Ethnographic Museum of Kruja - Ethnographic museum in Burrel, Albania
Closed. I wonder why they couldnt wait to do some work in the low season.
Great Museum. Good way to display the history of albania and also some historic artifacts. If you scroll down you can see old pictures on the ratings but trust me. After EU investing together with albania the museum is made all over looking modern but also ancient very attractive to the sore eye. I recomand 100% to stop by and visit the place!
Didnt get to go inside as it is shut for refurbishment until around October 2022.
Must visit
🇦🇱
Very amazing place ..here you can smell history
Interesting I found a old singer sewing machine too there. Its the same model that my grandmas has. It works absolutely fine.
Small but amazing museum, definitely worth visiting when exploring the Krujë Castle. Its an interesting peek into a daily life of Ottoman family. The whole house is preserved and every room looks very close to how it was back in the day. You can see historical Ottoman kitchen, living room, bedroom, hammam, different workshops (wool, wine, rakja, tools...)There was a guide inside who was very kind and helpful and immediately told us many interesting facts about each room. Theres also an information board outside in many languages, even Czech (my language).Overall a great experience, highly recommended!
Place of historic significance. Very well presented with a guide spontaneously giving context to visitors walking around. Recommended to everyone visiting Kruja. Much better experience than the more frequented Skanderbeg museum next door.
Niewielkie ale ciekawe muzeum, które pozwala wyobrazić sobie jak wyglądało kiedyś lokalne życie. Dla siebie znajdą coś zarówno starsi jak i młodsi.
For the landscape you can visit it.
Good historical place and Views of City are good from Castle area..
Small, but very interesting exhibition of clothes and everyday life in Albanian house. Staff speaks English and Italian. Exhibition covers clothes from various parts of Albania, clothes of bride and groom, women room, men room, kitchen, family room, hammam and some workshops. Interesting and short enough to visit with kids.
A very well kept and annotated example of a wealthy Albanian life in the past. Has an incredibly knowledgeable and friendly guide working there! Worth a visit. 400 lek as of july 2021
I will say best museum in Albania to visit. Exterior is classic, showing old traditional house of Kruja. But I will say interior is more beautiful and classic. What a wonderful way of showing traditional way of living, and showcasing their cultural dresses, seating arrangements in house, wonderful. On ground floor are more storage spaces and working showrooms like how they were used. On upper floor is the arrangements of a typical house settings. Every item at display is beautiful, and guide explains it in very intersection way. Guide is very nice man, he can speak in Italian, French, Spanish, English and Albanese languages. Must visit place and 100 % recommended.
History place
Statistically the most visited museum in Albania. Beautiful interior and exterior. Chronologically arranged objects followed by guide. A must visit place.
Nice place
Nice museum
I couldnt breathe in Kruja. I was here two years ago and it has changed drastically and all for the worse. The factories have polluted the air you need a gas mask on.
Typical old Albanian House to the smallest details.
Great historical place
Great museum. Fabulous artifacts.
Wonderful accounting if the history there
Very authentic and well preserved. Good English descriptions.
Very cool museum, facts not all in English but very cool to see all the old castle history. The bathroom is a Muslim bathroom so be prepared to squat :)
Nice exhibition.

Fantastic
interesting little museum, with very beautiful exhibits (sometimes very impressive... old as the olive tree was also preserved 😍

One of the best place to visit where to get and find out what happened here as a war. A hill where dominate the passages and great museum to visit.
