Was greeted with a smile and a very polite man took my order! I had the 3 piece chicken dinner with double order of fries and a jalapeño.Man that was some fresh juicy crispy skin chicken! Absolutely fantastic chicken and fries!I will be returning! Highly recommend!

The sides and the price was disgusting and ridiculous. We spent over $30 on TWO plates of old, dried chicken breasts and sides that we had to spit out. The chicken was a lot like old cold Churchs chicken. The lady that took the order was nice.

I have ordered breakfast for the past three years at least three or four times a month from Ernie’s and usually I’m pretty impressed but after today I’ll never go back.I called to order like usual and the older gentleman on the phone was extremely rude.Once I got to Ernie’s to pick up my order, he argued with me that I ordered four burritos instead of one. Still tried to charge me for the four, got extremely upset that he couldn’t swipe my card right. Finally a sweet women came to the window and finished my payment.The lack of pride for his business and service he provided just ruined it for me.

We have been eating the fat breakfast burrito since highschool and it never lets me down!

The FAT ERNIE has been my favorite for years. Used to order this when I lived in Belton 20 years ago. I ordered it again traveling through town. STILL just as great!

It’s unfortunate, that I was NOT able to try the chicken out that seems to have great reviews for the most part on google. We visited this location today a little after 1pm before going somewhere else. There were NO prices on the menu board that appears to have had prices before. Then we asked if they had an available menu with prices and and the lady proceeds to say they do, while handing us a paper menu and says, “but the menu doesn’t have the “right prices!” She proceeds to say that they don’t have the prices posted because the prices change often😳😳😳Well, I have never heard of that before at an establishment! So yeah, I won’t be back! That is very unprofessional.

Food is great. I have been eating here since 2001 salsa is on point burritos are best in the area but have been getting smaller and smaller over the years with rising price. If you want extra salsa it will cost you 25 cents for 5 cents worth per container. Chicken strips and okra are really good.

We called the order in, & ordered the Fat Ernies breakfast burritos. Burritos were good but bacon too crispy to my liking.

The food is exactly as big & awful as their attitude towards longtime & new customers multiple times over about 3+ years. So, its not just me in particular that they messed up every item ordered, also clearly marked each mistake on each item, then even included paper the order had been taken on, correctly. Also included was the perfect size glob of flabby, undercooked bacon to make you wonder if you paid extra for the pre-chewed gum cuz you only wanted egg, potato & cheese. Then I get a different mouthful when less than a minute into the phone call Im immediately told Im wrong, thats not what was ordered & bring the rest of the food back to them, yes all of it. Even though it was delivered, by them. And no refund, just credit. A partial credit, for food. Their food.

I drive from Killeen to get these luscious, delicious, eye popping, mouth watering breakfast burritos(fat ernie). If you havent tried them, youre missing out.

I love this place..Been going there since I was a teenager..I absolutely love the staff..Very friendly and family oriented..always fresh hot food...Never had any complaints..Favorite food is the catfish..the chicken is awesome..gizzard r the best around..if u havent tried it..plz do..cuz u font know what ur missing

Best Fried Chicken within at least 50 miles. Small shop but they sure are generous with their portion as you can tell from my pictures. The chicken is marinated so not only the skin was flavorful, but also the meat. They offer a varity of chicken cuts and even gizzards and liver. Their burrito are HUGH!!!

My husband, daughter & I can share 7 piece tender & a fat Ernie. Thats always our favorite, its so good we never try anything else.

My wife took me here several years ago and I havent stopped coming back,the fat earnie is the best burrito Ive ever eaten. The sauce is one of the best Ive ever had and they make it in house every single day. My kids love all their food here and the staff is as home style as walking into mamas kitchen and asking whats for supper.

My girlfriend and I drive past her knees regularly. So we decided to stop yesterday and it was pretty good.it was fairly early in the lunch time and it took a little bit of time to get our food to go. They were probably just starting to prepare their chicken.thats about the only reason I didnt give it five stars is our weight was a little while and we were getting food to go so I understand

Ernies has been a staple in the Belton community for many years now. Their establishment keeps a down home feel. Their business thrives because it is centered around Christ. You definitely wont go wrong there. We love Ernies chicken and burritos (the famous Fat Ernie).

This place is awesome!! We had our go to place in San Diego. So when we got to Belton we tried all the chicken places we could. We ran across Ernies an we have learned the family owned tiny places are the F@$king Best. Simple an yet Awesome!!

Ernies Ernies Ernies fried chicken. They should call it Fat Ernies after there Giant breakfast burrito. This burrito is so huge you wont eat for the he rest of the day! This burrito has everything in it. Eggs bacon beans potatoes cheese!! It is the Bomb Diggity! They also have other fried food delights. But there big seller is that HUGE BARRITO the fat Ernie. You gotta try one Im telling you! The out side of the establishment isnt very appealing but the food is on point. Dont judge a book by its cover. So get your azz to Ernies and try that breakfast burrito!!

This restaurant gets a 5 stars. We strongly recommend Ernies. My husband and I eat here every Saturday and Sunday morning. We have the breakfast burrito. Great food and and the staff are so kind.

Absolutely love Ernies. Can honestly say I have never had anything but the breakfast burritos and they have never disappointed. Great price for the amount of food you get and its always filling. The Fat Ernie with extra bacon and their hot sauce is the only way to go! I never go to Bell County without stopping in!

Me and my coworkers order breakfast burritos every single weekend and sometimes during the week. Some days their delivery drivers are an hour late and sometimes they are there on time. I called this morning and all of a sudden they don’t do delivery until “8:30-9:00” but they open at 7. Doesn’t really make sense to me. Shouldn’t there be a set time that the employees show up? Ya know, like a scheduled time? How can you run a business if you’re employees just show up whenever they want to? If the food wasn’t so good they would lose my business. 😩

A mom & pop chicken/catfish restaurant. The chicken was really good. I had two pieces of chicken, fries, & a roll. Old fashioned chicken that your grandmother used to cook. Sodas are cans but only $1. Older building but clean. Staff is friendly.

Really wish this burrito was still what I remembered from years ago. Theres a significant amount of potato in the Fat Ernie, which is slightly bland. At first, I didnt really find any bacon, but realized it was all in one spot. The bacon was cooked perfectly, though! Didnt taste much chorizo, and the egg is more of a seasoning than a filling ingredient. $4+ for tortilla-wrapped potato was not what I had my heart set on. Its certainly not *bad*, for sure, just nothing to write home about. Bittersweet. Ill definitely be returning to try out some chicken, though.

Absolutely love Ernies! We have been getting the "Fat Ernie" for the last 20 years. Hands down the best breakfast burrito in town. The family that owns the business has owned it for decades and are such great people. Cant say enough about this place.

Big pieces of catfish(most of the timeand some damn good chicken. Recommend calling and ordering ahead. They have weird days off and seem to close early at times.

I was at this place just Friday March 3rd 2017 It was horrible!! I will never go again. First of all the lady lied about the chicken being fresh. Then we got served horrible cold slaw. The beans was decent. I just want to say please stick with the food you cook well dont try to get outside of your comfort zone. This place was the worst ever. Dont waste your money! Your been warned.

Really good! I wasnt sure about their breading, its still not my favorite breading, but the chicken and gizzards were delicious! I also enjoyed the slaw. The green beans could use a different flavor but still good.
