Friendly helpful staff. Perfect place for everything food plus drinks delicious, quiet peaceful best place in the Bay .
Website and maps says its open but its not, drove out there to be disappointed, update your website people.
Wonderful place. Enjoyed our day here. Also had lunch, the food and the coffee was excellent. The staff are wonderful.
Enjoyed a early bird walk which was organised via Eventbrite.
Nice views. Lovely walks. Nice to see how it is recovering from bushfires
Great place for a picnic, coffee or lunch in the cafe. Plants, art and books to purchase..
Rebuilt after the fires with some examples of the heat effects and devastation on display in the visitor centre and in the gardens. Great to see the forest recover. Good coffee in the cafe, variety of good stuff in the gift shop and a kangaroo or two on the lawn if you are lucky. No entry fee is a surprise so a donation is in order. Tap to donate would be good.
A beautiful small botanic garden with plenty of easy walks, places for children to play and a good cafe.
We enjoyed it here. It’s still recovering from major bushfires in 2019 but it’s still well worth a visit, especially to get your daily steps up on the well marked paths. There are some nice trees, shrubs and other plants and some lovely wetlands. Altogether it’s a very peaceful spot. The cafe here - Mossy on Gardens - is wonderful in its own right - the coffee and food are excellent - and the gift shop is terrific too.
Beautiful gardens with good access and a coffee shop. No entry fee
Not your typical Botanical garden. All Australian native so no European flora. The place is recovering after the fires. It would be a great place to take the kids to play on the swings and slides and have a picnic rather than seeing to the plants which can be found anywhere in the local region. Some kangaroos were around when we were there so that is cool. A good place is there is thats important to you. If you are a local worth a looks. If you are a tourist in a hurry Id skip it.
New operators at Cafe, lovely gift store usually featuring a local artist, fab play & family picnic area
Pleasantly surprised, large cafe, good walks, lots of wildlife, nice wide walking tracks
Wonderful cafe in a peaceful setting
Lovely botanical gardens, great place to grab a coffee or go for a walk.
Relaxing and fun for all ages. Cafe has good vegan options.
Great botanical gardens with many kids activities and tasty food!
Beautiful Botanical Gardens and bush, visitor centre Cafe, play ground, Australian native plants, creek and Kangaroos.
Small, but great garden. Really worth a visit if you love a nice walk around beautiful gardens.
Definitely worth a visit if your in the area. A few trails were closed but the playground is amazing. Kids enjoyed the unfurling workshop which was well run by very engaging and friendly staff.
Lovely, peaceful garden with great facilities. Most of it has been rebuilt since the bushfires.
Well worth a visit and walk around Easy walking and friendly paths for one and all Walkers etc. Great play ground for the younger generation Great setup to show four diffrent setup up for different types of gardens. Area coming together well Great to come back in a year to see more improvement and differnt areas set up Well done one and all
Visited on a wet day, still a lovely experience! Easy walking trails in all directions, great playground, and a beautiful cafe. Will be back.
Always a treat - the scones are amazing , and the coffee first rate.Run by friendly and efficient staff, the Botanical Gardens Cafe is a regular lets meet up spot

Delightful experience. The Cafe and gift shop are in a beautiful building in lovely surroundings. Great walks. Its come back so well after the fires.
Excellent gardens, always evolving with new designs and interesting Native plants. The burgers are absolutely delicious. Sundays lunch was a real treat with Birdsong and nature,. So enjoyable and relaxing. A great place for groups as well as couples. Thanks to the friendly and helpful staff. Loved the well-stocked souvenir shop 🤩
Beautiful spot, rebuilding itself after the bushfires. Great collection of native trees and bushes. Great little cafe and shop inside. Would definately recommend a visit if youre in the area.
One of the beautiful place for a weekend family picnic
Love Batemans Bay Botanic GardensRegrowing and Rebuilding After The Regions Black Summers Fires. Its the little Botanic Gardens That Can.Good Walking Tracks/Trails For The Casual Stroll Or Dedicated Walker. Seating In Shady Spots, Languid Kangaroo Population Hiding In The Nooks And Cranies
A delightful afternoon pucnicing with friends. The gardens are quite beautiful albeit they are still recovering from the 2019 bushfires with construction on some infrastructure still yo be completed. Giftshop is first rate with many thoughtfuk gifts available. Did not attend the restaurant on thus visit.
Worth a walk around. There is a nice playground for kids.
Beautiful setting in the bush, huge range of plants and a lovely cafe. The sound of frogs and birds was wonderful.
Really nice gardens. New cafe, & information centre after the fires from a year & a half ago. Very surprised how quick the new centre was built. Gardens & paths marked, lots of recovery happening with trees & plants, still parts being constructed, but really nice & enjoyable.
Enjoyed an hour or so here, easy to walk around wheel chair friendly. Amazing how the trees have come back after the fires.Stayed for morning tea, tempted by the fresh baked scones.
These gorgeous gardens get better every time! Staff have worked so hard on bringing the gardens back to their former glory, before the devastating bushfires, and their hard work is paying off. Each time there are new sections to explore. The cafe is also wonderful, I encourage trying the scones with jam and cream! Will definitely be back 😊
A devestating fire NYE 2019. Over 300 trees had to be cut down. But how the bush regenerates so quickly.Plenty of parking, great building housing information cafe toilets etc.The gardens are free, good kids amenities. Lovely food in their cafe.
This is very difficult to review as the place has been ravaged by bushfires. Entry is free of charge. I’ve not had the pleasure of visiting the gardens prior to fires so I don’t have anything to compare it with. I’ve uploaded quite a few pics for people to understand that there’s still so much beauty in this place. Unfortunately there’re many tracks closed, many signs and descriptors burnt. I believe people had seen Kangaroos prior to fires (not sure if anyone has seen since thenbut I did come across fresh Kangaroo poo. Visit this place on a nice day and take advantage of the large, quiet place. It’s also a good eye opener to the devastation done by New Years Eve bush fires. They also have a gift shop and a cafe
Nice gardens but suffered a lot of damage from the 2019/20 fires
An interesting spot but still bearing a lot of scars from the bushfire that hit it. Parts of its collection and some of the outbuildings are missing. Visitor Centre is nice with a very good cafe. An interesting childrens playground with some unusual equipment. Going to be a lot better as more work is done and plants recover. Still with a look if you like plants or just want a nice walk.
The Eurobodalla Botanical Gardens are phenomenal. Theyve clearly been affected greatly by the bushfires, but the walks are still lovely, their rebuilding/rejuvenation is going really well and the remaining burnt trees give a really poignant reminder about the brutal nature of Australian bushfires.Whats particularly amazing is their gift shop and learning spaces however. The electronic microscopes they have with bush samples (anything from quartz to gum leaves and preserved frogsare fascinating to look at for all ages. The gift shop is hands down the best gift store Ive ever been in. Every item there is fascinating, beautiful, good quality and most is sourced locally. Honestly, Id say its worth going to just for the shop if you need to buy souvenirs or presents, but do make sure you enjoy the lovely garden as well!
Staff very helpful. Gardens still recovering from the fires, so no bird life around at the moment. Its nothing spectacular, but it was free and it got the kids out of the hotel room! Nice newish playground. Cafe pretty over priced.
Although Im sure this place would be pretty nice normally, last years bushfires meant that a lot of the plants and trees burnt down. Many tracks were closed and it just wasnt that enjoyable.
I visited with my mother today about a year post-bushfire - and we came home with full-bellies (a delicious lentil burger), from such friendly, helpful staff in a beautifully designed restaurant/cafe. The lovel(iesHeather and Dawne were enthusiastic to answer all our questions, point out the beautiful locally-sourced souvenirs (I bought a bees wax thingy), mum got some lovely local plants and a timber board made by the local woodies. I had a tour of the beautiful conference space. It has stunning light and a great feel. There were some great artefacts of the bushfire - different melted objects and the temperatures they melt at (over 800 degrees for some - see picturesand an engaging kids corner with easy to use microscope that projected onto a screen. A nice little gem worth a visit.
Nice we walking tracks, kids play area and cafe .
Nice gardens that is just recovering from the fires. Great cafe and souvenir shop.
Nice (but very shortwalks. It seems to have been renovated recently. The bathrooms and restaurant are new.We did the two 2km walks...nothing very special but good enough. The signs were clear.I think it would be great for a picknick and it is very family friendly.
Just spent a wonderful day at the Eurobodalla RBG. Choice of many different walks through planned and natural settings. Very educational with signs and labelling of species. Limited Mobility access was well catered for. I could not believe that all these facilities were available with Free Admission. A credit to the organisation and its volunteers.
Nice place to stop and see. Native plants shop. Be careful of snakes!. We saw a black red belly snake next to the kids playground about 1.5 metres long. It followed a lizard and ate it. We also saw kangaroos jumping around.
Lovely place. Beautiful trails, lovely little cafe and friendly staff. Awesome play area for the kids. My daughter had a lot of fun
