Evies @ Spanish Point in Sarasota
Description
Excellent service by Christine and Jerry. The menu has a nice variety. Four of us all had different lunches and they offer a great happy hour. Nice views of waterfront.
MoreWeve been going here for a few years for drinks and our favorite appetizer: pulled pork nachos, which are usually great. But this last time, we were very disappointed, nachos are now cut up cubes of pork and not that great, drinks were so-so. Not sure if well be back again.
MoreBoated to this tiki bar. Excellent food, great service. (Forgot pics of foodnice vibe. Sports on tv’s. Recommend for a good chill tiki bar experience whether by boat or car.
MoreVery cool place to hang out. The shrimp tacos were great.
Had a great time at the Point! Food is great, had fun chatting with the waiter. I definitely will be back! Plenty of room to dock boats.
MoreGreat place, went for the luau, it was crazy busy, felt bad for the servers and bartenders. They really did work. It was the 5 th annual luau, seems it could have gone better but still fun. I saw people walk out on their tabs, just horrible people that were impatient.
MoreNormally a great place to watch sunset or just relax and enjoy a drink. The luau however is a mess, plan to wait an hour or more just to get a ticket for food, so disorganized and disappointing.
MoreNice place to just hang and have a few drinks and watch the sunset or even sit at a table with wait service and have some food. Very casual relaxing spot.
MoreHad a great time. Service was great!! Food was good.
They get 2 stars for the view. Food was mediocre at best. Lobster roll was horrendous, but the fries were good. Bloody Mary was store mix nothing special. Overall I wouldnt go back. Too many other places with better food and drinks.
MoreMy husband and I were excited to share a 1/2 burger and fries for a late lunch, only to be served 2 skinny, dried out patties that tasted like soy- infused non meat. However, our server did a nice job.
MoreBetween Dane being the best server Ive ever had, the amazing food, and the view, this place could not come more highly recommended. We met some incredible people here both trips in one week and will definitely make this a regular stop whenever in the area.
MoreThe Tiki staff are incredible! Alyssa, Owen, Nick, Heidi n Nicole are fantastic.
The Tiki is an excellent place to eat on the water. The views and atmosphere are top notch. As for our food, it was good. Nothing special to write home about but it was tasty. We didn’t come here for a signature dish, we came to eat on the water and The Tiki didn’t disappoint. I could have sat here all night watching the boats, rowers, and jet skis go by.We will for sure be back as it was a memorable dinner!
MoreLove the tiki bar! The restaurant and bar building also have some very nice views. Grouper sandwich was very good.
MoreAlyssa at the Tiki bar is one of the outstanding bar maids in all of Osprey. Really enjoy going there for her service and social contact.👍
MoreReally enjoy going here to watch the sunsets.Alyssa, our bartender was absolutely awesome. She is friendly, delivers your drinks as soon as you need them and makes you feel welcome.
MoreLove this place!!! All the bartenders are super nice!! The view is beautiful, especially at sunset. Always a good time. Grouper tacos are delicious. Alyssa was very helpful when we moved here.
MoreGreat atmosphere with live music. Nice outside dining experience. Service was great, but the food was so-so.Drinks were weak, had to send one back. Maybe it was just an off day, but I was not impressed with the food.
MoreCame here to launch kayaks. They people were super friendly. Rested at the Tiki Bar after the excursion and grab a beer and conversation with others hanging on the small beach.....
MoreOne of our favorite places to eat and drink. Service is great, very friendly and helpful. Tiki bar is a great place to end the day and catch the beautiful sunsets.
MorePhenomenal food and drinks! Great view and environment! Everyone likes it so pick your arrival time wisely!
MoreFirst off I want to highly recommend the bartender, Brett. That being saidThe kitchen is horrible. I ordered a Buffalo chicken salad. It came out with chicken that was so burnt it was not edible.Brett agreed and sent it back for a new salad.I will return for drinks NoT food
MoreAt first, I was skeptical because of the wait time from being seated to ordering drinks. That all changed. This place is a must. I dont particularly enjoy live music because its usually loud and obnoxious but the gentleman playing guitar today rocked it. The chips and salsa along with the fish dip are amazing. The drinks, from the peach tea to the summertime bucket were worth the money. The waiter, Dane, was great and deserves a raise! He was attentive and just a very nice lad.
Morewe’ll, despite some fits and starts this is a fun bar. music today was great. food was basic but pretty good other than i didn’t get onion straws. dang it.
MoreFood was good (not great/excellent compared to others). Prices high thats why its only 3 stars. Not a value for the money. We had the grilled fish grouper sandwich which came with only one side at $21.95. Can get comparable lunch/dinner for $17 with two sides.
MoreSeating and table area outside the bar area has plenty of room for improvement. Other than that, good pull up off the water spot to grab a drink. We didnt eat so I cant comment on food service or quality.
MoreLive music, great food, great service, and a nice yard area with tables and chairs to relax while waiting for a table. We arrived about 5PM on a Friday and only had to wait about 25 minutes for a table which was about exactly what the hostess had given as an estimate. Would be a beautiful place to watch the sunset but we arrived to early for that.
MoreFood used to be good, menu used to be better but the drinks are still solid. Save yourself the $18 and order a salad elsewhere, I promise itll be the same. The beach view is stellar though!
MoreVery limited menu in the outdoor tiki area. Had the grouper sandwich at market price which was $22...😲and if you order the fish and chips (which shud be listed on menu as fried fishdont expect the fries to come with your meal ($17unless you pick them as your side...so ridiculous
MoreJust stopped for a drink on 4/4 @ 220pm, the first bartender (femalewas rude and when I said I wasn’t sure what I wanted to drink she said “well find me when you’re ready” and walked away. Hey, how about offering me a drink menu. A tall guy took my order and was just as rude, I asked for a Heidi’s Coconut Margarita and he said “well I’ve never made one of those so we’ll see”. I am assuming he’s new, but I don’t get the rudeness. Makes you not want to support businesses like this. So many mediocre reviews and zero responses from management speaks volumes.
MoreGot there at 4:36pm on a Wednesday (Windy). No umbrellas allowed…yup we would wait for shade 3 of 5 sunburnt people from the boat. Text at 5:01pm…..and they tried to put us at the tables in the sun that we did not want earlier…..dumb….add a “spring break menu” totally not worth it. Now 5:40pm….no call no nothing. Will NEVER GO BACK to this place. Thank god we did not go by boat.
MoreThere is a bar on the water here and a multi floor restaurant... I had a bunch of folks with me amd we did the top floor. The view is spectacular! There is also a bar up there. I understand the beach bar does food too, donuts really up to you and what scene you want. The clam chowder is quite tasty, grouper and salmon dishes also quite good. Even the burger is very good. Great wines too! Next time I will bring my boat and dock it there !!
MoreSmall pricey menu. Terrible burger and fries. No ambience. Cheyenne has no personality as a server representing this business. Fish and chips were not good and a 2ounce soufflé cup of slaw...... come one for $19. The only good thing were tea and water refills. No manager present the hour we were there or we would have said something..... our server didn’t even come back to ask how the food was. Maybe she already knew. Anyway save your money and eat elsewhere.....
MoreFirst time here and stars are for our waiter, Andrew.Chicken breast that was in the Caesar salad was dry.Martinis are not worth ordering again. All in all a tourist location with a beautiful view.
MoreStopped here to watch some March Madness basketball. Casual open-air tiki bar with great sunset views. Staff is friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our time there even though our team lost.
MoreFood and atmosphere is unbelievable! Sunsets are gorgeous there..Boom boom shrimp taco rocks!Huge portion Fish n chips...the place for waterfront dining in Sarasota and that great 2 man band on Saturday playing crowd favorites....
MoreGreat view, decent food, a bit pricy for bar fare... but view and people watching makes it worth the trip!
MoreClassic Florida waterfront dining and tiki bar. The food is good, about on par with other local places. Great views and friendly staff.
MoreChicken nachos were super watery, not cheesy but the pretzel appetizer was good. Ordered the tikki margarita and it all mix and switched to wine. Sorry guys probably wont be back. But service was awesome and the veiw!
MoreNice view and really good food... I had the catch of the day- grouper blackened on a sandwich with sweet potato fries. One of the best parts was that I ate outside with my pooch.
MoreSeated under the Tiki Hut, Olivia was attentive, friendly, and refilled our Iced Tea and Arnold Palmer without delay. Jerk Chicken Basket with homemade apple slaw and old bay fries...YUM! Music by Marcel made the whole experience 5 Star! Will be back soon
MoreGot taken here by boat. Great place. Really nice staff, great chilled atmosphere with a live band playing. What a great spot
MoreGreat views. The food was served quick, the servers were pretty helpful. Burgers and Grouper sandwich were excellent. Good job Tiki.
MoreThis a great spot for a drink. The food is ok. They do not serve chicken wings and was told that their kitchen was too small. Spanish point cooked wings in that kitchen for decades without a problem. The bar was understaffed and the bar tender (who was greathad to make an announcement that she was the only one there making drinks and for everyone to be patient. They are building another structure for more restaurants and bars which is very exciting. Basically this is a great place with a great view and definitely a place you should check out while in Sarasota. Just dont expect the best food or service but hey, were on island time!
MoreWhat a great spot !!! Service was just as good as the food ! Dock hand was there to help dock and tie up. We all had the grouper sandwich and it was cooked perfectly and was delicious. There was nice music the Sunday lunch we were there. Highly recommended 😁
MoreHad a fun time last Saturday with bartenders Kristin and Brad! Love the live music on Saturday afternoons! We shared the Carnitas they were awesome!
MoreRain or shine, hands down, best place to go to!! Staff is FANTASTIC! They welcome you with a smile. Their NEW menu, has a little taste for everyone, portions are enough to take a doggy bag home!! If your lucky enough, you might catch entertainment there too!!
MoreGreat ambiance, friendly service. Live music. Cute place, great for sunset!Worst food!! Fish dip was so very fishy! Everything I had to eat there was awful!
MoreFantastic waterfront location, food was hit or miss. My fish tacos were served cold, my son said the fish and chips were just ok, but my husband said his grouper sandwich was really delicious. We had great service when we were there. The overall atmosphere was fun.
