We did the Absolute Annihilation package in the MMA smash room. It was definitely much needed and we had an amazing time.

My first time being in a escape room. It was really fun!

We booked the Camped Out escape room while in town. Our party ranged in age from 38 y/o to 5 y/o. We booked this particular room so the younger kids could participate and we had a blast. The puzzles were fun and we made it out. We had a blast. I’d highly recommend for groups with younger kids.

Best escape rooms in town. High tech, fun, well designed, and challenging! If you are choosing between these rooms and others in town- I’d hands down pick these! We’ve done every single room at escapades and other places and these ones stand above. Love this place!

Recently played the Wild West Saloon room with my girlfriend, and although we didn’t quite make it out, we had a great time. Great looking set and some fun puzzles. Our game guide was very kind.We’ve now played all the rooms at both locations and have enjoyed all of them! Top recommendations would be Shipwrecked (definitely my favorite room in SF area; big set and some really cool puzzles and interactions), Betrayal at the Big Top, Wild West, Headmaster’s Heist and 60-To-Life.

The escape room was challenging but really fun for our group of 4. It says you can have up to 12 in your group but that would be quite cramped. I cant wait for an opportunity to go back and try a different room!

Campsite room was great for kids! We had a 10 and 13 year old and two adults by ourselves and escaped in time. Staff was very friendly and welcoming.

A lot of fun with a family group. We did this for a birthday. We didnt escape the wild west saloon, but it was fun and challenging!

A group of us did the Wild West Saloon escape room and had a blast! From the moment you walk in the door to the time you leave they make you feel welcome and are there to make it a great experience. We loved it!

A group of us went to the newest room, the Saloon, and what a blast!! The staff was awesome, even giving us a little more time! (maybe alot lol I am sure they were laughing at our ineptness, but it was so much fun! We did FINALLY make it out...thanks to the helpful staff and their clues. This was a tough one, for sure, but wow, what an awesome job they do!! Ive done escape rooms all over the country, and I have never seen such awesome room(s)...We will definitely come back, and cant wait to try their other rooms! Highly recommend this place!

I went to one of the rooms with some friends, and it was really fun! I’m not the biggest puzzle person but I still could figure out and help throughout the room experience. Staff was very friendly!

I was very happy with most of the experience, we had a large group for a large room, everything was prepaid, the only issue is 3 people could not show up, for various reasons, we had asked about getting the refund for those 3 people, and were told no. I understand maybe its policy, maybe I missed where there is no refunds, however Id like to point out, regardless of the number of people there was not anymore work that the attendant would have needed to do, nor was the room big enough to fully keep everyone busy in the room, with close to $500 spent for a friends Birthday party. My biggest point on this, is you can pay when you get there, or prepay. What would the difference have been? 3 refunds to make an experience better or choosing to keep the money out of pure greed, and fall back on "its policy" is shady at best. Like I said, everything was decent, aside from that almost $100 expense for no reason part.Edit: The owner response was exactly as expected, Id like to point out, our group is new, our group came in literally Sunday for a Birthday party, and we prepayed for expected spots to make things move smooth, had we not prepaid there would have not been an issue. After reading through all of the complaints, and reviews, there seems to be a good number of other dissatisfied customers. Regardless of those specific events from other people the "Owner" is trying to group all of the negative reviews together. If we had read the reviews previously we would have not chosen this place to attend. After visiting most of the surrounding escape rooms, I dont have anything negative to say about the specific rooms, but I cannot believe a True Buiness owner would have this mindset, or attitude towards good paying customers. I will be doing my due diligence to make sure I do my best not to attend, or shop at any stores the owner may be associated with. A simple apology, a simple refund, a credit, a kind response would have been suffice. Instead if you have a negative experience you are harrased by the owner about being part of some group. "Reallity check"- It is absolutely entirely possible multiple different groups have experienced something negative from your escape room. Do better.

Pretty disgusted with the management at Escapades on 41st and Western. We had a party of 16 for a room this last weekend for my birthday and unfortunately had 3 people cancel due to health issues. Management refused to credit back the $90 from these people even though nothing changed as far as the room with how many people we had. The girl who was working on Sunday was a sweetheart and stated she tried to call management and they told her no to the refund. I would appreciate a callback from whoever this manager is to discuss further because this is horrible customer service on your part.

Had an amazing time, room was of good size for our large group. Although the lady helping us could do nothing about this, i am disappointed that we decided to prepay and 3 people couldn’t show up and when we asked for a refund we were told no. For anyone deciding to go or not, make sure if you prepay that the amount of people you pay for actually go, or you can spend an extra $90 like we did or even more. I don’t know why they told us no refunds, whether it’s a policy thing we didn’t see or if they wanted to be greedy but who knows.

We had booked a room and weather had turned bad. Several of the people were from out of town and would have had trouble making it. We called the day before and several hours before hand and asked about rescheduling. We were told it wasnt possible, then we asked for policy on bad weather. We got hung up on and our number blocked. We were just going to go with a few people to replace those that were out of town but after that we want nothing to do with the place, which is a shame because they were fine on previous times when we went through the pirate/cast away room. Any business that chooses to block numbers when asked questions about policy should maybe review their policies.Edit After Owner Response: Did you block our number? Did you say there was no way to reschedule even though on your own website it says you can, with a rescheduling fee? We would have been alright paying a fee to reschedule as we understand you are trying to run a business. But you said you wouldnt reschedule and blocked us. If Im not a customer you want, then why have you continuously sent me emails to visit again for the last 3 years? Also I thought there was something weird from escapades from a while ago. I looked at my email and you emailed me about applying for your company. Who sends an application for an escape room when the would-be applicant states they are a technician/IT experience.

My friends and I weren’t able to make our reservation last week because of an ICE STORM. We would’ve had to drive 50 miles on the interstate through white out conditions.We called Escapades to try and reschedule and they told us ‘Tough Luck’.Escapades doesn’t care about their customers and they don’t care about you.

Our son and some friends had an escape room scheduled (2 rooms back to backand could not make it to Sioux Falls from Watertown due to winter weather. The rooms were paid for in advance and upon calling to try to reschedule (called the day before and the day of), were told they could not reschedule and no refund would be given because they were still open. Upon my calling the business for the boys, the lady who answered the phone (who says she is the only person who ever answers the phonetold me the boys were lying and they did not call to reschedule. When I told her the weather was not something we could control and they would still like to come but on a day when they wouldnt be risking their lives driving 100 miles in winter weather conditions. She proceeded to tell me she would not refund nor reschedule and then hung up on me. It appears that taking money from kids and wanting them to jeopardize their lives driving in winter conditions is more important to her than good business practices.After reading through some of these reviews, it appears the owner believes everyone is lying and she refuses to work with anyone yet she claims in her responses that some things are out of her control....such as the weather???And the owners response is the perfect example of poor business practices and bullying (as the owner puts itby a business requiring payment up front. We did call 24 hours in advance and were still not able to reschedule even after agreeing to pay the $30. The weather in SD changes hourly and knowing 48 hours in advance is not feasible when it comes to SD weather. Hotels even waive cancelation fees when it is beyond the customers control...i.e. the weather. Never at anytime during the phone conversation did I demand a refund, I asked if the boys could reschedule since I did not want my son and his friends driving in the freezing rain for 100 miles, each way. This business may have great rooms and Im sure if people are able to make it there, it looks like they enjoy it but when the business does not take mother nature into consideration, it proves that common sense is not all that common. Im sure she would not want her kids driving on icy road conditions.

Booked rooms nearly a week in advance, when the weather turned sour asked 24 hours before the scheduled time to reschedule when we were told they normally dont for weather unless they as a business close. Asked to instead reschedule because of weather and instead of working out any deal they hung up and blocked my number.I was happy to even pay a rescheduling fee but instead of negotiating they hung up. That is some predatory practices with very poor professionalism.Living in SD I do not recommend this business as they refuse to work with you for real world scenarios, instead just trying to take the money and run. I would encourage anyone to scroll through the reviews and find that almost every one star review is that same, all with rude, unprofessional and snotty responses from the staff.

Great experiences always. Staff is friendly. The riddles and rooms leave you guessing. Well thought out and creative. The themes are unique and fun!!

We moved here from IL 5 months ago. The place was super clean sanitary wise and the staff was very professional, friendly, and informative. We have never done anything like this. We will definitely be back!!!!!

They have high quality escape rooms! They have many different rooms and there is a large variety of puzzles between them. There is also a ton of puzzles per room.

We had a great time at Eacapades! It was definitely challenging but in the funnest way. Definitely would like to come back!

Do not recommend! A worker, maybe the owner, called me and said I wasn’t allowed to dispute a charge. (We booked a room and I showed up on time but my friend couldn’t make it because of an accident out of their hands, then we couldn’t do it when they arrived lateThey refused to rebook or any refund. How do I not have the right to dispute the charge for a service I didn’t receive but YOU have the right to call me a “snotty bitch” for disputing something? I’m a business owner and you guys have a lot of learning to do!

Absolutely fantastic! Our group did the Paris Heist and the host was an absolute gem. The puzzles were very well designed and super satisfying to solve... despite our failure to actually escape. Well definitely be coming back!

Great rooms, fun themes! The room my group played today was a Paris heist theme. We almost made it out!

First time escape room for all of our group. 4 14/15 year olds and one adult. For the most part the kids led the clue solving. We did the camping room and it went well. Most of the puzzles led themselves along. The staff member was friendly. Clean place. We will be back. I would definitely recommend to others.

We went as a family and had a blast. It was so clean and the staff was so friendly! We went to the location on Western and did the Camp Out” room. We will definitely be back when we visit Sioux Falls again!!

For those that love working with friends and the challenge of puzzles and riddles, you will have a great time. There are 9 different rooms with varying themes and difficulty levels. The rooms are very well constructed, clever and aided with cameras and TV for hints. We travel all around for escape rooms and found these to be the best weve tried. We did 2 rooms and cant wait to do the others

Brought my 11 year old and 7 year old for some girl-time to the Camped Out Escape Room. Brian was AWESOME! He was super friendly and helped us stay on track if we were completely lost. Highly recommend!

Family friendly fun!! Everyone was able to contribute to the grand escape. The perfect mix of fun and complexity. The staff are extremely helpful and welcoming. We will definitely plan to go back.

Horrible experience! Not from this area and thought rooms were at same location. Got bad directions and was lost so we were late. Instead of trying to be understanding, the owner was really rude about it and charged us another $35, despite the fact that there was no one else there and there were other rooms available still. We planned on doing another room directly after but they lost our business and we will advise all our Minnesota people to avoid this place! There are other places to do the same thing and we will do just that!

Do not book with Escapades. They do not adhere to their own contracts, and if you call or email to change your times, you will be ignored and hung up on. Yes, Kari, I have proof.We emailed and called two days before our booking to change it, and were ignored. When the original day came, we were counted as a no show, despite us making the efforts to change it. The employee said it was no problem to change the date, and promised to waive the fee as management failed on their end.Ive since been told my changed date was never rebooked, and I wont be given a refund or have a new date booked because thats simply not something theyll even consider - despite breaking their own contract. When I called and emailed again to have it resolved, I was told it was harassment.I wont be using or recommending their services ever again. Keep the $100. You clearly need it more than me.

Very fun and the staff was very nice and helpful. Everything was clean and they made sure to wipe everything down. They want you to succeed and so they give many hints but they make you work for it. Would definitely come back and recommend to a friend!

My husband and I went here for the first time. We had so much fun in the first room that we went to another one that same night! Such a fun experience for someone who loves puzzles and mystery. Loved the staff and the room set ups. It was an amazing experience. We will be finishing all them soon 🙃

This was a great experience for our family. We really had to work together to get out. It was a good experience for our kids, although maybe a little much for our 5 year old. We did the Camped Out room and it was a good choice with kids. We will definitely be back!

We went here as a gift for our two oldest who turned 11 & 12 that week. We did the "Camped Out" one which is recommended for beginners & had a blast. We had no idea what to expect & thought it would be the only time we would go most likely with the price, only to be talking about when we could go again after we were done. The fun & memories were worth it! We escaped with 8-9 minutes left & the staff was great as well. :)

This was my first experience in an escape room and it was super fun! Loved all the challenges and puzzles! there were some clues where you least expected it and some that were so obvious that you almost missed it! Had a great time and will definitely come again.

Came here yesterday 6/10/20 for the Smash Room! We loved it! Clean facility and helpful staff! They offer axe throwing, smash rooms, escape rooms and also a banquette room for gatherings! We plan to book an event in the future! Highly recommend this place for a fun day/night out with a group of friends. Oh, they also serve a variety of beer/wine.

Had a really great experience doing the camped out room with my 13 year old. This was our 1st time ever doing an escape room and I think that room was a great choice for beginners (not that I’m saying it was too easy as we used pretty much all of our clues!). The attendant was great and very helpful. We will definitely be back

We did the pirate room here with two adults and one child as we were passing through Sioux falls. Weve done almost 100 rooms now and this one ranks pretty high on the list. All the puzzles are logical and super fun. The huge pirate ship and digging in the sand were two super unique aspects. This will test your scavenging and puzzle skills. Note that they discourage cheating with a time penalty that weve never seen before. I highly recommend this room to anyone new or experienced with escape rooms.

Super fun place to visit. My family did the island escape room (first escape roomand we almost got out with one clue left. I would love to go back and try another room. This is one of the more fun and interesting things to do in Sioux Falls.

This was a very fun escape room experience! We did the pirate themed room and even though our group of 4 had another group that booked in with us too, it was a good time. The facility is very nice and they had some great challenges in the room. We still made it out!!

This is such a fun escape room place. The staff is uber friendly and helpful. The room we did kept us thinking and puzzled the entire time. Totally worth it in Sioux falls.

Now this is entertainment you must indulge in! We had a group of about 10--young (30,s 40sand old (60s, 70s). The camping escape room was a blast! Lots of problem solving, guessing, searching for clues. Black light included. The supervisors lock you in and you have an hr. to get out. They also give you clues when you are stuck. I plan to go back to try the reading room and the pirate ship:Unique, challenging fun!!!!

Our group had an incredible time at Escapades! The staff were incredibly friendly and make it a great experience. The room was very well designed with great teamwork and problem solving as well as a consistent theme throughout to really make you feel like a part of the story. The puzzles were appropriately challenging making it satisfying once each was solved. Overall, an excellent experience and look forward to returning for more!

Our varsity volleyball team did a room here and it was nothing but smiles all around! It was the first escape room for many of us, and we all fell in love. The staff was friendly and the room had many surprising steps. I am definitely planning on returning! Thank you for a wonderful night!

Went here for my Birthday and was not disappointed. I had a blast. This was my second escape room experience (first with Escapadesand we got down to 22 seconds left! The puzzles all made sense but there was a lot more searching that had to be done compaired to my first room. Highly recommend this place for an hour of puzzling fun.

I went here with 3 friends after receiving coupons from my parents and it was one of the best experiences ever! As soon as we finished, we wanted to do another one! We are DEFINITELY going back and keeping it on our list as one of our favorite places to go! If you love puzzles and problem solving, I highly recommend this as an incredibly fun outing for any group!

I had an excellent experience! 7 of us tested the pirate room and narrowly managed an escape. The staff is as inviting as they are friendly, and the room was a very welcome challenge. We all offered a different perspective to the puzzles, and every one of us walked out excited about what wed achieved. I wont offer specific details, but I heavily recommend it.
