Elefánt Étterem in Veszprem

Excellent restaurant in the old town of Veszprem. Quality food and fairly large portions. Very clean and staff were very friendly. Menu in Hungarian and English and staff spoke English so no issues for non Hungarians. Would certainly recommend the Veal Wiener Schnitzel...

Does not respect people from another country. We are offered a table but no chairs, we try to ask them for chairs, but completely ignore us. Then suddenly they tell us its full. I do not recommend, I have the impression that they do not support people who do not speak their language.

Very nice view, kind staff but little pricy

This restaurant really lives up to the good reviews. The food is good, you have healthy options to choose from, the staff is kind. It can be a bit overpriced but at least you get good quality for it. Highly recommended.

Great place alltogether, if You visit Veszprém definitely worth a try. The food had great textures, the chef specialised himself on that area, I liked it very much, although the spices could have been handled a tad braver. Maybe it is because not everyone likes the spicy food, and I didnt mean strong, but acids, vinegar, pepper, characteristic tatstes did had missed from the food.

Great food, great location and big portions. Parking is easy but be cautious and read the signs though, as there is a street with private parking reserved for officials!

Food was delicious. I have eaten roasted pork neck, my wife had roasted chicken. Both were delicious, and pretty decent portion. The service was great too. The location is beautiful as well. I can only recommend.

Kind staff, lovely food, cozy atmosphere. We arrived spontaneously without any reservations, still managed to get an intimate and private balcony table with faint light. The attentive waiters warned us about the current peak time in the restaurant and that we might have to wait longer than normally. Nevertheless, service was fast and efficient. The menu was elaborately designed with wide range of dishes: soup, salads, bistro selection with street food, pizzas, pasta... The Aperol Spritz was refreshing, however I did not like the plastic straw in it. But this is the only negative point I can mention. You know, environment friendlyness starts with these little things and should be a decisive factor in choosing a place to eat.Still, we enjoyed our dinner so much, we even got to see a short improvised drama show, since at a point an idiot pedestrian started swearing at one of the poor waiters so loudly that everyone turned their attention to them. It was a comical intermezzo and we praised the waiter on handling the situation so calmly.Prices are also reasonable and the location is impeccable in the still, romantic, historical city centre. Highly recommend the place!

Best place to eat in Veszprém. It is quite small, so at busy times it can get full. The food is excellent and the waiters are very friendly. The atmosphere is very cosy. Would recommend.

Small but nice place. After you walk around the castel, you can rest here. The kitchen is very good.

Cozy place, the food was excellent and the service was good. I ordered Red wine beef tenderloin ragout with fairy ring mushrooms, pearl onions and potato croquettes. I can recommend it to everyone! :)

Its a cozy place around the castle. I cant comment on the food as we only popped in for coffee. Coffee was average but the environment is great. They also have various tasty hot chocolates and wide selection of teas. Good for a short break.

The food is OK, the place is good for a romantic dinner and a business meeting as well.

It is one of the few places where I ate fantastic gnocchi. This cosy restaurant is in a central area. You immediately feel relaxed, the service is always in time, and on a summer night the lampions grant a very romantic atmosphere to the place.
