Enoteca Il Piccolo - Wine bar in Vatican City, Vatican City
Lively spot. Friendly service.
Small selection of food, including simple pastas like cacio e pepe
Very nice place, to have some drinks and enjoy a cheese board. Wine, beer even a spritz. I will absolutely recomend the place.
Best wine bar I went to in Rome. They have a huge selection of natural wine. You may also buy bottles to take home, though beware they are quite overpriced.
Lovelly Apperol Spritz and place
Lovely quaint. Great wine and service. Sit outside for great people watching
Super cute place in a very central place!Go have a glass of wine or a spritz to chill before you continue sightseeing, definately a good choice!
Great wine, cozy vibes
An absolute must! We stopped by to grab a glass of wine and ended up staying for a while! The waiter (I wish I knew his name—younger with curly hairwas amazing and so knowledgeable! I am so glad we stop and this will always be a place we will stop anytime we come to Rome. We also got a charcuterie board that was amazing as well. Definitely come here!
Love this wine bar/wine shop. Great people watching and super friendly staff. We actually came here twice during our trip because we loved it so much. Try the Lambrusco ❤️
The waiter was a real a--hole. The place was fully packed but two tables freed up right when we arrived. We sat to one of the tables, and shortly afterwards a group of girls sat down at the other table. The waiter comes out and right from the start he says in a dismissive tone that the table is reserved. The girls at the other table asked if theirs was reserved too, answer: no. I started asking politely in Italian how is it possible, and the waiter, hearing that Im not Italian started talking to me in a very aggressive tone and answered in english in a way like I was mentally incapable of understanding what he says. I asked, still politely if they have other free tables, he showed some chairs to sit there and wait if a table frees up. I told him that the girls at the other table were here after us, and I dont understand how the table suddenly became reserved but the one next to us didnt. He started yelling at me and talking to me in a manner that was totally unacceptable. Im not one to demand respect and say that the customer is always right, if he explains to me in a normal tone that unfortunately there are no free table etc, i wouldve accepted it, but his manners and tone and the way he talked to me like i was an idiot is outrageous. Not recommended.
Nice staff. Good drink and fair prices. Highly recommend. Have been there twice in 3 days.
Food is simply bad, drinks are okay. Staff is incapable of doing the simplest tasks and the blonde waitress was ultra rude. Avoid this place at all costs if you want to enjoy time in Rome! Waited 30 minutes for my order and then 10 minutes for my check.
Goshhh!!!!! Ive never tested such disgusting wine in my life!!!! I traveled a lot, tested different wines, I am super open to different cultures and tastes...but this is just unacceptable!!! Please avoid!!!!! The staff is terribly ride, insulting, impolite, rude and rude!!! They yelled at me, didnt even want to hear and a waiter who might be 20 years old was telling me how they had 45 years experience in selling this wine...! I love Italy, I love Rome please do not judge this country or city based on these rude staff!
Stopped for a quick afternoon drink between sightseeing during what seemed a quiet time for the establishment. Our order was modest which didn’t seem to please the patron. Had to question the bill as it was rather expensive and transpired there was an attempt to be charged double. The people of Rome treated us with a great welcome and friendliness during our visit therefore I cannot recommend this business in comparison to the rest.
Good aperol, good limoncello, perfect staff
Natural wine from Italy par excellence. Cheese board a winner as well.
10 out of 5! This place was recommended by a food guide and I understand why. The waiter was very knowledgeable and introduced us to several new amazing wines. Follow his recommendations and you won’t go wrong!
Two visits to this lovely little wine bar have been absolutely amazing. Good wine, friendly and knowledgeable service. Really good atmosphere and just very authentic.
Near Navona...in a cozy street we had a great time
Food is simple and really good quality. There is many different kind of natural wine. Owner and staffs are friendly ! :-)
Really nice wine & staff. Well priced for the area. Easy. We would return. Not quite as warm & inviting atmosphere as the pictures would have you believe.
Great place to have a small drink and bite. Nice surroundings
Great place to sit and grab a glass of wine in the evening. The place is located on a charming street. The experience was really nice.
Good value drinks, nice atmosphere, great staff. Chatted to the owner was was really friendly. Definitely recommend in the evening.
We had the best time at this little place. The service was super friendly and the wine list was excellent. Great vibe with good music and a pleasant atmosphere.
Really nice little wine bar with friendly staff.
The best wine bar in Rome! Great selection of wines (natural wines as welland cocktails. Intimate and cozy
Best natural wine bar in Rome that I have experienced so far !
Ricardo has the best selections of wine and atmosphere - great natural wines and knowledge
The friendliest little bar in the neighborhood. The staff and regulars became like family during the lockdowns. A great place to go alone and meet your neighbors, or bring friends. Youll not regret stopping in for a glass of prosecco.
A wonderful quiet little wine bar / shop in the hustle and bustle of central Rome. We drank a great barolo, and had a very nice salumi e formaggio platter. There was no rush; the staff were friendly and helpful. A few tourists, but most of the clientele were local to the area.
good wines but rude staff and the worst was the bill... just the sum written down which we had to pay ... it was way too high... so be careful... according to some other comments not an isolated case
This place was recommended by a local. My husband and I went and first of all, their service from the beginning was rude. Second, we asked if the aperitivo was included with the drink and they said yes (although I would like to give the benefit of the language barrierthe apperitivo (pizzawas hard, cold, and bland. When we went to pay, the aperitivo was not included with the drinks so we had to pay for it, and when questioned it, both servers immediately got aggressive. - hopefully, it’s not something common.
Excellent selections of wine for both red and white. Good location. Good price
Had the Squid Saute, Spaghetti with pesto, and the Gnocchi! Absolutely incredible. Best Gnocchi Ive had! The service was very friendly and punctual!
Cool place to sit and listen to the Italian neighbours talk and gesticulate while you watch other tourists wander by... Couple of Spritzs cost €12 euro, so good value too :)
What a great surprise!! We were walking and have decided to eat at Piccolo. I ate a parmigiana melanzana (probably the best I had in Italyand a spritz (also one of the best). Also it is not expensive (around 8 to 12 euros the plates and 6 the spritz)
Excellent bar. We dropped in for a casual cocktail twice and watched the crowds pas us by. The service was friendly and no-nonsense (in a good way). Prices were good for the area and would highly recommend going.
The best Spritz ever....😋
Beautiful little wine bar. Very relaxing and quiet making it perfect for a stop off after a busy day sightseeing.
There mulled wine is AMAZING!!! I have gone out of my way to make sure Ive had this since I found it while in the area. People have even stopped me from the amazing smell alone to ask where Ive gotten it.
A cool bar with a unique atmosphere. We sat outside, drank great cocktails. Negroni and aperol are the best in Rome! Thank you!
Great wine bar! Superb selection and excellent staff! Hope to return someday and enjoy more wine here. Will recommend to all friends planning a visit to Rome.
Ravioli was to die for, gorgeous little restaurant, well worth a visit. €5 glass of prosecco was a delight!
We loved this place for a lovely latte and some yummy croissants! Sat outside and people watched on a cute street. Nice staff too.
We go often. Superb wine choices and cocktails, too, all fairly priced. Simple dishes as a substantial snack are available. Friendly.
My favorite place in the very heart of the city: an accurate selection of wines - in great prices if you also want to take some with you, and a good kitchen. Dont miss the awsome caponata!
So many local people, good wine and Italian Aperol spritz taste perfect. Rome flair
This was the first and last place we visited in Rome. A cozy little place along an enchanting street in Rome. The patrons were mostly locals with a few tourists. Our servers were busy but very helpful and attentive when it came time order. We were nervous on our first visit since we were still aclimating to Italian culture, but our server was patient and helpful.Wines were very good and reasonably priced. They sometimes have a small menu available which was excellent. My wife even ordered off menu on our last visit which demonstrates the confidence we gained after our initial visit. On both visits we enjoyed the quaint ambience of this place after a long day of exploring Rome.We were there in December and this was one of few places in Rome with hot wine!
