The directions from Google was just on point, thank. Well, the waterfall itself was a delight to see but I wasnt too happy with the maintenance of the place. Some of the walkway provided for accessing the fall at the heights above are without safety rails and that dangerous. Tourists are made to go without a tour guide.

Nature is beautiful, I enjoyed my trip to the Resort and waterfall. The place is beautiful, a must go place for you and your family. It has seven Layers, I wish I engaged in the climbing to the seventh floor, but I guess I will do it when next I visit there. People mistake the place for Erin Ijesha waterfalls but actually its called OLUMIRIN WATERFALLS.

Maintenance of this beautiful place is very poor. Its an interesting experience if you visit the waterfall especially for someone whos a little bit obese *smile.I think government and private individuals can invest more in this great heritage of a place and make more attractive for local and international tourism attractions.

This tourist center is so fantabulousTrip to Erin ijesha waterfallsBy Sebastian IdamaErin Ijesha is a seven-step waterfall located in the heart of Osun State. It is one of the many beautiful tourist attraction in Nigeria. Erin Ijesha waterfall is located in Southwest Nigeria. The name Erin Ijesha can be loosely translated as the Elephant of Ijesha. At the top of the hill on the seventh floor is the source of the water and the ancient Abake Village.erin Ijesha waterfallsOlumirin Waterfalls as it is known by the locals derived its name from the fact that it has seven levels. Each of the levels gives tourists a new and different experience. My Different Levels at the WaterfallsThere are seven different levels at Erin Ijesha Waterfalls, the first and the second levels are the easiest. My First LevelThe First Floor and second floors have a lovely waterfall. The first waterfall is about 20 metres long. It is one of the most beautiful scenes you’d ever see with steady water gushing down from the top of the rock.waterfalls in osun nigeriaMy Second LevelThe second floor involves climbing the stairs to an elevated part of the mountain which hosts the second waterfall. It is a little bit hidden which gives it some form of privacy. The water gushing from this waterfall is more compared to the one on the first floor. My Third LevelThe third floor is one of the most difficult to climb. If you are not an adventurer, your journey would probably end at the second waterfall. The second waterfall at Erin Ijesha is located on the second floor. The third level has no waterfall, it is a rough path with no stairs, you have to find your way through the rubbles using both your hand and legs. Climbing through the ridges is one of the most difficult parts of getting to the third floor. To do a successful climb, you will need to support yourself with the roots and stem of plants to get to the fourth level. The third floor is the most difficult part. It is not a journey for the fainthearted. It’s one of my most adventurous hiking experience. I have hiked Olumo rock in Abeokuta, Arinta waterfalls Ekiti, Idanre Hills Ondo etc. Erin Ijesha is the most difficult and interesting. If you want to have a feel of Erin Ijesha waterfall, its terrain, culture, tradition, people and history, you should make this climb.4th, 5th and 6th LevelThe fourth, fifth and sixth floors are not as challenging as the third, you just have to walk about an hour through the bushes and forest to get to the apex. The Seventh LevelThe seventh floor is the reward for your tenacity and labour, it serves as a host to an ancient community and it is also the source of the Erin Ijesha waterfall. The village has been in existence almost as far back as the discovery of Olumirin waterfalls. Another motivation is if you successfully make this journey. You would have successfully walked from Osun State to Ekiti State. The Abake village is under Ekiti state. The seventh floor is the peak, it is one of the most beautiful views ever. The hiking takes between 45 minutes to 2 hours to get to the peak of Erin Ijesha.Erin Ijesha waterfalls is a combination of Hills, Valleys, rocks, lush green vegetation and one of the most beautiful waterfalls. The vegetation is preserved like it was since it was first discovered by the princess of Ile Ife. Apart from the stairs and mini bridges that have been added to this place to make climbing easy. Erin Ijesha has maintained its original state for many centuries. My personal encounter with the people around the 7th mountainThe people in the community are generous and accommodating as various people in Nigeria come here to buy and sell. Erin people can be accommodating to a fault. They are are also liberal but highly principled.Things to be aware of when visiting the tourist center1. Beware of the rocks2. Wear something comfortable.3. Wear a gripping shoe4. If you have a phobia for height do not attempt to go past the first or second level.5. Hold enough cash, they do not accept transfers nor do they have POS machines.

The place is easily accessible, though the road that leads there is a bit rough untarred, children are allowed but needs supervision by adults. A fun place to be, heard it has 7 stages where the water runs from, but most people dont pass more than the 3rd stages and mostly lazy ones like me only stay at the first stage. There are stairs used in accessing the each stages.

A wonderful tourist site. You can appreciate the beauty of nature with the different levels of Waterfalls (7 levelsand rock climbing to each level. You will surely want to tick this place in your list of places you would love to visit. I would have loved if the place has a spot for sale of traditional food to add to the tourist attraction.

An absolute delight! On my first visit here, I made it to the fourth level, we were determined to get to the last level which is level 7 but the tour guide advised against it😒This recent visit, I had no intention of going past the first level because it held exactly what I needed at the time, a relaxing shower under the chilled spring waterfall, mahnn, it was therapeutic. I made a note to walk barefooted too, had to maximize all my opportunities to connect with nature. The trip from Lagos had been unnecessarily long and tiring, we also arrived behind schedule and almost missed the chance to access the water fall but we did and I had to make the most of it without stress too.I’m convinced I still have one more visit to this destination or however many trips it will be for me to make it to the top which I’ve heard is a beautiful setting and an entire village on its own. Can’t wait to see the view from the top and I believe it’s going to be sooner too.The waterfall is very chilling and relaxing, it’s really cold at first but once you get under it, it’s really hard to leave.Go along with change of clothes and comfy shoes that can be easily removed and reworn, this way you won’t have any reason to miss out on the fun that this place offers.

It’s a nice place to visit but a mixture of stress and fun😅. The walking and climbing to the upper levels can be so tedious which could be made much easier if more pedestrian bridges can be constructed . The waterfall there really cools the body.

Erin Ijesha waterfall is some kilometers away from Ijesha town, Osun State. You can access this place with a vehicle or a motor bike.Tickets are gotten at the entrance for 1000 naira per person & at your request, a tour guide is assigned to you( this comes at an extra cost). No pre-booking is required. The waterfall has 7 floors & with each floor you climb, you get to discover the beauty that is this waterfall. Be warned that it involves a lot of hiking so if you’re one who tires easily, you may want to stop on the first floor.Kindly note that it’s quite a distance from the entrance to the waterfall. Refreshments & shower caps(optional are sold at the entrance. The weekends are busy days at the waterfall so if you’ll prefer a calmer, more quiet experience, it would be best to visit during week days.Remember to bring extra clothing or a bikini so you don’t go home wet.

You can buzz me if you need his contact while visiting. I would definitely visit again.

I have heard a lot about Erin Ijesa waterfall but I was actually stuned by the wonders of mother nature when I visited. Its a lovely place for nature lovers, serene environment and a place with fresh air. The whispering waterfall is cold and refreshing to the body. The Waterfall is housed in an environment with magnificent scape; with beauty that greets upon arrival. We were welcomed by drummers. It has seven cascades. In a search for the source of the water in company of other tourists we spent almost an hour climbing upwards with tree stumps as support. After the climb we relaxed by the soothing water splash; the sound and flow of the torrent water is refreshing and relaxing. It is preferable to come along with Hiking shoes, change of clothes for people who want to enjoy the water at the base. Though this place got seven cascades, we were able to get to the fourth, cos the other floors are breathe tasking.Btw: Make sure you have lots of time. To enjoy this place, you shouldn’t be in a hurry.

Erin Ijesha waterfall also known as Olumirin waterfall is located in Erin Ijesha town, Oriade local government area of Osun state in Nigeria. It is one of the numerous waterfalls in Nigeria and what I saw was when I went there was really beautiful. There are 7 levels to the waterfall but I only reached 3 levels of the waterfall. The entrance fee per adult is 1000 Naira.Children - 500 NairaVideo/camera - 2000 NairaCar park - 300 NairaOpening hours: 8:00am to 6pm daily. The only downside is, the distance from the main entrance to the waterfall is not a trek-able one, so, if you don’t have a personal vehicle, you’ll need to use a motorcycle to go inside. You might tell the motorcycle rider to wait for you to finish at an extra cost or you can have the tour guides arrange one for you on your way back to the entrance after you’re done. From Ilesha, you can board a cab, bus, or motorcycle to Erin Ijesha. Always ask the locals for direction. I used a motorcycle from Ilesha to Erin Ijesha and I paid 1500 Naira.Learn how to negotiate with the tour guides too. The one I met said he charges 1000 Naira to take me up each level which was ridiculous. I ended up paying 1500 for 3 levels which I was pretty satisfied with.In all, I had an awesome experience at Erin Ijesha waterfall. Nature is indeed beautiful.

A natural tourist site.Emphasis on the word Natural. It could be so much better if it finds l some investment and governmental Goodwill. But I digress. The mountain is massive. But there are stairs to climb it up to a point. After that its just pure hiking. Climbing rocks to get to higher ground. The waterfalls are so beautiful. They can be seen on multiple levels and thats niceThe water hits you with so much force if youre under it. I heard someone describe it as Strong as a massage. All in all, a fun experience.Just wish theyd make more safety oriented decisions and choices

This is a very good place to get connected with the nature. Just enjoy the water and the atmosphere. But I would advice you if you are not fit physically dont bother to get to the seven floor. The place is an hour trek from the third floor. Because by the time you get back you might be exhausted.

It’s one of Nigeria’s best tourist attraction center. It has seven levels of steps. I was only able to get to the second floor, you’d need strength and strong will to go beyond the second floor. It’s a beautiful sight to behold. Beautiful flowers, the waterfall is breathtaking.I also think the empty cubicles can be renovated and put into use and vendors can also have their own spots, for refreshments, history etc. It can be a full blown resort and accommodation can be provided. I am thinking long term. It will also encourage tourists.Overall, I didn’t regret visiting Erin Ijesha waterfall.

I simply loved my visit to the waterfall. The vast landscape, the cooling effect of the water running down the various levels and the various sights and sounds, makes it a must-see for anyone and everyone visiting Osun State. You are greeted with an ancient look of the area, which gives a self-told history and as you move higher, the warmth of the sun rapidly changes to cool winds...loved it.So, why didnt I give it 5-stars? Erin Ijesha waterfall should be a state of the art heritage. However, what you see is a poorly managed tourist attraction. While some of the climbing can be really fun, other areas pose a safety concern. Under great management, with various sponsorships, it can be a sight to behold...just my 2 cents.

Had a swell time visiting with family, it comes with the fun that comes with the fall! People come here from different places and the most busy days of the week are Wednesday, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Theres no restaurant so its best you come with your food and snacks, you can buy good palmwine from the sellers around there. The tour guides gets a token from you for taking you up and teaching you the history, there are gazebos where you can eat or meet and network with your fellas, theres also a space where you can gather, it takes about 100people, there are 7 levels of the mountain, for fun sake get to the 3rd level and play with water 😂

Poorly managed. Nature left to itself by poor management.1. The pool by the waterfall is too shallow. Ankle or even below ankle deep in dry season.2. You cant really swim or fully dip as an average height individual. You can only splash and stuff3. The rocks are just a disturbance and dangerous, something that could actually be worked on.4. You cant get even basic food, snacks or drink inside the compound except by a small shack at the gate. And even that has a limited selection.

Amazing place to visit. We were only able to get to the 3rd level. the higher to go the colder the water becomes. There is a myth that no one ever fell while climbing the Erin Ijesha waterfall. The water flows from over 100 feet down to the 1st level.. Quite an amazing experience. It is highly recommended you go with your own food and drinks, though you might be able to buy local snacks around there. I drank the best palm wine there.

We had a 2 days trip from Ikogosi warm and cold spring on first day to Erin ijesha on second day ...On arrival at erin ijesha on second day , we sorted entry fee per person which was N500 and also paid N500 for camera / drone we took in ...We started with group photos at the entrance ☺ and proceeded with hiking to the top .The first few stages have staircase, this was more like an endurance walk sincerely ... before getting to the first fall ..On our way up, we had little entertainment from an old man who beats the local drumWe danced and gifted him few notes before continuing our hike to the first fall.We got to the first fall took photos and felt the water ( it was extremely cold .Fastward, we continued the hike and had stops at every fall 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 to take photos. The more we hiked the higher we kept going and the view of the village below kept looking more tiny .Finally we got to the 7th stage and we were told we could make prayers there ( some kinda holy ground .. in about 10mins we were done and proceeded with taking photos ☺ ....We spent couple of minutes on the 7th before making it down the hill to the 3rd fall where we soaked ourselves in the extremely cold water falling from the rocks ..This was an Awesome experience 😊 .........Afrotrips Africa

Visited with a group of friends. Beautiful sights were seen that my camera failed to do justice to. I didnt realise how unfit I was until I started climbing. Heard the waterfall has seven levels and at the summit lies a little village that is actually Ekiti state. Despite the stress of climbing, I was willing to keep up if only to see this village. Unfortunately, my friends were unwilling to go further and we had to go back down after the fourth level. Sigh. With good friends, good food and conversations, you will be in good company and have a memorable experience.
