Simple Chinese cuisine at a fixed price in a relaxed setting with a traditional Asian feel.
Some times I like to eat a little bit of everything. The variety is great for our different tastes in my family.
Some of the best Chinese food in the valley and buffet too!! Senior discount is nice.
The staff is very friendly and inviting. The food is decent. The hibachi and fresh sushi are the greatest features. As Chinese buffets go, this one is better than most.
Food was super good waiter was on top of it. Had great varieties for kids. Would eat here everyday if I could afford it.
Some of the best buffet food Ive had in a long time.
Food is always good, and hot. There is a large variety, and there is even sushi and a Mongolian grill-type station where they will cook your chosen food items for you.
They have more food choices than you can sample. However, I thought it was some of the worst Chinese food Ive ever had
Great experience and really good food. First time, and will definitely go back.
Great food got so full i missed the icecream next time
Always hit this Chinese all you can eat place every time were out in the Palm desert area, whereas we found Monday through Friday buffet not so good anymore, like it used to be pre-pandemic, today, Sunday, food was absolutely delicious! All the food was hot and appealing and tasty!
The food wasnt that good! Service was very slow and unattended to the guest. I had one plate of food and then grabbed some fruit and a dessert. The server brought our check immediately. We sat for like 15 minutes. Had some food and dessert. She dropped the check and asked us ready to pay. I was so annoyed with this tactic from the restaurant. I will not be coming back. I wish for a better buffet place than this place!
Cheap Chinese buffet.. you get what you pay for. It’s amazing how the food can look so good and taste like nothing.
Went for lunch. Seated and ate in less than an hour. Waiters were respectful. Dining area was mediocre and very casual. Some food options were hot, dessert fruit was a win, pudding and cakes were stale.
Foods were not the same lately, their sushi turned into size a of quarters with no flavor at all. Shrimps are saturated with oil claws without flavor. And blue crabs and lobster coated with cornstarch and greasy oil is just a big turn off. Plus the server sitting watching or stating at people while they eat. No customer service. Dont know what happen price or cost of the buffet was up but the quality of foods are way down.
It was good, but the prices went up too much, its better to look for another option. there are good buffets in the casinos, for example the Morongo and children can go. so Emperor bad they raised prices without warning disappointing
First time visiting. Went on a Thursday around 5pm. Not crazy busy. Judging only from my past buffet experiences this buffet can be better which is why I gave it 3 stars. It’s missing ambiance; I felt like I was eating at a place where the people didn’t care about customer service, music wasn’t playing and we had to waive down our waitress for drinks every time. Also as soon as we walked in I immediately smelled the bathroom. They do a good job of not letting it permeate to the rest of the restaurant but I can still smell it. The food was just ok for me. I may return only if absolutely necessary but I do recommend for 1st time visitors.
My first time and my last time! First of all dinner was way over priced for the quality! My experience in the past, there should have been crab legs etc! California rolls were dried out! The jello had soap in it gross!
Great selection of Chinese, sushi, and hibachi. Food isn’t fabulous by any means, but better than any other Asian buffet I’ve ever had. Price isn’t too bad either, as long as you come during lunch on a weekday. Dinners and weekends are far too expensive.
The service was good, they just need more cleaning, the tables and the floor. And the food hurt my husband, he ate oysters.
Sorry guys but quality is important.Very busy so it could be me. I use to eat here B4 pandemic and it was Soo good, everything. but quality doesnt seem to be the priority again to me
Good food and decent price for lunch. Great selection.
2 adults one 12 yr old.$78Ribs were cold, shrimp were cold. Not much variety.California rolls were ok.Soup was okFried rice was great.Overall, I don’t think it’s was with the $78.
Decent buffet. Water was filled quite often, the food was nice. I stayed for over an hour and a half and tried most of the buffet. Real good atmosphere.
Its too expensive and the food is not good.Dirty place and my husband got sick 🤢🤢 after eat over. Never come back again.
Table was dirty the window had soda and finger prints all over, the soy sauce bottle had hair and sticky stuff all over it I have came here for years and never seen it like this, when I asked for a copy of my receipt AFTER I PAID $67 all the lady’s at the front got extremely offended and rudely said go find my server even though I watched this same lady swipe my card so she grabbed a random one and said “it’s really not my problem here”. My wife and I have also witnessed the older cook who walks around glaring people down scream and push a lady at the front door. So if you want some good food on a dirty a** table and get treated like a burden then welcome to emperor buffet ! Hope this place falls off the map.
The spicy octopus is amazing delicious
Variety of foods. $22.95 per person for buffet. Great Sushi and Hirachi.
Satisfy your seafood cravings here🦐🦀🦪🍵🍣 All you can eat Oyster on Fridays. Fresh seafood in the desert. Clean and affordable. Tip your server💰 Paid $50.61 for two dinner.
Tried to go the other night to eat dinner here, but the line was insane, so we came back for a lunch service since the reviews were pretty good. We have a ton of kids, so obviously buffets are one of their favorite places to eat. It wasn’t that bad, but obviously buffet food, so they don’t really specialize in quality, more quantity. They had 6 Buffett tables, 1st was designated for salad and some dessert, second was mainly fruit and pudding, 3rd had a few different options of Chinese entrees, the 4th was more American food(fries, chicken nuggets, garlic bread), the 5th was 4 different soups and then chowmein/rice and the 6th buffet table was a small assortment of sushi (basic rolls-nothing fancy). Also, just so you know, the lunch service has no crab and only basic seafood like fried shrimp or baked shrimp. If you want to crab you have to attend dinner service after 3:30pm and price is upwards of $25 a piece. Something to mention, you don’t know how much your paying to the end and when they ask they don’t tell you, so your just kinda slide in a seat and hope for the best. They only tell you, when your done with a big fat check. Like I said before it was horrible, but it also wasn’t great.
Saw a bunch of good reviews and we decide to stop by. Not a good experience for us, we saw 2 cockroaches in the bathroom so I complained to the attendants and they said sometimes you will see them in the bathroom but not in the kitchen LOL.Sadly we had already eaten some food when this happened and we decided to leave. Food was from regular to bad, not much variety like you will find in other buffets if you ask me.I would recommend you to avoid this place and look elsewhere if you are looking for this kind of buffet. Health is first.
Pretty good. A few items that were less than satisfactory, however for.most part, good foodm. Nice staff.
All you can eat chinese food. Lots of different thigs to enjoy and they have sushi too. My favorites are the dumplings and the egg rolls. One of the best chinese buffets you can find in the area.
My husband loves fish and hot n sour soup. He says the make the best. Weve tried to make it there at least once or twice a month
I enjoyed the wide variety of items. The food was good, but the service needs improvement. I went there with friends to meet a group of people. They were already there, and had been served beverages. My friends and I waited a long time for a wait staff member to ask what we wanted to drink. I tried to get the attention of a staff member who kept walking past our table, but got ignored. Finally one of my friends stood up, walked to the service station to ask for something to drink. We were finally given water, but was not asked if we wanted coffee, tea, etc. That ticked me off, but as I was so grateful for getting anything to drink at all, I let it go. Either train staff to be more attentive, or install a self service beverage bar.
Fresh, hot buffet style food, with staff keeping a very watchful eye over buffet stations, replenishing items frequently. Love their green beans, steamed fish, Cajun shrimp. My honey likes the fried items, broccoli beef, desserts. Try it. Such a great variety of foods.
Love this place! I come here for sushi and delicious Chinese food. Better sushi than some of ‘sushi’ restaurants or grocery stores.
Over the past several years Ive eaten at Emperor Buffet at least two dozen times, both before and after their pandemic shutdown. Recently moved away from Cat City, but a definite stop whenever Im back in town.Good prices, excellent quality; broad and diverse selection of sushi, appetizers, entrees. Staff is pleasant and helpful but unobtrusive.Unlike some whiners Ive never had a problem with "dirty" bathrooms, but I dont eat off the bathroom floor. 😁For a reasonably priced buffet Emperor definitely is a five star.
The food is fresh and good quality… but the restaurant is super old and not very clean. Restrooms not very sanitary. It’s important for a restaurant to provide great quality food but it’s also equally important to have a clean and sanitize environment alone with great customer service for your customers.
Great selection, variety of food. Love the 🍣 so delicious.. COVID hit hard everywhere. You dont see too many buffets anymore. 🥲
This is my first time here and the staff is very amazing, the food is superb amazing this place is number one buffet hooooo yea I will reccomend to oll my friends ,see food melt in u mouth, omg I will back here tomorrow
Great budget prices with good food and different selections for your food creativity
Had dinner buffet on early Friday night. Decent food selection, including seafood ( steam fish, clams, oysters, shrimp, crawfish, deep fried crabs with claws, plus others), assortment of sushi, Chinese and some Korean dishes, desserts, and salad bar. Not bad for $20.99 plus tax.Food is good and service is very good.
Great Chinese food for the area, a lot of choices and great service. My first visit there
Food is okay. Atmosphere needs help. They also need to do a better job cleaning.
It was OK.The Place is overall Clean. The Buffet smaller than most. Not MANY Vegan OptionsYou have to dine in the patio due Covid192 people $ 37.00 on a Friday
Wow, food was amazing and now my favorite seafood place. thanks all for the warm service
If you want to taste a lot of Chinese food, a lot of Chinese food then this can be a good place. Lots of seafood: shrimp, crab, crayfish, fish, and even rolls. You can also try oysters, for such a price you can say nothing. The choice is simply huge, and cheap enough. But if you want to try haute cuisine, then obviously you should not choose this place.
It is good here. Fresh food tended to constantly. There are staff cleaning up after the crowds and the hibachi grill is on demand. They make sushi as it runs out so you can potentially get fresh.
Perfect selection of buffet food. There is literally something for everyone. Gluten free fare offered with fresh seafood, salads, cooked to order with what you like the way you want it food. Plenty of meat choices, although steak was not on the menu. Pork, chicken, fish a plenty. Desserts and fresh fruit, pudding, ice cream, jello. 2nd visit and this was just as good as the 1st. Recommend week day dining. Went on a Sunday at lunch time and it was a zoo, but they keep fresh hot food rotating so nothing seemed stale or like it had been sitting for a while
Love it! This is a great sushi and Mongolian restaurant at an excellent price! Definitely recommend is you are a Chinese food lover!!
