Fenced-off 9,000-square foot dog area with benches in a neighborhood park next to the picnic area.
Went in the middle of the day. People were friendly and my dog had fun. Thats what its all about.
For a dog park wedged into a neighborhood, its okay. But lacks basics like trash can and poop bags. Though on the bags, I think park users try to stock up in the receptacle thats hanging on the fence. Gates and benches are rickety. Could use some maintenance from the city.
This is not the largest dog park but it’s in a quiet neighborhood and is super pretty for it’s size. My wife and I live next to it and we take our corgi out here all the time. It’s basically a long rectangle so you have plenty of room to throw a ball. Definitely worth a visit!
Nice place for dogs and people. Lots of big trees. Easy to access and find. Lots of free parking.
Decent park. But say some trash around. Including bottles of urine
Great little park to let your fur babies run free
Nice place. They got that splash pad realness.
People need to watch their dogs and pick up after them instead of ignoring it. Trash needed empty as it was over flowing.
Great, shaded park with splash pad, small and quaint. Great for little or big kids. Playground has both little and big kid playgrounds, swings, next to a (fenceddog park. My kids love it here. Minutes from HEB to grab some food.
Shady playground plus working splash pad is a big win in central Houston
It is such a nice serene quiet place, they have a baseball field and lots of places, such as swings where kids can go and play. People also bring their dogs and puppies - the other day I saw a pretty one and said "Hey Beautiful!! and the person with the dog thought I was calling her beautiful and said "thank you!" And I said "I was talking to the dog!" She said "Ill still take the compliment!". :)
Great little park with water feature for kids ball field next door and dog park.
It was peaceful. I have to bring Myloe more often. He is only 4 months old And not used to being around other doggies
Very nice dog park! Lots of trees and shade. There is a splash pad that kids and dogs enjoy. Heck, Im an adult and I like it!
Small, basic neighborhood dog park. No division between big/small dogs. One water fountain. Not consistently supplied w doggie mess bags, but patrons supply plastic grocery bags, sometimes in abundance. I give it a 2, for no separation between small/big dogs and inconsistent doggie bag availability.
This park is great for Kids and is Dog Friendly. Baseball field and soccer field as well basketball court. Yall Have Fun...
Mostly gravel. Smells kind of weird. A lot of people dont pick up after their dogs which would be fine if it was grass but kind of gross on gravel. Dog area is kind of small but not crowded and the people/dogs were nice. Parking is all street parking but at least its free. The main park itself is quite pleasant and theres a sidewalk path that goes around it. I dont regret visiting but probably wont be back.
Its quiet and quaint. My best friends dog loves to smell every ounce of the dog park. I love to play in the water to cool off when its cooking outside.
Great running around spot. Easy access parking. Next to playground (no leash mandate for kids).Bring your own bags/scoop for clean up.
Came by for lunch and it was empty. Would be cool if there were some things for the dogs to play on, but its a nice open area to let them roam around!
It’s not just a dog park, there is a splash pad, playground equipment and field to play on. It’s relatively well maintained but only has some port a johns and not a bathroom. The ‘dog park’ is a modest fenced in area. There’s plenty of cafes and restaurants near by for a snack or a meal and the grounds are kept clean.
The area for the dogs is alright, not a lot of green space in their area. Mostly large dogs there so I did not let my smaller dog in there . There is a playground and splash pad (which was off today; understandably with current situation . The area to walk around is nice though. Really close to 59 freeway in a neighborhood.
Thanks to Houston parks. Love to see the parks like this in a space constraint area like downtown. This is a hidden treasure for me. It has separate beautiful play area for toddler, grown ups and dogs 🐕.Basketball courtSoccer groundBike trailRelaxing hillWell planted trees in the kids play area with shades is an added advantage for this park.
Nice clean childrens play park with lots of different things to climb on. Theres an old soccer field thats beat up, mainly dirt now and the nets are missing from the soccer goals. Theres a half basketball court, dog park, and modern little league field with lights. One public portapotty that is wheel chair accessible. I dont know how clean it is but there is a Starbucks within walking distance
Best park in Houston. The playground structures are almost completely covered by big oak trees which is huge for a city as hot as Houston. Next to the playground is a dog park. The best part is the splash pad. If youre the type of person who doesnt take their kids to the park on the weekend because you cant stand crowds I would 10/10 would recommend this park over any other. Even when its busy it never feels busy. Theres always plenty of room and things for the kids to do. Potential cons: street parking only, playground is not fenced in, no bathroom.
Great park right next to the light up bridges!
This park is great, they have a football field size dog park, a splash pad for the kids, basketball court, playground with swings, baseball field, and plenty of picnic benches, with lots of shade. This has to be one of the best hidden parks in Houston
Small dog park with lots of regular dog/human guests. Its mostly dirt but usually minimal mud. There is a water and hose for rinsing your dog off after playtime.
Small but functional park. Tried using the small lap track as a training but since it crosses into the playground area it can be inconvenient to the kids and you. The small soccer field is useful if youre just doing bodyweight workouts.
Decent sized area for the dog to run around. There are always no doggy bags when we go, so bring your own. There’s a lot of dirt so a bath after is necessary.
Houstons 1st dog park.No separate area for small dogs.Beware children treating as petting zoo on weekends. City ordinance: 13-18 yrs old must be accompanied by parent. <12 not permitted.
LOVED IT! I got 3 dogs and they enjoyed it to. Not overcrowded there is a track and place for doggy poo. Conveniently close to the freeway and parking is free.
Fun for the whole family. Plenty of space to run around, good splash pad, and lots of room for kites, games, soccer, basketball (the hoop is rickety thoand baseball or Frisbee.
nice little park! there’s only street parking, which is the only thing that brings down the stars. but otherwise it was a wonderful dog park- the fences were nice and high, with two gates to prevent runaways. it was basically a large dirt patch with lots of space for dogs to run, with some seating and a water fountain both for people and dog use. there’s a playground for children right next to the dog park itself, which is great if you’re looking to bring a family! no divided areas for big and small dogs, but people were very attentive to their pets, so I wouldn’t be too concerned as long as your dog plays well with others! puppy had lots of fun- definitely worth it, especially with how convenient the location is to the rest of the Museum District!
Viva LA FAMILY I Love JUDE 2019
My son love the splash pad at this park! Its a little old and run down, but its perfect for smaller kids/toddlers since many of the water features are right on the ground.I dont think there are any facilities at this park (such as a washroom). It has limited shade and limited seating. Bring a folding chair, sunscreen and a hat and have fun!
Very nice fenced dog park with doggie water fountain and water spigot with hose for rinsing off. Area is large enough for walking or playing with dogs and kids. Lots of other dogs for your dog to meet too. Next to childrens playground with large water fountain with alternating jets of water for kids to play in. Baseball field with bleachers. Basketball court. Walking path with benches and water fountains on about a couple acres of grass. Large porta potty.
Decent dog park here thats enclosed with a gated fence. Most people who are here with their dogs are pretty respectful and all of the dogs playing seem to get along just fine. There are quite a few benches and seats scattered around to relax while your canine makes new friends and runs around. Dog 💩 bags are sometimes there and sometimes not.
A very social dog run lots of well behaved canines use to being around other dogs and their owners. Also there is a playground next to gated area for kids only downside is the dog run is a little small.
Great little dog park just north of 59. No grass, but plenty of room for the pups to run. Parking is plentiful on the street and its a great alternative to the Buffalo Bayou park that was flooded during Irma.
Cool little doggy park. Not as large as most in Houston and surrounding areas however. It is all small pebbles,no grass. Which I actually prefer,as grassy dog parks harbor poo and get muddy. They have a human water fountain as well as a water source for dogs.Several benches to sit down on whilst watching your furry friends run about. The park proper has a baseball diamond.Theres a small water feature (splash padfor kids and adults to cool down in during Summer months. The childrens playground is cool and well maintained.
Very cute, rectangular, pea gravel, fenced park with well-behaved dogs. Kids playground right outside gate with lots of dogs on leash and moms pushing strollers with nannies. My dog has too much energy for this park since he is still in beginning stages of training so I will return when he is a little older. Not a park for a young, eager dog that wants to run fast and play chase with equally energetic dogs. More of a park to take your well mannered, obedient dog to play fetch and master his obedience. It is a Starbucks and fluffy Giant Poodle or Smart Water and beautifully trained Vizla type of park, all of which I love. Just wasnt right energy level for this stage of my dogs training so we didnt go in.
I gave it four stars because the dog area could use some place to wash off the dogs. The dog are is mainly dirt. However, my dog and I like this park because everyone I have met there is really nice and they clean up behind their dogs.
Nice park. Nice crowd. Small which works out great because you never lose sight of your animal. Nice area would be nice if somebody could please fix or turn on the drinking water so my dog doesnt drink out of the mud puddle that forms there after raining.
The best part of this park is that it is conveniently located for the surrounding neighborhoods, it is next to a nice park, and it is decently sized. There are approximately 5-10 dogs here on an average weekday after work. There are a few benches for those that want to sit and the people who visit are friendly. There is plenty of shade but little to no grass - all gravel and dirt. Overall this park is good in a pinch, but there are plenty of better parks if you have time for the drive.
We come here during summer because the playground is in a very shaded area. Its also nice that it has a splash pad.The only thing I dont like is the mulch that covers all the playground area.
This is our favorite park to bring our kid and dog to! Its very well shaded and it has swings for the babies, a playground (for dogs and kids), and a splash pad. There is a small baseball diamond too for older kids. Parking can be sort of awful but if you live in the neighborhood its great to walk to.
The park is relatively small in size and does not feature grass for dogs to play on but rather dirt and mulch. There is seating for dog owners to sit upon but if there are other dogs in the park they might not want to sit down. There are trash cans for disposal of dog waste. If there was more grass a place for dogs to get water and it was bigger the park would have 5 stars.
This is a great neighborhood park. I love it, my dog loves it and many others obviously. It also has streaming water like at Discovery Green so tis a good alternative to there if youre looking to avoid a weekend crowd.
We come here because its closer, but we prefer to go to the dog parks that are further away. There is only one section, not a split for bigger and smaller dogs like you often see. No grass, just gravel. A lot of the dogs who come here can play pretty aggressively. My dog is little and can usually handle it, but its not the best for shy dogs. Also sometimes theres just not any dogs here. Im not sure when people usually bring their dogs here.
