El Salvador Bakery - Salvadoran restaurant in Marietta, United States
They have the best pupusas
Delicious Pastries!! Bakery quality and such inexpensive prices Hooked on the Cornbread and Pineapple pastry
These chicken and cheese pupusas are super delicious and flavorful (Im eating one as I type)! Ive been coming here for years and would highly recommend.
Really good pupusas !!!
The plantains are delicious and the papusas are excellent
They close at 7pm but if you call to place an order order around 6pm it’s too late. They say they’re closed. What a joke.Customer service and professionalism lacks.Mejor vallan a “Doña Celia Restaurant in Austell” ahí si quieren ganar dinero.
El Salvador Bakey is a must stop for authentic Salvadoran food! This location is a bakery, restaurant and convenient store. I have tried their pupusas in the past and they are hands-down the BEST. This time I stopped by with my family and decided to dine in. The service was great. I bought the Deluxe Breakfast, and I HIGHLY recommend it. It is a decent portion and slightly spicy. If I could recommend this hidden gem to everyone, I would! Please keep in mind that parking can be chaotic if you visit during peak hours.
The pupusas are wonderful, very tasty and have a lot of cheese. Loroco was my favorite! The service is very good, super kind. The price is great too.The only thing that could be improved would be the cleanliness of the bathroom, the floor was dirty and very damp.
Chicken pupusas are the absolute best. They took them off the UberEATS menu so unfortunately you have to go in person to get them now which is not as convenient so now we dont get them as often.
Pupusas are amazing. You guys just need to fix the hours on uber eats and all delivery apps because is not working. I havent try anything else than pupusas but from what I heard everything is good.
They seem overly cautious when white people come in there.
Their food is the best especially the popusas.
Amazing owners & staff so welcoming!!! Authentic delicious Salvadoran cooking, oustanding bakery too!!! You will want to try everything!!! One visit wont be enough you will want to go back!!
Best Salvadorian pupusas and the bakery is a plus love the mixed pupusas pork an cheese highly recommend this place best pupusas in town
This place is Really welcoming and the food is great! I usually get Pupusas and Fried Plantains.
The place says it closes at 7 PM yet the kitchen is closed at 6:30. I called to place an order since 5:50PM and they didn’t even answer the phone. Poor customer service because they’re not communicating with the customers making customers drive a long way just to find out that they’re closed.
Hard to find parking; prices extremely higher every time; waiting time is pretty long , understaffed, owners are never there , no manager on site ; they take so long on cleaning a table .
Came for the pupusas and was very disappointed. They were tasteless, the slaw was dry, the beans were mushy, and the sauce was even tasteless. Waste of time and appetite. Don’t recommend for true Al Salvadoran cuisine. I wish I could give no stars.
Its ok, but could be better, close early at least one more hour for dinner should be better. They have workers shortage.
First the staff is disrespectful, and food is not even good. The waiting is also ridiculous! Would not recommend ! And good luck with parking !
Come for the pupusas. If you’ve never been to an El Salvador restaurant of grocery store, just know that it is not what you’re used to if you’re American. When you walk in, you will see a small grocery store - head to the counter and just say pupusas. You don’t have to speak Spanish to order!!Hold up on your hand with how many you want and just say pupusas.Yes they do speak English, but not always. That’s ok, they want to serve you.
Sadly my review from last year is no longer valid. The service is horrendous and the wait is over an hour for a few pupusas. Thank goodness I have found a better place on Pat Mill Rd
The thing to get here are "pupusas". Buttery fried quesadilla-esque snacks filled with the meat or filling of choice. The loroco and cheese filling is tasty and vegetarian. The hand made fruit waters are great too. 4.5 stars. I will come here again.
I came here a while ago and it was great, however they now have 10-15 people in line without masks. In general, if it wasnt for the pandemic, 5 stars but for now, only one.
I called at 6:10 to place an order and they had disconnected their phone, I live very close so I decided to order in person, no big deal. I arrive and they tell me they’re not placing orders anymore that they stopped at 6:10? Well I tried calling and the phone was disconnected so how was I supposed to do that?? They’re closing, cleaning the dinning area, rushing customers out so they can leave at 7. If you wanna leave at 7 close at 5. On top of that the girls have a terrible attitude.
Friendly staff and courteous, clean... the food is delicious, and the bakery has got 😋 a variety of pastries that are super delicious as well. The prices are very reasonable. I would recommend anyone to stop by and enjoy the food and have a good time...
Youd never know it by the high speeds of Windy Hill rd. You may wizz right by this place. However I highly reccomend this place. I have been here for sit down meals and they are truely authentic to the Salvadorian style. Their bakery is always fresh and the best prices around. Super rica!
I went here for my birthday and it was amazing. Love the pupusas and their drinks. Theres also epic bakery items that I love.
This place is so good!! Pupusa’s are fabulous!! Very nice people and great prices! You are missing out if you haven’t been here!
The food is delicious. However, the waiting time is insane! If you order by phone or even order takeout you wait more than 30minutes to get the food!! Also, to eat in make sure to call ahead of time so the wait time is less.
The bread is so fresh. Pupusas are very delicious, not too doughy, and very adorable price. Service is friendly but move a bit slow.
Went early on a Sat morning. Immediately assaulted by the most aromatic scent of baked goods. Admittedly I dont know what the pastries were called that I bought but each of them was delicious. My choices had fig, apple, strawberry and coconut and were fresh, flaky, and perfect. The case was full of cakes and doughnuts and confectionery delights. The coffee was strong and hot and wonderful to wash down a sugary, flaky, fruity breakfast. I highly recommend this little, hidden treasure.
I believe I found the place around 2013 I’ve brought multiple friends and family here because I’m a total foodie and LOVE pupusas and theirs is hands down #1 in Ga. With that being said they are busy busy and the wait times are well over 30 minutes so mostly I know to call in what I like so it’ll be almost done when I arrive. I like a lot of sauce and the cabbage they come with and I know that it is extra so I order completely with how much sauce and little bags of cabbage I need over the phone and the servers never have it ready then when I question them they act like I’m trying to get things for free. If I’m ordering it I like what I like charge me what you have but don’t give me a look like I’m being greedy. So yes service needs work. I believe when I first started going there the owner and her two daughters worked there and I miss her she was very friendly and held it down. These girls seem over worked and unhappy to satisfy guest needs.
I love their corn bread and coffee, I like the pupusas but not the cheese they use though, it feels like you are chewing gum.. I am sorry I just want to be honest..
RUN AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!! I came into the place a few days ago, and let me tell you it was not worth it. I placed an order over the phone, when i went to pick it up everything was fine. I then saw they had cake slices, so i decided to purchase two of them. When i got back to the office, i noticed there was a hair in my food. i stopped eating the pupusa. So I decided to eat the cake. LET ME TELL YOU THAT THE CAKE WAS SPOILED!!! I vomited all over my desk at work. I can not believe they sold me spoiled food!! There is no indication on when the food was made on the container it was placed in so I dont know when it expired. The county needs to look into them as i am pretty sure they are selling expired food. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!
Just came in for some sweet and baked treats to take to my work tomorrow 4 some friends and the ladies that were working were very, very helpful. This Bakery is close to my home and Im so happy that their goods are always fresh and delicious and since I do not speak Spanish very well, even though I understand it, they are always patient and extremely helpful to me. Their prices are great especially for the quality that you get and the only thing I wish as if they had some signs on what some different items are. Fast and friendly and I always recommend it to the people that I know. It doesnt hurt that the ladies are very cute also.😉 👍
Awesome authentic granny like Salvadorian food. So good! Homey feel!
This place is always delicious. Authentic doesnt really cover it. You might get a few looks if you go in not speaking Spanish because this place is a local gem, but the service there is always so nice and willing to help you out with the menu in english. The papusa are the best Ive ever had (taste is great; the cook gives it the perfect crunchand their tamales are top notch. If you go near the sweet case Im pretty sure you leave weighing 10 more pounds than you did when you went in, but all of it is so worth it. Reasonable prices. Fast cook times. Great place!
Waiting 30 min for 3 pupusas that were overly cooked, dry & had no flavor. This has no authenticity of flavor too it. I would not recommend anyone who is not native to this this type of dish. If you would like to waste your time, money & gas definitely try this place. Thank You for my Ted talk.
Worse customer service ever. I checked the restaurants hour before leaving home on Sunday and I saw it close at 7pm I drove about 45 minutes and got there at 6:10pm one of the ladies that work there told me only to go orders while a gentleman from the back came and told her we are not taking any orders even when the open sign was still ON and clearly said on the door they were open till 7pm. they dont care about customers at all, if they want to leave at 7pm please change the store/restaurant hours to 6 or even 5pm to leave enough time to do your things and go home at 7, dont expect to close at 7pm and you go gonna go home at 7pm.
The pupusas are FIRE . Highly recommend, the curtido isnt all that tho
The food is delicious, the desserts are delicious, the people are welcoming. HOWEVER, there are ZERO vegan options here. I sat there waiting for the person I was with to finish their meal because they really, really wanted a little taste of home. The staff takes forever to bring you something (check, food, forks, etc.). Because I know the food is delicious (to my friendand the place had a very family feel, I gave 4 stars instead of three.
Delicious food, I remember my sweet country el Salvador. Ill be back soon...
This place is great if you’re looking for authentic Salvadorian food. The servings are large, and the food is delicious. The staff is always friendly and quick to get your order. I went on a Sunday, and it was busy. If you’re looking to order from here, and get your food to go, your best bet is to order ahead of time. The resteraunt is small because the store doubles as a bakery/grocery store so there is limited seating. Had a great experience, and I’m looking forward to eating here again!
Im from NY where Ive had some of the best pupusas and if I do say so myself these were the best! Its a long wait if you dont call ahead but it is a wait well worth it! I found this by accident and Im so happy I did! The best hole in the wall that I have found so far!
The food was pretty good and the cornbread was amazing. Make sure to drop in during breakfast it because you will enjoy it.
Great friendly customer service. Awesome availability of true Salvadoran food. Employees are courteous and have gotten my orders correctly every single time Ive gone to eat.
OMGoodness!! This place is awesome. Everything tasted GREAT! The owner is so sweet. My group sat there for a couple of hours talking and eating. The prices can NOT be better! My children and I cant wait to take my husband the next time we are in town.
If you want great Papusas or good Central American style tamales, this is the place. There are no fountain drinks. It is not a date spot. Its more of a delicious quick meal shop.
Best Salvadorean food in town! The pupusas are great and the baked goods are always fresh. Prices are reasonable. I love to see such diverse customers in such an authentic place. Staff is also very friendly and attentive.
