We took three ExperienceFirst tours while in Paris - Notre Dame and Montmartre with Paula, and the Eiffel Tower guided climb with James. Both tour guides were engaging and knowledgeable. It’s clear they have a passion and love for this city, and that really came through on all three tours. We were especially excited to get two tours with Paula. She is very personable and we enjoyed our time with her (and James).
MoreWe arrived early for the Paris Eiffel Tower Climb by Stairs. We were so lucky to get Remi because he takes the early group from what I could tell. He gave interesting anecdoctes beyond the facts. Very personable. Great tips for visiting other areas of Paris. Easy to understand. There is a calmness and professionalism about him that we appreciated. He also seems to really like his job.
MoreWe met Melanie at our meet up spot and she checked for our entire group before we took off. She was very thorough explaining the process about how to go through security and the second line of security. While we waited she presented us with information about the Eiffel Tower’s history. I really enjoyed the information and the way she interacted with all of us!
MoreParis - Notre Dame and Crypt Tour.Audrey was our guide at this historic location but we would find out that amazement was the real destination. The crypt was closed and Audrey regaled us with history, humor, and a tempo which demonstrated the seasoned skills she holds. My wife and I were quick to ask questions and she not only held all of the answers, but would elaborate and tell us even more.In addition to a tour of Notre Dame, she spoke of the surrounding areas, buildings, the events that came to pass, and tied them to everything from pop culture to classic literature. While she stated that it was atypical, she even did a pair of backflips before riding a bicycle cart and making us all crepes. One of these things is not true, but you will need to take the tour with Audrey to find out. You will not regret it!
MoreWe loved our Eiffel Tower guide, Shivani! She was encouraging when I was struggling with fear of heights. She had LOTS of great history and current events knowledge related to the Eiffel Tower. She even provided us with an organized list of recommendations for food and beverages around the city.We also loved our Notre Dame Tour guide, Remi! He was able to give us the history and point out the details of the original work and engineering, and give us a local perspective on the fire and rebuilding. He was personable and welcomed any questions we had. He even pointed out unique details around the city like the beautiful water fountains so we could later refill our water bottles!
MoreI have the opportunity to join a fantastic Paris Montparnasse tour with our tour guide, Rim Tamara. She clearly loves the neighborhood, which makes her an amazing tour guide for this lol. She has lots of little stories about the neighborhood to share with us and is extremely friendly and easy to talk to (unlike 99% of Parisians we met during the trip.). You can feel the joy pouring out of her. So I highly recommend this walking tour and our lovely tour guide, Rim Tamara.
MoreWe had a wonderfull tour through the covered passages with Maria. Maria was awesome and guided us through the passages with much enthousiasm. She gave us alot of information about the passages history and the shops inside, also with extended tips which shops to visit and which to skip.Afterwards she even e-mailed us with a list of the recommendations she told us during the tour.We were very happy to have taken this tour. Normally i never take tours on my trips, but this tour really changed my opinion. Unfortunately we had this tour on the last day of our stay in Paris so we couldnt really follow up on Marias recommendations. But when we come back we will definately do so!We also had a tour on the Eiffel Tower with Exp1. We booked a time on the 19th of october, but couldnt make it on time. I called them to ask what to do next. Without much hassle we could book our new appointment for the Eiffel tower the next day.It did cost a € 20,- administrative fee. But i thought it was fair, since it was my mistake to begin with and they were very clear about this fee from the start of the booking. It would have cost me more for the no show.At the Tower unfortunately the summit closed right before we could enter. After sending an e-mail stating my case, they replied swiftly within one day and accepted the refund.Overall a wonderfull customer experience! 5 stars well deserved!
MoreRim Tamara was our guide for the Paris Montparnasse tour and she was great. She was very flexible for the needs of the group which happened to include my 7 year old son. Ill say that the stop for ice cream and macarons on the way was a big hit! She also took extra time with us to show us some extra sights and was great at checking in on how we were doing, monitoring the pace, and ensuring that we learned and enjoyed ourselves. Highly recommend.
MoreThank you Fateh for taking us on our first walking tour in Paris at the Notre Dame. Fateh was very experienced and knowledgeable about our tour. The whole experience was very relaxing and our guide filled us in with relevant historical and architectural details about the Notre Dame. Fateh even sent us some recommendations of restaurants near by after our tour. Our next walking tour was led by Kateryna at the Eiffel Tower. We also had an amazing experience with her walking tour as well. She is a great guide with deep knowledge of the Eiffel Tower. Not only is she great at guiding but she is also an exceptional story teller (not to mention singer!!).Overall, we appreciate the time and effort our guides have put into their prep work and presenting the information to their audienceWe really enjoyed our experiences and would definitely recommend this tour to our friends and family who may visit Paris.
MoreWe did the Le Marais tour with Sara and she was fantastic! She explained some very interesting facts and history, the tour stops were great and she provided us with some recommendations for the city. Would definitely book again and request Sara for future walking tours. 1000% worth booking!
MoreFantastic tour of the Eiffel tower, we had Masha as a tour guide and was excellent. Very knowledgeable and a great personality, highly recommended. We did the stair climb tour, with a lift to the top, do the stairs!! They are not steep and the view changes as you go, you wont break a sweat unless you run! Ive done the lift before and you dont see as much. Thanks Masha!
MoreThe Montparnasse tour incl. access to the tower rooftop is very pleasing and rich of information. However, I strongly discourage all tourists to take the ExperienceFirst Pass (overall package covering for all the 175 attractionsas:- Despite all museums and main attractions are included when you buy the ExperienceFirst pass, you anyhow need to book them in advance (e.g. Louvre ticket), which is quite annoying. What is the meaning of booking all attractions at once if then I need to re-book each attraction separately in order to get a place? When we arrived in Paris, we found out that most of the tours and attractions were already sold out.- Everytime you book for a tour, they ask for your credit card details, and if you are not able to go for whatever reason, they charge you 34 euros per person, unless you cancel your reservation 24h before the event, which is never the case, and of course their phone line doesnt work.- The pass doesnt save you from the long lines to get to the attractions (most of the time, we had to wait in the line for more than one hour).- The pass doesnt cover for the elevator at the Eiffel Tower tour, so you have to climb all the stairs up to the second level because, of course, the panoramic view at the top is not included. So, this ExperienceFirst pass is just another way for french people to steal money from tourists. Dont do that.Just book the attractions you want to see with "get your guide" for example, which is much better.
MoreSarah and Obien were great guides. Highly recommend this tour company for anyone visiting Paris.
MoreA wonderful first experience with ExperienceFirst22/09 - Covered Passages with DavidThe beauty of these passages surpassed my expectations and David was a wonderful guide on our first walking tour in Paris. A special thanks for the great food recommendations!22/09 - Notre Dame with Monika PThe lovely Monika was a wonderful guide and I especially loved the information she shared about the Bouqinistes, something I had not heard about until then. The history of the Cathedral itself is intriguing and we wish we could have seen it in all its glory. Nevertheless, a worthwhile tour, with a lot to see!23/09 - Eiffel Tower with PaulaThe sheer magnitude of the Eiffel Tower is enough to blow your mind. Paula delivered an engaging tour and I greatly appreciated that she kept us updated as to the next steps throughout the tour; something I found to be very rare at many attractions. Guests are usually expected to know what to do and where to go, despite it being their first visits.Paula shared facts about the attraction in a pleasant manner and the (shortwait in the queue was made a lot more tolerable thanks to her!23/09 - Latin District with AudreyWhat an interesting area with incredible architecture! A great meeting point at the Sénat in the stunning Luxembourg gardens. Audrey has such a fantastic personality, making for a wonderful afternoon out. She took the time to share questions from other group members with the rest of us before answering which was appreciated as it kept the entire group engaged and included. I will definitely be back for the nougat some day!24/09 - Père-Lachaise with Monika PLovely to see a familiar face at our meeting point! A most interesting attraction to visit.Monika was considerate of our time constraints but still managed to give us a thorough and leisurely tour. Only we wished we could have spent more time there. This was our second tour with Monika and we were certainly not disappointed.24/09 - Hidden Gems in Le Marais with MariaA vision in black waiting for you at the meeting point, Maria is as kind as she is knowledgeable. Maria’s delivery of this tour is a delight and she had so many great facts and recommendations to share with the group. We enjoyed a leisurely pace with sufficient time to appreciate the incredible street art that is synonymous with the area.24/09 - Montparnasse with Rim TamaraWe were fortunate enough to have a “private tour” when the other guests didn’t arrive and loved our time with Rim Tamara; a warm, considerate and knowledgeable guide who showed us a wonderful time in Montparnasse. What a treat to have walked the very streets of the likes of Ernest Hemingway. RT was most patient and allowed us to enjoy our time at a leisurely pace, offering to take our photo etc. Although not part of the tour, the suggestion to visit the Montparnasse Tour was the perfect end to get an aerial view of the neighborhood and all that we covered on foot. The cemetery is just as beautiful from above.25/09 - Montmartre and Sacré Cœur with MariaA most wonderful surprise to find Maria again at our meeting point. Her love and passion for this area really came through in her delivery of this tour. Care was taken to make the leisurely walk up to the basilica as pleasant as possible with regular and interesting stops along the way. Maria pointed out the main Instagram attractions and gave the group some invaluable tips on how not to fall victim to tourist traps. The Sacré-Cœur is the perfect culmination to this tour and being there on a Sunday is an experience that I will not soon forget!
MoreLoved the Paris Montaparnasse walking tour with Rim Tamara. She was such a delight and personable. I learned so much about the area as well as cool information about the culture. It was such a fun experience and highly recommend since you learns things and tidbits you can’t find online. She even goes above and beyond to make sure your stay in Paris is as wonderful with incredible suggestions outside the tour!
MoreJust Loved it. The overall experience was just awesome. Our guide Katerina was very friendly and jolly. She made the whole climbing as smooth as possible with her lovely commentry. Will definitely recommend to others. Total money worth.
MoreHello,We booked a tour at the Eiffel tower and it was very good.I liked that we played a quiz while waiting in line. By the time we started climbing the stairs we already knew pretty much about the tower. Our tour guide (Abbywas pretty good and the tour was entertaining.Thank you, I would definitely recommend it.
MoreThis was by far the highlight of our experience in Paris for one and only one reason: AMIRA!Give me a chance to explain...The Eiffel tour was on one of the last days of our stay in Paris. We had gone around and did our best to cover all the recommendations that you typically find online. This was supposed to be one of the last stops. The tour of the Eiffel Tower. On the day we found it challenging to find a ride (two ubers didnt take us because they had a limit of 3 people -- despite the app saying 4--, the Uber dropped us off at the wrong spot so we had to literally run to be on time.Needless to say we were a bit flustered when we finally met with Amira, our tour guide. This lady instantly changed the mood. She was wearing her mask but you could see the smile come through and that was enough to lift the our spirits. You expect a tour guide to be knowledgeable. But, Amiras insight goes beyond just knowledge. She has shares information in a way that sticks. In a different life should could easily be a world-class educator.I understand this review is about Amira and not the tour but, in my opinion, the guide IS the tour! For us, this young lady was the glue that brought the entire Paris visit together. With the information she provided we were able to put the pieces of the puzzle together.I know you dont expect an essay in a review but if youve read this far you are like me and appreciate stories. If thats you asking for Amira is a must. She is a born storyteller. Finally, to Amira...If you are reading this review let it serve as encouragement for you to keep doing what you are doing. Continue to grow and inspire others through your stories. You have a gift!
MoreI have had a remarkable experience with "ExperienceFirst" while visiting Paris. The tour guides for Eiffel tower climbing tour and Notre Dame outdoor walking tour was very knowledgeable and helpful. My sincere and special thanks goes to Jhmena, Vesna, and Lorraine for their all round help and support. They went above and beyond to help me out in every steps.I do highly recommend to get ExperienceFirst for touring any major tourist destination which I will always do.
MoreWhat an incredible experience to climb the Eiffel Tower. Rawda was our guide and she was extremely knowledgeable with a great sense of humour. She made the tour most enjoyable. Merci beaucoup! A la prochaine!!
MoreSophies a kind, patience and beautiful guide tour. The introduction and guide were very interesting and fun experience. Thanks to Sophie, we learned a lot of history and stories about Eiffel tower. Esp. love the little event while line up for the tickets. Really great experience and unforgettable memories.
MoreWe did a walking tour of Notre Dame with our guide Audrey, she was very informative and outgoing. Needless to say we loved the tour, even though they were in the process of rebuilding
MoreWe did the Eiffel Tower guided climb to the 2nd floor. Our guide was so much fun and had so many interesting facts to tell us. She kept us all engaged and answered any questions anyone had. If youre going to visit the Eiffel Tower, do the tour! You wont regret it.
MoreWe bought the Eiffel Tower Summit Tickets at an exorbitant cost. We were never explicitly told through the booking that the Summit Tour is subject to cancellation. Last minute before heading to the tower, the guide told us that sometimes the Tower management shuts the summit for visitors and in this case the tour operator will refund the money. When we reached the ticket counter we were told that the summit is closed but we clearly saw some visitors taking the elevator to the summit. We were told that they booked their tickets in advance! So here is the racket that Experience First is running. They make tourists pay for the summit visit even when they know that there are no tickets left for the summit (since it is a limited number everydayand that summit visits get booked way in advance. Then last minute they tell the tourists that summit may not happen and that we will get a refund of our summit part of the cost. Then at the tickets counter they say sorry summit not happening and ask us to reach out to the helpline for a refund. They never say how much will be refunded! Also, the guides make us stand in the long lines for the ticket, which takes about same time as if you were buying tickets without a tour operator. No point in booking through the operator. They literally Jack up the prices! The Eiffel Tower Summit tour is a big scan so beware of it. You are better off doing this on your own!
MoreSheldon was a great Eiffel Tower tour guide. I am so happy I decided to do the tour. Great insight stories and fun. Thank you for this great experience!
Morefor the Eiffel Tower Guided Climb by Stairs we could not find the guide so in addition of missing the Visit to the tower we lost the morning on a busy short vacation. Now to add to our pain ExperienceFirst is charging us $75.00 for supposedly to showing in addition to the cost of the Paris Pass already paid.Per my experience the the Go City Paris Pass is not worth it.
MoreWe did three walking tours with this company while in Paris - incredible and I highly recommend. We are active people but these tours are meant for most levels of activity and move at a leisurely pace. With Sheldon we did the Notre Dame and Crypt Walking Tour, and the Montmartre Walking Tour. He is kind, friendly, and knowledgeable. We did the Guided Eiffel Tour tour with Ariane and you would have never known it was her first week back on the job. She was bubbly and fun - and did a great job of pacing the climb for the diverse group we had. Thanks to these wonderful guides for their expertise!
MoreShivani was our guide for the Eiffel Tower tour, she was wonderful! We learned a lot by her information, she was very knowledgeable and friendly! Would definitely recommend Shivani as your guide for any tour!!
MoreWe thought we were lucking out, since the Eiffel Tower was booked months in advance for our trip — but we found tickets! We purchased our tix through Viator, whose advertising was deceiving, and then had an extremely disappointing and frustrating experience with ExperienceFirst. First, it is not a skip the line tour. Many people showed up expecting to skip the line, only to wait for hours with the ExperienceFirst tour guide to get tickets. That issue is on Viator, whose advertising is deceiving. But, importantly, ExperienceFirst also did not buy any tickets in advance — they buy them with you, when you are there — which means you are not assured of getting what you actually purchased online. So even though you may have already paid them to go to the summit, if all the summit tickets have sold out for the day, you then have to do the work and apply for a partial refund — and not get what you originally paid for. On top of the crazy process, the tour guide from Experience First was not only inadequate, but quite rude. She became defensive on multiple occasions when people asked questions about the process. While waiting in the long lines in 102+ degree weather, an 8-year old girl asked if the tower would fall down. She replied, “No, it is built very well.” She refused to have a dialogue, saying that is what she would discuss on the tour. And at one point during the tour, she asked if everyone could hear ok. When I said no, her response was, “move closer.” Nothing about her being willing to change what she was doing. It is no wonder that 95% of our tour group actually left and did not want to hear her tour! I do not recommend Viator (if you are thinking of purchasing tix through themor an Experience First tour. If you’re considering either and think you lucked out, please know that it really is too good to be true. Hindsight is 20/20. Take your chances, get to the Eiffel Tower early and buy your own tix. You will have just as much of a chance (maybe moreto get the tix you want, you won’t be waiting for other people/tour guides, will actually get there faster, and have a much easier time.
MoreHad a fun experience with great tour guide- George. The stories and humor adds a wonderful element to the tour.
MoreIf you go to Paris, climbing the Tower is a must-do experience, and ExperienceFirst can make the huff and puff much more enjoyable! Kateryna, our guide, made the otherwise tedious climb a real pleasure, with her hilarious jokes and all the fun anectdotes about the Tower and the city of Paris. Bonus points for the tips on where to eat and have a bit of fun! Thank you so much, it was one of the best tour I have ever had! All the best!
MoreWe were on a Montmartre tour. Place quite different from the rest of Paris - just as beautiful, maybe even more than the rest of the city. We recommend it as one of the best tours. It would be best if Monika showed you around - she told us a lot of interesting facts about this place and its history. Greetings and thanks for the tour.
MoreAleksandra was an excellent guide and worked hard to keep it interesting for our teenagers while making sure we had stops for my mom who was with us. Great tour!
MoreRawda is the greatest tour guide in all of Paris. We had a great time climbing the Eiffel Tower and certainly didn’t expect it to be that much fun. Rawda was through the antenna amazing.
MoreI did several walking tours with Experience First and they were all exceptional. Great way for a first timer to see and get to know Paris. All of the tour guides were amazing - fun and knowledgeable. There was Montparnasse with Rim Tamara; Notre Dame and crypt with Anna and Le Marais with David - just to name a few of the excellent tours.
MoreExcellent experience of Montparnasse tour by Rim Tamara! The tour includes highlights such as the Montparnasse Cemetery and the Montparnasse tower. Rim is a very friendly and informative guide whom has provided her personal insights into the various attractions and personal recommendations to some of the restaurants around the area!
MoreHad really bad experience at Eiffle tower. Booked our tickets well in advance. When we reached at tower, it was almost an hr to come inside with the group ( from thr meeting point). From there we were taken to the tickets line and wait in the regular line. Tour guide purchased the tickets for all. ( we had ready paid almost double the amount - for 4 people upgrade to elevator ticket from guided stairs, we were charge 80 euros. Regular elevator tickets for 2 adults and 2 kids are 47 euros). That took more than an hr. So we wasted 2 hours even after buying tickets in advance. Family ahead of us, had paid 200 euros for summit. They have been told that summit is closed. However summit elevators were working and other people were going to summit. That family were fooled.
MoreMaria was our tour guide for the Eiffel Tower tour. She was very friendly and very helpful and knew a lot about the history of the tower and a lot about Paris in general. An excellent experience, highly recommended. We had Monika for our tour of Montmartre. She was an excellent guide and so knowledgeable about Montmartre. I really enjoyed this tour and would definitely recommend taking it.Last but not least! We had Maria (a different Mariafor the Notre Dame tour. She was brilliant, very funny and knew so much about the history of Notre Dame but also lots of little historical details and asides about the surrounding areas. Like the other 2 tours, I really enjoyed this and would highly recommend taking them all!!
MoreI will highly recommend ExperienceFirst when you are traveling. I used them for quite a few excursions in Paris and each experience was more exciting! Thr guides are very knowledgeable, have vibrant personalities and keep their audiences engaged. Guides like Monika L (Montmarte), Audrey (Scandalsand David (Le Maraisare the most valuable assets this company has. Money well spent!
MoreWe had a very informative and entertaining Tour with our Guide Sophia, who told us a lot of interesting and unexpected thing about the Tour Eiffel. Going up the stairs was a very welcome and not too hard exercise. The Tour itself was not too crowded and showed his best sides.
MoreI took two tours with Experience First: Montmartre (tour guide Hafidand the covered passages (tour guide Joanna). Both were excellent. Hafid’s tour of Montmartre was the perfect mix of history, tips for where to go and what to do, and he adapted the tour and adjusted the pace to accommodate a person in the group who had some mobility issues. Joanna’s love of the covered passages and of Paris shined through in her tour. She shared many interesting stories about the landmarks we encountered along our tour, was very friendly and also offered tips on where to eat and stay and which places to avoid. I highly recommend these guides and tours and look forward to my next Experience First tour!
MoreTamar was our guide to visit Tour Eiffel. She is friendly and funny. She knows her job very well!
MoreWe had the Notre Dame and Crypt Tour with Sara. Excellent guide!! She was funny and gave us very much information about the Notre Dame and other places in Paris. We also received a list of recommendations with cafes and restaurants.Thank you, Sara!
MoreWe visited Montparnasse. Our guide was the lovely Rim Tamara, she gave us a very interesting tour, with lots of facts and beyond the tour insights which made it really memorable. There were only two parties, including us, in the tour. This made the tour had a more personal and comfy vibe. l definitely recommend this tour with Tamara. Thanks
MoreHad visit to eiffel Tower. The guide Rawda was brilliant. Lots of really useful information and very interesting to listen to. . The ques were bit too bad si we really enjoyed the experienceTipTo avoid ques go on 9.15 am tour
MoreThe Tour is very well organised. You got clear informations about the meeting point and meeting time. I wanted to change the date and that was no problem and my issue was fast solved. Our Tour Guide George did a great job. He invited the group into the tour and we felt very comftable with his guiding. Everything was perfect. Thats why i gave 5 Stars
MoreOur group of 16 booked several tours while in Paris! This was the entire groups first time in Paris! The tour guides were very knowledgeable and provided a one of a kind experience for the entire group! We toured the Eiffel Tower, Louvre, Latin Quarter, and Versailles! Kudos to the entire team for assisting with booking perfect times and coordinating the right tours together.
MoreYoan gave us the tour of the Eiffel Tower and is extremely knowledgeable and did a great job at explaining the history of France. 100% would recommend, especially if Yoan is going to be your tour guide. Seriously, cant recommend enough
MoreERIC was fantastic today . He was full knowledge about Paris and all of its attractions, food , and history. If you want a tour guide with plenty of enthusiasm and is a genuine Parisian .Thanks again
MoreEric was an absolutely incredible guide on the Montmartre tour Paris Tour 1 at Eiffel Tower. Very humorous and in addition to the tour and history of the city etc. he also gave some really good advice and insight into the lifestyle and do’s and don’t’s of Paris which just made my overall trip so much better.
