1. Customer service is poor.2. When I arrived at the hotel to check in, I had to wait a long time (30 minutesbefore being given my room card.3. I entered my room and noticed that it had not been cleaned up after the previous occupant had left.4. The hotel staff could have given me another room. But they had to clean up the current room for me, so I had to wait another 30 minutes.

Ela Beach Hotel & Apartments is one of the best in Port Moresby but it is quite expensive.However,they have big family apartments and big self contained rooms for sleeping and extra big rooms for meeting and conference hosting..they also have a nice pool at the centre of the hotel.The food is very delicious. They have all foods and drinks menu..the environment is clean and looks very healthy and the place is guarded and it is safe for people to go and atleast feel the comfortableness of Ela Beach Hotel &Apartments..

Ive heard horror stories about EBH & A, The first test was laundry, Unlike other hotels, the didnt offer a set time period for same day service so I was surprised when my laundry was delivered two and the half hours later, pressed and folded👍👍Next was room service - Very prompt.The breakfast was a bit wanting, the cereals didnt do it for me 👍Recommended food to try: PNG STYLE Chocolate 3 ways, absolutely perfect...You should try it.Gave it a four star for the breakfast lack of choices.

Food poisoning is consistent with this establishment for YEARS! I am not sure why.... its not everytime, but you are bound to get sick!! Also watch out for your drinks. Hair in my coffee which I sent back. Never going back to eat again. Yesterday was my last time.

Apartment was very spacious however the WIFI was non-existent. Friendly staff however the standard quarantine food was terrible. Food was like a kai bar (rice/chips with fried chicken/fishthe cake slice was the size of a matchbox!

As part of quarantine requirements, I stayed here for 14 days. The package comes with an upgraded wifi. Please dont believe them, its a gimmick. The wifi is the slowest I ever encountered in a 4-star hotel. I have raised the issue a few times with the hotel, but to no avail from them.Forgot to mention, the food was absolute rubbish.

Part of a.major hotel group although it has probably been on of the quieter hotels in the Coral Seas group it has always been a pleasant well run property with a "cult" following of guests.Until recently the dining room had been sub leased and was very popular.I have yet try the new set up although I have heard it us reasomanle

Food is great. They have a new Filipina chef that we met. Food serving at really big taste is superb. They have very delicious pastries at their bakery and meals although a bit high end is excellent. Love thw butter chicken.

Good place to go when you are in Port Moresby. Staff are welcoming and hospitable. Reasonable price per night, food is okay.Perfect view of the Ela Beach front much more beautiful at night looking out with the lights on as you watch families, public enjoy themselves just hanging around there.At the far right is the APEC house.Just a set backThe cushion chair at the bulcony was socked wet and I couldnt use it.Otherwise, generally okay.

Im not sure about the rooms but I did eat at the beachside brasserie restaurant.I found it to be over priced and quality lacking. I had the 350g sirloin steak, everything was bland from the mushroom sauce to the fries and meat. I had two pieces of steak stacked on each other. The one on top was clearly fresh and I could just taste the smokey charred flavour from the grill but the second piece looked like it was old and didnt look right and smelt a little off. Its as if the bad piece of meat was intentional hidden under the good one. So disappointed. Even the seafood and vegetable soup was bland and tasted like everything was just boilt in water.Just not happy that Im charged K80 for for steak and K25 for soup. I hope the standards can be lifted soon to where they were a few years back.

Stayed at this place for a week, good experience, limited option for breakfast (from egg-benedict to omelette then sunnysideup back to benedict again haha).The restaurant offer various western food for lunch and dinner (the pizza was delicious, you must try it).The room was okay, sometimes you didn’t get mineral water and you need to ask.They offer pick-up and drop to/from the airport, you just need send an email for that before arrival.There is atm machine inside the hotel, and I am able to withdraw a cash using my card.

The staff were very pleasant and had excellent customer service. My mum an I checked out of Ela Beach Hotel, Easter Monday but my mum’s wrist watch decided to extend its stay without her notice. Thanks to the pleasant housekeeping staff who shortened its stay in the room and safe kept it at the reception office until Friday, same week. I’m glad she got her watch back. Thank you.

My family and I went to this restaurant tonight but were ignored for more than 10 minutes with no one to take our order. While oredering, we were told that most things on the menu were unavailable. Finally after we were able to order, we waited for more than an hour for the food. We got frustrated, just paid for our drinks and walked out. Service was so poor. I dont think we will go back here ever again.

I have been a frequent customer for years. Recently the quality of food and how it is presented has dropped dramatically. The pasta for the Carbonara was totally overcooked, everything was covered in a slimy coat of cheese, the bacon was old and chewy. This place needs a new chef who knows what to do with food.

Great food and great service, they know how to treat their customers and clients.Had my card declined several times and realised it was a bank system failure and asked if I could leave them a personal bank cheque and they accepted it without question.Not every business does that. Very grateful for service

What a great friendly boutique in terrific spot across the road from the Pacific ocean. Staff are helpful and food is good. Book the rooms in the tower if available!

The beach side brassier has a really poor customer service. Their restaurant staff dont smile...Only converse or make conversation with the white folk. Whats new in PNG hospitality?Our meal had very little salt. The parmesan chicken tasted like pork because the cheese was off and the tomatoes sauce was sour.There is no meet and greet, all Staff on a Sunday and especially a mothers day had a very dry welcome with no emotion..I found the service very amusing.ThanksVetau

staff is not trained ...they cant give accurate information specially the front disc attendant ...no politeness ever ....disastrous capacities ...will never go back again. and by the way dry cleaning takes for one week ...becouse staff keep forgetting to get it back or inform you!!!

My partner and I are regulars at the Ela Beach Restaurant but my concern is the customer service given at the pool side, is so slow. And talk about the ladies toilet is just so disgusting and not well managed. There is seriously no paper towel to dry your hands and the toilet is just so filthy.

We like going to Ela Beach Hotel cause it is not so busy and staff are friendly.

Great service and smiling staff give this place a amazing atmosphere. I stay here all the time and this is where I bring my Kokoda and MT Wilhelm trekking clients. The hotel rooms are great some of the better ones in png now the renovations are complete. Two pools and a decent gym to use. The location is perfect close to the city and other restaurants but I find the food in the restaurant is a high standard. Never had a bad meal here or had any of my clients get sick from the food.Having stayed at other hotels in the chain and other chains in the area I found the overall service here the best.The new General Manager is really efficient and cares for the hotel as her own.If you are looking for a good overall place to stay and eat in Port Moresby this would be my pick.

A Review only for the restaurant - The only damn place in the whole of Port Moresby that aired the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 - thus a bunch of us went over there.Poor Service - period. Maybe it was her off day, or an extra shift, or had a fight with her boyfriend, or the cook, or simple racism - whatever it was - we gave the girl waiting on us plenty of chances and all we got was poor service, delayed services, scornful looks, mutterings and dark scowls.The soup was just hot water, the garlic bread not worthy of a mention and the beer on draught was expensive.Wont be going back in a hurry (unless they get monopoly on something else again)

A pretty good hotel in a great location. The restaurant is fine and the better rooms are great but there are some lesser quality rooms which could be avoided unless you are on a budget. Staff are helpful and generally efficient.

Rooms are average, the more expensive rooms are quite nice. Place tends to be busy and noisy. Annoyingly there is no after hours room service to the restaurant, seriously needs to be addressed

Used to be really good but now it is on the lower end of the good hotels. Eating is ok but the rooms are a bit average. Come on management!

I would give them more except out of a 7 day stay I only had hot water in the morning twice. Everytime the water was cold I complained to the front desk and was told someone would look at it. After the second time I reported it they should have offered to move me but they hardly acknowledge my complaint. Not once was I offered a new room or an apology.When I checked out I mentioned it once more and this time they did not even respond, it was if I had said nothing at all.In addition the room ($170/nightwas so small I could not walk past the wall mount TV without banging my shoulder into it. There was less than 1m to any side of the bed.The restaurant food and cleanliness have both improved since my last visit but the food is still not worth the price they charge.
