Im still here as a matter of fact its my first night . Had a bad day by the time i got here. Amanda was excellant and very helpful. The only problem i had was the tv amanda came and fixed it. She is true to her words. The bed was comfortable. I went to sleep right away.i would recommend this hotel. Because you will not find a manager like amanda will not go there since amanda is not there. She held the place together. The owners loss.

Amanda and Shawn they was one hell of a great team. Now if you want to get a room and have great management you can just go over to the motel thats just 2 blocks down the road where Amanda works now.

The owners of the place commit fraud on a yearly basis and as part of their last scheme forced my wife who was the manager and I out of the motel allowing a bunch of my tools and personal things to be stolen by the remodel crew lied on oath in court. This place has been being remodeled for years never gets done but they sure rake in a pretty penny at over 400,000 a year. Unhonest owners in a dangerous part of town. The owners will charge you even if you dont go there . No matter when you cancel dont give them your card number and they dont accept cash. Internet never works because they dont care about having internet at a place that will be shut down every other month or so and when they do get internet it gets hackers on it and they have no one to work on the security. They are trying to keep me from getting my belongings from there even though a large majority of it has been stolen.

They helped me so much and went above and beyond protocol and i truly appreciated it and will be forever grateful! I would had prolly gotten frostbite & hypothermia.... They were very accomodating..friendly... And understanding... The room was also very good in size ... Cleanliness & sound wise as well... If im out there again i will definatly go there... This quaint motel is a historic treasure. The rooms were very clean and very well maintained. The staff was super accommodating to our needs and the facilities felt very safe.

Nice little place to stay

The owner will not return my calls.They said we sated , we DID NOT stay there at all, the room was bad, no air, shower was disgusting, and they will not return my calls. WHY?

We stayed for a couple of weeks. The manager Amanda went well above above and beyond to ensure we where comfortable Even with all the other things she was doing that girl is the hardest worker I have seen in some time and to top it off she has excellent customer service.

Update: while the owner responded requesting that I delete the review because the issue was resolved, that is not the case at all. I am still waiting for a call after I notified them that the card declined over a month ago.My family and I were supposed to stay here in February, but there was a double booking issue with the room we had chosen. I was seven months pregnant at the time. We had to pay extra to stay at a hotel last minute. The manager was very kind and told us that she would refund us the money. Four months and multiple phone calls later, we have yet to receive a refund. Every time I would call, I was reassured that the refund would post in a few days. I then wrote a review of my experience and, rather than reach out to me, the owner responded that they had refunded me the money. When I called, I was provided with a “digital card” that would contain my refund and asked to delete the review, so I did. Once I tried to use the card, it was declined. I called the next day to ask what had happened and told that they would call me back; that was last Friday. Still have not received a call or a refund. At this point, I am very tired of asking the business to make it right.

The manger was very friendly, my daughter and I that night we didn’t end up staying there but she still refunded our money great wonderful person.

Rooms were clean, staff was professional and accommodating and the price was excellent!

To start off, I think many of the negative reviews are coming from people who expect this to be a 5-star resort... you get what you pay for! This is a very reasonable price for a nice, clean room. I appreciate that if there is something wrong, the management goes out of their way to make you feel comfortable. TV not working? They’ll fix it or move you to a room that has one that works- you just have to speak up and ask. Again, this property is not a resort, it’s compared to other motels/cheaper hotels, but if you’re looking for a cost-effective, clean room and a friendly atmosphere, that’s what you’ll get!

What a Great place to stay when youre on the road! Mgt is very attentive to your needs, friendly and hard working! Would definitely stay here again!!!!

Staff is amazing... this place is quiet and well taken care of

Amanda this review is about you. You have done amazing things that we didnt believe could be done. You have done such a great job turning that place around you made our stay feel like we was at home you should be proud of yourself Your husband I will say is a lucky man and he has done such a fantastic job on those rooms and filling in when you need him to. Dont stop that perfect team. Your doing a great job sweety.

When we arrived there was no heater in the room. I notified the front desk she provided a small electric heater this morning when I woke up I noticed daylight coming between the door and the doorjamb I noticed daylight coming between the air-conditioning unit and the wall there was a breeze all night there was no smoke detector I have notified the fire marshal. There was no Wi-Fi available in room 123 as advertised the pictures of the rooms that are advertised or not even close to what the actual room is. I ran out of hot water halfway through a four minute shower I understand you guys are remodeling but if you’re not up to code you should not be open. I’m not for sure what you want one person to do when all of that is going on? The property manager was more than helpful and was very apologetic for the stay she did her job 100%.

Recomend for staying nights at Douglas. The manager (Amanda)s so friendly and helpful. The room is clean. Evrything is good! The price is reasonable. I would give you guys A+

Amanda sure has made it so much better. Pavloh and myself have worked and worked and wirked to clean up the mess that was made from the previous. Ive been rooting for the success of this place and so far the owners are making great progress.

Its a place to lay down for a bit but it ends there

The place was so good and the room was so cleaned and the most interesting thing is (Amandashes very welcoming woman very nice woman she made us feel home even though it was our first time to be in douglas keep it up Amanda God bless you and all your family

Room was clean and comfortable. Front and back windows, great fresh air. Quiet area . Good service. Under renovation.

I made a reservation to stay here when we showed up the sign said no vacancy! whole place was trashed door didnt even have doorknobs you could see bed flipped over in rooms through the broken windows. We went somewhere else. I will never make a reservation here agian. If youre under construction you should not be trying to rent out rooms!!!

Great Manger, had dentist apt in Mexico and this was very convient.

So happy I found this gem in douglas. Rooms we exceptionally clean and didnt have to worry about a thing during my stay. 10/10 would recommend this place to anyone staying in the area. Looking forward to my next stay with them!

Clean and updated . Loved my stay

Dont even think about it! What a run down drug infested dump. Ill never stay there again. They dont even bring you toilet paper When you run out.

Exceptionally clean rooms. Outstanding customer service. Owners were very accommodating and we felt very welcome. Loved the complimentary beverage hour. Very unique! Definitely the place to stay if you are in Douglas.
