Everest Nepalese and Indian Restaurant in Belmopan

One of the highlights of a business trip to Belmopan. The food was delicious, but what made it even better was Raj, who made us feel welcomed & part of his family. Absolutely beautiful experience!

Best Indian fare in Belmopan and not only for the food. Raj, the owner puts on an amazing show, loves to cook, loves to delight and celebrate the light in each of us. If you are lucky like we were, he will decorate you with colors and bestow wonderful blessings all over you. And then the food comes!

Raj and his wife were amazing. Their food was bliss. Their place was colourful and bright and their menu delicious. The freshly cooked food with herbs and spices was cooked to perfection. Truly an experience to enjoy!! Thanks and we will return!!

Im a vegan and I Stumbled across this place on accident and Im glad I did! Im the best vegan chef belize has to offer, so if I say its good, its good! The customer service alone and the ambiance is worth me doing a review. Very nice staff, wifi. And the aroma is fantastic. Glad to finally get to order from a place that truly understands my lifestyle and caters to it!

If you’re traveling in or through Belmopan, do yourself the favor of visiting Raj and trying his superb food!

Waited forever. Never got my food. Had to leave after 30 min and realizing that it would be another 30min at best

It’s incredibly rare to find a restaurant where they make you feel the centre of the universe and deliver some amazing food to go with it - Raj and his amazing wife fed us like kings and queens when they really didn’t have to and made us very happy and feel very special. Cannot recommend highly enough!

Beautiful experience . We were craving Indian food and have a vegan in the group this was heaven sent! So delicious and the hospitality was unmatched. A must try!

This was a unique and delicious meal, but read the other reviews about the price. I guess it was my fault for not asking, but in a country where meals range from 4-15$ per person, I was absolutely shocked when we got our bill and it was $100 US. Thats twice what I would pay for a meal in a very nice restaurant anywhere else in the world, and this is an outdoor "food stall" type venue in Belize. On a backpacker budget, that was 3 days worth of food for me. I feel that he saw us as Westerners and immediately targeted us.That said, the meal itself was unique and delicious and authentically Nepalese, with plentiful vegan options and ridiculously huge portions. Just get a price commitment before you eat. Raj has worked to build this up into a food destination, and he has some very fun dishes. Ask to try the Pan Masala at the end of your meal if you never have!

Very delicious food, Raj was willing to make us food specifically tailored for our taste buds! A great experience, extremely friendly man. Delicious chicken Masala. We got enormous platters of food. At the end the price was quite expensive, but we never did mention anything about our budget so I cant blame for that. Supremely vegan friendly. I strongly suggest you go, just check out prices before! Open late too

My first time here and they made me feel like its my 1000th I recommend you come here for a bite. They make you feel at home, good food for the right price, lovely (;

This place completely scammed us. Never showed us a menu and proceeded to bring us a ton of food we could not finish. Didnt have a fridge at our hotel so we had to throw away the leftovers anyway. I was very shocked when I noticed the bill was over $100 for the 2 of us for lunch as we never even asked for all the food he brought out to us. Took complete advantage of us. Not to mention the guy kept wanting to take a ton of pics of us to post on his Google photos.

Ive been to Nepal and India and this is the best food I have had since then. Exceptional food and an amazing experience. What a surprise to find this in Belize. Raj, thank you and your wife so much for serving our family.

Raj is a gem! Everest is located amongst other fast food places but honestly it is not a fast food restaurant. It is a diamond in the rough. Raj likes to serve family style so you feel as though you have been invited to his house for a meal. He and his lovely wife are so kind and will greet you with a friendly smile! He remembers me every time I come and I’m amazed he does because he must see so many people. You really taste the passion he has for his food. It’s a must stop when you are in Belmopan.

Everest Nepalese and Indian Restaurant prepares some of the best food in Belmopan and is better than many Indian restaurants Ive visited in the United States. Both the veg and non-veg options on the menu are excellent. Raj, the owner, is warm, kind, engaging, and makes you feel right at home. If you pass by Belmopan, Id highly recommend making a stop here to taste the incredible cuisine Raj has to offer!

Awesome chef, the owner is a wonderful person with a kind heart. The food was amazing if you are ever in Belmopan you must try Chicken Masala.

The food was super good, will definately come back and try out other Indian food. My fav drink was the mango lasse and masala tea. Thank you my love for taking me out for dinner.

The customer service is EXCELLENT and the food is just right❤️ Two people actually ate out of this food so it’s plenty. the chef is also Belizean 🥹 my first time trying Indian food and boy I’ll be back for more.You all should come by one day.

Raj makes you feel like you have been welcomed into his home and culture. We sampled a few menu items he suggested. Everything was full of flavor and really good. Cant wait to come back for more of that coconut curry!!!

Raj is very nice and welcoming. The food was great but definitely be sure to know what your paying for. We ordered butter chicken and biyani which we thought were 25 each and a mango lassi for 7. We somehow ended up with vegetables, potatoes, bread chai, we didnt order and a bill of 130. It appears as hes bringing them complimentary but they are not. Ended up being more than our dinner at Sleeping Giant. So pay attention in your midst of a good time.

First time at Everest. The service is super and the food is amazing. I recommend anyone to try. You will enjoy just as i did. Food is spicy and authentic.

I had a wonderful experience at Everest Nepalese and Indian restaurant in Belmopan. The owner put on quite a cooking show and he made the best masala chai Ive ever had. The butter chicken was delicious.

YOU ABSOLUTELY MUST GO VISIT RAJ! He is such an incredibly kind and entertaining person who makes reallllly good food. Dont be in a hurry when you go here. It was a great experience to be there at Rajs restaurant. He welcomed us with the colourful holi colours. Served us complimentary appetisers. And there was indian chai for everyone before we left. It was as if visiting a long lost friend in a far away land 😃.

Found this restaurant on the bus to Belmopan, I love Indian but it has been hard to find in Belize . We pulled up to the restaurant and the owner raj immediately welcomed us and gave us a customary tika face paint .. for prosperity at that moment. We were hooked ! . He was super generous and knowledgeable he let us sample some dishes and shared chai tea with us . We ordered and the food came out beautifully and plentiful . Great job recommend stopping here when in Belmopan

Amazing place that is vegan friendly! The hospitality is incredible and the food is crazy delicious. I love when they play traditional Indian music. I would highly recommend everyone to check out this place! You will leave with an unforgettable experience!

Excellent service, great space, delicious food, large portions.BE SURE to ask for prices before you order. The owner seemed to offer to make us whatever we wanted but we were shocked when he charged us $70 USD for two simple lunches of chicken biriyani, lentils and paratha.One star off for the pricing. Another star off for no yogurt sauce with our meal.

Amazing experience. Seriously super food. I have not had a good curry for 4 years since moving to Belize. We have just found this little gem, hidden away.

Amazingly delicious cuisine. Nice outdoor ambiance. Food is well prepared, served fresh and in nice portions. Great variety of vegetarian and non veg options. Vegan options also available upon request. We really appreciated how comfortable Raj made us feel, upon our first time dining here. We will definitely be recommending this to friends and returning for sure.

5 stars for sure!!! Raj and his food is all just the best food experience you could want! I HIGHLY recommend this place for everyone but kids especially would love the experience of this place! Not only is the food amazing, but Raj makes this an EXPERIENCE for his customers! He painted our faces in the color chalk, gave us a show with fire while he was cooking our meal, And even added a few extra items for us to try free of charge. He really aims to please his guests. It was my favorite place we ate in Belize and I have been telling everyone we’ve met on our trip to go here! This place will be one of our favorite memories from our vacation!

If you’re anywhere near Belmopan, you have to visit Raj at Everest Indian Restaurant!! We pulled up late in the evening and he happily seated us and fed us the most delicious meal—all while dancing, painting our faces, and making us feel like royalty! His kindness and skill in the kitchen are unmatched. We ordered butter chicken, chick tiki masala, mutton masala, garlic naan, samosas, and mango lassi. ALL delicious. To finish it off, he made us the best chai tea I’ve ever had. Still thinking about this meal and dreaming of another trip to Belize so I can come back and eat here!

The food is legitimate and authentic. Raj the owner showed me his spice garden and it couldnt be any more fresh and his technique really brings it all together. More than the food though, his enthusiasm and persona are what makes this food better than most, the level of care is what brings this gem to the top. Come hungry and leave with a story, its really good.

Food is incredible, super complex delicious flavors. Owner and chef is incredibly kind and welcoming. Started us off with a lovely chai and allowed us to try the dishes as he cooked them. Overall excellent experience, highly recommended!

Owner/chef Raj was such a positive spirit and made us feel so welcome and comfortable. If you are looking for an authentic experience that wont be daunting, this is the place to go. Very clean and well decorated. Food was amazing and the prices were very reasonable. You can tell that this business for Raj is more about the experience and not about the money. I would give more stars if I could.

If you are looking for a meal cooked from the heart, Raj from Everest is the man to turn too. From the moment he greets you with a Namaste to the time you leave with a happy belly, it is a unique experience. When we travel overseas, I generally stay away from Indian food because we eat it every day at home. However in Christmas Eve when Belmopan is almost shut down, we had to pick this quaint Nepali joint. Part restaurant part food truck but 100% comfort food made with so much love by a man who listens to great music as he cooks everything fresh with a smile. You can feel that love in the food and his service. Absolutely loved the entire meal experience. Wishing you success Raju!

We are so glad we made the effort to find this food stall in the Belmopan market. The chef was incredibly friendly and offered us tastings of homemade chutneys along with two servings of a very nice chai tea and gulab jamun. He charged us for one mango lassi but poured three servings. The food was perfectly seasoned and we left quite content. All the food was freshly made and we didnt wait too long for it as well. Also, the day we were there Everest began accepting credit cards. This was quite a memorable meal.

One of the best restaurant experiences I have ever had. Owner was going home and turned around and reopened. Made us an amazing dinner and had great conversation. Thank you.

Fabulous Nepalese/Indian food cooked fresh and from a big heart. Thanks to Raj we had a wonderful home cooked style meal whilst chatting the whole time and so made a new friend. Raj cooks dishes to order in authentic style with local ingredients. His place is lovingly stylised amongst other small businesses up a small, safe street across from the main market. Don’t miss it if you fancy a meal out in Belmopan!
