Elephant Bar - Bar in Phnom Penh, Cambodia
Elephant Bar in Phnom Penh
Description
I already rated this once so not sure why this option appears again. To me. No competition here. Try their gin and tonic buffet, absolute blast. Combine it with Khmer sausages finger food and you are set for the evening. And if you are fan of cigars, cigar bar is 15 meters next door in the same hotel. Hangover? Just get room at Raffles:-)
MoreFemme Fatale is one of my favourite cocktails ever.
Mr Steve back in Phnom Penh in this bar at the le royal superb fitting for the history and standard of the hotel I tried the Phnom Penh gin sling whoa only one already seeing double then went on beer this layout is a lot better than the old one try it
MoreAmazing cocktails and very relaxing atmosphere!
Their prices are really expensive, but I have to admit that their drinks are delicious. We tried the raffles drink and it was so yummy. The atmosphere here is also nice and clean, staff provided a bit of free snacks to eat with the drink. Would definitely recommend checking out this place.
MoreThe place has a great ambiance, and everything is maintained pretty well. There are quite a lot of alcoholic drinks to choose from so make sure that you come here with friends. Love how the design was thoroughly thought out, cheers to Mr. Ernest Hebrard!
MoreHad some phenomenal drinks here … I love the fact that Raffles has each hotel around the world so it’s own take on a SlingS the a Phnom Penh Sling didn’t disappoint. It might be my favorite version so far. Great ambiance and lovely service staff. Highly recommend.
MoreWell what a place. Beautiful building, excellent service and great food all round. An excellent meal. Superb
MoreElegant place, reasonable price, good service, best place to have some drink and listening to the piano
MoreA true old gem of a bar, that reminds us of the days when Phnom Penh was known as the pearl of South East Asia. Johnnie Walker Blue, Femme Fetales and Long Island Iced Teas.A stunning Cuban house band and old fashioned service from the ever-attentive staff complete the picture of a place with one eye looking to the past and one to the future.Well worth a visit, especially if you have a love of Phnom Penhs great history.
MoreGreat cocktails but now very expensive (18$). Staff seems very busy and maybe in shortage as we waited a while. Used to be my favorite bar. Still very nice and posh. And Singapore sling still perfect.
MoreWe had an amazing experience at Elephant bar; Eric was extremely kind, warm, and welcoming. Phally’s service was so great we decided to extend our stay in Phnom Pehn an extra night to come back and enjoy their spectacular happy hour with love music.
MoreBeautifully decorated. Exceptional service. Wonderful selection of cocktails and ambiance.
MoreFantastic cocktails. We stopped in for a mid afternoon break. The bar itself is beautiful and the staff is very friendly. The cocktail menu covers the classics (Negronis, Manhattan...and some House specialties. They also do barrel aged Old Fashioneds and Negronis.
MoreWonderful place to chill out and escape the hustle and bustle of the city. Relaxed atmosphere amidst beautiful old colonial style, with amazing staff
MoreExcellent Bar, a wall of Gin types which I could relate to. The Bar has many other drinks to suit all, music & great food, relaxing and clean, outside area also.
MoreElegantly classy Afternoon Tea! A must for Wifey!
Was looking forward for a high tea gathering with some visitors who were in P.P for visit. However our excitement and experience was spoiled this evening by one of your serving staff, who mumbled at us, scowled, rolled her eyes and walked away after we asked her politely if our Christmas high tea set was ready to be served. We were a bit confused as we were not even complaining or putting up a fuss. Fortunately, we were attended by another waitress who was much friendlier and chirpier. Could you please check on some of your service staff as one rotten apple may spoil the whole barrel. Well, dont think Id be back again and will not recommend/entertain friends at this place after this incident. Seriously, this is the first time Ive experienced such bad customer service in P.P and it had to be at the Raffles :-( A very disappointing experience indeed.
MoreGood ~ ~ place, food, service ... The price is not similar $$ to the outside of a hotel in Phnom Penh, but it is worth it.
MoreThey have a handful selection of refreshing drinks along with signature cocktails. Definitely worth a visit. The best thing about this place was their traditional setting with combination of calm atmosphere and music choices.
MoreWasnt hugely impressed by the decor/feeling of the place. Staff dont have much knowledge of drinks, and they werent particularly well mixed. They have a happy hour with 50% off some drinks at certain times.
MoreDefinitely a come back next time. Good cocktails and love the vibes!
This is a really classy bar that also serves some decent food. I would definitely go here again.
MoreIt’s nice place with chilling drinks
I had an afternoon tea - local style. It was very tasty and looked very beautiful. The staff was very friendly.
MoreNice french colonial style bar. Very good service and wide choice of high quality food and drinks. Cigar friendly terrace.
MoreThis place has embraced so many changes.....I prefer the ambience of the early 2000s with the beautiful decor and high quality service, along with the live piano player. Happy hour was usually so relaxing.... however my recent visit hadmodern pop music playing and it affected the ambience and the settings . No pop music please, it doesnt sit well in such a beautiful colonial style Bar with an amazing history.
MoreWent here with my boyfriend for a couple cocktails. They were delicious and the service was excellent. Didn’t eat any food, so can’t speak to that.
MoreFrom 16:00 to 21:00 they have happy hour, its a very good deal. The cocktails are big, strong and very good. The service is impecable. And its a historical place and so beautiful! A must in Phnom Penh.
MoreA must do. Happy hour is such good value. You feel like you have stepped back in time. Go for the Kaf Kaf gin and tonic taste sensation
MoreWent for their happy hour and tried several drinks with a few friends earlier today. I recommend trying their Kaf Kaf g&t!
MoreFantastic happy hour menu. High ceilings, atmosphere from a bygone era... I quite expected Sir Stamford Raffles himself to walk in. Try one of their array of gin and tonics or a lovely Manhattan. Delicious!
MoreBeautiful balance of colonial era and modern times. Decor, ambiance, acoustics and the temperature of the aircon gives it a unique touch. Like theres someone personally monitoring it all. Choice of alchohol, blend of local ingrediants to spirits. Diverse menu and helpful hosts makes it special here. A must for every connoisseur.
MoreWe ordered two Piña Colada. If you want to be the best bar in town, you should use the best products but they dont do.
MoreI thoroughly enjoyed my experience at the Elephant Bar, mostly because of their awesome bartender, Pisal. I had the Femme Fatale drink and it was delicious, as were the bar snacks. This is a great place to relax from the heat any day of the week!
MoreBeautiful decor, great staff and terrific execution on both classics and "newer" cocktails. Would definitely return!
MoreGood and interesting place for couple, dating and enjoy a romantic dinner!
Having good time with happy hour ^^. This place is the most classic bar in Phnom penh with beautiful retro decoration.
MoreLegendary bar in Cambodia. Great knowledge of the staff and amazing selection of cocktails. Try from their classic Femme Fatale, created in the 60s after Kennedys visit, to twist on classics like Diplomático Old Fashion or Sidecars.
MoreOld school colonial era hotel with smothering service, impeccably maintained with the best cigar shop in Phnom Penh. Lots of weekly specials on food and drinks.
MoreHistoric Elephant Bar at the Raffless Hotel Le Royal! Femme Fatale is an honorary cocktail created in this bar for Jackie Kennedy. Having regulars such as Charlie Chaplin, hotel is almost 100 years old. French colonial legacy is still visible here! It is very expensive dont forget to visit during their happy hour.
MoreLovely food and lovely service. Great surroundings.Updated: back in this hotel again last March, friendly bar staff but food dropped a notch in quality from what I remember last time (I had the Loc Lak)
MoreThe best bar in town i love the singarpore sling, great staff warm welcome from the door to the bar, great to have drink if you are in town you cant miss to visit Elephant Bar both histroricaland landmark, try out some drink there and looking for Mr. VUTHY, Mr. PISAL, Ms. Siyan and Voleak they all great and friendly with quality drink, listen to a great live piano peace youself from busyness and relaxing never ever have in other bar in town.
MoreIt was disgusting!!!Ive drank many Singapore Slings in many bars all over the world. You would think that a bar like the Elephant bar in the Raffels hotel would do it especially well... Schumanns would turn around in his grave!!!I do not advise you to visit this locality if you have a sense for quality depending cocktails.
MoreToday we went to this bar expecting high class cocktails. Even though we might have been a bit underdressed for the occasion I was really looking forwards to a Singapore Sling from an original Raffels bar. We were utterly disapppointed, the drinks had no finesse and were prepared without any sense for the art in preparing high class cocktails. So I really think, that the good reviews are either written by the staff itself or people with lacking knowledge about what a good and what an acceptable drink is. And for a price this high (15$ each, plus fees and tax), it is no unreasonable demand to expect something really good.
MoreIntimate bar with a good selection of cocktails during their happy hour, with wonderful staff. Went around 5pm in a Monday.
MoreI loved to be in there. Friendly people and nice foods~~ Love to be with beautiful design~~
MoreA must do authentic Phnom Penh experience, come for the amazing (and super longHappy Hour. Stay for the half yards of beer and great cocktails
MoreGreat place!! Romantic, Historical, cozy, friendly staff, good wine and cheese!! 5 stars standard hotel.. very recommended place.
MoreGreat experience. Probably the best cocktails in Phnom Penh. Not cheap, but happy hour does ease the pain on the wallet ;-)
