Elm Creek Park Reserve - Dog Off-leash Area - Dog park in Stillwater, United States
Absolutely beautiful park to bring your dog. Most people follow the rules.
I especially enjoy visiting the small dog, frail fenced-in area. I have a very old dog and I feel she is much safer in this portion of the park.
Huge park! Only one watering spot for dogs so bring your own if you want.
This is the best dog park I’ve ever been to. It’s so huge and the difference scenes when you’re walking with your dog or just jogging is breathtaking . I love it.
pretty nice area to let the dogs run. only one of our trips here resulted in leaving disappointed due to some dog owners that cannot control their animals. parking is tight especially during the nice summer months.
Theres a swimming pond, gated away from the rest of the park, so you access it separately and at your own risk. The water is not tested. There is signage stating that as well.Great dog park, well-maintained. Jake loves it!
Its much bigger than other parks, but there are small areas of standing water (bring a towel). But you can walk around the whole thing several times and your dog can find new things to explore. We have small dogs (15 lbswhich sometimes trigger bigger dogs so be aware that with more visitors you have more opportunities for shenanigans. I have several effective strategies for managing it so its not a concern, but they do have a small dog part that is really good if you have concerns.
Beautiful park with trails and woods. I didnt open the gate to the water, but I love that its an option.
Such a fun place for the dogs to go off leash, play in the water, grass and trails!
Gorgeous walking trails, fenced in water area, and very nice dog owners!
Huge dog park of some 10 plus wooded acres for larger dogs to run with a pond, to boot!
Great off leash area. Pond is fenced off, but my clean goldens found the muddiest drainage culvert open and yucky. Would be a five if they covered or fenced that. Great trails, great fencing, lots of space to run. Water available, only place for getting rid of your poop bags is at the entrance, be prepared.
Nice big fun park for the dogs especially if your dogs love swimming.
Love this dog park! Lots of space for the dogs to play and its pretty clean.
Huge fenced in area, never had any problems with other dogs, love the pond area where my pup can go swimming
Best dog park in the area! Large park and lots of walking area as well as a pond for swimming. All the dogs are very friendly, playful, and respectful. Poop bags provided and a water area. Also has a small, separated puppy area.
Lots of room for the dogs without over crowding. It has a seperate pond area for the water loving pups.
Only been here once and havent seen the entire park. I went when winter is thawing so it was really went, but the park is very wooded and lots of different trails to take. Parking sucked because it was really muddy at the time so definitely bring some wipes and towels to towel your pup(sdown. Ill update further once everything has dried up.
Small dog park is a good size. This park costs money which is a downside because for small dogs you dont get anymore more then you would at similar sized free dog park. The large dog area is awesome and worth the price though. Gave it a 4 stars because if you have a large dog its nice but not the best for little dogs.
We went at dusk so people were starting to leave. The trails are well maintained and I like the enclosed pond area. People had good control of their dogs if they started to bother our dog (who was leashed due to first time among other dogsbut they were running along happily. Will definitely go again, but in daylight.
Love Elm Creek Dog Park - its huge, tons of space to run around, nice mini hiking paths to roam. It can get really busy but with so much space it never feels really packed. It is a part of Three Rivers so there is a fee/pass required.
Great dog park! My two huskies have came here since 9weeks and have practically grown up here. Love this park- safe, friendly people and 99% of the time dogs as well, and all fenced in space for them to run.
Love this park!! Great open space for the dogs to play as well as a couple separate trails to walk. Theres also a pond which is fenced in within the park so you can choose to avoid it if you dont want your pet to go in. If its recently rained and the water is more fresh I let my boys in there, otherwise we will avoid if its been standing for awhile.
Great park. Pretty big area with nice trails. There is a fenced-off pond area that dogs can swim in. Has a water fountain and a bowl. Separate area for small dogs. Has a permanent outhouse. Just wish they had trash cans throughout the park instead of just at the park.
My little 16#pound mixed something loves this place. He will start crying in my ear as soon as he realizes where we are going. Being among other bigger dogs has built his confidence a lot.
Love this dog park. Its pretty large with plenty of wooded trails for the pups to roam. Careful of the mud pits, however!
My spouse, my 2 dogs, and I love this place. There’s tons of space and a water spout. The community is also wonderful and we have only met nice people so far! Heads up the website is a little wonky and it does require a paid permit for each daily visit, or you can buy an annual pass.
Very nice park. Very large with many walking trails. Theres a pond in an interior fenced in area so some dogs can enjoy the water without all of them having access.
This dog park is magical. It’s so big and there are actual trails through the woods to walk with your dog. They recently added a nice covered area with benches to sit on. There’s a good sized pond that’s in a separate fenced area so you can choose to let your dog swim or not.
Great dog park. I have been coming here for decades. We moved nearby partly because of our love for not only this dog park but all of Elm Creek. I cannot give this dog park a 5 stars, however, because I have had multiple times where people do not leash their dog while leaving, making my dog upset. There have also been lots of people neglecting to pick up poop on walking parts of the trail. Also there is an area within the main area (not fenced offthat is EXTREMELY muddy and the dogs seem drawn to this spot. It’s honestly not that big of a deal, a messy dog probably means a successful outing, but it does feel odd that this dog park fences off the swimming area yet my dog gets most dirty within the main area with this mud hole.Ultimately this is the best dog park I have been to and I will bring my dog here for years. I would like to invest if possible to help maintain the upkeep of this gem.
Love this park! Lots of trails for your dogs to walk in and it has separate areas for small and larger dogs to play in. Gave it 4 stars because the pond was closed and it wasnt as clean as I would have expected. But overall great dog park and will be back!
This place is super sweet! My pup loved it here. Cool fenced in pond to for them to swim and play
We love this dog park because it’s so big. You feel like you’re on a nature walk with your best buds. The trails are plentiful and there are lots of trees for your furry friends to pee to their hearts content. I have never ran into an irresponsible owner here, like at other dog parks. When you’re on the trails, you can go quite the distance without running into too many people, huge plus for you introverts! There’s a fenced in pond for those that are into that (retrievers seem to love this area the most! There is a small/frail dog area that is decent. The shared watering area is a nice amenity for those hot days and it’s separated by a series of gates so if your fluff doesn’t like sharing bowls, they can do it in a safe enclosure. The fee is $6 per 16yr+ person, which is kinda ridiculous...kids are free but should be leashed (just kidding). This park is always a favorite for my puppers.
big fan of the elm creek park dog off leash area. they have a massive area for dogs to run and play. they also have a area for smaller/older dogs as well if you want to limit the area they can play in. it’s a busy place and parking gets pretty full but normally you should be able to find a spot. definitely a great place for the pup!
My dog and I love this dog park! If you do a big loop around the park it’s about a mile long! The only thing I wish is that people would pick up after their dogs a little more.
LOL OKAY WEIRDEST DOG PARK + POLICE EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. Decided to go to the dog park this afternoon in the middle of a snowstorm and walked away with a random ticket for a license plate violation?! There was an officer checking park passes which I have and happily showed him I paid my $45 dues for the year... but then there was a 2nd officer sitting there poaching cars and writing up tickets & I think towing cars (there was a tow truck parked there too). this is the 2nd time I’ve seen him in the last 2 months & apparently today was not my day. haha I just got a written warning for not having my license plate properly affixed to the front of my car... on a random Sunday afternoon in the middle of a snowstorm.... at the dog park. Okay yeah I get the request or whatever but we’ve had the car for 6 years and never had an issue with my license plate before. Officer was nice enough about it but still why am I getting in trouble with this randomly by the DOG PARK police?! One of the weirdest police interactions of my life. If you go here make sure you’re on the up and up I guess!
One of the bigger three rivers dog parks. Almost 30 acres. Lots of trails and always busy with lots of dogs. There is a pretty big beach for dogs to swim too and a bathroom outside of the main entrance.
Very big! Nice shallow pond in the back for the dogs to run or rollaround in. The pond is gated, so you dont have to worry about your frie d running straight for it.Well kept trails and plenty ty of benches to sit and just watch them run around.
Took my two big dogs today for the pond and they loved it! Lots of trails to take and spots for them to rough house. All the dogs seems happy, even the high strung ones were on good behavior. The pond is pretty shallow so I dont think any dog could drown even if trying to.
Great big filly fenced in area with many paths. Favorite dog park in area. Although, people need to do better at cleaning up after their dogs. It gets very messy in the spring with the melting snow and hidden poo piles everywhere.
It’s amazing. Normally, I hate to pay to use a dog park but I have to admit this one is actually worth the annual fee. Fenced in off leash. Separate area for small dogs. 2 Huge wooded fenced areas with paths to walk. My dog was in heaven. Only downside is that it’s so big we couldn’t always see our dog and so it can be challenging to supervise the interaction between dogs. Dogs all seemed well behaved when we visited. Our dog is good about coming back to us but if your dog doesn’t like to come to you, you may have trouble getting them to want to leave.
26 acre off leash park with a separate area for small and older dogs. Nice trails through wooded park and a pond for the dogs who love to swim.
Best dog park we have ever been too. The small part is perfect for puppies, small and older dogs. Perfect for off leash training with puppies, then you could go to the next part which is a small pond area with almost a muddy like beach, still pretty huge, All fenced in, except one of the gates to the pond area a small dog or puppy could easily fit through, our 4 month old aussie slipped right through. Then the largest part surrounds that. So it is all completely fenced off. Be careful with small dogs and puppies cuz there can be a few dog scuffles in the large area. It also cost 6.50 to get in.
Love this park! Lots of trails to walk and it has a separate fenced in area with a pond. There is also a small dog area. My biggest complaint is that they should haul some more sand to the pond so it isnt just mud. There are also some spots outside of the pond area that stay wet so be prepared for a muddy puppy!
Beautiful area for dogs to enjoy as well as humans to take in some nature and classic Minnesota views. The area is well kept by those whom frequent it, in the sense of Ive never seen trash or anything concerning whilst walking with my dogs throughout the seasons. Also enjoy amongst the very large areas there are very well kept paths throughout, heading in many directions. Biggest and best dog park in its area. Even a fenced in swimming pond within!
Oakley loves coming here!! The people are very nice, the area is huge and Oakley runs for miles, and the dogs are really well behaved from what I’ve seen! The prices for passes aren’t bad either. Love love love!
We LOVE this park and its totally doggie heaven for our pup. Wonderful wooded paths, open areas and tall grasses for the dogs to explore safely as it is all fenced in. Other people and dogs we have met have been courteus and friendly. Perfect place to get family-dog binding time and have your pup burn off all their energy with lots of new friends!
Great park with varied trails. Endless fun for the dog and good exercise for humans and dogs alike! Swimming pond for the pooch but if you like a clean dog, this park isnt for you as there are some fantastic mud puddles that are irresistible to four legged friends. Also, dont be the guy that keeps your dog an a leash. Your poor pooch is here to run and if they havent been socialized well enough to have good manners with other dogs, they shouldnt be here.
This park is huge! There are wide open areas, as well as more secluded ones. There is a fenced in swimming pond within the park (the pond is a bit muddy though). The park itself seemed clean and well maintained. There is a large parking lot. We went around 2 pm on Friday, and there was only two other dogs in the large dog area. There is a paved walking path down the road as well! We only wish it was closer to downtown Minneapolis. ☺️
This is a very well maintain dog park. Well worth the yearly fee!
