El Rigobertos Taco Shop - Mexican restaurant in Los Alamos, United States
Very tasty food, clean place, and courteous service.
Great service. Really helpful employees. The only place I’ll go spend my money at in town. They have helped me out alot
The service was fast and friendly. It was busy, but it was clean and my food was excellent! Dinning in sometimes is still a luxury.
Hands down some of the best burritos in existence👍
Great authentic food at great prices!
Good food here, tasty. However the building is in need of a lot of repairs/maintenance. Ceiling tiles dripping with stuff idek and stained badly, bathrooms need fixing up. Very nice staff
Inexpensive and good Mexican food
Excellent food and quick service. I ordered chicken enchiladas and the carne asade burrito for pickup, and it was ready by the time I got there about 5 minutes later. Quite good portion sizes too, this ended up being enough food for 2 meals.
Great Mexican food if youre looking for something quick
Great carne asada fries.
Nice hole-in-the-wall taco shop with a decent menu and great quality. Could be a bit cleaner on the inside, as the tables and chairs were all sticky and dirty. Amazing to see how many Los Alamos locals roll through this place in an hours time.
Yummy green chili. Smokey and Spicy. Get extra burritos: it’s great hang-over food in the morning.
This place .....aside from tasty food has one key item that restaurants have lost lately.....Consistency!!!! The food is always tasty and freshly made....the salsas run the spectrum from mild to wild!!
The food was good. Their menu doesnt actually say whats in their food so if you dont know exactly what you are ordering then it can be inconvenient. They speak English and Spanish which is a plus.
Its a pretty good taco shop, theyve done their best during the virus to still be able to move a lot of food out for the lunch crowd. Most of the dishes are very good, given what youre paying for. They have increased the prices but then again everybody else has had to do to supply chain issues.
Can’t go wrong with the carne asada burrito. Quick, courteous service. Conveniently located next to a brewery.
We were in town late and these gentlemen kept their doors open for us even though they were getting ready to close. Our family greatly appreciated them and the food was amazing! Thank you and your staff!
The food was so so delicious here I would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking to eat an authentic mexican taco or burrito meal! I had a taquito meal which had 4 taquitos, beans, rice. My husband got a ground beef chimichanga which also had beans and rice with picamo de Gallo & lettuce. The horchata was good as well!! The service was really fast. The restrooms were really clean especially for being an older building! The price gor the food wasnt bad we paid $26 for two adults. This was the first time we have gone here or have even heard about it but from the pictures and the reviews here on google were good so we decided to try it out. We are not from Los alamos but if we were to come back this is somewhere Id eat again!
Place looked like a dive. On-site menu had no prices. I will not return. Fish tacos were OK but my wife liked her shredded beef tacos were good.
Best place to get super nachos. Seriously get the super nachos 👍 they also have a good selection of burritos, tacos, and taquitos . Also the horchata is pretty great.
The shredded beef chimichanga had hardly any beef in it. Instead it was filled with tons of green peppers, onions and tomatoes. And when I cut into it a bunch of liquid would squirt out. Very gross.
I was pleasantly surprised that the food here was quite good. I was visiting grandchildren for the week and that was the place everyone agreed to go eat. My son Sean loves the food here, it is the closest thing to some of the homemade Mexican food I fix, but nothing tops my cooking.
Just ok burritos. We got there a few minutes before 8 and they had already stacked the chairs and scrubbed the place down with Lysol. Not very appetizing - so we did take out.
Ate the carne asada chimi. The carne was really good. Its huge. Had leftovers the next day. Not as good as a leftover. Share with someone if you have a smaller appetite. Beans and rice were fine.
Not too impressed. We ate breakfast early in the morning. They were out of rice. The refried beans were runny and burned. It was definitely a place that I would not eat at again, nor would I recommend.
Love it. Food is consistent and good. My go-to meal is the carne asada fries. Delicious.
Would rate 0 stars if able. Spanish is my second language; I try to practice when I have the chance. Rigobertos offers that chance. However, they also have no problem speaking English to help bridge the gap of communication. I confronted them about a rubber band I found in my burrito last time I ordered. They pretended to not understand what I was saying and refused to take responsibility for reprehensible health standards. I will work to ensure this place closes. DO NOT EAT HERE!!!
Ive had generally good experiences here. The food is good and reasonably priced. I love the churros. However, the staff always seems uninterested, bored, or annoyed when I call to order. I had to go in to order last time because the guy on the phone "couldnt understand me". I was annoyed.Other than that, pretty good.
Fast, friendly service and great food. We go here all the time and its always a good experience. Everything on the menu is awesome, but I especially recommend the Chile rellenos, tostadas, and chimichangas.
The most horrible fish of my entire life.. what a shame and I told the guy and he laughed instead of doing something about it.
Rigobertos... well, everyone in town knows Rigobertos Taco Shop and keeps coming back again and again... and there is reason for that.. I meat at least a couple reasons! For one, their dishes are quite good, and are sold in a really reasonable price. Then their staff is fast and friendly, make you feel at home right away. And last, but not least, they are in downtown, right next to Bathtub, which makes it an ideal location to get some snacks with your beer.Id say that if youre in town, give them a try. Guaranteed its not the most healthy food youll get, but far better than "real" fast food alternatives. Some doesnt prefer them, some simply loves them. I leave it up to you to decide; I personally can recommend them!
The tacos and burritos here are magnificent. The people are nice and food is ready pretty quickly. The chicken is always very flavorful. The salsa bar is great! From what I’ve heard, the salsa is made from stuff they grow!
I’ve eaten here many times over the years and it’s just not very good. Food tastes like it came out of a freezer and the refried beans are always super runny. I really wish their food was good! It’s such a bummer.
Amazing food, Ive had so many different dishes and loved all of them. The prices are great for the big portions you get. Staff is friendly. The salsa bar is fresh and delicious. Your food is served in a timely manner.
Got the rolled tacos and carne asada fries, both were large portions at a good price. Great place to order out and take food to bathtub brewing or home. Fast service. Interior decor is pretty basic.
So delicious!!! Highly recommend. Im not a fan of New Mexican food. This place is great Mexican food with some New Mexican food as well. I got the Adobada plate and it was full of flavor! They have a few different sauce options to choose from as well. Everyone was friendly and welcoming.
Good Mexican (NOT New Mexicanfood. I got burritos to go for my wife and i. We took it next door to the Bathtub Row Brewery and ate it with a beer while listening to a Bluegrass Band. A nice evening and an inexpensive night out. My favorite is the Carnitad burrito. The carne asada and chicken burritos are also good. Probably theyre all good. I just havent tried the others. They also have plates with refries and Spanish rice. Theres lots of things on their menu. Im just stuck on their burritos. Also theres a nice salsa bar with several condiments
We stopped in after visiting Bandelier Monument. I ordered Carne Asada and my wife ordered a chicken chimichanga. The meal was fabulous, the portions generous, and the prices were reasonable. The staff were friendly and fun. I wish we could visit again, thanks for a memorable meal.
Usually the food is great, staff is friendly. I usually have to clean the tables off myself and eating area itself is pretty dirty. We had a large party with us the last time, their chicken chimichangas are moist and delicious but the shredded beef broke the plastic fork it was so hard. Their carne asada fries are awesome.
This place is absolutely delicious!!! 😋 It’s not New Mexican food but Mexican food! The food is made fresh and hot when you get it. The amount of food you get is a lot for a really good price so you can eat some and still have leftover for later. I love going here for lunch or dinner! The atmosphere is nice and relaxed so you can sit down and have a nice lunch with friends.
Some of the best Mexican food ever. Zero ambiance...but inexpensive and totally terrific. They moved to Los Alamos from Espanola a few years ago. Now anytime I have to be in Los Alamos during business hours, Rigobertos is a required stop.
The food is way over priced.2 fish Tacos , beans , rice. $8.50.4 rolled tacos (from frozenbeans, rice.$8.75Medium drink $2.25Skimpy servings. The food is dry. No Flavor...If your going to Charge a higher price at a fast food resturant, it better taste good. The food taste like something out of Smiths grocery store. Bland.Nachos $8:00. This is a good item.Chimichanga is $9:50.. This is a good item.
Muy bien churros. Very good portions at a great price. Has pretty fast wait times so your not waiting forever for your food. They make wonderful carne asada fries as well as the supreme quesadilla!
If your looking for good Mexican food, not New Mexican but Mexican food. This is the place you want to be! I’m from Texas and it’s just like back home. California folk will love it just as much.
This place has a lot of business. People were coming and picking up orders. The food was good, though it felt like it was reheated versus being cooked fresh. We had the chicken tacos, the shell was house fried and the chicken was thighs. The salsa bar was small but good.
The chicken tastes super funky to me. Im not sure if it the seasoning or what, but I cant eat it here. Besides that it is a decent place for New Mexican food. Be careful on the entry way stairs as they are VERY askew.
Great food! Finally, a decent restaurant that opens in this town. Good prices and great tacos, probably the best Mexican food you can find LA. Reminds me of taco stands in San Diego. Quick and friendly service.
Set your expectations as a cheap quick meal and youll be super happy. For the cost (most meals under $10the food is pretty good and you get a ton of it. Ive heard that the guacamole can suck sometimes, but mines always been fine. The salsa bar is kind of pathetic, nothing remotely spicy in there.Keep in mind, its Mexican food, not NEW Mexican.Grab your food and head next door for a beer at Bathtub Row, they dont mind if you bring food in.
My whole family loves their food. Its the closest thing to authentic Mexican cuisine that can be found in Los Alamos. Mexican cuisine is very different from New Mexican cuisine. The food is always good and fresh and the service is always friendly.
Dry, overcooked, bland. Ive eaten there 4 times so far and Ive disliked everything Ive ordered. Ive ordered different things each time, tacos, enchiladas, breakfast burritos, rolled tacos, tamales etc. but I find this to be haphazardly prepared and relatively bland and poorly cooked. The salsas are nothing special. There are several restaurants in LA that are better, and many others in Santa Fe and the surrounding Northern NM area that blow the doors off this place, including several taco trucks Ive tried. This was my last visit to this place. Many other people like it, some rave, but it does not ring my bell at all.
