Very slow service. Vegetarian was given sauce and beans with meat and the fish so way over cooked.

This place is just amazing. I always get the Carne Asada Fries (I think thats what its called?with extra cheese. They never disappoint. Its a big meal so I always have leftovers, too!

The food was good, as it is at other locations we have visited. The waitress wasnt really paying attention. She was really nice, but we nearly had to tackle her to get all of our food and drink refills!😁

Worst margarita Ive ever had. Had to send them back and they were still awful. Queso with chorizo was pretty good, rest of the food was meh.

Mexcellent!!All 4 of our meals were hot and fresh.We enjoyed the chips, salsa and Mexican slaw.

I will never get tired of this place. Amazing every single time. Green chili is fire AND they have posole!! Even though there’s many locations, this one is simply the best. I hope it never changes

Not much to say about this restaurant except that food was good, service was more than good and price was fair now space is kind of tight specially on the booths and is the same on the parking lot it gets too tight even when the restaurant is not that full.

I recently moved to Golden and am on the hunt for great Mexican food and sadly, this is not it. My chicken in the mole was tough and very overcooked, the mole sauce was terrible, the chips were stale, and the salsa bland. My wife got the shrimp tacos and was similarly unimpressed. Add to this that it was $75 for 3.5 people and we won’t be going back. However, we’re looking forward to finding a great local spot, but this ain’t it.

Food is decent, the service was something to be desired. We stopped in at 5pm, so diner time. Only 4 tables occupied, yet every worker was essentially standing around talking. I had to get up twice to get thier attention for drinks and then to finally order food. Its like they could of cared less for the business. Then, someone just dropped the check off without a word. The service was so much better when it was El Senior Sol. Sadly didnt see any of the older staff there. Ashame.

Very good authentic Mexican food. The menu is HUGE! Service was quick and friendly. The food was delicious, generously portioned, and served up piping hot. A great place for a big family gathering, a couples date, or even just solo for a quick hot and delicious meal. ¡Una barriga muy feliz!

You can’t tell from the picture, so I’ll spill the beans, so to speak. The pork in the pork carnitas enchiladas is crazy tender, if it were any more tender it couldn’t even be pork. As you can tell it was light on the sauce. The margarita with casa amigos tequila was only $10 and was fresh and excellent. Everything else, unfortunately, was struggling to be average. I could be wrong, but the guacamole tasted like the stuff you get at the grocery store. The beans were ok, however the rice was dry and not so flavorful. Overall, i was satisfied because the enchiladas filled me up.

Amazing food! I usually do not eat the chips and salsa but I almost ate the entire basket by myself, delicious! My octopus and mushrooms platter was so tender and good. Will definitely return!

Can not go wrong with mexican food ordered the burrito with Carne asada plate are huge the size of a small pizza filled with rice and beans. 2 and half servings.

Tbh this place was not as good as people said it was. So I tried it for myself and I had the posole and just wasnt real happy with it, and service was was slow and had to wait a good amount of time for waters and drinks soon then came but has potential of being a good restaurant just need to take the time to prep the food better!

Absolutely the best chili relleno I have ever had, not your traditional relleno but definitely worth trying, the salsa they put on top is drinkable! Also the chili Colorado was worth moving to Lakewood for. I havent had chili Colorado that good outside of New Mexico! I will most certainly be back.

Very good food the portion sizes make it very much worth it!! Staff was fast and friendly!! 10/10 👌 This dip was so good it consisted of cabbage onions tomatoes cilantro it was very tasty. Their menu had a lot of variety!!

Our servers, Lucy and Rita were excellent! Food was delicious! And our drinks were yummy!! Chips and salsa were spicy but good. Very clean with good background music!

We were in town for a few days, seeing some shows at Red Rocks, and looking for great, local places to eat. Read about El Tequileno and ended up eating there twice, as we enjoyed the fare so much.They have an extensive(!)menu and tequila offerings, with a wide variety of seafood, including baby octopus, which I have rarely seen. Even the tortillas, chips and salsa were fresh and delicious. And were from Southern California, where Mexican food is plentiful!If youre a fan of Mexican food you should consider El Tequileno - we doubt youll be disappointed.

It was a little slow to start, took a while to be waited on but there is Covid so took that into consideration. Once we ordered things went along quite smoothly. We got what we ordered and the food was good. Staff was friendly as well.

Wow! Very Good! Still, very different from Texas Mexican and very tasty! We did not find it spicy at all. They have a large menu with lots of variety. I definitely recommend the mojito loco. Plates were large. Would return!

Awesome mexican restaurant. A Mexican friend of mine said once "the way you can tell a good Mexican restaurant is how good their chips and salsa is". They are very good here. I had the Veggie taco salad, amazing. Also had a house margaritas, refreshing in a 100 degree weather. Highly recommend it.

We stopped here being hopeful that it would be good. We were absolutely blown away with the food. It is real authentic Mexican food. The tortillas and the Chips are made at the restaurant fresh. The tortillas are the best I have ever tasted. The flan is authentic also, very very good. Whenever we come back through we will stop again. They have several other locations throughout the area also.

Ive been ordering food from here for over a year. Within the last six months Ive been getting less and less chips with my order. So I decided to order a side of cheese dip and chips with my usual order. I was given less than a third of bag of chips. When I called to ask about this I was told the staff is not allowed to put more than half a bag of chips per plate. I attached a photo for reference. Look how much cheese dip they expect you to eat per chip, I will have alot of cheese dip left over. Ridiculous and cheap. Theyre chips, Im not asking for a full bag. But a legitimate half bag would have been fine. Not cool El Tequileno, change your stingy ways.They also forgot my plastic wear again, third time in a row for this to have happen.

The customer service was great! If you are in the mood for real authentic Mexican food you must stop by, its so good!

My boyfriend and I have been coming here for 7 years and weve never had a bad experience. The serves are always nice, and the manager is amazing. Its definitely a family atmosphere and we feel like family. They have a huge selection of tequila, cold beer, and yummy drinks. Table side guacamole, and the chipotle burrito and the sauce on it is delicious! You cant go wrong deciding to eat here.

In town on vacation and stopped here..Salsa was amazing, the menu was pretty big so just ordered enchiladas, they were really good. House margarita was tasty as well. Great server.

Was planning on grabbing some tacos from Salsas La Huacha (genuinely authentic, decent little taco trailer down the road, $10 and youre fullbut realized they were closed when I got there. Figured Id try this place out as it had good reviews...and I am beyond confused how.Probably the worst Mexican food Ive had in my life.I would genuinely rather eat at taco bell.The portion was large, but 2/3rds ended up in the trash...and Im currently regretting eating the third that I did.Meat had no flavor other than that of burnt oil and was tough, rice was beyond bland and the basic canned refried beans with clumped cheese were...exactly as youd expect.The guac was almost watery with a bit of Avacado flavor overpowered by the chunks of onion.Chipotles guac is at least 4x as good and its not even that great. How an American/Mexican restaurant can beat an "authentic Mexican" restaurant four fold is beyond me....and it cost $22.Additionally, I ordered takeout, waited for the food to be handed to me from the kitchen, threw it on the seat warmer and drove 5 min home... It was completely cold by the time I got there.Still mind blown by the 4.6 star review.Yall need to go eat in Austin, TX or something and then come back to adjust your reviews.Gets a solid star from me.

After a great hike in Evergreen, we stopped by Golden CO for some much deserved cocktails! This place did not disappoint! Everything we ordered was fantastic and the service was great! Everyone deserves a good meal and drinks after hiking!

Probably the best Mexican food I’ve had outside of Texas. It wasn’t until my second visit I figured out it was a local chain. The service is great and the management genuinely seems to care.

I used to come to this restaurant years ago as they had the best fish tacos in Denver, IMO. This trip was terrific, great portions, great staff and our food was served to us lightning quick. I had the carnitas taco special. Fabulous!!

With everything just opening back up I must say the staff here is marvelous and are in good spirits. The food was amazing and the portions are absolutely jaw dropping. Will definitely be back

Friendly service, giant portions and great flavors. Got the sample appetizer, with taquitos, nachos, and quesadillas , and it was enough for 4 people. The burrito shown here is perfect for 2. Prices are reasonable. Ill be back again!
