Empire Buffet in Woonsocket

if they have quite night they close up an hour two hours three hours before the closing time it is stupid this this is the second Time in a row that this has happened and we look up if they are open and it says open we drive 30 minutes to get here

Its a decent buffet.. no frills but good food

Food is just ok. Not great but not bad. The price is way too high for the food you are getting. The waitress look over ur shoulder as u r eating. Its an ok place to go to but I wouldnt go here to often.

Great place to get buffet food if you are looking for a big meal. Price is super reasonable for the amount of food you can get there. The food is great and the service is excellent. They have a wide variety of food choices.

You really cant beat the price anywhere in the area. Food is on point hot and flavorful. We had the lunch buffet and it was really good. You get what you pay for.

Food mediocre nothing crazy. Place can use renovating, mild smell but not bad. Would have had 2 stars but gave 3 stars for it being incredibly cheap (34 for 2 peopleand some items were tasty but overall not crazy. Theres other better buffets

Food was warm, tasted ok. Carpet really needs replacing and updates inside and out would make the ambience more appealing. Service was good, plates and utensils and table clean.

Would have five stars but the waitress keeps asking for tips. Why? I am just trying to eat in peace plus it’s rude to ask more than once.

A fine place to eat healthy and plenty at McDonalds price for asian food lovers.

Do you like Chinese food? Of course you do! Why else would you be looking this place up? Empire buffet is wonderful. The food is delicious and its never ending buffet so make sure you wear your stetchy pants.

My granddaughters 1st time here. She wants to go back. She loved it. Food was delicious

I enjoy it very much! The crab is excellent! The fried doe is good, the shrimp white sauce stir fry is good. The wings are good, etc... Will return anytime!

One of a handful of chinese buffets still open, food was ok, Ive had better but their main focus is the buffet. A bit pricey at around $45.00 for 2 people with tax and tip, lunch serves the same thing for less money, so I would recommend lunch here over dinner to save some money.

I think this buffet is excellent for the price. I mean with inflation and everything so expensive, its hard to find a buffet under 15 dollars per person.They have a lot of foods.

The lady cashing you out should practice being more friendly. Good food and waitstaff, but bad experience paying for our meal.

Good buffet always have enough food out and they swap it quickly when they run out my only complaint has nothing to do with the staff or the food there just always seems to be at least one crying child when i go there. Staff are very friendly however!

Food is good fresh food added as it gets low American and chinese nice array of flavor and had fresh watermelon yummm

We showed up at 3:25 for a late lunch, and we saw that the outside restaurant sign said dinner was at 3:45. When we got the check, we noticed we had been charged full dinner price, even though we didnt eat any of the dinner items, and we were early enough to have the lunch price. Our waitress insisted dinner started at 3:30, which even still is after we were eating. She also brought over multiple dinner receipts for customers who showed up before us who were all charged for dinner price as well. We ended up paying the full dinner price, but we feel wronged and lied to. Food was great, but the price and courtesy is unfortunate.

This place has a nice atmosphere. Today me and my family went and we had a good time until staff were sneaking around and at the end we paid and she stood there looking at my dads cash. She counted slowly in front of us and still stood there staring I asked if she was okay and she said "thats it? No more? More, more!!" Holding out her hand. But we were all confused because we gave her a 10 dollar tip. I swear a whole minute passed in silence WITH HER HAND OUT until we just got up and left.We are a Hispanic 5 person family and I know she tried to confuse us on purpose.

Normally I would give them a four out of five but this particular Friday July 15th when we went they did not have the crab legs clusters!!! Why Empire!!! WHY???

Great selection good price and the food was hot unlike many other buffets. No complaints great meal

The owners are very pleasant and the food was good. I like the little clams.

Fair food and price. Busy but not over crowded. Some of the food was a little overcooked for my taste but thats just me.

Its good food when you just dont know what you want to eat. We like coming here with our kids because the staff are amazing and interactive with them as well as attentive. They dont hover and theyre always on their game.

not only did I spend the night throwing up and with abdominal pain after leaving here but my girlfriend had a breakout on her hands about a week ago because they put orange dish soap in a bottle that said peaches for hand soap in the bathroom and she’s allergic to oranges .. this place is definitely not good like at all.

Wasn’t a bad buffet. Was charged for dinner price at 3pm however. And they did not have dinner options out yet to be served. They were switching over. So most food was cold or not enough to get seconds. I asked for a refill of buttered potatoes when we got there and as we left they still had t brought any out. I’m definitely gonna make sure when I go again the Peking lot is full…means fresher food 🤩

The food there is absolutely amazing. But the lady that came and collected our a few plates here and there brought us our check at the end of the meal. We gave her the card she came back with a card in the pan in her hand and she started to waive that little black thing around that you put cash in for a tip so you do you have any money for me I will never go in there again she is a disgusting vile person

Food was pretty darn good for a buffet. Nothing really local to me so been trying different places. This one is one of the first I would go back to. Great ice cream selection. A little run down on outside but clean on inside.

Chinese buffet in one of my favorite dinners and I have been to all of them in the region. Weve been going to Empire Buffet for over 20 years because they are one of the BEST. The last time I went, a couple years ago, the food wasnt great - it was during the Covid shutdowns. But last night it was back to being EXCELLENT. A fabulous choice of hot, fresh food and better than average service. Im so glad Empire Buffet is back from the Covid shutdowns - and better than ever!

Have been coming here since it opened. Love the food, always friendly, remembers exactly what my family gets for beverages. Well worth the price. 😊

This is the Chinese buffet you take your kids to, or if you are new to Chinese. It has a lot of American choices, and fried foods, but the Chinese options are also good. Cleanliness is good, I just want more Chinese options

I am glad they are back open. Its limited and you dont serve yourself and Im good with that. I just wish they painted it. Did something small like that would give it a fresh clean look. They have to replace the booth seat cushion because they are shot.. been shot for years.. missed opportunities when times were good.

Bad food. But They are doing the best they can! VERY VERY clean! They Immediately sanitize everything the moment you step out of the seats very polite very sweet, pre-covid their food was ALWAYS hot and fresh all of our food today though was freezing cold very dry breakable meat rice was hard and had been there also a long time

This has been one of my favorites for a long time. The restaurant is very clean and the staff is very attentive and polite. The food is always fresh and hot. They always have a great selection, then pizza, french fries, and other things for people/kids in your party who might not want Chinese food. They have a sushi table, but I dont eat that, so I can only tell you that it looks nice. They have a desert table and also ice cream. Unlike other buffets, you dont have to be scared of the seafood. I have enjoyed the fish, crab, and shrimp and never gotten sick. One of my favorites here is the broccoli chicken, but I enjoy the teriyaki chicken on a stick, too. It has been run by the same woman for as long as I can remember, and the quality has always been consistent, lunch or supper, weekday or weekend. I really love this place.

Went there with the family last night for my birthday. I had heard good things about this place from others. This place was awful! The food ranged from lukewarm to cold! The steak teriyaki was tough and cold. Before we even got our coats off the waitress was asking us what we wanted to drink. One of my family was sick all night. I will never go back to this place. For $12.50 per person, we could have gone many places and got a decent hot meal. I feel bad for choosing this place and putting my family through it.

Very yummy. Not the friendliest staff but food was surprisingly delicious. The two of us me and the hubby for dinner buffet, he drank wanted I had a diet soda total was 29. Each dinner buffet was 12 and change. Id go again. My husband didnt like the lo mein and they didnt have duck sauce at all which is one of his absolute favorites. Other then that pretty good!! Place looks really out of date but they keep it very clean. We would go back again!!

We went for a birthday party. The service was good but the food wasnt that great. The best part of the whole meal was the Warwick ice cream.

Would have gone 2½ stars if they had it, as the experience was average to low. Parking was good, atmosphere is ok, due to multiple pig decor on the walls. Wondering if it is subliminal, a buffet with pig decor... There was no wait, and plenty of bars to pick from. However, the food is average, as well, feeling more like a franchise than anything. When getting food at the bars, burned my hand 3 times grabbing different tongs, due to the trays not sitting in the heat table properly. Ive been here about 30min, and have only been visited by my waitress twice. Once to come get my drink order when i first sat down, second time was bringing the drink to me. Price is decent, $8+ for lunch buffet, $2 drink. A mediocre lunch for $10. As much as Chans costs more and the food is better, for $10, you get what you pay for. Also, found bone pieces in the boneless bbq chicken and boneless ribs.

My wife and I have been going to Empire Buffet for about a year now and it seems to be our favorite Chinese Buffet place to go. The staff is friendly and pleasant. The food is great and plenty of food to pick from. It is not fancy by any means as far as decor goes but I do not eat the decor. Fresh food is put out all the time no matter what time you go there. You cannot beat the price either. For lunch the buffet is 8.60 for all you can eat. Amazing price for what you get

Decent Chinese buffet. Try and go during the busy hours when the food is rotated often.

Decent place they have all the typical food of a Chinese Food joint with a little bit of American food. Prices are decent.
