Fine wines & Italian dishes using seasonal ingredients served in a sophisticated, low-key setting.
Good food. Menu not too huge.
The food was excellent and authentic Italian. We went for dinner and the room was a big cold as the door was left wide open despite it being quite chilly outside. It also felt staff were a bit too busy as they werent very attentive throughout the meal (forgot to follow up on things, head of household they were too busy to help with allergens, the wrong drink was served just because they felt they couldnt make the one I had ordered and decided to make another one without asking). I am hoping it was an off night as I would definitely go back for the top notch food
Expensive. Small menu. Slow, neglectful but friendly service. Nothing for kids. Tasted good though. Would be a decent place for a business lunch if the service were snappier
Excellent food, unfortunatelly the service is...do not exist.
Wonderful service and amazing produce. Thank you Gabrielli!
The best Italian desserts - those cake were outstanding. We came back the next night to eat a plate of pasta which were also nicely done. Can highly recommend this place
Wonderful experience, very attentive staff and delicious food, Ill definitely be going back.
Food is relatively okay, but not groundbreaking. Its definitely not worth the sky-high prices. Way too expensive for what you get...They also sell various mediterranean groceries (e.g olives, pasta etcwhich is about twice as expensive as even a regular somewhat higher-priced place would ask for.
Excellent lunch, good authentic Italian cuisine, added bonus of a splendid Deli on site. Highly recommended.
Lovely and cosy place, fantastic dishes and friendly staff👍🏻
Ordered a zucchini starter and pasta dish as takeaway. £22.50 was the cost, the serving size was pathetic. What a waste of money
The owner has tons of personality and is super friendly and helpful. Food is very good quality. Excellent coffee too. Indoor and outdoor seating available. I go here any time Im in the area.
We booked and I had to fight to get a decent table outside when they were all empty. Food is ok and drink ok but nothing surprising if I have to be honest.
Authentic Italian fare and market items in a super quaint setting and great location. The staff was very friendly. We stopped in on a hot day for a snack and round of Aperol Spritz. Molto bene!
We visited for lunch on a Thursday. It was a sunny day and we sat on one of their tables outside, which was quite pleasant. We were one of the first to arrive at 12:30pm, but it got a little bit busier later on. Myself and my wife ordered the beef ragout tagliatelle and the lobster tagliolini (which was on special), plus some focaccia bread to start. Both pastas were very good. Cooked perfectly, and the proteins were well seasoned. Portion sizes were definitely on the small side, as other reviewers have mentioned, but one pasta dish, plus some bread and a gelato to finish was enough to fill us up. The gelato too was very nice, as was the rose by the glass that I tried.Service was so-so. Initially things were ok, but as the place got busier the service became quite slow. And this when they were only at half capacity. The bill for the two of us came to just over £100, of which £35 was spent on drinks. Slightly on the high side, but within reason. Overall, we enjoyed our lunch. The food was solid. I would consider returning but would aim for timings when they were less busy, given the speed of service.
We had a fantastic lunch here while we were visiting Holland Park. The food was superb- it could only be bettered by the excellent service we received from the friendly, attentive staff. We were there as a three generation family group. The staff could not have been more considerate when our granddaughter accidentally broke a glass. We also thought that, considering the quality of the food, that it was very reasonably priced. We would fully recommend this restaurant.
Definitely not recommend.Inexperienced employees, very unorganised.Pointless food prepared with cheap supermarket ingredients, not acceptable especially considering the expensive prices. They used to offer very good first courses, unfortunately the management changed and it is simply very bad.Giacomo
Took way too much time for a pre-ordered meal - service was a snails pace but the staff were friendly
Gorgeous food, great service and friendly staff, would highly recommend 💯
The younger guy with dark curly hair that hosts and waits tables is so lovely. Always so kind and thoughtful when I come in. :)
The place has a good vibe but it was EXTREMELY SLOW! Very bad service. We waited around 1 hour and 30 min for 2 pastas… not worth the visit in my opinion
Took a party of 13 customers here for an evening meal and drinks, superb from start to finish everyone enjoyed the food and the service was second to none. Will definitely return
A total delightful experience. The pasta was delicious and the ricotta cannolo unsurpassable. Enoteca Rosso is the authentic taste of Italy delivered in the centre of London. Attached to the restaurant is a superb deli full of Italian foods to take home. Possibly one of the best lunches Ive had this year. Cant wait to go back.
Food and Experience… this is NOT a lie. I was greeted by a wonderful human who led me to my table and made sure I was libated immediately. Sparkling water followed by wine. He was attentive and noticed all my needs, including extra napkins, which were placed, without my asking, on my table. The food itself is of exceptional quality, although I disliked the spicy mayo accompanying the steak tartare… but the freshness and flavours? A yes all round. I would like to thank Jacob/Jack particularly for their service. Very well trained, very well mannered, I was very impressed.Thank you Restaurant Rosso! I had a very lovely time! And now, to bed… almost ♥️♥️♥️
Food is good. Price of dishes is too high though as the quantities are small. Youd need at least two dishes to feel satisfied, making reasonable looking prices not as reasonable as youd think. Only been once and might update my review if my experience is better next time.
Unfortunately the portions for the price are not worth the money. No kid options either. The service was slow and we had to chase the waitress to get our bill. I’m not sure if we will go back. The food was average. Not bad but not great either.
The place is very beautiful and the quality of the ingredients and drinks are very good.Service needs to be revised and reorganised. No communication between staff and with customers. After waiting 20 minutes for 2 panini at 4pm (Sunday, place was VERY quietwe decided to leave. No one came to a knowledge the delay. Only a "sorry" when we left.
Average Italian Restaurant. Would have rated 4 stars based on the food taste but removing a star for pricing. £16 for a small portion of gnocchi is not reasonable even though it tasted good. Staff is ok-ish, service also, nothing special. Products seem to be sourced from Italy at least as they have a shop also. Probably wouldn’t come back. I do however applaud the vegan options on the menu.
Booked this place before a show at the Albert Hall this evening and feel I have to say how bad it was!! Service was so slow (waiter was greatfrom the bar as the bar staff had issues if you asked what gin they had ?? Food arrived cold but no point sending back as arrived so late would have missed out show! You need to have a look at your staff we was the only table in there at 1900hrs there’s your clue! Never again
This is now one of my favourite places to visit. The service, the atmosphere, the decor - all excellent. I had only a coffee and biscuit but I will definitely return for a meal.
Is a nice place, great idea and the food is ok (was expecting a but more), however the service is very bad, slow and not attentive at all, we even got the wrong bill sent to our table with double the amount! Also, the menu for lunch is not the same you find online, is much more simple.
Lovely meal at this restaurant. Popped in for a drink. The select spritza was very good. Since we were comfortable there decided to investigate the menu. We really enjoyed the wild boar and the duck breasts. Toyed with the idea of the pasta especially since they had gluten free pasta but decided against this time. The sweet we choose was the ice cream which was vegan plus during coffee and brandy which you added to the ice cream. Very tasty. Good friendly service. But pricey but then I am not used to London prices.
My kids love this place. They can choose their own ingredients for their roll from the counter - its an experience on its own.The chefs are so accommodating with them.
The service was extremely slow even tho the reataurant wasnt busy.No one has even bothered asking if I wanted some tap water. The pasta was average, the portion was small. The mascarpone of the tiramisù was watery, the coffee along with it was not a shot, it was definitely too watery.Over prizedLeaving thirsty and a bit hungry
Extremely good Italian place. Perfect food, friendly staff. Big menu. They have good store with fresh products, made-to-order paninis and desserts. Good atmosphere, good to sit and work with coffee or to have full dinner.
LOVE this place. Amazing service, beautiful, authentic food, and a shop area stocked with carefully curated Italian staples. Every bite, every sip, was enjoyable. It wasn’t busy the afternoon I was there, I stumbled on Rosso after being turned away from the Design Museum up the street for not having a pre-purchased ticket. The staff at Rosso let me stay as long as I wanted.I wanted to try so many things, and the server was patient and attentive. He guided me through a delicious brunch, I tried new things, every single thing, I enjoyed! Thank you for making, what could’ve been a lost day in the city, an adventure.
Italian food and wine at its best. Options for vegans and vegetarians. Fresh pasta and sauces served in healthy portion sizes. Selection of wine offering a range of options from most regions. Friendly staff and the added bonus of the Deli offering everything we miss from Italia.
Dessert was delicious, starters not as expected & it’s not as described as in the menu. They need more waiters as service was a little too slow.
First of all, the service was really bad. Our waitress was extremely rude and had an attitude because we asked for some balsamic vinegar with our burrata? Second of all, that buratta was honestly underwhelming. The cheese was fine but then they just chopped up some tomatoes on the side and drizzled some pesto. The spaghetti was tiny as well, very small portion. Sauce was very watery, and no parmesan cheese or anything. Overall very disappointing experience.
Great restaurant. They cook with quality Italian ingredients and you can taste the difference! Im not usually very excited about pasta but this place really makes amazing dishes.
Pros:- We (party of 3turned up without a reservation at 7pm, 2 days before the second lockdown and they made an effort to find us a table straight away.- Our waiter was very friendly and certainly working as hard as he possibly could.Cons:- Only two waiters were working and the restaurant was full which meant the service was incredibly slow and we really had to make an effort to catch our waiters attention to order more drinks etc. Food/drinks also took a long time to arrive.- The food was average (I had their spaghetti allamatricianaand the portion sizes are tiny.- The bottles of wine are overpriced and the pricing doesnt make much sense. Its £7 for a glass of wine (fineand £44 for a bottle of the same wine.I personally wouldnt go back, which is a shame as I like to support neighbourhood restaurants.
A pleasant surprise near Design Museum. Why going left to any Italian chain restaurant when you can turn right and enjoy a classier local Italian? Great service and reasonable prices, a few twists on traditional dishes. Remember there are not many tables.
Went on a date night with the wife. Tried the focaccia and olives starter and the burger. Burger was OK but a bit cold and took 10 mins too long to arrive. Wine was pretty decent for the price. Staff was very nice to deal with and gave us free olives to apologise for the delay in our order.
Everything here is so good!!!From the service to the wine up to their food, awesome. At first, my boyfriend and I just wanted to buy some wine for our dinner yet we were amazed they have great menu and its so satisfying. Their pastas are superb! I cant wait to go back here.
I was here twice and I did not like it.The waiters do not really care about you.On the door they wanted to send us away even though there was enough space. They didnt even offer the space at the bar. After asking again and insisting we were even offered a huge table (so there was apparently space for us...not really understandable this procedure). The vine was of course good. But the juice was from Happy Days. I expect better quality from a place like that. The first time I was there I had some appetisers. I cannot recommend the cheese and the bread. The second time we were told that the kitchen was already closed (at 9pm). But other guests that came even later were served food. How can I as a customer understand a behaviour like this?I felt not welcomed and the staff treated us almost in a condescending kind of way as if we as customers wouldnt be important at all. There a definitely enough other places around here to go to. I will not go there again.
I visited last Sunday for the bottomless prosecco brunch. Definitely a 5 stars ⭐️ huge variety and selection in the buffet with raw and cooked veg, cheese, freshly backed bread, cured meat, fruit and much more! Plus the vegan main pink beetroot tagliatelle with sautéed mushroom on a bed of cauliflower sautéed was incredible! I will definitely visit again
We tried a very nice aperitif.. will get more out of it after a proper meal..great choice of wines and super easygoing staff
We went for brunch which was great. The interior of the restaurant is lovely. Lots of space and friendly staff, which is just want you need for a relaxed weekend morning. The food was excellent. A few interesting breakfast options on the menu which made a nice change from the usual eggs Benedict. I would have no hesitation recommending it.
Very good choice of Italian wines, cured meats and cheese. Great for a drink with family and friends.
It is a great place. The restaurant is stylish and the welcome of the manager and his team is warm. You definitely feel at home. The wine list is ample and the quality is excellent. The food is very good and any dish has its own peculiarity. It is a good place just to have a glass of wine with your friends or to spend the evening eating home made pasta and drinking excellent wine of small Italian producers.
