El Sizzling Lomito - Argentinian restaurant in Auckland, New Zealand
The restaurant manager is very rude and unapologetic on cancelling our booking with no clear explanation. The food is very average too. The old manger is much nicer. Sad to see this place is getting worse and worse.
We were a group of 10 people, but 40mins to bring out drinks and 1.5hrs to bring out the food is ridiculous. Plus they stuffed up the order. However the food is pretty good although rather expensive.
Me again, your loyal customer. This time I brought another friend and try this new shop. Still my favourite short ribs and kumara chips. They are worthy our waiting (a bit long). The Chinese waiter provided great service.I also gave 5 stars in your Zomato page. Hope to help you guys reach higher rating.
I usually order their food through UberEats and normally is good, but today was awful. Greasy chips and medium rare-blue-well cooked meat (all in one). Very dissapointed and not ordering again.
Went here for date night with my partner and was very impressed. My partner ordered the Calamari Sandwich with Fries and I ordered the Chicken Sandwich with Kumara Fries, everything was quality. Not overpriced. Very good bread, freshly cooked Chicken/Calamari, then we finished with Churros with Caramel/Chocolate Sauce for desert, INCREDIBLE! We really wanted the Dulce De Leche parfait but they had it removed from their menu but it just wasnt updated on the site/menu we had which is no biggie. Food came out very quick too, service was spot on, I cant fault them for anything - highly recommended!
This restaurant is fantastic. Not posh or fancy but cosy. The food is wonderful. Service extremely friendly. Will go again.
Smoky Woodfire ribs and rocket! Authentic!
Steak was okay but nothing special. Restaurant is not self contained. Good service.
Great little place tucked into a small food court on K Rd. Had the Pulled Beef Burger which was very tasty. Finished our meal with the Churros!! Good times. Staff are also good & attentive.
Great steak, Argentinian Style cooked to perfection. Had the July special, elemental festival Karanga Riukiuta rib eye, cooked over coals, best. Thanks.
Great service, food not bad but not great either
Im really not into beef but it was one of the best beef burgers ive ever had. Well done guys.HIGHLY recommanded👍
Lovely meat range and friendly staff. We experienced a bit of wait since one of the staff was being trained. Really tasty empanadas !!
Friendly service and amazing food! Everything tasted amazing, and the churros we had for dessert were the best churros Ive had in NZ. Recommended!
This restaurant is super unique. Firstly the customer service is Spectacular! The atmosphere is very different and really made us felt away from home! If anything what attract me and partner was the fireplace it was marvelous and unique. If you looking for a place with different cuisine and kicking environment this place is the best.Food variety and taste was good but need more seasoning and price for food was balance according to the restaurant. Overall the experience was amazing. We enjoyed our time there and for anyone who is eagerly want to try something new must visit this place.
I got an amazing aged beef rump steak from El Sizzling Lomito butchery! Cooked at home for some friends and everyone was delighted! Highly recommended!!
Came here with a small group of work colleagues. We all got their burgers, I just got the normal cheese burger. It was nice, the fries were great too, but the burger was just dripping oil all over the place, was a surprising amount too. The other menu options look nice, would come back to try more.
Had dinner here last week and the food was definitely worth the wait! We had the Parrillada para 2 and the meat was cooked to perfection! Service was a little slow but as I said - we’ll worth the wait!
Drink Torrontes (Argentinean aromatic white winewith your lomitos, the best white wine by the glass on Krd and probably the only place you can have torrontes by the glass in Auckland!
Very friendly, providing prompt service with good advice on the Argentinian wine list. We both have the steak which was very good with a very fresh salad and the side of potatoes was delicious.
Great steaks, friendly staff and nice ambience
100% good old fashioned service and steak thats cooked over genuine wood fired char embers which has the wood fired taste good relaxing meal
We normally go to El Sizzling Chorizo which has been always great. This time we wanted to try Limito and I orderd the T-bone which is $38 and not only I asked for medium-rare and it was almost well-done but also it was the worst steak I ever had and I told the staff and he said this is aged and you probably never had aged steak before or not used to the taste. My wife had the sirloin and that was barely eatable. We both left almost all of the food as it smelled badly and taste was terrible and even though we complained they did not offer anything instead or any apologies.Funny thing is that my friend who went there a month ago had the same experience. Not recommended, over priced and bad taste!!!!
Beautiful meat and a great experience
Awesome service and quality meat! Would go back. Went for dinner with my mum and dad on Wednesday 12 December and the manager went above and beyond for us! Would go back
Thank you so much Brad, great service, warm, funny, and great food, thanks to the guy in the barbecue too! Cheers Brad, awesome dinner. PS: this is the tall Argentinian guy the the 3 Slovenian friends, sorry we were late! = cheers brother.
Its usually OK but the sizes have become smaller recently and therefore quite pricy. The parrilada had lamb ribs that had almost no meet.
Food and service absolutely outstanding. One of the coolest restaurants Ive ever been to. Awesome to watch them cooking the meats also, and fairly reasonably priced. Will definitely be returning.
U deserve zero star! Such a waste of Money, went home disappointed, we ordered empanadas, and calamari to start, portions are too small, my partner had t-bone steak, it came soo dry and over cooked, and tasteless (yuck)?worst steak ever!!!! For $38, i had sandwich with melted cheese it was also dry and no salt or seasoning not even mayo... We tried chorizo and black pudding another regrettable choice, asked for the missing chinchilla but i was ignored. We were totally fooled by the comments and reviews of this resto! DONT ever try!!!!
Came by for lunch cause we were wanting tasty meats. It is located inside the KRd Food Workshop and hard to miss with its large embering stove behind the counter. It wasn;t too busy when we arrive so we were seated and given menus promptly and able to order when we were ready. The biggest difference from what I can remember is that they didnt use to sell (as muchmeats. They now have a cabinet in the back with a range of different meaty goodies. The lomito was delicious as always. The milanesita (fried lamb tenderloinswere a bit over cooked though so they were a bit bland, but the sauce that came with it made it tasty.Nice place for a quick place to grab some tasty food.
So good!
Really good sirloin! Delicious kumara chips.
We had the Parillada para 2, which wasnt a lot of food, nor was it very tasty. The meat wasnt cooked with salt, as it is ought to be, we didnt receive a piece of bread (we did after asking to be fair), no salad or anything on the side like Argentinas traditional chimichurri.. We expected a lot more for the 42 dollars that this costs. We had dinner at El Sizzling Chorizo last week, and had quite high expectations after that night, which was very good! Unfortunately we did not like this too much. We will not be coming back.
We ordered the "La Parrilada" one, which the menu says it serves two, but could be easily be eaten by one. Not because is good, but because is not that much food. Maybe other dishes are better, but this one I dont recommend.
Stumbled across this delicious restaurant the other day for lunch and was surprised by the high quality of the food! I ordered the Bandiolita sandwich and my boyfriend got the special meatball sandwich. We also ordered a side of the onion rings. Both sandwiches were absolutely gorgeous! We ordered 2 beers and it all came to a very reasonable price! Staff were super friendly and service was quick. Its safe to say we will be returning.
Total ripoff. Sandwich was dry and bacon was hard as a rock. Pay extra $5 for a very tinny amount of chips.. You can get better value at a half the price.
Argentinians know how to cook steaks and bbqs
I have multiple food allergies and they fed me safely without any fuss. Dinner was relaxing. I had the gf lamb which went really well with the Temperanillo.
Staff members are friendly and the meats are very yummy; unfortunately, the black pudding is a little bit under-par. The sauces are good and really complement the meats. Just have to be aware that the food can take a long time to arrive; their time-frame is 20 minutes.
Not good! We waited for 50 mins to get food served, meat dont taste good. Ordered ribs, some were overcooked, some were under cooked. Not recommend to go there.
The food was amazing and good value, though we were expecting a restaurant and its part of a food court, but that wasnt reflected in the standard of the food or service. Nice drop of Argentinian wine too.
We had medium rare scotch fillet it was well cooked and so delicious. The entree chorizo was sooo good! The salad came with it was fresh as you could tell straight away! Chilled environment with great service. Highly recommended to anyone who would love to try Argentinian food!
Wow so delicious! We had the T bone steak which was cooked perfectly and had a great smokey flavour. The service was friendly and the food was fresh and tasty! Great atmosphere with a live band for a social night. This place is a find on k road! The portion sizes are right and its good value. The meat is relatively expensive, $38 for a T bone but its good quality and I would have to pay more elsewhere for a cut like this. There are lots of good side options but possibly could do with a few other snack options. So yum and cant wait to go back!
Ditch the vegetarian friends and head to this meaty place. Argentinian BBQ all the delicious meat on offer and cooked over nice wood fired Coles for authentic flavours. The empanadas are divine the short ribs were outstanding accompanied with deep fried potatoes, delicious.
Great dining experience. Served by Attentative friendly staff. We had started with the empanadas - best ive had so far; jucy and melts in your mouth. Matched with a tall glass of Hieneken. Then the Parilla - jucy cuts of lamb rib, skirt and very good chorizo with fries. It is a little expensive as we got a deal for two ($48the serving is a little too small for 2 & only enough chips for 1. Overall very good.
Perfectly cooked steak and especially delicious when topped with chimichurri
Excellent food! I was surprised by steak quality, which was melting in mouth. Charcoal grilled lamb, beef and sausages are the must try!
Fantastic Argentinian style sandwiches and meals matched with a beer menu. Top quality aged beef. Hard to beat!
Just got back from dinning at the sizzling lomito, what a great experience !!Atención to details great atmosphere and friendly staff took me straight back to my country , ArgentinaCorralino the owner is an excellent host and the rest of the staff really on to it .Great service, fantastic food Im coming back soon guys !!!
Amazing food, great staff. Real Argentinian style!
