brunch, I try something new each time and Ive never been disappointed.
Totally incredible. Farm to table food served in hardy portions with lovely presentation! I recommend the warm brie with pesto, completely delicious! Not to mention they have great coffee and tasty cocktails. They even offer a discount if you pay your bill in cash! Cannot be beat :)
Great food and the staff is consistent with great service every visit. I havent had a meal here I didnt love, and the music selection really sets the mood with an upbeat yet relaxing play list. The bar seating area is spacious yet cozy, its always nice to see a familiar face and be able to say hello from the other side.
