Epic Arts Cafe - Cafe in Kampot, Cambodia
They just moved to a new location and its so nice.
So good we went twice. The bagels which I believe they make in-house are delicious. The chicken mayo one was excellent. The cheese and tomato was solid but could have had more flavour/seasoning. Excellent big salads. The coffee is great too! Really nice atmosphere also. Youd definitely make it your regular cafe if you lived here.
The cafe was chill and a really nice place to enjoy brekkie. My girlfriend and I both took a hummus bagel and it was really good and the size was enough for keeping the hunger away for hours even though I usually need food more that an average. As a true coffee lover, their French press coffee gave me an awesome start for the day. They also had a pretty good variety of vegan and vegetarian dishes. It was also nice to support this kind of business which helps people with disabilities. Especially after seeing so much poverty in this country and knowing how limited options they have.Would highly recommend.
Friendly staff, lovely place and the best muesli I had in Cambodia. And: nice concept!
Insanely creative and delicious food served by a mostly deaf staff. Carrot cake is unreal- coffee is delicious- and a couscous dish is divine. Your money goes to a nonprofit when you eat here- happy foodie plus I’m giving back to this community? It’s a win-win for sure.
Very good food and service. The carrot cake was soooo good that i have to mention it in this post. Sadly I ate it before I could take a picture of it. Will come back for more
A little gem in Kampot. I ordered a BLT with onions and kampot pepper. It was huge. The menu is extensive (not expensive!without getting out of control. Comfortable seating, wonderful wait staff. I will be back.
Always great food here. Amazing $2 Toasty & Carrot cake. Many other great eats too.
We came here for breakfast on our first day in Kampot and fell in love with the place. The service is amazing, the staff is so nice and warm, the food is incredible and the prices are very fair. This is such an important cause and I wish every workplace in the world will be as inclusive as this one! Thank you ❤️
I recently moved to Kampot and Epic Arts has quickly become my favorite morning hangout for working, atmosphere and Khmer coffee (as well as cakes!)! I absolutely LOVE how inclusive they are of all people, especially those with disabilities, and how easy they make it for artists to come in and create. Its a place where everyone can feel good contributing to a worthy cause with every purchase you make. Highly, highly, HIGHLY recommend!
As far as I can tell everything in here is amazing. Best breakfast I’ve had in months of traveling, coffee brilliant. Ice tea brilliant. And the staff are amazing. I found my fave spot in Kampot. 💯
Really good brunch place, the homemade bread is amazing. good portion, good eggsbenedict
Easily one of the best cafes in Cambodia! Delicious food, big servings and lovely staff. 10/10!!
Came here for breakfast every morning during our stay in kampot. The staff are very attentive and the food is lovely. Would definitely recommend.
The last time I was at Epic Arts was in December 2017 — my first solo trip in Asia.I love the vibe and their mission. I bought my FIRST Cambodia Knits item in their shop: a blue monkey with magnetic hands.A delicious meal…. Yes, I was hungry after my train ride from Phnom Penh.😋 Chicken Schnitzel Bagel😋 Side Salad😋 Cheesecake and Iced Coffee#JVOsJourney #SoloTravelInCambodia #WhereInTheWorldIsTeacherJessica #StaycationUpgrade
Gorgeous space with kind and welcoming staff! Food is really tasty!
Very nice place, varied and delicious food. Very courteous service!
The Food is absolut amazing, they have a lot different opportunities. Never had such a good Cake. The Staff is so friendly and helpful. And the Place is to support People with a Handicap. So completely recommend this Place.
This is a very nice Café, both for eating and working! Went there twice in my 2 day stay in Kampot, once to have breakfast with my friends and once to do some work and I loved it. Really nice atmosphere and good wifi. They also have really good food and drinks and the service is exceptional.
The Cafe runs with some organization that help people with disabilities. They have a variety of options with vegan, vegetarian and non vegetarian food.
love this place. breakfast and mains, friendly staff. vegetarian and vegan meals available. picture: tofu amok
Perfect little café in the city center of Kampot. Their coffees and breakfast are delicious, not expensive at all, and perfect before starting your day 😉Went there for breakfast both days I was in Kampot.
Great enterprise! We visited the cafe twice during our stay in Kampot and were always treated amazingly by the staff. We preferred our food the first time, but that might just be because of our choices. We had the special fritters on our first visit, then a BLT and breakfast bruschetta on the second. The fritters were amazing but the bruschetta portion was huge and made the bread go instantly soggy sadly. Coffee was yummy, as are the coolers. Great how you can read about the project and learn some Cambodian sign language too. Thanks!
Found this little gem on Trip Advisor as was rated number one. Went and the food was just soo good and really good prices i ended up going every morning for the rest of our stay in Kampot. The staff are all lovely. The epic brownies are UNREAL. A must visit if your in Kampot. If you dont go you are missing out!!
Great place to eat, the food is amazing and very well presented. It is also run as a community project. Helping and training people with disabilities. This place is full of the nicest and friendly staff you will meet.
Nice place, good wifi, food is solid and tasty, and it has vegetarian and vegan options. Plus it supports local handicapped people. Highly recommend.
I really enjoy having my lunch here!!Amok with fish menu is super yummy!!The brownies is so amazing. (Even keep overnight but the tase still good)Nice place and staff very nice.
Epic Arts and always has been an institution in Kampot. Lots of choices for either breakfast or lunch, desserts and pastries equally as delicious. My go to here are the deep fried spicy Moroccan eggplant rolls with cashew fruit couscous and Tzatziki sauce. It’s truly a culinary wonder, as are their tasty chocolate brownies. All for a good cause and their employees are golden.
Excellent breakfast place! We had breakfast here twice. Try the breakfast bruscetta, massive portion and really tasty. Coffee is also excellent. Good value for money. Clean toilets and excellent service, must try place in kampot.
I really enjoy having my breakfast or lunch here! The carrot cake and the brownies are amazing! The BLT sandwich is super hyped but Id rather go with the panini. The coffees and cold teas are good but Im not a big fan of the shakes (brownie, banana). The waiters are super nice!
Good coffee and delicious musli bowl breakfast...easily enough for two people! Service was fast and easy with the order sheet they gave us and the staff were friendly :There is also a nice atmosphere there with a little garden tucked away in the back streets of Kampot, and all for a reasonable price.
Really nice place! They are supporting good cause. You can buy some beautiful products in the cafe store. They have vegan options. I have tried vegan flapjack which was $2 for gigantic portion!
Really good prices and high quality food! I had the chicken pesto panini, pineapple juice and a Coffee. Misses got a chicken and mayo bagel. The Coffee here is great and the food is of a great quality would recommend to pop in if youre in the area and it supports a great cause the staff are fantastic!
Love the food and how its presented. The social project developed alongside its inspirational. Shop upstairs is a must visit: one of a kind local products 👌
Smiling faces, perfect espresso, delicious, soft banana bread, carefully selected cute plates and cups. My 5th week in Cambodia, first place to provide a glass of water with no extra charge. Nice for the eyes, nice for the palate, not so nice for budget travelers wallet.
Warm, friendly space with an excellent staff! The carrot cake and coffee were delicious. The WiFi was fast and reliable, good ambient music, comfortable work space. Beautiful business concept! I would highly recommend.
Delicious and lovely service. Quality and quantity! They serve you cold water, complimentary of your meal. Price are fair for what you get and the quality you get. Wifi there too. My favourite place to eat in Kampot
One of the best coffee place in town. You can get coffee and pastries there. Go to upstair for great vibe seatings and souvenir store.Open to support people with disability!I love the brownie there, warmed brownie with iced latte. Omg!! So so good! I even packed a banana bread for to-go.
I love this place.I go there to have brunch everytime when i visit kampot. Its such a nice place to have delicious food and drinks. You can also buy some products upstairs, the profit from that support childrens.
Truly epic place! Best espresso I’ve had in Asia. And it’s an NGO, which created this inclusive workplace with employees with disabilities. Inside the cafe you can also buy locally produced silk and cotton scarves. Its located next to cute green square (‚Kampot Central Park’ :)with lots of green plants to see next to.
Definitely worth coming back (we did). We were addicted to its marvelous carrot cake and ginger tea - with fresh ginger. Atmosphere is great to take a rest. Impressively eco-friendly - no plastic straw here and takeaways are given in eco-packs from ground sugarcane.A highlight during our slow-living stay in Kampot.
Wonderful place with a menu that has enough options to satisfy all tastes. Friendly staff and funky, inclusive atmosphere. My boyfriend and I both ordered breakfast options. His food was exceptional, it was the bagel sandwich and he almost didn’t come up for air until the plate was clean. I had some great scrambled eggs and fresh toast - congrats on making the simple something delicious! 👏 that all being said the carrot/apple/ginger juice gave me a 12 hour bout of food poisoning. I wouldn’t include that detail unless I was certain it was the culprit because it’s the only thing that I had and my boyfriend didn’t and we’ve been eating literally the same food for the last week and a half. Once I’m brave enough I will definitely come back!I love the reusable straw/reduce incentive and in the same vein the upstairs local arts shop is really great! Homemade soaps, textiles, illustrations, this is an incredible way to support local while traveling.
This place is amazing, I dont remember when I had such good food the last time. This is the best place we tried in Cambodia. Each dish was so flavorful, BLT, bagel, couscous, panini. Service is very nice and they also have a shop upstairs which sells beautiful art and souvenirs. Must try!
I loved this cafe so much! I came here so many times while staying in Kampot. The menu tells you what is vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free. My favourites were the panini and bagel. The panini was so flavourful and had an amazing size salad. The bagel was so packed full with veggies you couldnt eat it like a sandwich. The sushi and vegan flapjack were also lovely. Everything was so flavourful and the portions were great. Also they will do vegan milk in a coffee or tea for you. Cant speak highly enough of this place.
Great meal at Epic Arts Cafe. Love their system of ordering on a piece of paper. Seems really efficient and theres a mix of expats and travellers there. I had a falafel wrap and it was already deconstructed so it was fun to create it myself. Theres a bit of a feel good factor associated with this place as they want to help other people in need. For example: some of the staff members are deaf. Communicating in sign language isnt a must but it certainly seems to be appreciated.
Nice food. Good prices. Slow service. Cute little souvenirs to buy. Very busy at lunch time, really nice concept behind the cafe.
A cafe with a slice of innovative thinking, good food and a great tea selection. I really enjoyed my visit to Epic Arts Cafe.. it was more an experience then anything. Eye opening to say the least... but i loved the people and the products (theres a little shop upstairs). All in all a MUST VISIT while in Kampot
The good cause stopped me to give a lower rate. The place is nice and the food is good. Upstairs there is a very nice table with view of the park in front. I discovered only after finishing my breakfast/lunch.The food was good, two pieces of plain bread, scrambled eggs and add on bacon $4.5. Quite expensive. The juice was ok, but very small glass.Brownie ok, too strong cinnamon taste for me. The coffee (americano and French presswas really bad. The americano being the worst between the two.We arrived around 11.30am and had our food served at 1pm, after one hour and half. When we went to pay the bill that was around $20, I paid with $100 and they said dont have change, same thing upstairs (where there is a small shop of handmade goods). So then I had to roam around looking for the bank (that was closedand other shops that could change the note. I couldnt find it so I went back with my $100 bill and in the end they had (of coursethe change for me. Probably just lazy or not willing to take a $100 bill, even though the bill was $20 that is not really small amount. Not impressed by the place and experience, but Ill give it another try in the future.
Supporting a good cause. Most staff have a disability and I like it they give them a chance to work here. We ordered through a form because the waiter was deaf I think. He was very friendly in his non verbal contact. The brownie was goof, not as good as another person reviewed but it was good. I tried a carrot ginger juice, very good!
Nice place with a concept I really wanted to support. I sat upstairs, where it was very quite. The Muesli was good, but there could give you more yoghurt. I ordered a large cappuccino, but it wasnt really large and I had much better coffees than this at other places. Anyhow, you should visit when in Kampot.
