Escher Déierepark - Animal park in Wittlich, Germany
Kids love it and can get some free animal feed to feed the animals!
Good place to visit with children, dog-friendly, very clean area, free entrance.
We had only 7h in Luxembourg, we put this on our must see sights and it was well worth it! Feeding a big variety animals was a lot of fun, friendly and informative staff and all for free! Definitely recommend to everyone!
We had so much fun feeding the animals and playing on the little play grounds. The children loved it. It is free entry and if you are there at around 9am you can find parking very close to the park.
What a lovely animal park, with nice playground, this place is ideal for kids.
Very nice place to bring kids to as it has many interactive attractions and it also has underground tunnels just for them to explore. It is also pet friendly so if you have a dog you wont have any problems. Unless they like to bark at other animals.
Free entry. Nice place for an afternoon visit, especially if you bring kids, because there are some funny places for them to go through like tunnels.
Not big, and no special or exotic aninals, but it is free and I just love the way the place is set up and decorated, with the treehouse café and the treetopwalk-tunnel loads of fun for kids.Nice to see thst the animals are not impressed by a dog showing up at their fences. Our dog loved to watch the animals especialy the Guinea pigs who went on their business as usual.
This place was incredible! We visited with our two animal loving kids on a business trip. The park is lovely, mostly flat, extremely clean and even stroller friendly. My biggest/only complaint is that the directions from google took us to the wrong place. The animals are friendly, the cafe is really cool and my kids loved it. The signs are kind of tricky when you enter but if you go to the visitor center first you can get free food to feed the animals.
Great place for kids, interesting small tunnel for kids to pass by.Small play area as well. No entry Fees.Improvement : please add proper address on google, it was difficult to reach with navigation.
Good place to visit with kids....free bus service available from Esch-sur-Alzette bus stop.
Wonderful place, lovely staff and well worth the visit
Very nice little park. Free entrance. There is place where you could find a bags with food for the animals.
Beautiful park, amazing bosque. The little wood houses are just the children to play, but beautiful aesthetic, like a fairy tale.
Good for a walk, baby/kids to play around.Half day is enough, but can also spend a day with picnic program
Really great outdoor animal park, spacious, very clean and well-kept. Free entrance, always open.
Nice place to go out with the little ones, its free no entrance fee, kids can see the animals, have a play as there are a few play areas and enjoy the walk through the woods also.
Free of charge little Zoo with raccoons, deer, horse, geese, birds, etc. Romantic and fun with on-site café
Small but still worth visiting, especially with family and kids. The Escher Deierpark is in good condition/clean and easy to access.
Very nice place to visit for kids, the park is open 24/7 free entrance near-by a camping place.Theres also a possibility to go hiking on trails in the park.
Incredible place to enjoy nature and animals. Between Monday and Friday it is possible to feed some animals. My daughter loved it! And the entrance to the zoo is free!
This is a free public park in Esch-sur-alzette atop Galgeeburg hill. There is a Galgeebus running from Esch Gare that can take us to the park. It can be reached by car or walk as well. The walk takes about 40 mins from Gare via a steep path. The park is surprisingly well maintained and has good animals and facilities. Animal feed can be collected for free from the restaurant in the trailer park just before the entrance. All the goats, deer and the bulls can be fed by hand which is the main attraction of this park which the kids and grown up like. There are small play areas for kids which are cleverly integrated with the animal enclosures.A must visit multiple times if youre in the visinity.
Incredible hidden gem. You would pay for an experience like this in other countries. Animals seem well looked after and the paddocks are large. A great half day out if you bring a picnic or go to the cafe.
Peaceful, clean, fun, fresh place to be, alone, with friends or with family 😍
A very good place to spend time with kids. Take your time atleast 2-3hrs . Slowly and thoroughly enjoy the place. Take your buggy or stroller when u have toddlers especially!
Very nice family friendly park. There are several take aways and cafe inside. My kids enjoyed feeding the animals. Consider that you need to walk from parking area a quite long ramp to reach the park.
So nice! A must see when your visiting Esch & it doesn’t even cost a cent. My personal highlight: Racoons - never saw them in real life.
Lovely family activityLong hard hill to get up to reach the place but its worth the walk. The place has a little snack hut which is great For a Sunny warm day. Sometimes the grounds are a bit Rocky for buggies but its doable. The place is well maintained.
Very cool, specially for kids =love it 😀
Very nice place to take your family for an outing. The food for animals can be obtained free of charge (limited supply). There are plenty of interesting animals to be seen like racoons, highlanders, ducks, geese, parrots and many birds, ...The park also has a wonderful wooden bridge that turns into a tunnel ends up going underground. Its is a lot of fun for the kids. The bridge also offers a nice view of deer, goats, and more. The treehouses also look like a lot of fun, but unfortunately we couldnt explore them during the pandemic.
Free park with a variety of animals. It’s a surprisingly steep walk up from the city. Be prepared if you have limited mobility!
It is a free, wonderful open parc with lots of amazing things that kids can explore. Very good choice to spend the weekend there, cant wait to come back!
Excellent animal sanctuary. Great hike up the hill. Free entry. Crepes and hot chocolate from the stand. Activities for the little ones. Theres even wifi.
Such a nice place to escape from city lifes. There are horses, guinea pigs, bisons, etc. This place becomes of my favorite places on the south of Luxembourg.
A really nice place to spend the afternoon with the kids. There are some animals like geese and some deers, very nice for the little ones. Also there is a coffeehouse looking like a treehouse, which looks amazing. We went there on a rainy day and still enjoyed it.
Awesome place to visit with kids. Only 20 mins from the Luxemburg city. We had a very nice time here and kids were excited. Its approx 10 mins walk through the forest from the parking place to the Tierpark. Quite some attractions for kids. The highlight for us was the visit of the Baumhaus restaurant. The staff was very friendly. We were sitting outside on a balcony. We went for juices, coffee and cakes. All was good. All thumbs up. Definitely recommended as a 1/2 day trip.
Very nice parc with a variety of animals and the best is that it is for free. They even provide you free food for the animals in small bags which are available at the entrance of the annexing Camping or in the entrance zone next to a small playground. It is not suited for city-strollers.
It was gloomy Saturday when I visited this place but there’s quite lot of people. From the parking place we took the ride of horses carriage (dunno the proper wordor we can actually hike little to get there. There was already a mini Christmas market with mini ice skating place for kids. The people there were really friendly. It’s fun to visit this place but I kinda sad to see the animal in cage :(
A lot of efforts are made to make it child AND animal friendly
Very well organized, free of charge. Really good for children that will enjoy it a lot. Personnel is pleasant and collaborative. A nice walk through the park to reach it, can be slightly challenging, if you are pushing a stroller.
Its quite small and on top of a hill - you have a bit of a climb from the car park, BUT - its for free and you get free snacks to give to the animals. Some nice play areas for kids older than 4 years.
Amazing place especially for kids. Free entrance
We spent a night in a treehouse and the experience for the kids was great. Be aware that it can get hot inside on a hot summer day. Breakfast buffet was flawless great local products.
Great day out for the whole family. Feeding the animals is such a great fun and the whole park was very well attended. Recommended 😊
Loved all the animals! Nice forest around for a walk, too!
Wow! what a fantastic place to spend the day with children!
This park has improved drastically since 2013, I was super impressed. Its great, they have free feed for the animals and a little tree-house cafe, which wasnt horribly expensive. Overall, it was really great. There is even a shuttle from the lower parking.
It is worth a 4.5 stars. Its free entrance, uniquely situated among trails and bike routes. No fancy animal, but the ones kids love and can feed. The facilities are good, a nice picnic spot at southeast corner and a cafe with mesh tunnels for kids to claw in...interesting design. Currently its under some construction, and parking is a bit difficult especially in the afternoon.PS. Google Maps does a horrible job navigate to this place. The north road is one way but Google doesnt know, you need to drive from the stadium, Stade "Fola Esch"
Nice small Park with few Animals. It,s free of charge ans in the middle there is small restaurant. Thé only minus is small parking place.
Small zoo with quite big variety of domestic and wild animals. Free entry. No toilets.
