Great hotel for the price, location is perfect.
I need to be contacted by the owner/operator/general manager ASAP. There is a current hurricane, so we are unable to keep our current dates. Just got off the phone with a representative and not only did our dates NOT get rescheduled as promised, we were charged in full as if we checked in. We keep receiving messages of “we will contact you back/speaking to the manager about this” but it does not happen.
Someone came into my room (probably staffand stole my pink Nintendo Switch. I did a police report with a staff member upfront. Frankly, the front desk clerk (malewas very uninterested in my report. He acted like I was disrupting him and I had to basically beg for a police report. It was a dampening experience on my birthday trip. Its been two weeks since my trip I have had NO CONTACT with anyone from the hotel. I gave the hotel a call and was told someone cancel the report (ironic huh). That really makes me feel like it was someone on their team that stole from me and then tried to cover their tracks. PLEASE IF YOU LIKE YOUR BELONGINGS STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS THIEVING HOTEL!!!!!!!!!
Not clean at all! Also, we asked twice for room service and they didn’t clean. We don’t even have clean towels. 3rd day asking for cleaning, they did the bed like a kid maybe in purpose. Good location though. But very dirty!
Room was much smaller than I expected and my view was of a parking lot however, it was clean and the staff was very nice. The breakfast was good and they provided it way longer than they stated to assure most had a chance to eat. I would recommend.
Service was nice, we only stayed one night. The first room we were given had a huge red stain on the carpet. We went back down and were given another room. For the price I was satisfied
Great location, very close to old San Juan. Staff is awesome and very friendly. There is no parking lot from the hotel, but they have a partnership with a parking very close by.Taking 1 star just because of the hotel temperature and size of the room. It was freezing, enough to sleep with the A/C in your room off and still wake up with a sore throat. You also had to sit side ways in the toilet to do your business because of how tiny the bathroom was.Apart from that, it was a reasonable price for the location.
Great service, nice and knowledgeable staff. Rooms are kind of small. Bed looks more like a double than a Queen. Great location in San Juan, on a small northern island, with lots to see and wonderful beaches.
I was charged for a service that was not provided by this hotel after making a reservation and cancelling within 24 hours due to a family emergency that resulted in my aunt being hospitalized in which I am the sole caregiver and this hotel failed to offer me a refund, even though the policy stated that I had until that day to cancel. Very terrible customer service the manager was not on property for the weekend and only available weekdays so I was unable to escalate the matter immediately. Terrible customer service do not use this hotel as they are unresponsive and do not offer refunds for cancellations and will charge you for a service they did not render.
We had the 2 queen and a pull out couch, the room was excellent very clean and spacious it had a table with 4 chairs and a desk with a very well lit vanity. People in the front desk are extremely helpful and very nice. They offer a small breakfast that includes bagels and cream cheese toast and jam and a small variety of cereal coffe juice and milk the only thing is that they do not have parking there is a lot across the street that offers 10 overnight parking. Close to a very beautiful beach
To eat the breakfast you should wake up early. Even though they serve breakfast until 9:30, after 8 I found a few items.
Our room was little, even though I won’t mind if all the other accommodations are there, which not. There were no bottle water, no tissues in the room; and the worst of all, on the first night there were such an “alboroto” in the corredor no one on the floor could sleep. I called like 20 times to the front desk, but no one answered because the clerk were talking loudly with the noisy guest of our floor. A bit disappointed 😕
DO NOT BOOK HERE! I booked a one night stay through hotels.com and selected the option to pay at hotel. They processed the payment the next day, WITHOUT MY AUTHORIZATION. When called, they said they process all one night stays, it’s their policy, yet that is NOT stated anywhere in the booking process of hotels.com. So I immediately canceled because I already got a sour taste in my mouth for this place. It’s funny how quickly they took a payment out, less than 24 hours, but yet I have to wait 3-5 days for it to be refunded. I will be pressing charges because I did not give authorization to process this payment.
This boutique hotel was super clean and super convenient. Perfect for a quick one night trip! Close to the airport. The desk clerk was super sweet. The room was spotless. Clean bed, hot shower. It was very relaxing. Just what I needed. Highly recommend 👌🏽
Upon the arrival of the Hotel we were greeted by Taina at the front desk. We didnt have an agenda and Taina is responsible for the wonderful stay here in Puerto Rico. We also met Luis who was also helpful in where to go and directions. Everything here it was amazing, the people, the place and their hospitality. We highly recommend this place.
The room is alright, it gets a 2 because the staff are nice other than that:1. The standard room is super small2. There are no windows (the window it do have, the air conditioner is there, so you can’t see anything)3. They served us spoil orange juice for breakfast4. The breakfast is meat, cheese & bread everyday5. All the photos of the surrounding areas are photos near the Hilton. (The Hilton is 2 mins away)6. The room is dirty, when you first walk in there was a large red stain on the floor. I asked if we could switch rooms for several reasons including because of this stain, the front desk lady told me that the hotel is overdue for a deep cleaning 🤢7. I had to ask for towels & a remote these things should’ve been in the roomOverall the entire stay I felt like I was in jail! No natural sunlight was getting into my room, I asked for a different room, the clerk said they were all booked, but during my entire stay, I never seen guest in the lobby, hallway, or elevator. There are much better options in the area! If you are like myself & like to do things near & at the hotel, this hotel is not for you!
Comfortable and peaceful little hotel.
The rooms are so small. If youre planning to work during the stay it has a strong wifi and rooms are neat. It doesnt have parking but there is a parking lot near by where you can park and it might cost almost $30 per day. Again, it depends on the number of hours you park though. It is close to san juan and food trucks are also near by. I stayed less in the hotel and mostly did the travel so it served my purpose. Rooms are not that cheap too..
Rooms are way too small and too expensive. Breakfast? Missing plates, ustensiles, coffee, napkins. 30 minutes walk to old San Juan.
The room was clean, newly renovated, all the necessary amenities you need for a one night stay. Not very large, actually small, with the bed, 2 luggages + me and my wife, we occupied the whole floor space. Breakfast in the morning..... pathetic, no coffee, no milk, no utensils, plates. I ate 2 slices of bread with butter and 4 remaining small slices of cheese to put in my toast. In their defense, it seemed that the receptionist was doing everything. Still, for the price we paid, I was expecting much more.
I have stayed here twice now and it’s a pretty good experience but not quite what you’d expect for the money. The common areas are great. The lobby and dining areas look new and it’s great having so much space on the first floor to eat or work. Unfortunately, the rooms have clearly not been worked on in a while, so it’s rather underwhelming getting into the room. For those who need to do some work on vacation, this is NOT the hotel for you. The wifi is so slow that I can only effectively get any work done by using a hotspot on my phone. It’s crazy that a hotel of this size and price doesn’t pay for adequate wifi. Our most recent stay (April 2022), they had restarted some continental breakfast options (not available my first time here because of COVID). Good coffee and a spread of bread/bagels, cereal, and muffins. As far as the location goes, it’s in a nice spot if you want to be able to walk to Escambron Marine Park or Escambron Beach. This is why we came back here because we love snorkeling there. If you have a rental car, this is a tough spot to be staying. Last time I was here, there was $10 a day parking in the outdoor parking lot at the abandoned Hotel Normandie (looked a little shady but there is someone there 24 hours a day and we had no issues), though that was completely closed and unavailable when we were here this month. Otherwise, it’s a little bit of a walk to the tremendously expensive Hilton parking garage ($20+ I seem to recall… might have been more). It’s a quick and cheap Uber ($5-7to Old San Juan, which is great. This most recent time, I didn’t have a rental car and it was nice not to have to worry about that. Ice and water machine on the 4th floor - great to have but wish each room floor had them. Friendly and pleasant staff. Both times I stayed, my room faced the street, which was occasionally loud when motorcycles would rev going past or someone had bass-heavy music on high volume. Not many food options within easy walking distance, though plenty if you walk over the bridge to Miramar or Condado. We also enjoyed used the electric scooters available all over (Scootel/Bird was the cheaper based on our experiences, Kick was the other option). The bed was fine and the pull-out couch was what you’d expect. We were disappointed not to have a mini fridge in the room. AC was easily controlled by remote and worked well.
Our room was the very model of European efficiency, not large but a perfect amount of space for an excellent price! Very economical and close to all of the action in Old San Juan.
The price was great. The rooms were very clean. Location was 100% safe and secure. You can walk along the beach for 40 minutes as you reach Old San Juan. Or You can take a 4 minute Uber or a Byrd Scooter. We were able to walk to T-Mobile District in 15 minutes. We visited from California.
The front desk greater named Christopher was exceptional. With a late check in he greeted us drinks upon arrival and was very helpful with info on what’s around to eat te enjoy. 👍🏽Beach nearby (scuba diving beachwas great 😍
We checked in (09/24/2021with absolutely no washcloths, only 3 towels for a reservation of 4 people. I then went to the front desk the morning after (09/25/2021to get some. The front desk employee, Miguel Morales, kept asking if there were none in the room which is ridiculous because I had already told him we did not have any to begin with. Then he supposedly went to get some, came back with nothing because the “maid closet is locked”, he “does not have the key”, so there was not anything he could do. He did not apologize for the inconvenience and told me I would have to come back in 2 hours, around 9am. That’s when I asked him for his name, and to unzip is jacket so I could see what was printed in the gold letters on his work shirt. He proceeded to give me his name but said it was not printed on his shirt. Then I said this establishment is unprofessional, I would be writing a negative review, and I am not ever staying at this hotel ever again. After me saying that Miguel began to laugh. I asked what was funny and what was appropriate about him laughing. His exact words were “actually it’s very funny”, and he started laughing again.
The location of the hotel was perfect. Right near the beach and a very short drive to Old San Juan. There were many places to eat and drink around the hotel. Moving on to the hotel itself, it is nice but needs a little bit of work. It’s really the cleanliness that needs improvement. After receiving our room keys we entered our room and noticed a huge stain on the carpet which looked like it came from someone smoking in there. The windows had fingerprints all over and I found a rice grain on the wall. There were also stains on the bed frame. The first night we were in the lobby waiting for our ride and noticed a huge dead roach next to a chair. Our friends who arrived at the hotel hours before us told us the roach was there during their check in meaning it was there all day. The bathrooms were tiny. The toilet was so close to the wall and bathroom door was scraping the wall. There also needed to be more lighting in the room as it was pretty dim. Another thing that bothered me was every time we would ask for clean towels we wouldn’t get them in a timely manner or would be told to place the dirty towels outside the door and then someone will bring towels up. We stayed for 4 nights so we definitely needed clean towels. One day I left the towels outside the door, went to the store, came back and there were still no clean towels in my room. I was told that they are finishing up in the dryer. They were extremely low on towels to the point where we were given beach towels instead of bath towels. There was this one specific lady at the front desk that was super helpful and on top of it when we asked for towels- wish I got her name. All in all the stay wasn’t bad but we were expecting it to be clean especially during covid.
Booked here for a ten day stay. Great boutique hotel. Friendly staff and very centrally located. Antonio is a world of knowledge and you couldnt ask for a better tour guide. Will definitely be back.
This Hotel owes me $170.48 from March 2020. We cancelled our trip due to the pandemic. I was promised my money back within 7 days. They have not done so yet as of December 2020. I have reported them to the BBB, but they ignored them too. Do not trust that they will do what is promised. Do not book with them as they are liars! Now they have blocked my account so that they do not receive any of my emails. DO NOT TRUST THEM!! I have sent them 125 emails.Where is my money you thieves???? Now we go to court!!!
Im scheduled to stay there May 28, 2020 - June 1, 2020. I tried canceling my reservations for a few days now. Due to both airlines canceling my reservations from Texas and New York. Im told that I would incurred a cancelation fee of $477.+, out of my $590. Ive called the hotel, Ive text them via booking.com. Im not getting anywhere. They are not in business, currently close from March 28, 2020 through December 31, 2020 as per there comments on Hotel.com. so why an i being charged a penalty fee? Pure fraudulent
Friendly staff and good price point but found a tiny bug in the bathroom on the first night. Everything else was clean and they also offer breakfast.
Not recommended. The AC in our room started dripping in the midnight and the reception said they don’t have mechanics at night so we could only move to other spare room at midnight. Also, they don’t have enough clean towels. If you want to ask for cleaner towels, you need to wait for a bit. However, the room is very clean and tidy.
Small hotel, cozy rooms, perfect location. Escambron beach is 2 blocks away, great restaurants are 1-2 blocks away. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Clean rooms. 5 minute Uber and youre in old San Juan.
The facility looks new and appears clean. Location is good and easily accessible. Our first day of stay, the front desk employee was friendly but after that it was a mess.We went down to “breakfast” during when it was supposed to be served, found everything completely unstocked (no bagels, old bread, few slices of just plain cheeseand water also out. I asked the front desk if we could get some more water - her response was “I already filled it once so if you want more water, we have a fountain on 4th floor so you can get some.”I was baffled by this statement. Is this the norm in P.R.? How is this an acceptable reply to a patron asking for more water during designated breakfast time? Also, our toilet was broken in our room so we had to flush by taking the porcelain toilet top off and pulling on the stopper manually to flush.Overall, a decent lodging facility with good location but it only appears new and seems like it isn’t built with quality material or well made. I found lots of broken items in the room. Breakfast is minimal at best. There was not much edible other than some coffee. Customer service - maybe it was just cultural difference but I found it subpar.Edit: I appreciate the management’s response. Other than that incident, everything was great.
Friendly and helpful staff. Genesis and Angel are great. Hotel is clean and has prompt housekeeping. I didnt give it a 5 star because it has no pool and parking is way overpriced
Zero STARS!!! WORST HOTEL. HORRIBLE customer SERVICE. They stole my deposit and would not allow me to change my dates because I could not travel because of disaster huricane in Fl. I had to cancel eventhou I asked to just change the dates. Son unos pillos!! DONT STAY THERE... PLANNED A GREAT TRIP TO MY ISLAND AND NOW RUINED.
Loved staying her! The hotel was very new and clean. The floors and steps are marble and is very well decorated. The rooms were very nice, clean and comfy. The girls who work there are very nice and helpful. Taina and Glendalis and the other girls were the best. Also, I heard their going to build a pool and a I think a lounge area on the roof.
Very nice hotel. I stayed here on 7/24/19. Receptionist was extremely friendly. Recommended eateries when we inquired. I was a bit worried considering I stayed there during the protests against the governor. (I was all for them, I just wanted to have a nice romantic time with my fiance). Absolutely no issues. Hotel looks EXACTLY as pictured.
pros: Great location... minutes walk to the beach.Clean rooms n updated.friendly staff.Strong wifi.Free breakfast near by.Cold/hot shower.Cool AC.Cons: PriceyNo restaurant.small room.No fridge
I really wanted to give 5 star because of how cool this place was..., but they gave us two breakfast vouchers for 4 people and every corner in the ceiling in the bathroom was moldy. I also didnt like the fact you needed to pay for parking... another $16. Honestly, this place was really cool and I recommend.
Because so many things occurred at this hotel during our stay, Ill go point by point to be concise:TL;DR: I had a tremendously frustrating stay here, never heard from the manager, was given conflicting information, AC stopped working two nights, may have almost been assaulted, and was offered a discount that I had to ask about several times. Pass on this hotel!1When we arrived, we were given directions on where to park. We were told to park in a parking lot behind the hotel, to the right. Because the front desk rep wasnt descriptive enough, I drove around for about an hour trying to find this parking lot. In the morning, when we exited the parking lot they were trying to charge us $56. We were informed by the overnight front desk rep, that they had a contract with the parking lot so that well only pay $24/night. They told us they didnt, but honored the $24.Apparently, the parking lot that charges $24 is to the right of the hotel, not the left. We didnt discover this until our last night at the hotel. We ended up parking in an abandoned area near the hotel, with no lighting, that doesnt charge for parking. Across the street from Luis Munoz Park. It was approximately a 10 minute walk from the hotel.A drug addict in the darkest area of the walk looked like he was getting ready to rob me, but I was on the phone with my wife, that seemed to have spooked him, and he didnt. He took off his shirt and looked like he was pumping himself up, and then just walked past me... To be fair, I could be perceiving this moment wrong, but it was frightening none-the-less.2Once I get to my room, I find out the room was misrepresented. I show them pictures from the Priceline posting, and the description of the room that mentions two double beds. He says hell talk to his manager, and get back to me. He doesnt. The morning front desk rep tells me they wont be changing my room. I show her the same things I showed the overnight front desk rep. Nothing.3For 2 nights, our AC went out. It went out for the entire third floor due to some kind of electrical issue. We called the front desk, and they said they would fix it, but didnt. In the morning, we called the front desk, and they didnt even know the third floor was without AC. Handy men worked on the problem, and it was repaired by the time we came back that night. After one hour, the AC stopped working again for the entire third floor. I went to the front desk and insisted that my reservation be cancelled or that my room be changed. He offers me a 20% discount and says hell change my room. Ten minutes later he says he cant because the rooms are all booked. I go back to my room, and tell my wife to unpack the things I had just told her to pack because they arent changing our room. Ten minutes go by again, and he knocks on my door to say theyre changing our room.4The morning we leave I asked about the discount. They say it was approved. I leave a happy camper.Once my charges post fully two days later, I call the hotel to ask about the discount, and they say, "We changed your room," and I say, "Yeah, but we were told we were getting a discount as well and that it had been approved." She says shell talk to the manager and call me back. She doesnt call back. I call back the next day to find out the discount has been approved.5To be fair, the hotel is gorgeous, but the "standard double room" is very small. The bathroom is very small. "Knees to the wall when using the toilet" small. The shower in the "standard double room" leaked like crazy. The bigger room that they changed us to for our last night was much bigger and nicer. This was the bigger room they show and described on Priceline when booking.Through all this, never once spoke to the manager.
Meh. The room was okay but pretty small and it always seemed to be smelly and humid when we returned even if we left the a/c on.They dont offer any on site parking which is a pain, if you have a rental car I wouldnt recommend staying here.Free coffee in the lobby until 10 (which kinda sucked since that would only be 7am with our 3 hour time change)Free breakfast until noon, its not a long walk, but the restaurant is not on premises.Only a few minute walk to the beach. No balcony to enjoy the beautiful weather/ breeze. For the price, I think you could do much better.
This hotel is incredible. The service from the staff is amazing. The rooms are huge - we had a queen bed with a pull out sofa and had plenty of space for myself, my wife, and our child in the playpen (playpen provided by the hotel). The washrooms are all tile and beautiful, the rooms are well described as "minimal" but are well appointed. The 4K Smart TV has all the apps you would need - Netflix and Amazon included. The location is smack between Candador and Old San Juan. Neither are in walking distance - about 40min - but you are better off with an Uber as they are cheap, and parking can be challenging. The breakfast vouchers are to the food court adjacent to the hotel, a 3 minute walk. The food and service at the restaurant are amazing - the $5 voucher lets you get the total value of the meal, however I had no problem upgrading my breakfast to the $6 panini for no additional cost most of the time, and could choose between any of the coffee, latte, etc drinks. Please tip the staff at the restaurant, they are amazing! Also, the cafeteria is great - beautiful sun filled deck with benches to sit on and enjoy your meal. Plenty of other places to eat local lunches or dinners.Parking is super easy if you have a car. You can rent the vehicle from the Candador Hotel across the bridge at Enterprise and save the additional cost for renting at the airport. When your first arrive at the hotel, pull into the bike lane and offload your luggage with the staff. They will direct you to the Hilton Valet parking next door - VALET PARKING IS NOW ONLY $15 USD with unlimited in and out privileges. Great deal! The parking is only a five minute walk away. The hotel is definitely above what I expected for a three star. A great deal vs the cost of local four star hotels. Only issues I discovered: some of the renovations were done rather hastily - probably in order to meet opening deadlines. The washroom door squeezes against the tile walls to close, and they were a couple holes in the drywalls that were cut for lights but were not used and left open. The BIGGEST issue we had was the potential for noise in the hallways. All the guests were quiet for the most part when we were there but if they were to make noise at night in the hall, it will easily wake you up.They have plans for a rooftop pool and a kitchen in the hotel. Once they do this, I fear the price for this place will spike. However, with the incredibly comfortable rooms, and the many beeches nearby within walking distance, we will definitely be looking for an opportunity to visit Puerto Rico and this hotel again.
Amazing night the beds are the best part like it should be. the help at the desk gave us a great place to eat that night at 11 PM that we could walk to the hotel had a great modern feel I would stay agine
We stayed here on March 17th. The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff was great and very helpful too. I highly recommend this hotel and will stay here again in a heartbeat.
Worse place! Had blood on our sheets and when we reported it they acted like we did it! I have Gold and Platinum standards to various hotels all over, I believe you get that status from being a good repetitive customer! I was sad because its very pretty!
Not happy at all with this hotel. Room was nice but very very small. Parking was horrible. We had to walk from behind the hotel were there was very busy construction going on. So we had to carry our bags. When we told the front desk clerk, she said "oh I forgot to tell you to drop off your bags first. No swimming pool NOTHING WHATS SO EVER TO DO. So disappointed. For picking this hotel.
Overall, a very pleasant stay. The staff is fantastic and the entire property is quite clean (and clearly new as it only opened up a few months ago!). The location is decent too - its in between Condado and Old San Juan, but youre looking at a 30 min walk to get to either (Ubers are plentiful in any event). The only reasons Im deducting a star are as follows: the room I got was very small (I believe it was their standard room for 1-2 people), especially the bathroom (using the toilet will likely be uncomfortable if youre at least 56"). The second reason was that by "free breakfast," they mean that you have to walk 6-7 minutes to a local cafe to get one of two items on their menu (maybe its just me, but when a hotel mentions "free breakfast," I take that to mean a continental breakfast buffet).Nonetheless, still pretty good value for the price.
Brand new hotel. Very centric and quite. Amazing staff. The ladies on the lobby when beyond any guest expectations. Very helpful and nice. Bathroom a bit small. Overall great place to stay safe in PR.
On this days not many hotel have exactly what the show on the pictures. The place is really clean, specious and elegant. The beds where really great... And the staff very friendly, can forget to mention the gods ☕ on the lobby.
I wish I had more time but it was a perfect stay. This hotel is very close to the ports, and the airport. It is located between Old San Juan and Condado and next to the biggest entertainment center in San Juan Lasso Carine were breakfast is served. Thank you Helen for all your help!
