Airy, modern self-service cafe offering creative meat-free buffet dishes from breakfast to dinner.
It is a very nice restaurant/cafe compared to neighbouring establishments Yet the quality of food is poor. From the perspective of price, looks and taste, this nutty noodle definitely don’t deserve the good ratings. It was very bland, and I have to add a whole packet of salt and 2 whole packet of pepper to able to swallow this plate of noodles. I understand you might be going the “healthy-eating” route for your business but I hope you should have some seasoning for it then it would be helpful.I know you could not serve your food properly when this covid-19 condition is still here but please don’t pack it when it is boiling hot because when I opened the lid of the food box, all the ingredients sticked together like a ball because of the steam. Looks wise is already a minus.I think there is room to improve as I remember your place was good before Covid-19. Keep it up. Thank you.
Gorgeous restaurant, great selection of vegan foods... I definitely recommend going there outside of rush hours for a quiet breakfast or tea time.
Stumbled across Ethos purely as we were desperate for food. Arrived just before the lunch service so got to see the amazing spread of freshly prepared food. Would recommend getting down just before lunch service and grab a seat, even better book ahead. Its a self service lunch and out meals worked out around £12 each for a decent amount of food.
Amazing variety of veggie dishes, and all delicious. Only downside is it is a bit pricey, and the decor is cute (but a bit gimmicky). Gets really busy during lunch hours
Fantastic food! Pricey, yes! Great treat. Loved the grilled Aubergine in miso sauce, daulphinoise potatoes, couscous and vegan slaw. The carrot cake was the only moist dessert on display at dinner. The hazelnut cannoli were lovely too.
Vegetarian buffet best ever. After a long day shopping I had the best dinner at Ethos. The food was so tasty and healthy. I would definitely recommend Ethos if you are visiting Oxford circus in London.
Wed arranged to meet at Ethos Foods, a vegan cafe nearby and once Id gone entirely the wrong way we eventually met up. She ordered herself crepes for breakfast and it would have been rude to make her eat alone so I had buckwheat pancakes. These were delicious and I am such a glutton it was a great effort to restrain from having some of the delicious looking brownies they had too. Service here was lovely too, a very happy and helpful girl and it was an enjoyable experience.
Great gluten free choices and all vegetarian. I had pancakes. Sadly theyd run out of banana and could have done with a bit more maple syrup.
Lovely place. Though not entirely vegan, most of the dishes, almost 90% are vegan. Nice, tasty and healthy food. A bit pricey but it is a high-end place in a very central location. Definitely worth visiting, I recommend it. You pay by weight. I mixed a lot of things on the plate but was most happy because they had okra dish, which was yummy.
Obscene prices. Im used to sky high London prices but I feel compelled to write a review after I was charged £26 for a SINGLE plate of vegetables (the plate was not even full)... daylight robbery
Awesome vegetarian restaurant! Heaps of vegan options for food with cider or sparkling as the drink, with loads of options for lunch! You can only fill up your plate once in the deal we got but it was more than enough! We had Tamas look after our table for the afternoon and he was excellent! He had lots of friendly tips for travelling in the EU!
This has to be the best Vegetarian / Vegan Restaurant in London.Visit each year that me and my Hubby are down in London and such good food. The Sketch Eggs are so amazing was a little upset this September that did not have the halloumi cheese cubes please bring them back.It does get busy as Lunch time so might be a good idea to book ahead as we did.You will need to take your plate to the counter and what you pay is based on the weight of your plate.
Lovely place and great atmosphere. Buffet type place and vegan food available. Bit over priced but food is delicious
Overall alright...really nice place but variety wasnt that great and the food looked like it had been sitting on those plates for the whole day. Maybe more of a lunch place rather than dinner
Awesome vegetarian buffet, choose and pay by weight. Many vegan options. Vegan desserts as well. Nice atmosphere.
Really really good, solid options and nicely presented for a buffet. Forget what you usually think for a buffet style place, this is ultra clean, no mixing and very interesting dishes.I’d recommend it in a heartbeat. The prices are fair, you pay for the weight of the food, so it’s up to you. I paid £7.80 for varied a plate of healthy food, it tasted amazing and I was full.
Organic and vegetarian food. Tasty Buffet menu. The venue is a bit noisy though. A
The variety of food served there was really good! You can pick the food at common place and then you go weight your food and pay! So if your a small eater and love variety this is just the place for you! By the way it’s a vegetarian restaurant! It was spacious and a nice place to dine. The dessert section looks really really yummy!! Had a hard time picking which to try. Highly recommended!
Such a delicious wholesome vegan breakfast. Had the scrambled tofu with seitan sausages, avocado, mushrooms, spinach and beans. Worth every penny.
A great place for vegetarian and vegan food lovers in central London, not far from Oxford Circus.Tempting selection of starters, mains and desserts and... you pay by weight!
Really cool place to eat. Both healthy and versatile. Great deal with the Entertainer app.Can be a bit difficult with picky children, but all grownups will find a lot of good food to eat.Great dessert assortment. Clean toilets and nice staff.
A posh salad bar with a grande selection of vegetarian dishes. We came for lunch and it’s buffet style, charge by weight. Lunch costs between £10-12 for a good portion of food. Everything was delicious and fresh. A good casual lunch spot near Oxford Circus
Great vegetarian buffet! We were surprised by the variety. Its also less expensive than you think... The plate in the image cost us around 10 pounds. Also they have a wonderful warm fireplace which is cosy when its cold outside.
I live Ethos. Unique well executed Vegetarian concept restaurant. Self service buffet but at a very high standard in a lovely setting. Highly recommended for any vegetarians seeking food Nirvana in Central London
The restaurant looks amazing and has plenty of space for couples, groups, etc. The food is paid by the kilo and is not very expensive (this plate was £13). The food is very well prepared and a good experience even for those who dont just eat vegetarian.
This is a really great plant based option in centra London. It’s self-service and pay by weight so it could be a bit pricey. For me it was worth it for good quality veggie options which include beetroot hummus and brassicas. The staff were friendly and the food was fresh. I also had a matcha latte with almond milk which was ok.
For a buffet style venue, the food is actually pretty good. The place is clean and I find the pricing fair (versus Tidbits). Their desserts are super yum! Perfect place for people with food allergies.
I love this place, have visited many times. It’s literately food heaven for vegetarian, even my non vegetarian friends enjoy as much as I do! Reasonable price, cozy atmosphere, yum food... couldn’t ask for more ;)
Fresh, hearty selection in a buffet style. Great location and great atmosphere. I’m here for the vegan food and I enjoy it. Vegan desserts selection can be improved as it feels all the good ones are non vegan.
Good food, a bit pricey. Better value for money options available nearby. However, the concept is interesting and staff were welcoming and friendly. Plenty of options available for vegetarians, not too sure about Vegans. If you have a special occasion Id recommend this restaurant. However, if looking for an everyday Chow down head to a cheaper option.
I loved my visit to Ethos. The service was very good, staff friendly and the variety was good. Im vegan and there were a lot of vegan options. We also had desert and a delicious coffee.
I appreciated the vast vegeterian/vegan options available, but alot of them are fried/cold dishes. I paid around 12£ for my dish and it was enough for a quick meal.
Incredible food, tasty fresh and all vegetarian! The only issue was that the food wasn’t ready . You’d think a self service restaurant would be ready for opening time, particularly if there are bookings. We waited 20 minutes, then all was ready and soon our hunger was history.
I ate one plate with many unique food. Paid £10.5 for one plate and paid £3 for a big cookie. There are a lot of food options including salad, savoury and desert. All very tasty. I like the sweet potato falafels and aubergine the most. However, some food such as cous cous looks dry and not appetite. There are any gluten free and dairy free options for savoury and salad, but not many gluten and daily free options for the desert.
Amazing food and great concept! It was slightly on the expensive end for a weighted buffet but everything was delicious and interesting. A great place for anyone who underestimates vegetarian options.
This place is an amazing celebration of meat free eating! Beautiful decor and friendly staff. Dinner for two came to £40 we ate three plates between us and two drinks.
Ethos is a great meat-free self-service restaurant with tasty food options. You choose what you eat and pay by weight. Good place for lunch, brunch and dinner. When going for dinner they offer table service but you still need to get the staffs attention.
It was my first time and I loved it. I am not a vegetarian, however the variety of food and the idea that you plate what you want to eat it was a great idea. Next time would definitely try afternoon tea. The decorations also are breathtaking too. Staff we very friendly too. Well done everyone. Thank you and see you soon. Highly recommended 🙌🏾💕
I enjoyed my meal in this interesting interior, however, I am quite particular about the food I eat and while there is a good selection, I found some of it too heavy. There are some deep-fried dishes and other ones are made with quorn, which I would not consider healthy. To my disappointment, some of the cakes listed trans fats on the ingredients list..The prices are what you pay in central London.
Ethos food is an amazing place to have a quick lunch or take away. They have all kind of foods: dairy free, gluten free, sugar free, vegetarian and vegan! For this plate I paid 15£ and I was really full afterwards, so it’s defenitially worth the money! The waiters are very sweet and helpfull. They keep on refilling the food all the time, so when they’re running out you don’t have to wait very very long, till they get more of the food again.
Very impressed with the lovely interior decor and the food. Good variety and really tasty. It’s an upmarket self-service cafe. I love being able to choose what I want on my plate, but I don’t understand why one would need to pay more for self service.I big yummy plate of food came to £20. Which is enough to have a meal anywhere. But I can’t fault the food.Do give it a try yourself.
The best restaurant experience Ive ever had! The food is beyond delicious, and the best part is - you can put as much as you want on the plate! Make sure to try their desserts too, cheesecake is to die for. And top it all of with a coconut milk chai latte. If youre shopping in Oxford Street, make it your priority to stop for a bite at Ethos!
The food was good, but not as good as I was expecting. I was expecting more vegan options, but there was a good sweet potato dahl and hummus. The cupcakes and chocolate bomb were nice but a little dry.
My work college discovered this venue. I passed by and I wondered about the coffee range. the main thing here is lunch and dinner, but I was welcomed just for a cup of coffee. It feels like a good place to have a chat and chill. Ill come back for the pastry. Vlad.
Careful on getting heavy items! Really great concept especially for those who never finish portions. Fantastic lunch spot. Just a little pricey for me and I didnt take a lot to eat. Ridiculously welcoming staff.
Very good veggie burger with vegan and gluten free options. We missed the lunch buffet, so the burger was the only hot choice and was excellent. Cakes are also delicious.
Nice food and excellent atmosphere. Open buffet, payment according to the weight of your plate 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻I love this system 😉
This is a very trendy concept restaurant set in the heart of London, you grab a plate and fill it up. There is so much variety, the service was friendly and the interior was beautiful. I couldnt praise this place enough, a fantastic night out.
Amazing food and always great selection in cold and warm food. I can also recommend the cakes and teas. Reservation at peak times (I.e. brunchare recommended.
Amazing vegetarian and vegan food buffet food. Was sceptical initially because my experience with buffet food is usually mediocre quality and cheap, but Ethos serves a great range of delicious food - (and Im not even a vegetarian or vegan). My plate weighed more than expected but I think the price was worth the quality. Staff are helpful and attentive. Interior design and atmosphere inside is beautiful. Can definitely come here casually with friends, on a date or even an occasion, as there are larger circular tables for bigger groups. They have a great range of fresh juices and smoothies, as well as wines.
