Esquina El Watusi in San Juan

Visited PR from Boston and an Uber driver recommended this place ! It’s unreal at night . People on the streets just drinking and having a good time . It’s not in the best part of town but still safe with everybody there . We are SUPER safe travelers and we liked it there

We stayed 2 weeks in PR, travelled all around and Watusi is by far the best best place to visit. Come for the staff with amazing memory and their service, the chairs on the road/view of community, delicious rum, street music and bbq chicken under an umbrella if lucky. 🤩🤩

I was visiting my Puerto Rican friend and she told me about this place. I couldnt picture why it was special when she described it to me : they serve cheap alcohol, nice local spot, and you drink in the street. I instantly understood when a got there. Its all about this indescribable vibe. I love local spots ❤️

Great place to hang out,great music and a lot of places to eat, the are is cover by local art depicting local Puerto Rico singers various types of bars and restaurants.

To all the black community of the USA who visit Puerto Rico. This is our place. This is BLACK LIVES MATTER territory. In some restaurants they even give us free drinks in the name of George Floyd. Forget La Placita in Santurce. This is the place for us.

Immersed on Santurces Tras Talleres area, this bar is located inside "Santurce Es Ley" districts heart. If you want to visit a place with great atmosphere, lots of booze, and the opportunity to appreciate some local music history and urban art, this is your option.

Went on a Thursday. Great drinks, good price, live music, young crowd. I met this very nice girl in the bathroom line so, feels like home lol. The little food vendors.. omg. So great after a night of drinking

A "chinchorro" in the metro área. You can enjoy the puertorican culture live. Excellent night life where you can sing and dance at puertorican rhythms on the middle of the street while you enjoy the happiness of the island. A bucket list place to visit on Puerto Rico.

Really fun place. It’s on the edge of some high crime areas. Don’t go wandering around on foot at night.

My fiance and I stumbled upon this place... what a great Puerto Rican experience! Lively music, great bartenders, and a party in the street!!! Oh, the drinks are phenomenal... made with fresh fruit juice. If you are planning a trip to San Juan, put this on your list of things to do. Watusi wont disappoint.

Loved the location, found this place because I was at El Nie and decided to walk around the neighborhood. Partied there late night on a Sunday and enjoyed a lot, nice sized crowd. It was a party in the street basically and had the same vib as La Placita. Lots of fun, all positive vibes and energy, friendly people, great prices and they sell chichaito :)$6 Uber from Ocean Park, local crowd, I felt very safe.I’ll definitely go back, especially if it’s a Sunday and I’m entertaining guests who come to town.

Great bar with cool jangouts particularly on thursdays when you can enjoy typical PRican music, plena!! They offer natural juices for mixing with spirits and beers are usually on-point-cold. The bar is really small, so most of the jangout occurs in both the streets that surround it, but its still pretty busy among locals. No parking, except on the streets nearby!

Lots of fun late at night drinking in the street with everyone else. Priced reasonably and the staff is quick and friendly. Relaxing and electric atmosphere. On street parking only, but you will find a parking spot if you look for a bit.

Want a real San Juan nightlife experience? Wednesdays = live music and salsa dancing in the streets, its incredible. Come have fun, enjoy inexpensive alcoholic beverages and nice people. My wife and I had a blast

Lots of fun, lots of music, and partying, however it is not the best part of town. Even though the people here are nicer then any other country.

If you want explore and feel street culture...this is a place you must visit on Th or Fr night.

If I lived here this would be my spot. Its a street party at night. Live music, amazing murals, good rum, and a woman with a cart full of fresh street food! People hang out, talk, dance, it is everything! They even take Venmo if your low on cash.

Busy, Busy, Busy! Almost impossible to get a drink, but if you want to have a blast come here a dance some Bomba and Plena Rhythms.

Excellent for drinks and meeting new people. Good music. Dancing in the street. Next door is a very interesting museum. Overall a great time.

I personally love this place because I’ve been coming here for about 5 years now. Great ambience, live music on Thursday night and best of all... cheap drinks and nobody messes with nobody. Come early if you want to grab a good parking space.

This was a really cool place. There was live music and plenty of entertainment. Felt more like a local hangout than a tourist trap.

A true neighborhood corner bar that turns into a hot spot to gather and drink at night. Thursday nights are one of the best nights :)
