Exmouth Market Grind - Coffee shop in Brezina, Algeria
Exmouth Market Grind in Brezina
Description
Privilege
Exmouth Market Grind, serves by far the best coffee on Exmouth Market. The staff are super friendly and helpful. This is a great place to go if some people want drinks and others want coffee. Their wine list and cocktail menus are also top notch. The fit out is also bright and fun, with pretty pinks and deep blues. The bar at the centre is also eye catching. All in all a great part of the vibrant Exmouth Market food scene!
MoreLiked the vegan burger, especially due to the sweet potato flavor note at the end It can use more sauce and tangy flavor. The teas served can also be improved.Loved the setting, great place to chat with friends.
MoreSuper friendly staff, great food and nice vibe! Look forward to visiting again soon to try some other things on the menu :))
MoreI have wanted to try this place for ages and finally did so, it was a good experience overall. The staff were attentive, decent food (although chicken a little too salty!and delicious drinks especially the mulled wine and cider. Ill definitely be back as the cocktail menu looked delicious, as did the other food on the menu. The interior is lovely too - loads of plants!
MoreGood service and reasonably priced. Unfortunately, food wasn’t good. Fried eggs were over cooked, white pudding was rather cold, toasts were burnt on sides, milk in cappuccino was sour! It seems you have a chaos in your kitchen - please control what is going on there. P.S. Hurry up, there is a Caravan on other side of the road:They have a perfect quality and they can overtake all your clients!
MoreThis is a great place to meet up with a friend and chat. The food is good too. It has comfortable seating and the waiters are friendly and helpful. At this location, the seating in the back is warmer. If you get cold easily then sit in the back.
MoreA lovely venue with great food and service. We visited today for a bottomless brunch, and was served by a young gentleman named Reece who was FAB!!! He was friendly and attentive and went above and beyond. Would thoroughly recommend.
MoreFood is not great and can be pricey but drinks are excellent.
Great restaurant - came here for dinner. Good range of dishes, burgers, steaks, veggie options. Even better range of cocktails and drinks! Friendly staff - we were even offered free expresso martinis when we arrived. Relaxed, chilled atmosphere, very laid back in the cool Exmouth Market area.
MoreWe had a big group for sharing plates and lots of cocktails last night for an engagement party and we were so impressed with the quality of the food (literally everything was delicious but I particularly enjoyed the halloumi aranchini things), the tasty cocktails and excellent service by all the staff. Everything came out in good time and we had a great night!
MoreWe went there in a group for cocktails. I had to reply to an urgent work email. On doing so we were told off by a staff member telling us that laptops arent allowed there. She offered no explanation, just rudely told us off and then walked away. We then felt very uncomfortable so we left.Ive never written a negative review about a business, particularly a small business as I know its someones livelihood. The tone and manner of this staff member was just nasty and appalling. Ive never been treated so poorly in a cafe/restaurant before. Im shocked and dont understand how this person thought that its ok to speak to, and treat customers in this manner. Our group were all shocked. I dont see myself ever returning here. Very disappointed.
MoreThe food here is amazing! The burger served on a brioche bun with delicious American style cheese and I opted to switches the fries to the sweet potato wedges. We did have a mix up on the order and some spills by the waiters and waitresses but all issues were corrected and we ended up with some free chicken
MoreLocal brunch go-to. Its far from the cheapest but the food is good and the service has always been efficient and friendly. Went at the weekend and was served by upbeat Vera M. The only downside was the noise, I sat right next to where the cutlery is kept which unfortunately meant constant disruptions from the sound of metal clanging.
Morethe usuall hipster coffee shop, with a really nice decor especially outside. But portions are super small. My cappuccino was good, so was the wine (even tho they forgot about itthe salmon poached eggs on toast were good, but 1 slice of toast is barley a whole meal, even for a small girl like me. wish theyd put a small salad on the side to make it more filling. Also my toast tasted burned and looked pitch black and when I told the waiter he said "its because its grilled". So?! Doesnt really matter to me if you burned it in a toaster or on Ariana Grandes little BBQ grill, if its burned its burned.Overall good concept, but room to step it up.
MoreWith so much mainstream coffee shops, sometimes you can’t see the wood from the treesBut I have to say, this place was different, or should I say the staff are different!I was on my way to an appointment but was a bit early so I thought l would grab a coffee first. I usually end up in Caffe Nero or Costa etc, but they were both busy, so I ended up at the Grind, good choice. The staff are helpful, well-mannered and above all the attitude is fantastic, especially Jack, I am still feeling the positive attitude he gives out!!Keep up the good work Jack and I definitely will be stopping there again!!!N
MoreI went for lunch with friends. The food was delayed by 45 minutes due to a larger party ordering minutes before us which was a massive issue because we were on our lunch break. When the food finally arrived, my pasta dish was child size. The portion was ridiculously small! i was left wanting a lot more. The best thing about the place is the atmosphere, certainly not the portion size nor is it good value for money.I would not recommend!!!
MoreMeh. Coffee was pretty awful. The way they describe the juice on the menu makes you think its going to be fresh made, but its out of a bottle at a couple of hundred percent markup (a single use plastic bottle, too - come on, guys). On the upside the staff are very friendly and efficient and the location is great - though next time Im on Exmouth Market Ill probably go somewhere else.
MoreMy 3 friends and I chose to lunch at Grind purely because it is super close to where we work and the atmosphere there seemed appealing enough. We had to wait approximately 45 minutes for our food, even though the waitress did say that it shouldnt take more than 20 mins. When the food did eventually arrive, we were all surprised at the ridiculously small portions. I ordered the steak and asked for it to be cooked medium to well, the steak I received was extremely tough, dry and tasteless - total waste of money!! 4 cocktails and a main each came to £97.17, that includes service charge which they automatically add on to the bill even though they are totally undeserving of it. I certainly would not recommend this restaurant, there are far better eating establishments around the area that charge a fraction of the price for much better service and quality.
MoreNice location. Very noisy when we visited. There were two large parties, both very noisy. Food was unavailable until 9.30pm whilst the parties were catered for. Seems a strange set up for a Saturday night in Central London. Left after cocktails and had dinner elsewhere. Staff less attentive then expected.
MoreI came here for a birthday brunch and while the food was nice, I dont think well be returning. The service was a bit slow and there was no sign that they had read my booking notes saying that this was for a birthday and could we have a nice table. No one made mention of my partners birthday and we were sat on a standard table between walk-in diners (I had hoped for one by the window).Nevertheless, the food was good. I had the spicy baked eggs and my partner had the full English. We paid £15 each for bottomless prosecco for 90mins, which was great value, and we left full and content.
MoreI have been there twice for brunch and I got the same impression both times: great food, but poor service. Food is tasty and portions are well served. However, they really need to do something about the service. It is like they forget you are there right after you take a seat. Both times they took ages to take our order and bring our food. The second time they came back after 20 minutes asking to take our order again because they had an issue with the system (probably they just forgot to register it). Because of this, they gave us the drinks for free, but that does not make up for the time lost. We were just two people and our brunch dragged over two hours because of all the delays (this happened the 1st time too). Im not sure if they are short of staff, because there seems to be plenty of people working, they are just more interested on chatting with each other or standing there without noticing the people waiting.
MoreConsidering the street food market is right on their doorstep, they hold their own both in cost and quality. Nice!
MoreIve eaten here twice now for lunch and both times its been bad.The menu is a bit all over the place, the burgers are below average (no lettuce or tomatoes inside).Fried food as an overly greasy feel in the mouth. Starters dont live up to the hype on the menu.Service has been up and down both times Ive been. There are better places to eat and have a meeting. Would not recommend.
MoreThe food and coffee are really good but...Very overpriced and small. I guess you pay for the hip aspect. The ambience is good, even if a bit too loud at times. Not great customer service. Ive been there 3 times and there was always an issue... one time they gave us the bill of the table next to us, I had paid and had to go back and argue over it.Another time waited 45 minutes for coffee and cake.Good brunch, creative and pretty.
MoreNeither disappointed nor impressed. Decor is great, staff was friendly, good menu and prices were also okay. Dish I chose (One Pan Eggwasnt that great... Egg white was slightly undercooked and hence a bit watery, tomato not seasoned enough and there was hardly any chorizo in it. Bread was put directly on the pan which made it soggy...all in all not what I expected. My girlfriends dish (Sweet potato harisa cakewas very good though, so Id give them the benefit of the doubt and might come again.
MoreGrind is one of my absolute favourite minichains and the Exmouth Market branch does not disappoint. The staff were absolutely charming (hey again, guys!and the food was great. Hugely upset that I couldnt enjoy a cocktail (self-imposed Dryanuarybut my friend had three and was suitably satisfied! The bar and restaurant have large windows affording views onto the bustling crossroads outside (cool neighbourhood - if you havent been!?).As with the other Grinds the classic, simple, unfussy interiors do not distract from the experience of you enjoying your company/conversation/drinks/evening/food.I would absolutely recommend a visit to this branch (or any others around the cityshould you be nearby!
More👍🏻- Exmouth market Grind used to be one of my favourite restaurant in London, they had the best staffs and food.✋🏻- However my visit this time disappointed me. They had a completely new set of staffs, who are less welcoming and have little knowledge of the restaurant. They also changed the way they make certain food(hash brown, orange juice (not fresh anymore), beans etc), which taste a lot worse than before. After booking a table in advance we have been put to a table that is at the back corner next to the table where the staffs laptops and personal belongings are (messy table), it definitely deteriorated my experience eating with them.My google map review of the restaurant 9 months ago:” Really lovely place to have breakfast, brunch, lunch, tea and dinner. I like the fact that they provide very healthy and delicious food. I like to work there with my laptop in the afternoon, staffs are really welcoming even after it’s been opening for a year. “
MoreI have previously been disappointed with the service and I have not been visiting Grind for few months. I have decided to give it another chance and I am glad that I did. I was served by Carly this time. What a breath of fresh air and what a service! So attentive and polite. The food was served pretty quickly and it was very tasty. We have ordered prawn tagliatele and iron flat chicken. I recommend both dishes. I hope that Carly gets recognition for an outstanding service. Its hard to get it these days.
MorePoor service matched with bland (and coldfood... The dishes lacked substance (when they eventually came as ordered), the service was lazy and forced. It would usually be a lovely environment to be in (creatively decorated interior with plants, and a nice outdoor seating), however you cant rely solely on that to be a successful restaurant...Or in the age where Instagram rules all, maybe you can, I lament...Dont bother with this useless place.
MoreThis place has a real trendy diner vibe, making it a nice hangout during the day, and also a popular hangout at night. The food here was good, as was the coffee - though a little pricier than Im used to. The service was really friendly and attentive, and I was made to feel very welcome. Definitely more of a place you go to with friends than a laptop-out sort of coffee shop, but it was nice and Id be back.
MoreFood was tasty and the expresso martini ordered via Drinki was great. Would recommend.
MoreWent for Brunch here and the woman who served us (didn’t get a name but she was black and had braidsmade the experience 10x better. The best brunch I’ve ever been to and the the music playlist was amazing. Food was delicious too and we were completely catered to for the entire time. 10/10 would do it again.
MoreGood coffee and the food isnt bad - typical Exmouth Market fodder, smashed avocado etc. Lively atmosphere and nice outdoor area but the service is a little slow
MoreBest brunch I did in London for now. The location with the terrace is just perfect. Everything was very tasty and valuable for the price! Service on top. Will come back very soon.
MoreGood food, good coffee, good drinks, good brunch, good service, good casual vibe - all for a decent price. Outdoor seating available. Shorts and sandals acceptable. Avocado toast with poached eggs was delicious.
MoreThe coffee is very good. The food has always been delivered to high standards. The staff is welcoming and attentive. It’s great to sit outside and people watch every once in a while as well.
MoreGreat place for Sunday brunch. We had the delicious wild mushroom, hash and egg dish, which I can warmly recommend. friendly staff and good coffee made it an all-round pleasant experience, and I will definitely be back to taste more of the menu.
MoreMy go-to breakfast place with the nicest pancakes and the coolest staff!
I have gone for Brunch/Breakfast here twice and each time the food has been whopper!! I got the sweet potato patties with poached egg and a side of avo, (both timesand my god was it absolutely heavenly each time. The only issue I did have was that the juices and smoothies arent freshly made on site, and I was led to believe they were. Pricey, but totally worth it for some seriously good food.
MoreA very busy hipster cafe/bar. Sunday morning and it was full of hipsters doing brunch. Lots of avocados and free range eggs on the menu! Half hour wait for a table or 5 minute wait for a take away coffee. Probably best to book. The coffee was very nice and the staff were helpful and friendly.
MoreGreat Instagram-worthy café. The place is really nice, food is good and the turmeric latte was excellent. Service was great, very attentive staff. We had the pancakes and the avocado smash. I thought the prices were rather steep, as well as the 12% service fee. Nonetheless, it was a nice culinary experience.
MoreCame here with my wife for dinner on a Saturday night. Busy but tables available and we were seated straight away. Staff really friendly and laid back and everyone seemed to have the same chilled out attitude which was great. Food was really tasty and didn’t have to wait too long. Great selection of coffee cocktails too!
MoreAmazing coffee cocktails, especially if you want something different from an espresso martini. Great music too!!
MoreHad dinner here and was really pleasantly surprised as was expecting average food but the food was actually different and quite tasty. Modern cuisine, with mediterranean spices and yogurt sauces. It wasn’t that packed but imagine that’s because of the not perfect rating on google now -which quite frankly makes no sense to me!
MoreA recent new branch open on Exmouth Market and coffee certainly wasnt disappointing. As always, a cool and friendly barista who knows how to make good coffee. They have a nice selection of milk alternatives if youre prefer or lactose intolerant. The have nut, oat or soya juice.
MoreGreat service, poor food. Went for breakfast on a recent Sunday morning. The staff were very helpful and polite, and sat us promptly. Had the veggie full English, it had all the constituents of a meaty full English, without the meat products… same price though. Rip off. Wouldnt go again.Coffee was good though.
MoreThe veggie breakfast and shashuka-style one-pan eggs were cooked to our specifications: no salt, yoghurt in the side, etc. Excellent service from start to finish. Quite buzzy on a Sunday afternoon
MoreFood was tasty but terrible service really soured the experience. Waited about an hour for our lunches as a party of four but it didnt seem particularly busy. Had to ask for the bill three times before it was brought to us 25 minutes later and no apologies given for slow service- just a shrug off. Was disappointing to see most of the waiting staff on their phones in the kitchen instead of being attentive. Such a shame because the food and atmosphere was really good.
MoreThe green smoothie is brilliant ! Probably would come back for the smoothie ~ food is good
MoreBloody brilliant. Lush coffees, excellent cocktails and the food is amazing. The staff are always so friendly and relaxed, banging soundtrack.
