Sprawling botanical garden specializing in regional plants, with rare trees, flowers & a kids' area.
Empress Garden is really beautiful 😍 This is beautiful garden, neatly landscaped and full of flora and fauna. Variety of flowers, trees to watch and relax. You can reach turning left after race course ..
Its a dirty and disgusting place. Its been completely ignored I believe , as there is trash everywhere.do not ever go there. Absolutely nothing to see. How dare is it named as a botanical garden, completely misleading. There are bloody cheap rides inside the park, loud and visibly unsafeMost of the people were chawl category and they were eating home cooked food inside the park. Some Ugly picnic scenes those wereOn the other side of the park were the couples who were there for obvious reasons. This place should be shut down for good.
As per garden fee/ticket they have not maintained. No other information mention in garden. One time visiting place .
One of the best gardens Ive ever seen in Pune. Perfect for Photoshoots, best for family, best for couples to sit and relax. Only one suggestion, too costly for the cameraman to take the camera inside to shoot and washroom is too long otherwise all perfect. 5 star out of 5 ⭐
Only 2 or 3 places in garden are photogenic ,,,other things are hung one another themselves ,,too many prewedding shoots going on .. at the time we entered around 50 to 60 people are at same spot whose taking prewedding shoots ,,there belonging all over the place,,because of that ,,those 2 -3 photogenic location are mobbed like hell ,,,20 ruppes per head for car 20 rupees charged ,,,do not go with high expectations,,
Yeah! Its a great and well preserved place to see various kinds of plants and trees that youve never seen before. But I hate the fact that couples ruined this holy place. Everywhere you see, you see kisses and smooching and all the other disgusting things. I met a security guard there and he explained it to me about how this place changed from great to being garbage. He also mentioned various facts about the garden. He told me that its been 30 years since he was working there and at first they used to remove those type of people from the garden but as time passed by, due to some political reasons and some other factors, they stopped doing this. By the way, his name is mallikarjun and do make sure you meet him when you visit this place.
The old garden easily accessible from Pune City is heaven for biology students and nature-lovers.The garden has large, old trees of good variety and many pockets for a cozy picnic. The Rupa Rahul Bajaj centre for environment and art (RRBCEAis conducting engaging educational activities for children, students and adults in the form of weekend workshops, natural history exhibitions and book library. The garden has an active nursery as well.Ideal for a weekend visit.
Loved this place. They have maintained greenery and all the plants are well maintained.
Small place for pre-wedding and other photoshoots, mostly filled with couples, not recommended for family,Well maintained garden,They also sell saplings and mid grown plantsOther activities like horse cart, swings, slides, and other activities
Lovely place to be with family, and childrens / person fees is 20₹ and bike charge ₹ 10 . Weekdays are the best to get the most of it because there are no rush . You can hier a photographer also and take them on weekdays to get some amazing moments with family. The Garden is well maintained wrt to road and playing area . There is a mini horse ride also for people who cant walk too much but want to see the area as well their charges Iam not sure , i forgot to ask . There is food stalls also ice cream stall as well to jump into food after a long walk in the premises. Have a nice day folks bye 💯
Love this garden for its calming feel.Good:- Fantastic green coverage- Kids play area contains lot of rides free of cost- Added horse rideCan be improved:- Muddy patch between walk to play area- Dragon ride can be started early instead of 3 PM- More rides ( of course less noisy onecan be added- Tree/Plant detail can be added which educates people
Big garden. Very well located. Ample parking space. Entry fee is there but very much reasonable. Only problem and the big one is that the lack of maintenance. Childrens play area has equipments in not in a very well maintained state. Childrens toy train was not functioning last time I visited. I strongly suggest that they increase the entry fee but maintain this beautiful garden in immaculate condition.
Nice place with great nursery for families. Large and cheap collection of plants in the nursery. But they only accept Cash at entry and nursery. We had to arrange cash some how from nearby vendors. Otherwise, there are restrictions to nice places for fotoshoot. In monsoon season mosquitoes will bite even while walking.
I was surprised with the ratings provided compared to what we got. Botanical garden signifies you need to have some flowers which was not there. Fountains are there but not working.Good place for family especially children to play around. This place also allows professional photoshoot and has changing rooms available. However the charges for photoshoot is Rs 750 and changing room is Rs 250 which is very high for which i have rated 2 stars. We went there for photoshoot, space is fine i wouldnt say it is a big garden but good enough to spend some time.Otherwise entry fees is Rs 20 per head.Disappointed with the high charges for photoshoot otherwise it is fine for an outing.
Nothing to see here Totally waste of Time .. only 1 side is for maternity shoot or pre wedding .. rest everything is restricted then why its opened ....😑
Not recommended if you are planning to visit a garden, its just a Place for photo shoot and has kids playing area and train. Also there is a library in its vicinity, and garden has ample parking spaceTicket per person is Rs20/- and parking charges is also Rs20/-Garden is not so maintained,as it doesnt have any much flowering plants,it just has very old and huge trees.Flowering plants is only near entrance area for photo shoots.
Just loved this ambience...There are many playing tools for kids....Must visit place as picnic or 1day outing at this place. Many more places for photoshoot..i was tired of getting clicks ...as there are so many beautiful background for click.
Empress Gardens in the city of Pune, like Queen Victoria , seems to have been there forever. Not in the league of great gardens, it provides the much needed oxygen to this congested city and is a welcome respite for citizens and their growing families particularly on weekends.A good way to relax.
The garden is very good, there was a lot of crowd. Twenty rupees entry fee and ten rupees vehicle parking for each person
Paid parking for car/two wheeler was available.Saw people doing profession photoshoots inside, they charge you extra for camera.Good for kids or quick stroll in shadows.Nothing extraordinary. There was one section at the end, lot of benches but all were occupied by coupes.
Garden area and space are very good ,but need maintenance.entry fees 20 per person ,inside lots of games but chargeable.
Good Garden for Families, Couples . Good place for kids as they have childrens play area and rain dance Best location for pre-wedding,babyshoot. If you want do a photo shoot with professional camera then charges will be 750 other wise Rs 20 per head and Rs 10 for two wheeler parking. Scenic place for a visit if you are a nature lover.
Botanical garden is well maintained...feels so peaceful there✨
We recently done my baby photography here,Well maintained, good parking space for big vehicles.
Maintained garden for photoshoot specially maternity. Also their is one common changing room for ladies and gents and make-up is not allowed. Lots of greenery. Natural place. You just have to keep mat for sitting and some food because their is no much options for food or snacks. You can also go for picnic or potlucks. Mainly overall place is for photoshoot. If you want one place different locations. Then go for it.
Beautiful place to spend time with family. Good collection of saplings and plants in nursery. Huge trees keeping the place cool.
It is a very good place for nature lovers. Without rain dance you will not feel enjoyed so go in summer with full preparation.. Plan full day visit along with War museum and other near by places. Rides open at 2pm & entry is 20rs.Take care of event photographers this is a place for pre marriage and pregnancy albums so go in morning to see without event Photographers
Mostly popular, Tree plantation natural views super, location pune containment Zone. family weekend full enjoy
Nice place to spend time with family and friends. Some highlights :-- Well maintained- Swimming Pool for small kids- Garden and playground for kids- Small train also available. You can have a ride around the Garden.- Washroom and Changing room Facility (Both separate for men and women)- You can do Photoshoot in Botanical Garden with extra charges for camera/Cameraman @750 rs- Entry fee pp is 20/- and Parking 10/-Overall good experience. 👍
Beautiful place in the heart of the city, lot of trees and rally old trees. Lot of area to ply for kids. Must visit site in Pune.
It has slowly fallen out of repair and maintenance. Used to be very beautiful. Natural beauty looks chaotic good in monsoon though.
Its a great place to do photo shoots. There are lovely backdrops - man made and artificial. There is a playground for children. There is an awesome juice vendor. INR 20 entry fee.
Zero manintaince, totally waste of time , all tree nd foundation was dried .very unhappy place. They collect tickets from us so garden management duty also to maintain their garden.
This Botanical garden is one of the best tourist destinations. One memorable tree 🌳 is Beggars Bowl last one.
Over all a good place for family picnic inside pune. Did a train ride for 20 rs each.. parking and ticket cost is also 20 rs.. one must njoy the fresh juice center inside the park.
Nice place to visit with your kids. Its clean, has activities and can spend couple of hours easily. Also, there is facility for photo shoot. Many people visit specially to have wedding, birthday shoots. Seperate charge for camera is applied. Also, there are 2 changing rooms available.
A huge and pleasant garden to visit. The greenery is lovely and the creative elements placed for photography are great. It is one of the place where most of them have their photoshoots. If youre are going specifically for photoshoot they have a specific cost mentioned. The garden is quite well maintained considering the plants and trees. However, the benches and the chairs need to be furnished I suppose. Also, the stagnant water needs to be filtered.Overall, it is a serene place to visit with your family and friends.
Quite a nice place. Due to covid restrictions they are not growing flowers as told by one of the staff. Be aware of mosquitoes here. Childrens play area is good. People come here for photoshoots as well.
This is just a garden and kindly keep the botanical aspect aside. Good place for kids as they have children’s play area and few activities. Good part that this place is full of greenery. If you want do a photo shoot with professional camera then charges will be ₹ 750 other wise Rs 20 per head and Rs 10 for two wheeler parking. I saw lots of lovers and couples out there which is quiet annoying for families. Good place for a visit if you are a nature lover.
Our everyday problems and professional responsibilities often consume our love life. So if you want to make up to the love of your life for not being able to spend quality time with your girlfriend or boyfriend, take her to Empress Garden for a romantic walk. The 39 acres of greenery is one of the best places to visit in Pune with your girlfriend or boyfriend. Dotted with rare species of colourful flowers and shady trees, Empress Garden looks like a fantasy land straight out of a romantic Bollywood flick. Once you are done taking a round of the beautifully landscaped garden, you can suppress your hunger pangs at the snack shack. The Agri-Horticulture Society of Western India, which manages the Empress Garden, organises an annual flower show here.Timings: 9:30 am to 6:30 pmEntry Fee: ₹ 15
Not recommended. Dirty and no maintenance.1. There are dengue mosquitoes here.2. Small kids are playing in the pond water which is highly dirty and unhygienic.3. There is a bad smell of water.4. Hardly any plants or nature to admire. You may enjoy strolling in the army Camp area more.Or do visit PLD Garden or Viman Nagars Botanical Garden. This is as worse as Osho Garden in terms of maintenance.
Garden filled with various species of plants. Good many people visit and at times some places it is crowded. Maintenance could be improved. There is a entry charge of rupees 20/- per person. And 750/- incase you have a camera. If youre really interested in the plants with different species you could venture the area most of them dont tend to go.
Went there for a picnic... it could be a great place for family outings with kids but sadly it needs major renovation & maintenance. The botanical aspect was completely missing and there was trash everywhere - its a public place so obviously the responsibility lies with the visitors as well, but I didnt see any staff on grounds either. (dont go by the pics Ive posted - I got a special talent of finding beauty in the most crappeist place.. if thts the word :P)The general crowd itself isnt great (no complaints there tho, just not the type Id prefer to be around). Its a poorly neglected place with a great potential. We went there for the first time and in a group so managed to have fun nevertheless.Oh, btw they got horse rides for the kids! If only they didnt take through the corners where the couples are... but again, its a public garden, cant expect too much when theres a major lack of social responsibility.
Good place for kids to play around but it was quite crowded on Sundays. Also if you are looking for lots of flowers or floral decorations as seen on Google photos then you will be disappointed because its not there right now.
I visited here alone on Sunday once.. !Overall good place , I wondered why people call it romantic place, but overall good garden,There is some sort of privacy of talking I guess, and some flowers ( plants ,Entry fees are 50 rupees per person .For sitting there are comfortable arrangements, but I feel there bored after one -two hrs I guess its because I go there alone 🤣😂, because couples looks really happy around me I guess because they are free to talk at least 🤠,So to be honest the garden is good , but there are lots of mosquito biting me, thats really bad thing , You can visit this place once for just to see the flowers are there , other things are normal as other garden have .Thats all.11 star for overall mid area of garden ( not that big area but its ok )2second star for having really nice flowers in garden I have added photo of that.3third star is for having restaurant in garden.I hope you understand 🙂
Its a nice park. Though not much to study about Animals or birds yet is a nice chill place especially for family👪. I did see many people coming for photoshoot too.
Its sad that this place is not at its potential yet. It needs a lot of improvement and maintenance...It has a lot of potential to become an amazing place to walk around and for kids to play.We visited last year in December 2020 and while we were grateful it was open during the pandemic, it was kind of sad. The place is really bare and hardly any botanical aspect left to it really :( Would love to see more plants and flowers around. We tried walking the few paths in it but there was hardly anything interesting to see or enjoy and there was trash around everywhere so that was disheartening. There is a massive playarea for kids so our then 2.5 year old daughter had a lot of fun.I hope this place gets a good renovation going and becomes what it can :)

Nice place for a weekend picnic. They have entry fee of Rs. 20 for adults and also parking fees for both two wheelers and four wheelers. Additional charges for cameras. There were no flowers as such but you still find greenery everywhere. There are tall trees which leave you in awe. There are plenty of saplings also which are kept for display. There is a section for children to play. You will hear plenty of bird chirps. You can also come here for the morning walk. Would surely recommend visiting this place.
