30th August to 7th September We spent 2 nights in the four camps , camping . Wild life is great but the roads are in a poor state of repair as with the ablutions in all the camps . They are charging people up to NAD 65 for 5 litres of water . Will not be returning to this wonderful wild life sanctuary unfortunately .

You will see a lot of animals: zebras, steinbok, gazelles, impalas, wildebeest, coyotes, desert mice, lions, … and the list goes on. If you get lucky you will also see hyenas or a leopard. Having said that… there are a lot of cars driving around in this park. So it feels a bit like a free-roaming zoo.

Saw lots of animals, especially elephants. Camps relatively well maintained but some roads need urgent maintenance.

I was there for five full days. Its difficult to spot the carnivores (I just saw one group of lions, two events of solitary hyena and two events of solitary jackal). But the erbivorus are a lot and everywhere. The pan is amazing.

Saw many animals from the moment we drove in! The water holes make it possible to find them easily too. Plus stunning landscapes! Dont take a drone!

What is quite unique here compared to other game reserves we have visited is the low presence of bush. It is very deserty which gives you a great view on the open field even from the main road. That is why it is easy to spot lots of wild life here. I would even recommend selfdrive here - roads are good enough even for normal cars.

The wildlife this park has to offer is amazing! However the park is in really bad condition: some of the worst streets we had during our entire trip through the whole country! Also, You are not allowed to get out of your car except in designated rest areas, but these areas are poorly fenced and during our 2 day drive through the entire park and haven‘t seen a single bathroom being in use. A local guide also confirmed that park management seems to be really bad and just doesn‘t care.

Etosha boosts an incredible variaty of wildlife and really is worth visiting. The sad part is that most of the man made infrastructure is rundown and in a bad condition. The roads are terrible and really, take a toll on your vehicle. The few toilet buildings are in such bad condition that you practically cant use them.

We managed to see quite a few animals at the water holes and also throughout the park. The roads, unfortunately, were in a very bad state. Need more maintenance. Also, the only shop where one could buy snacks n stuff, was manned by a woman, having to write down and calculate each and every item purchased! This caused for many unnecessary delays! That’s going back 50 years! Surely they can install a till.

Amazing place with loads of animals roaming free, self drive available in park, make sure you book your accommodation. Some of the roads are not the best and can take longer to get places than anticipated.Rhino, elephant, big cats. Tours available via lodges. Great place to visit if looking for wildlife

Staff here are friendly. Game is plentiful and sunset views will also leave one in awe. This is a place that is different to the rest of Southern Africa and definitely worth a visit at least once.

Most people have no idea how it feels to own a Lion, and have it care so much about you, just because you took care of it since it was born. Yes we have plenty wild life back at home, and everyday Im so happy to remember that I own a pride of lions today in my legitimate name. I never wanted to be born into a royal family, but my fate had already been decided. But everyday Im so happy to be in a foreign country where no one knows that Im Queen to be. Finally I can breathe, and now that I have a King, WE WILL RISE. See you in Namibia in 2024.P.S. Please take care, im coming back soon.Yours sincerelyThee Last True Queen 👸🏽 ❤ 🙌 💖 💕

Maintenance is abysmal. Camping hopeless. Abolition not sanitary. The wildlife is still here, but value for money gone in a chase for euro travelers in rented 4x4s.

Loved my time in Etosha but the ablution facilities are in desperate need of an upgrade. Special mention must be made of Michael at Halali camp who, along with some helpers made new brackets for my roof top tent which broke on the rough roads.

Incredible experience. I visited during the dry season and the water holes (particularly in the West end of the parkwere teaming with animals. Lions, giraffes, zebras, elephants, jackals, Rinos, 20,000 Springbok, and more. Campsites were more basic than privately owned sites, but serviceable.

The animals are the stars of course but park admin could do so much better. Buy a tractor and leveling bar and sort the horrendous ruts on the roads. Have a hand out sheet at the gate with animals expected and quick bio with a "seen" checklist. Actually put on the paper on the way in that you pay at admin and not gate as they said. Get an app going that the guides access which give live updates of what animals are at what holes. Give a map out at the gate. Etc etc etc

I have always loved Etosha. It is really one of the best wildlife destinations, but its just a pity that hardly no maintenance gets done in Etosha. The roads are in a very bad state and the camps and ablutions are not in a good condition.I also dont understand why they need rude and unwelcoming police personnel at the gates. At least put people there who are trained and understand the value of tourism.

ETOSHA will always have a special place in our hearts. We were spoilt by happening upon two lions feasting on a giraffe, right next to the roadside this time round. Love each and every visit, it feels like home!!

National Park in Namibia where you can go on safari driving your own vehicle. Organized park and full of animals. I visited 2 times and we saw almost everything... Zebras, Elephants, Orix, Lions, rhino, wildebeest, jackals, Giraffes and the last time we got to see a Leopard in full action. Fantastic experience, highIy recommended.

My husband and I had a lovely time in Etosha. I suppose your experience would depend on why you are going. If you compare it with Kruger National Park, the game viewing experience is just as great, if not better. Tons of lions, hyena, oryx, zebra, springbok, elephants and the other regulars around Okaukuejo. Fewer animals around Halali, but ran into some black rhino there. Regarding camp sites Okaukuejo is probably the neatest and fanciest. Etosha is very expensive if you are a SADC resident, much more expensive than KNP. Chalets are neat and comfortable. Kiosks and curios shops not very well stocked but that may be due to COVID... Overall, if your budget allows it, I would definitely recommend a trip to Etosha!

The park itself is great, amazing animals and a great place to become one with nature. However the lodges and accommodation within the park is horrible! No service, limited activities and overall quality very low. Will not recommend anyone to stay within the park rather make use of private lodges located outside Etosha.

The campsites are complete, have water, electricity, hot water, clean bathrooms, markets, etc. In the park we saw almost everything, lions, giraffes, zebras, antilopes, elephants and all kinds of birds and insects. I advise you to do at least four days of safari, in my case it was an auto safari that went super well I was three days but one more had been great.

A great privilege to see so much wildlife. This wildlife park if different and beautiful and really its just fantastic. We saw all the wildlife we wanted to see and more, yet we only spent one day in the park. With easy to navigate maps and regular picnic spots this is a good one to self drive but you need a 4x4 vehicle. All round a great experience.

One of the most beautiful national parks in Namibia. Unluckily there wasnt as much wildlife as I thought there would be and its extremely dry here. The campsites are pretty expensive and the staff is rude which is sad, I think this is because the park is a little to much touristic. Anyway worth a visit.

Breathtaking. Tons of animales. I was here in 2019, a year of terrible drought, and even so I got to see s great variety of animales, including a playfull lion family.A note for the park: a little maintenance on the signs and toilet stations would make things easier.

Visiting this park is an awesome experience. If you want to see animals in their completely natural habitat, this is the place to do it. I spent about 18 hours on the parks roads over the course of two days and had a great time. I recommend buying the park map and animal identification guide from one of the gift shops at the camps.
