This is for sure a very good experience, in one of the most iconic Italian restaurants. This family enoteca is a piece of Firenze history and deserves to be tried at least once. The cuisine is good, nothing incredible, but everything is well prepared. The place is elegant and charming. Where the excellence comes is the service. The personnel is just incredible, one of the best I had in my life. Everyone is welcoming, smiling and happy. They will do their best to let you have a unforgettable moment. The service is as important as the meal, thats the reason I gave 5 stars. The cuisine probably deserves a 4, but the service deserves a 6.

Must visit, no questions! We are from the states and booked this on a whim. Service is outstanding, and there was someone always there to help. The food was terrific and full of surprises. As soon as you sit, you are greeted with a special surprise. The wine menu was impressive, as well as the water menu. Loved the intimate feel in such a large restaurant. You can watch the cooks in the kitchen while you eat. Everything is perfect, from the cheese cart to the chocolate cart. The take-home surprise is the cherry on top. If you are looking for that wow factor, look no further! I’m not a good critic, but I’ve been to multiple Michelin star restaurants and this is at the top!

Wonderful experience for our anniversary! We were treated exactly like I would expect at a Michelin restaurant. The staff were very attentive and there was no language barrier. The food was fantastic as was the wine pairing. The wine book was intimidating but the staff were very helpful in navigating it for us without trying to upsell us. Overall we had a great experience. They gave us different menus, however. My menu (femaledid not have prices on it, and my husbands did. I understand this might be a cultural difference, but it was not something we (Americansare use to.

Hi, me and my husband just had dinner at this restaurant yesterday. And it was a bit disappointing from the beginning. When we entered the restaurant , after the group of 4 people ( 3 men and 1 women). We were questioned from where we are coming - I said the hotel name, my husband city where we are coming from. But the question were strange. Then they stopped my husband and told that the rule is the the sleeves should be down on his shirt - which ok we can understand it ( even if it is 35 degrees outsideand on the dress code rule it is written that no shirts with a short sleeves. So they were waiting for my husband to put down the sleeves. After that we entering the room and the family which were before us is sitting where all 3 men has their sleeves on their shirts up and nobody told them to roll them down. For me it was quite discriminating. But if the 3 Michelin star restaurant setting up the rules, then they should be for everyone. The dinner food was average - we were having a tasting menu. Out of all meals - I liked the cheese and one course. The service were good except the sommelier - he was a bit rude and were not looking after our glasses - we needed to be asking a lot for our wine. We spend 1200 euro with alcohol and food and I would say that with this attitude and pretentiousness - never would recommend this place. At the end I told the guy who asked my husband to put down the sleeves - that he can’t deiced which guest and how he will treat - he told that he didn’t notice other 3 men in front of that their sleeves up - I think a least he could apologize for being selective. I usually never write google reviews - but i told him for this kind of experience I will definitely write a review.

Terrible experience. Waste of 1000 euros. We live in NYC and been to some of NYC’s best restaurants and paid less for their tasting menu. If you go, do not get the wine pairing! It’s a waste. €200 per person for three pairings that are unlimited, but they only give you a splash of wine each time leaving you waiting for more wine each time. Barely had three full glasses of wine with our meal for that price. We could have definitely ordered two full bottles of wine for less and had more. They were tasty, but not worth the price. Now service. They tried to be on top of it, and they are all super nice, but compared to Daniel in NYC, the experience is lacking, and you pay less! Like I said before. We were left numerous times without anything to drink. They served the entree without the final red wine pairing! With service my husband got up and asked where the bathrooms were and the waiter responded, your next courses is on its way. And my husband said okay, I didn’t ask for that I asked where the bathroom was, and he was like oh, okay. And then had someone else’s reluctantly show him! We paid enough money to accommodate us to use the restroom without worrying about or next course. The food. Some of it was inventive and tasty, but overall it’s nothing special and not deserving of the price. Please, save your money and go else where. The bathrooms. No soap… Literally the two private restrooms have a sink and cloth towels but no soap, not even a place for soap… Need I say more?Michelin please knock off their rating! It doesn’t deserve this! We wasted our money!

Absolutely fantastic wine list. Great ambiance. Food was good too, but pales when compared to the vino. Restrooms needed attention unfortunately.

Pinchiorri struggles to maintain the balance between creativity and palatability - compensating for the lack of the former with inexplicable flavor combinations that should never be plated together. Pea loaf and horseradish ice cream would more reasonably be a dish on “fear factor” than a Michelin guide dessert. The disappointing food was coupled with a dull dining area with four couples in close proximity - devoid of any tasteful background noise that would allow anyone to have a truly private conversation without whispering in their partner’s ear. After telling the sommelier we would go light on wine as we had spent the entire day tasting wines in Tuscany - he persistently tried to upsell us on a ~$600 wine pairing. It genuinely felt like an uncomfortable confrontation where he did not want us to get away with wine by the glass. The one couple in our dining area that conceded to the overpriced pairing was naturally treated significantly better throughout the night; while we departed the restaurant without a “goodbye” from the sommelier after paying the ~$500 bill, they were offered a private tour of the wine cellar downstairs. We left Florence yesterday and were lucky enough to dine at La Pergola in Rome tonight. The two are simply not in the same league. It won’t be long before Pinchiorri loses its Michelin designation and is forced to drop its prices to match the restaurant’s quality. Until then, it simply isn’t worth the reservation.

We came here for our anniversary. To say that it was disappointing would be an understatement. We ate at a michellin-starred restaurant each of our anniversaries, and this was supposed to be thecrème de la crème, alas, after dinner, she told me she wouldve been happier eating Pizza and that this was definitely the worst anniversary dinner we had.Good: The service is exceptional and we felt really well taken care of. Wine list is really vast, but you cant find anything decent under 200 Euro. This was a bit surprising, esp given that we are in Europe. The wine we picked was exceptional and we enjoyed it very much (probably the best part of the dinner experience).Bad: Food. You come here for food, but wow it was really, really disappointing (Ravioli was good). You would expect a masterful pasta dish in Italy (let alone a 3 star restaurant in Italy), but our Capellini tasted like a cheap soba noodle that you would get in a $10 Japanese restaurant. The bread + gravy was an insulting dish. I had more delicious bread with very fine olive oil and/or butter. Pork was OK, but I definitely had better pork (e.g. Essencia in Budapest, where the pork rivaled the best Wagyu I ever had).Desserts were OK, but dont expect masterpiece like Birds Nest served at Aquavit. You are going to spend at least ~400-500 euro per person. My recommendation if you want to treat out your gf / wife? Go eat a nice pizza or 20 euro pasta and buy her a nice bag or cloth with that money. She will be much happier and you wont be in the dog house like me.

Enoteca Pinchiorri really is a special place. Everything is extremely curated, down to the last detail. They wine list is one of the best in the world. Four stars because we found the food really too heavy. We ce over the Christmas holidays and hence it was a wintery and earthy degustation menu. It was special, as you would expect from a three Michelin Stars restaurant, but we left feeling heavy and overwhelmed. The wine list is also extremely expensive. Fabulous, but you really have to be a super wine expert to appreciate the quality and the cost.

Definitely one of the best restaurants in Italy! Have had their food on numerous occasions and it always was exceptional. The food was excellent and the service from the wait staff was impeccable. However, the service from the sommelier was inexcusable. We got one of the lower priced pairings, which was still several hundred dollars. I guess the (relativelycheap choice made our table not worth the sommeliers attention. He stood at the table beside us talking in French to a couple for about 80% of our meal, while we only got a few brief sentences about each of our three wines. The most egregious issue however is that he neglected to serve us the second of the wines for two full courses. We sat there with empty wine glasses with him 5 ft away ignoring us. For such an expensive pairing, it really put a damper on the evening. I recommend avoiding the pairing options unless youre going for one of the even more extremely pricey options that might make your table worth the sommeliers time....

TLDR; spend your money elsewhere with a friendlier sommelier and more food with substance. Our first 3 Michelin star restaurants (lots of 1 and 2sand what a disappointment. There were small delights throughout the evening, but overall the sommeliers attitude and the general variety of the food made this experience 1 star for us.I told the sommelier we were looking for a dry white wine, normally this kicks off a great conversation. Instead, he pointed out 3 bottles at 400€, 600€ and 800€, with no descriptions. I then said okay well I’d like something less than 200€ (which they definitely had!He showed me a 225€, 250€ and 275€ bottle. I pushed again and said okay “how about this section?” Where there were many bottles under 200. He then went back to the 275€ bottle and said I’d really recommend this one. At that point I was annoyed I just shut the wine book and said “okay fine.” Obviously it was amazing but for the price I was paying I’d expected to have an insightful conversation with the sommelier. On to the food: we got the full tasting menu and almost everything was pudding or gelatin based. I get being contemporary but you’ve lost me on being innovative when it’s pudding after pudding after pudding. My partner and I joked that we must’ve been at an old folks home because nothing we ate needed teeth lol. The menu was uninspiring and all I can really remember is the odd texture of everything.Highlights: water menu, chocolate course, waitstaff service, take home Olive oil.

Excellent service, small gifts and extras, however the food was nothing special. We had the "Contemporary" menu, we wanted to try it all. It was just ok, however not 3 Michelin standard. We had much better and "to remember" tasting menus in other restaurants for 1/3 of the price, without the 3 Michelin stars.

Terrific restaurant. From the minute you enter this restaurant, you would immediately feel that you’ll be receiving a 3 started Michelin service. There were more staff that I can count, and the owner was at the door waiting to welcome you. They had a live pianist and fresh flowers everywhere. The lightning was perfect and full of romance. The serenity of this restaurant and the overall environment, dramatically contrast the business of Florence. It was a nice get away for the evening! We were seated in a nice table for two- the chairs were very comfortable and the table was welcoming. Almost all their silverware and table setting had their monogram in it!The food was terrific! We had the contemporary tasting menu and every course was full of surprise and purely delicious. The food was very creative, presented well, and tasted so scrumptious! Each course left me curious for the next! :)Couple of key moments for me: Annie Fiolde came out and spoke with us (with every table in fact)! How terrific! :). Secondly, it was my wife and I’s anniversary and brought us a nice cake to blow and the pianist played a special song for us. How neat! They didn’t it so gracefully that it seemed appropriate for a high end restaurant to do!At the end of the meal they offered to call a taxi, helped my wife with her jacket, gave her a long stemmed rose, and walked us out. From the minute we enter to the time we left, It was terrific!ONLY thing that took me back a bit… is the cost of a nonalcoholic cocktail- it was basically a Pina colada, and it was 30 euro. That’s 1/10th cost of out meal. I suppose since they have 3 Michelin stars, they can do that.Nonetheless, our overall experience was amazing and we would likely return here again when we’re back in Florence. Good job to the staff and chef…

Salty food. Barking dog. Confusing service. Insulting wine service. Nothing at all as we expected. We always choose the best restaurant in every city we visit. We thought this would be but turned out to a terrible experience. We had hope of being awed by something but NOTHING. To top it off I was sick to my stomach all night. Avoid at all costs.

My husband and I decided before we went on our 2 week trip in Italy, that we wanted to eat at a Michelin Star restaurant and I did a lot of research online for where to go and so happy we decided to have our special dinner here. The service a impeccable and the food was devine. We had a lovely table right next to the window at the front of the restaurant and our night could not have been better. The food was as much art as it was delicious. We did the contemporary tasting menu and the sommelier recommended a wonderful bottle of wine to pair well with all the courses. Did I mention the wine celler?? Oh my goodness the tour at the end of the dinner of the cellar was so amazing. This dinner will live in our memory for a lifetime.

Honestly this place has lost the plot. The servers are very attentive —- but lost once something unusual happens and in our case managed to make everyone at the table uncomfortable. The food is rich and complex —- but massively overpriced compared to any number of one star restaurants that are of similar quality and much fresher. The staff were not curious when we did not finish ours. The wine list has hardly anything below 350 for a bottle —- and even at this level we were made to feel like maybe we should have gone somewhere more appropriate to our kind of people —- but isn’t it the mark of a top sommelier that he or she can recommend something mindblowingly good for half that amount? (What we got was only mediocre). The interior (an exposed courtyard on a summer eveningwas great. If you want to impress someone, or if you can’t tell if the food was good until you count the number of zeros on the bill then perhaps this place is for you; otherwise I can’t recommend it.Lastly, this is hardly the first review in this vein; but I read and discounted them because I wanted to see for myself. Don’t make the same mistake!

Surreal experience in Florence. We enjoyed very high quality dish, service and wine. I had nevery seen such a thick wine menu in which there are variety of wine. Some of them are more than 10,000euros, but dont worry. There are some tasting courses with much lower price.Food is also amazing. Each plate is not so big but many plates are included in the course so I was totally full.It may take mores than 3 hours to finish the dinner, and after that we can go and see huge wine celler. You can find historical bottles of wine there such as the one made in 19th century. One of the most expensive restaurants in my life but definitely its worth it.

- Called in the morning and luckily they had a cancellation, so we can get a table.- Very surprisingly impressive wine collection. Unfortunately, couldn’t afford to spend thousands to have a taste of their best wine. But if you love wine and don’t mind spending a lot, they really DO have the best collections that you can’t buy even if you are rich.- Had the contemporary tasting menu for two. The table has to order the same tasting menu.- Ordered a bottle of red. $200ish. If you choose wine pairing menu, it’s $200 per person.- Sommelier wore a specially tailored suit for his profession. He is very proud of what he does.- Total cost of $850+ for two- Friendly staff and very knowledgeable of their areas, i.e. wine, cheese, desserts, etc. There were more staff around than the number of guests. We felt a bit overwhelmed. I personally prefer the staff-usually-invisible-and-they-show-up-when-you-need-them style.- Very friendly owner. Mrs. Pinchiorri was saying happy birthday with staff to a young couple at the other table.- Love Lily the cute dog :She helped to ease my guilt of leaving my dogs home and enjoying the great food by myself.Overall, food was great and gave me a wow, but not wow-wow-this-is-unimaginable type of wow. I guess I need to make more money to spend more to get that kind of wow-wow?

Alright...I and my wife went there two nights in a row. First night we tried a tasting 7 course menu, second night we went from the regular menu. Either way, this and the underwater restaurant on Maldives are my two favorite restaurants so far. Note we are not wine drinkers so I am only talking about food. If wine is your thing, the Enoteca is your place. The wine list is the size of encyclopedia Britannica...it is just mind boggling. Back to the food...there was not a single thing I did not like. Not a single...I even ate snails and I liked them. All of the deserts (having tasted all todayare splendid. The picture below is the chocolate desert on menu. Just look at it! Art! The vibe is very delicate and the staff are soooo warm and welcoming. I cannot recommend it more. Places like this one should be treasured and appreciated. Bravo Enoteca Pinchiorri! Best meal of my life, an experience as gorgeous as the city of Firenze. Spectacular and inventive (fish milk?, bell pepper jello?), totally elevated Italian cuisine. I had the standard (not seasonaltasting menu, and every dish seemed to be better the last. Complex flavors without being overdone (although I enjoyed the pretentious water menu). The only imperfection I could find was that one of the snails had eaten a rock, and that resulted in one very unpleasant bite. Otherwise flawless from start to end.Expect to stay for a long time. They promised me the meal would last two hours, and instead it lasted over three hours and stressed me out towards the end due to other commitments that I was almost late for. But all is forgiven because the food was so amazing. Totally worth all $400 and all three Michelin stars. The meal was beyond words. I have attached a photo of what it’s like to eat here. A wilting restaurant like the flowers they put on your table. Now we know 3 stars is excellence on all levels so they are judges based on that.We started off with walking into a very dull room, bland and lacking a luxurious feel. As we started off we were greeted by friendly staff but you could tell there was a few lacking experience. Our tasting menu began and we were confused by the multiple servers describing our meals. As soon as we were comfortable with one describing our meals the next one was talked about by another person (possible training). These dishes had no passion no story and it showed. We had 1 main sommelier who was helpful but when I selected my pairing he said “are you sure about that?” Making me feel like I shouldn’t order this but with not counter suggestion. We then at random we’re dealing with a different person for our wine pairings. Very unorganized and it did not feel personal. There was maybe one dish of our tasting that was above average but not one was exceptional. Nothing stood out or wowed me. Very very disappointing. Dishes were brought out separately and even while 2 of the people were using the restroom. So their food just went cold for a few minutes. The bread we were provided which most 3 stars do usually share with a unique types of breads, spreads, oils etc but we were just handed stale bread. The table centerpieces were actually dead! Wilted and molding. I felt this was a true representation of our meal, service, and experience.... wilting and moldy. This place needs an awakening because it falls short to every 3 star, 2 star and most 1 star Michelin restaurants I have been.I am not covering everything but I’m sure you can take something from this review. I will share photos as well. Thank you

Not a meal, an experience. From the start when we are greeted by the owner and manager to the end as we finished with a tour of their world acclaimed wine cellar - this was dinner and a show. A show of impeccable attention to detail in every instance of dining. We opted for the nine course seasonal menu. Each course fantastically planned, paired with its own unique silverware set. It was hard to pick our favorite. Dessert probably with the selection of after dinner chocolates. Not a wine menu - a wine Bible. A menu just for water. All in all expect to pay about $500 a person if opting for a bottle of wine - the least expensive is $150 a bottle. More of you are pairing it with wine. Overall an excellent night, well recommended.

In an unassuming street, the entrance leads to a stone courtyard converted into restaurant dining area. This is one of the top-rated Nouvelle Cuisine Italienne type restaurants. I took the Discovery Menu, a sampling of several dishes with the recommended wine. Absolutely perfect, charming and delightful in every manner. It is very much a special occasion place costing hundreds of euros per person.

I wanted to try one of the best Michelin 3 star restaurants in the world, also known for having the best wine cellar in Italy (and one of the 10 best in the world.). I got the 7 course tasting meal which was excellent. However the two different glasses of red wine were outrageously good. It makes me think I have been drinking swill until now. Also had a sampling of some of the best regional cheeses (for 40 Euro upcharge. Service was outstanding with more waiters than patrons. It was a memorable experience. However, it was 435 euros for one person - gag! Recommended if you have the money.

The pros: A small quiet place, with a handful of tables big enough to have a private conversation and an extensive wine list. Food flavour and preparation are not bad but certainly not particularly Florentine and nothing to write home about. The cons: This restaurant feels like a trap rather than a culinary experience. I love great wine and enjoy discovering new references but a wine list thick like a phone-book where any wine, even common familiar references are all above 250 euro has the feeling of a trick. Of course we like great wine references and can pay for it but I would expect a Michelin star restaurant to have a decent selection of wines in the 100 to 200 euro range as well. Service is uptight, and can even feel pretentious and distant. The night we went there were no Italian guests around. Locals know better and avoid this place. We were all foreign. I guess we all followed the Michelin recommendation. Big mistake. A city like Florence has plenty to offer better than Enoteca Pinchiorri. To make matters worse we were asked to wear jackets in a hot July Saturday dinner but didnt mention it at the time of the reservation. They even had the nerve to suggest we should have read their website beforehand. We didnt need to have such an unpleasant experience and decided on the spot to cut it short and avoid the bad attitude, have just one plate, the cheapest wine and leave early. Anyway, certainly not a restaurant I would ever go back nor recommend. One more proof to me that the Michelin guide in Italy cannot be trusted, it’s a lie or someones chain of favours. If this is a Michelin starred restaurant … the guide is useless in Italy.

I went with a party of 7 to Enoteca Pinchiorri a week ago while visiting Florence. It was a last second reservation and we were very excited to experience it. The food was not up to the standard of the other 3-star Michelin Restaurants Ive dined at. We did the longer tasting menu and only 2 or 3 of the courses were what I would consider amazing. The service wasnt very crisp either, as they didnt serve the women in our party first all the time. The most egregious issue of the dinner though was for our parties last bottle of wine, a woman in our party requested a 2012 Rhone. The sommelier brought back a 1990 of the same wine. The woman corrected him and noted she ordered the 2012. He seemed to understand, left, and then returned with a bottle that was never presented before decanting. After decanting he brought it for tasting and someone noted that they believe this was still the 1990 bottle. The sommelier immediately was unable to communicate in English (even though he had been perfectly capable for the first 4 or 5 bottles we ordered). The difference in price between the 2012 and 1990 was 1,000 Euros. It was truly a very poor experience. Even when you get the bottles you do request, the prices on the wine list are astronomical. But trying to swallow an extra 1,000 euros that you didnt even order (hell if we were going to be in that stratosphere we would have at least ordered a first growth Bordeaux). I wouldnt recommend this restaurant.

What you would expect from a 3 Michelin star restaurant. We have the taster menu for 2 persons. Service was exceptional, and so was the wine that our sommelier helped us pick. The food was also some of the best we have had, however, it did not meet our expectations for a 3 starred restaurant especially for the price. I cannot judge for the main courses as we didn’t have any. Overall a great experience worth trying if you are in Florence and are looking for something special.

I can definitely see why this place received a 3-star Michelin rating. The food was fantastic. It was beyond amazing and service was impeccable. The portion sizes actually filled you up by the end of the meal. Everything was spectacular. Surprisingly enough, I dont think you need to necessarily make reservations here since I found the place to be pretty empty, but then again, not everyone is willing to dish out 300 EUR, per person, just for food, for a meal. Im glad I got to check this place off my list of restaurants.

Service was over the top perfection. Food was flavor rich. 20 pound menu of wines into the thousands $$$. Even a menu of water with PH balances! Highly recommend

Very famous restaurant in Florence. Overall good food with an excellent choice of wine. We were slightly disappointed by the service because some young staff was not too friendly and never asked if we like food. We complained about too salty meat. It was so salty that we could hardly eat it and they answer was very cold Iceland that it should be like this. I also find mineral water for 10 to 40 EUR overpriced.

Had a very pleasant experience. Very calm and unpretentious. Owner and staff were the most courteous. Albeit the dishes showed a great deal of finesse and technique, we were not mesmerized by that umptuous feeling you get from a 3-Michelin started restaurant. Not the best we have been to in the three-star league but you will definitely not be disappointed.

Had a great dinner at Enoteca Pinchiorri in May 2016. Overall the food was delicious and the couple of pasta dishes were the clear stand outs.I would say that it does not feel in the same league of other 3 star restaurants I have been to (Eleven Madison, Grace, Alinea, Benu, Pierre Gagnaire, etc). The actual WOW factor dishes were few. Nevertheless, the food was solid overall and we had a great time.
