Italian wine bar & shop with fine vintages, specialty beers & small plates, savory or sweet.
Best Italian food in Los Gatos. Vast wine selection and good service. I’ve always had a positive experience at tec
Great tonno salad, fresh delish glass of champagne, wonderful after a long hike!
A great wine bar with absolutely delicious food. The staff is beyond professional and a natural kindness. The best authentic Italian food in Los Gatos.
It’s good but expensive for what you get. A burrata salad is the most expensive in the whole Bay Area. Cassio Pepe was great and the tuna salad great too. Election of wines is ok. And tiramisu was good. They have a patio and are pet friendly. They have heaters outside. Service is not the best.
Great service great food and amizing wine
pros: nice indoor and outdoor, delicious food, friendly and attentive server, accommodating substitutions.Cons: limited menu
Server needs to learn mannersRestaurant was empty n she started rushing us yo order within minutes of getting seated n cited 2 hour limit per tableRUDE N ILL MANNEREDMenu v limitedTHEY TRIED TO ADDRESS IT BY OFFERING A DISCOUNT BUT ITS A HARD ISSUE TO FIX AFTER INSULTING YOUR PAYING GUESTWONT N RETURNING
Our favorite date night location. Great wines and food.
Low key, easy parking, really nice selection of wines. They also serve hot pasta which is new since I was last there (admittedly a long time ago!!!). Service is also very good.
Great food wine & service. Love the wine tasting dinners
Authentic Italian experience. We quite enjoyed the 5 - meat and cheese platter and three olive sampler, plus some of their wine selection.Fun, attentive owner (somalierand staff, although we did have to wait a bit (it was a slow, late Tuesday afternoon, with minimal staff).Overall a nice, late lunch.Note: Upcoming Tasting Event Tuesday 4/26/22 with winemakers from Italy, Greece and elsewhere. Sounds like great experience.
Good collection of wine. They don’t serve cocktails. Our server was nice enough to explain the concept behind our food.Lots is seating and parking is easy. They do close early.
The server was wonderful, the food was fresh and delicious. The ambience was a little loud and cold, not a very romantic place. Dont come to this place if your in a rush or looking for a quick dinner, definitely a place that takes a while to get your orders.
Decent wine selection and friendly staff. They were ready to help with wine selection and accomdated our questions. We were here for late afternoon wine tasting and it worked well for that purpose. The wine plate was a bit below our expectations but overall decent visit.
Excellent italian appetizers and pastas! Their Tricolore pesto Crostinis are delicious, and the Fettuccine pasta too!
Chardonnay Wine $15.00 a glass. Terrible tasting. Meatball sandwich served on stone slab $13.00 nothing with it. Felt like I was eating on the table.Table totally unstable. Obviously many attempts to keep in from moving. Should have a permanent fix. I was one of four and had to leave early. Server was most annoyed that I wanted a separate check. I left cash.Only positive comment is there is ample parking.
Location is great and staff is very friendly. However, the food leaves much to be desired. If you care about getting good food at a good price point (for Los Gatos), this is not the place for you. Highly recommend Aldos a little further north towards Campbell.Note, I cant comment on the wine offerings.Heres what we ordered:Piccante Crostini ($8- the menu does say a Trio of Toasted baguette Crostini with toppings. However, what we got are three tiny crostini (each no more than 4" (Heightby 1" (Widthwith just barely anything on top, served on a very large charcuterie (?board.Meatball plate ($16- 3 meatballs with not a lot of tomato sauce. They were good BUT nothing special.Ravioli with mushrooms and Truffles ($22- 5-6 raviolis (served once again in a large plate). You can get better ravioli at Trader joes - thats all.At this point, we had enough and decided to leave. So for ~$52, we ended up getting paltry portion sizes - if the quality of the food was exceptional, maybe that would have been ok BUT that wasnt the case either. We left still hungry and disappointed.
Great venue and wine selection for dinner or hosting a gathering with a group of friends. The ravioli stood out the most and the desert wine stood out the most!
The only nice vibes! It was one of the nicest places around, friendly, food selection, vines and even prices was great!
Enoteca La Storia is a gathering spot for sharing, exploring and savoring fine wines and satisfying dishes in the company of friends and family. Inspired by Italy’s rustic tasting rooms, sublime cuisine and distinct culture where guests are invited to elevate their understanding and appreciation of Italian and Italian American traditions with not only Italian wines, but with fine wines from around the world.
Met family there for the second time, as dinner in October of 2020 was delicious, though service was slow then also . This time the service was beyond slow, and my entree was inedible. Pasta dry, cold, stuck together, chicken on the side was cold and dry. My son enjoyed the appetizers, and his entree was just OK; I should have sent mine back. Totally overpriced and unacceptable quality. So disappointing!
I tried the pepperonata and the pasta was very dry and had no flavor. The sweet peppers and onions couldnt bring enough moisture to the dish. Even the sweet sausage was dry. Im not sure if it was overcooked or previously frozen. Disappointing dinner for me.
The wines are pretty good and I enjoy hanging out in the patio on a warm afternoon. I am also in love withthe carrot cake. They serve them in little squares and its the perfect amount of sweetness to end a meal. The cake is the owners family recipe.
A very nice, stylish and cozy little restaurant. Nice staff and service is very good. They have a very nice wine selection at a reasonable price. Pasta dishes are alright but sandwich and pannis are fantastic.
I really like this place. Its like a fancy wine bar, but with the charm and atmosphere of a local hangout..people are super nice, help us- less than knowledgeable-wine people make great choices and it feels warm, relaxing and welcoming. I will be going back soon!
Best Italian Ive been to since being in America. Authentic (to my knowledge), great service, and good portion sizes - I can enjoy a 3 course meal here. They have an amazing affordable selection of wine from around the world, recommend buying a bottle as its better value for money. If you like eating outside they have a lovely outdoor area.
We love to have a glass of wine (it two :-here, and have discovered the food is fantastic as well. Great service staff, too!
During this most challenging time of fighting an invisible enemy, I am thankful Enoteca La Storia is open. Food was ready very quickly. Hot. Pick Up was stress free and convenient. Rigatoni was fantastic. Thank You to their staff. Excellent.
Great small plates, large plates, and wine, of course. If youre a member of their club, the knowledgeable owner will regail you with stories of his recent acquisitions and the history of certain wines. You likely wont be leaving without a bottle or two.
Enoteca is centrally located in Los Gatos and has a great wine menu and club. The only downside is is it’s very difficult to get in there and at night. It always smells delicious coming through the door. Great small plates.
Check out the bottom of the receipt. Had they put it as voluntary, I would have probably paid more...know I wont return. The waitress forgot to out in the chicken addition to the pasta do she brought it out separately several minutes later...as the pasta chilled off. No dessert or comp offered....just poor service... the meatball sub was very good though.
Incredible! One of the best meals Ive had in California. Took a great wine flight, had spectacular bruschetta & panini, and topped it of with an insanely good chocolate tart and coffee. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable too! If you are looking for a spectacular outdoor late lunch, I highly recommend Enoteca La Storia.
Lovely wine bar. Went here with a large group of friends and they were super accommodating after it was determined we did not have a reservation. Highly recommend that you get both wine and food here. There are some amazing selections and the food is to die for.
Have to admit I was a little underwhelmed by the food here. Burrata sample plate was by far the highlight of my visit. Love the decor. The other dishes ordered just were not that flavorful. Will return and give another shot sometime.
Wonderful place! My wonderful fiancee and I come here for the wine tastings all the time. The food is fantastic and we know at least half the staff by name. Staff is very knowledgable about the wines and they have a fantastic selection for all budgets. Highly recommend!
Great wine selections and delicious food options. Friendly albeit sometimes slow service. Becoming one of my new favorites for late lunch.
They bottle their own Pinot Noir wine and serve great panini
$18 for this salad(see picture). Menu doesnt help. Waitress didnt help either.
The owner, Joe, was very sweet and accommodating. The server was nice but could have been a little more efficient. Joe gave us a Tomato Specials menu. Great, but all items except 1 were sold out...at 12:30 pm? The salads were great. My niece enjoyed her cold cuts/salami sandwich. My meatball sandwich was cold, dry, and came with no side. My niece and I were both celebrating our birthdays, but no offer of a birthday treat. Disappointing. We might try it again.
We found this place by surprise and though it is in a weird location, theyve hidden it nicely with vines and shrubs. You can try wines at the bar for tastings of international wines or sit on the patio for appetizers and pasta dishes. Its small but has a lovely local feel.
We went in and the place is nice looking, I was waiting for service at the bar and they seemed to be to busy talking to co workers. I was pointed to the owner and his wife in hopes that they would greet and shake peoples hands introducing themselves but instead they stayed in their own little group ignoring customers while watching people not being served. The first two things we chose to order they were out Of so we had replacements for our half ordered meals. Being a wine entrepreneur I was hoping the owner would walk around as I stated and introduce himself, as that is what I have experienced in high end wine bars in Walnut Creek and other nice places but again as I kept looking back at him and his wife they seemed un interested in there guest. Not sure if we will go back. The server took forever to notice we were waiting for our check. No apologies for the delay. Wish I could say I was impressed but I wasn’t.
This is our go to place. Wines from different regions to explore so never have the same glass of wine twice. Wine option can be a taste, a glass or even a bottle. Great panini sandwiches and pasta dishes. Nice patio to soak in the sun during the summer and bring your pet to hang out outdoor.
Weve been to this place about 4 times now. It is actually become one of our favorite restaurants. We love the atmosphere, the people, and the food. The food and wine selection are fantastic and consistent! They are willing to accommodate dietary restrictions and have a good few vegetarian options to choose from. The French press coffee they have is to die for. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Food is decent.. really enjoyed the bruschetta and tiramisu. Really good selection of wine.
Wine bar in Low Gatos with a really excellent food menu, good wine selection, great dessert, helpful staff. Must stop in.
Mostly a tapas style restaurant, but a few large dishes as well. Leaning toward Italian cuisine. All the food was very good and well presented. Very good wine list by the glass. Also has a retail shop associated with the restaurant so the wine prices tend to be pretty reasonable. We hadnt been there for quite some time, but will be going back again soon.
Food was fantastic and my wife really enjoyed the wine. Im more of a beer drinker myself so cant comment on that. Highly recommend the crostini sampler as theyre all delicious. Minus one start for terrible service who couldnt be more uninterested in serving us.
Wonderful wines! We stopped in for a couple of drinks on a chilly day last week. A couple in our party chose the champagne and chardonnay flights (3 pours for $23). I chose to change it up and went with 3 four ounce pours. I got to sample a few different wines--chard, sauv blanc, and something French that I had never heard of…it was insanely delicious! Boyfriend enjoyed his reds, as well. The service was fantastic and fast. The atmosphere was nice--an entire wall of wine for sale with fun descriptions beneath. The bar ran along one wall and it was all very open and inviting. Ill definitely go back next time were in town!
This review is for the food which was sub par. A sandwich from the Whole Foods deli would be better than this and slightly cheaper. Service was meh to non existent. We had to flag down our server for everything. He never even introduced himself. Go to Donostia next door. That is a good wine bar and the food is great!
Great idea and badly needed in Los Gatos but Enoteca could do a lot better in terms of food and service. I ordered a large cheese and meet selection for $27 that was supposed to serve 4-6. The cheese slices were so tiny It was maybe just for 2. The salads are good and the wine selection is super. I think they still have a lot of kinks to work out. I hope it gets better.
