C. Patio de la Alberca, 36, 18010 Granada, Spain, Granada
Historic site holding an unassuming church with a scenic viewpoint overlooking the city.
Its a bit of a hike to get up there but then the ciew is probably the best you get on granada. We loved it!
I highly recommend this viewpoint. There were also cave dwellings down the hill from the church.
Horrible neighbourhood. Its like you walk through favelas. Not worth it
Breathtaking sunset views of both the Alhambra and the Western mountains, and without the crowds! Able to get to by walking or by bus
Nice views. The google maps were very wrong, but a nice man told us the right way to go.
Favorite place in Granada. Best sunset view and also view of the Alhambra. Perfect for picnics. Can walk up or take the bus;)
Very calming vibes, defintley a place for a moments of tranquilty.
Nevada, Alhambra and sunset in one spot.
A great sightseeing point of Granada city. It’s a hard hike to reach it, but completely worth it. The views from there are breathtaking and the best view of the Alhambra and the whole city.
The view is worth the effort but the whole area is scruffy and with graffiti.
Awesome views.
Go there to see the sunset!
The best place to contemplate the sunset in Granada.
Amazing view on the Alhambra.
wonderful view point especially on sun set
This is the first place in Granadas view. Just a little more up from the Nicolas Observatory and youll arrive. This is a hill where anyone can come on foot not bus.In order to see the night view, it is better to come in not too late or with several people.
The view of the Alhambra from this place is breathtaking. We had planned to visit the Mirador de San Nicolas but were lost and found this place instead. The viewpoint is much higher compared to the Mirador but then we had to climb the hill down 2-3 kms through a settlement to reach the Mirador. It was worth being lost.
Come here!! I woke up super early in the morning and made my way up to the church. The view was amazing. Watching the sunrise slowly hit the city made for a mesmerizing memory. Watching the city wake up and hearing the animals made it very peaceful. Great spot for pictures. Sunrise or sunset would be your best bet.. It is a climb so know that...but well worth it
A great point of view over the city. For a better point of view for the Alhambra, go to mirador de san nicolas.
very beautiful place to sit and watch the sunset. you might be joined by some 13-years old spaniards trying to roll their first cigs, but beautiful (and entertainingspot nonetheless :)
A place worth to go. Great view over the city. Nice view for taking pictures of the Alhambra from above.A very calm place with only a few people there. Perfect for taking pictures.
Nice hiking trails and great views of Granada. Very peaceful.
Gorgeous views to Alhambra and all Granada. We watched the sunset there, be prepared for many people but still much less than at San Nicolás mirador.
A bit tricky to find the way up, but once you do the arduous trek is very much worth it. The views from up here are stunning and unmatched. It’s one thing to see the Alhambra from within and quite another to see it from this distance. Only from here can you appreciate the structure’s true majesty in my opinion. If you go up the quirky grey staircase, watch out for the funny and left leaning graffiti on the stairs!
This is the place to go in Granada for the best views of all over the city. Arrive just an hour or so before the sun goes down. Take some drinks and some snacks and trek up the hill. Its well worth the effort. We stayed just as the sun went down and watched all the lights starting to come on in the city. Magical
One of the best spots in Granada, amazing views of Alhambra. It’s difficult to get there by foot, you can stop over San Nicolas
Great view of the city and granada I have heard that sunset or sunrise are amazing there. And the night view as well.
The trail offers great views of Granada and the hills. As for the Ermita visit, the hours are a well preserved secret.
This has perhaps the best view in Granada. Beautiful view of the Alhambra, the mountains, and the city from up high. This is a phenomenal place to watch the sunset in Granada as the sky will change colors. Bring some drinks and snacks and enjoy them with your view watching the sunset. It can be quite a hike up on the paths and stairs so you might consider taking a bus to the top that lets you off very close to the viewpoint!
Excellent views of the entire city. Not only the infamous Alhambra but also the entire city including the cathedral. It was quite hot for us even at around 7 pm in May so not sure how bad will it be in the summer. There isnt much to do or place to buy anything there so be prepared. Overall a great panoramic view of the entire Granada city which is hard to capture in pictures.
Good place to see great panoramic view of granada
Very nice view! There is also a water spring nearby. Dont forget to put on sunscreen, cause its windy and you dont realize you are getting burnt.
Easy to reach on the bus. A superb view of all of Granada. There was a flamenco guitarist playing, which added to the atmosphere. Just below the Chapel there was plenty of room for people to relax on the grass and eat /drink/be merry.
From this site you can see Granada and the Alhambra
Amazing views across malaga, worth the walk up the hill and when you get there is breathtaking
Good views of the city but only with the good optic, otherwise its too far for a good photo. Less crowded than St. Nicholas viewpoint. Bus N9 stops there but runs infrequently, so Id recommend Uber (only about 5-6 Euro from downhill).
Fantastic sunset and views over the valleys
Firstly, be warned: if you are walking and not driving, it is quite a steep walk, especially under the blazing hot sun. If you are not very comfortable with long inclines, take a bus or car. That said, the hike is 100% worth it. The church is quaint, having once been the site of a (supposedChristian Chapel, over which one of the largest Nasrid defensive towers were built during the Middle Ages. Following Reconquista, the tower was demolished and rebuilt into a church, which was then destroyed by French troops centuries later. The church that stands here now was rebuilt with no attention to the older architectural style, thus it is relatively modern looking compared to many of the other sites. The view of Granada is amazing. You can see Alhambra and most of the city. I would even say its a better view than from the Alhambra.
Wonderful view (sunset in particularand a peak into how people live in the caves on the hill. Just please be respectful when walking around there and ask beforehand if you can take a look at their cave.
Such a nice place to be at night... You can see the whole city from there, it is worth the trip all the way up. Theres also a nice fountain and a lot of walls to sit by, and it is surrounded by olive trees.
Beautiful view and a great hike to the top through the Albaicin neighborhood. Must do after Alhambra!
It is one of the best panoramic view point in Granada. It requires a quite long walk from downtown to the top. Parts of the way to reach this place is in a trail sadly full of stinky garbage and with a very poor illumination. Differently by other view points, like Mirador of S. Nicola, this is not a place in which I would go in the nighttime, definitely. The view from the top is stunning, really, but I feel it is not so safe to come here after the sunset.
The road is very easy and actually it is very nice to walk it all up. The view is so worth it. Along the way you can stop and admire the scenery but nothing beats the view from the top. The Church itself is nice.
What an awesome place !Not only for the views but also for the walking trial back to the Albayzin neighborhood across the caves. It is really amazing and I would say wild, they are many tourists going up and down but this area still keep it essence.
Most beaitiful view of Granada! Totally worth the walk/drive up. The Ermita although was closed. Even though its a 5/5.
Great view but if you dont like to climb that much, go to the Mirador San Nicolas
Incredible view of the city and the Alhambra. Also way less touristy/crowded than the other viewpoints. Its a bit of a climb but very much worth the walk.
Best view over Granada. Less touristy than Mirador San Nicholas, hang out place for the locals. Came here on a Sunday evening where locals bring their guitar, beer and hang out here. Very relaxing, highly recommended!
Highly recommend. Not many people, beautiful scenary, cool wind and perfect viewpoint. If you see the sunset with a can of beer, its a heaven. Caution : you need to climb a lot so bring your comfortable shoes.
Hands down the best view in Granada!! You can actually see the whole of Granada and everything in between! If the skies is clear you can view sunset here.
