El Tap - Bar in San Juan, Puerto Rico
Great selection and very friendly staff.
My husband, my brother inlaw and his wife likes the atmosphere of this place. If you love beer you are going to love it! 🍻🍺🍻
Wonderful beer selection of local and imported favorites. Bartenders were patient and very knowledgeable.
Excellent vibe and lots of beers. Im a Belgian beer man myself and they have an amazing tripel on tap. The energy is very low key and great for a date night! Couches and comfy chairs are near the front for great people watching.
I love this brewery. Excellent ambience to be with friends.
50 something beers on tap. Very nice appetizers while you drink
Went there with a group of people tried many different beers on tap they had some good choices. We ate some bar bites there to. Onion rings were very good so was the pork sliders and sweet potato fries. Every one in our group was happy with the food and service we will be going back.
Really great beer selection. Chill atmosphere and decent staff. They did present us with a list of things they didnt have, which included half of the menu, but what they did have was great.
Solid place to grab drinks and a bite to eat in San Juan. Loved the local beer and octopus.
This is definitely a must stop if you love good craft beer. They have 19 local and 20 other good options!
Great selection of craft beers. Well worth a visit
El Tap is definitely a must visit if you love beer. An amazing selection of local and imported beers that are reasonably priced. If you’re really taken with a beer you can buy a growler and take it with you to go. Since there are so many options you can sample the beers before you order which is always nice. The tapas are great as well.
Lots of beers on tap, however a lot were tapped the day I was there. The staff was great! The local beers were super tasty.
Lovely people, great selection of real beers. Gotta pay the price, but this is the best beer place we found in PR.
Grilled cheese + tomato soup so good and the beef sliders tasty but the croquetas yummy yummy we order them twice. Good service, good beer and cool ambiance. Coming back for sure.
Delicious local craft beers abound here. The bar food was unique and very flavorful. Also the only place I found that airs fútbol (soccerin San Juan.
What beers they did have avaliable were quite good and the food was really good for pub food.It was disappointing however that 10 of their taps had nothing to offer and another 10+ taps were sold out.
Great service and extremely clean! Ive never seen cleaner public bathrooms in my life. Delicious variety of brews. They check vaccination cards or valid PCR tests upon arrival. Other than that small bump on the road, dope spot to come and crack one open.
The service was fantastic. The space is well designed. My only eh was that the cushioned seats werent as comfortable as I wanted and my legs would get stuck when trying to get out.Great beer...great sangria. The people really made it for me. We got there right when they opened and we were greeted well! We didnt eat here but food is available and what we saw coming out of the kitchen looked great!
Excellent place, beer, food and service was super great. A lot of good beers.
really chill vibe with great beers and many beers to choose from. some bar bites.
Best place to grab a beer. Draft beers galore! Also try their grilled cheese, its to die for!
Nice place to be relaxing and delight with excellent tapas, music and a good variety of local and international craft beers.
The Place is Amazing! The Best Draft Beer Selection in Town, and Food Must Try the "Tuna Tartar Dish" prepared by Chef Tony🐸🇵🇷✌️
Great craft beer pub with lots of quality options, including local, domestic, and international brews. Plus a friendly knowledgeable staff. Will definitely make repeat visits any time I want a good beer in San Juan
Went here with my family. It took us 45 mins to be able to order our food. When the food started coming out, it came out one plate at a time so people had to awkwardly start eating their food. Then my dads plate was given to another table by the waitress on accident. When we asked why his food was taking so long, she lied and said the chef got confused and messed up the order. We know she lied because the manager came over later to explain what happened not knowing the waitress already made up a lie to us about it. Did the waitress apologize at all, ever, once? No. The unconventional sangria options may as well be sparkling wine juice. The passion fruit sangria was nothing even close to a sangria. And while Im nitpicking, they serve imperial stouts here in the same glasses as IPAs and ales. Imperial stouts are not served in the same quantity as other beers because its extremely thick and heavy, also high in alcoholic percentage. Its supposed to come in a glass closer in quantity to a serving of wine. Not a good look for a place promoting itself as an expert in beers to mess up something so trivial. You cant just serve a bunch of different beers and call yourself a tap house. You have to be an expert in beers, through and through.TL;DR: horrendously slow service on a night that wasnt that busy. All options are very highly priced for the serving sizes. Waitress gave my dads food to another table and lied about it. The flavored sangria is closer to alcoholic juice tea. This place serves a lot of different beer but they seemingly dont know much about all varieties. And all of this would have been a lot more bearable if the waitress had apologized just once. For the food taking forever, for messing up my dads order by giving it to the wrong table, for lying about what happened. A few other mistakes were made but if she had apologized once, it couldve saved that whole experience. One and done, to the next spot.
The beers are really good, place is nice. The restroom was close. U are drinking beer and no bathrooms, ehhhhh! They said was not working, but I used moving every keg and was working perfectly. Soooo bad. They talked to me, so nice! Hope everything goes well. Love the place! But I do need a restroom when drinking . Hope the best.
Good variety of beers. Nice staff. Delicious small dishes with outstanding flavors. The fillet was delicious and cooked to perfection with beautiful balanced charred crust. Very good tuna tartare with the thinest and crispiest wonton chips ever. Juicy pulled pork sliders with a sweet tangy sauce. The fried dumplings were served with a delicious dipping sauce. The crispy pulpo (octopusis tender and delicious. It is a shame that theyve reduce the amount they put on the plate.
Broad selection of local craft beers. Delicious food.
Great atmosphere, 18 Puerto Rican craft beers!!!. Food was great, you can grab your favorite beers to go in crowlers, growler #drinklocal
Great bar, lots of selections, all on taps. Love the atmosphere, great place to chill with friends or with that special one. Servers are good and knowledgeable. They also have a jar system, in different sizes where you select the jar you want and fill it with your choice of beer, sangria or wine. Their sangria and wine selection is very limited, but you dont go there for that, therefore its nice they have those alternatives as well.
Sad we didnt get a lot of time here. This place capped our first day in PR and we were a bit exhausted. We also had just eaten so were only rating on the beer/bar service. ...and that was great! PLENTY of beers to choose from and the servers were very attentive. I could have spent hours in there and not got to all the beers I wanted to try! The food looked good. The only reason we didnt come back was too many other places to go and see. We are definitely coming back on the next trip!
Friendly place with a lot of local beers. Recommend it if you like to try new beers
Possibly the best grilled cheese in PR. And a great beer selection—46 and 18 are from PR!
You guys nailed it! Great local beers on tap in a great tap room! I highly recommend the crowler for the beach! It could afford to be a few ozs less as the PR heat and sun are brutal to a beer exposed to the elements for more than 10 minutes. Seriously awesome spot on Loiza!!!
Nice place to have the best of local draft beer and imported draft beer. Fine restaurant. In the heart of San Juan.
Lots of beer on tap that features a lot of local varieties in addition to more widely distributed favorites, so there is something for everyone. The food is pretty good as well, if youre in need of a snack in between or during drinks. They also have TVs which can play sports, movies, etc.
The beer selection is fantastic! The food was really good as well. I loved the ambiance (enjoyed my time there on a couch by the window), and the wait staff was very attentive and helpful. They played very good music, but at a volume that allowed for a quiet conversation. Parking can be a challenge for its located on a very busy street.
Very cool place to hang out and get some good drinks.
Great beer selection. 15 local beers on tap. Bartender was super helpful and had a lot of good info to share. Coming from Portland, Oregon it was great to find a place to get a draft beer.
Loved this place, huge variety of crafted beers, great music and atmosphere. The bartender knows almost everything about the beers they sell so they had great reccomendations. The "chicharrones de pulpo" were awesome, Ive tried the sliders and the bacon slides w mermelade, are ok, but the favs were the "chicharrones de pulpo". If you want to try different beers and have a good talk with friends this is a great place to go. This place is a must go!
Tons of beers on tap to choose from. You can get flights of beer, which I prefer at a place like this so you can try as many different types of beers as possible. Theres a good variety of beers to choose from, so whether you like porters or IPAs youll be good.
About 50 beers on tap ! And tasty food. Cool laid back lounge atmosphere plus great service. I’ll be back. Ps the pork tacos are a full meal.
Great selection of tap beers and tapas. Perfect place to meet with some friends.
Friendly service. Manu selections of beer and you can even request a simple of 4 different kinds of beer for sampling. First date material.
If you like craft beer from home look no further than here. Over more than 40 craft beers for you to taste. Hungry as well? Have some tapas. Dumplings and sliders as well. Its a bit cozy and it gets full as the night rolls in. But you will have fun. This I assure you.
Comfortable modern seating, well lit and great music. The beer was delicious but they didnt have porter options, the food was yummy but being accustomed to larger portions in PR I was hoping for a little bit more. Overall I enjoyed my experience at the bar, very lively and up beat. Ill for sure return in the near future!P.s - they gave samples of the beer before purchase which was extremely helpful in deciding which to get with their wide variety.
Its cool. Best place for beer around. But when we were asking the bartender about buying growlers he was "very rude" (use whatever word you like best). Go here for beer to go and bring your own growler. Or go where the wait staff are good people.
Great place you can have a great beer or order to go either 32 or 64 oz. Great presentation, friendly staff. Good food.
El Tap just opened in my neighborhood this week. As beer lovers, we had to check it out, and we were NOT disappointed! 38 beer taps the first week (plus 8 winesis unparalleled in Puerto Rico, where the majority of bars dont even have a single tap. Prices are reasonable, sliders are good. Staff is great!!!
