Food is way overpriced. And if you are looking for authentic Mexican food this place isnt it. Service was fine, the food was alright, the rice and beans were very salty. It just takes like the quality of Mexican food you would get at an Applebees.

Food wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t good either. Service is great though.

Chicken enchilada Blanco was not good. Chips, beans & fajitas were good.

El Potrero is always a great option. If youre thinking Mexican food in Kearney, you should be thinking El Potrero. The Birria tacos are a must. They are so good. Taco Tuesday is great as well! Amazing food. In my opinion this is the best Mexican in Kearney. I like others, but nothing compared to EL Potrero.

Some of the best Mexican food in Kearney. My wife always gets the Chile Verde. I bounce around the menu because it is all great! I like to get the big Dos Equis beer to go with it too! Not every Mexican place has a liquor license, so this is a good place to go to have tacos and a drink.

Great food - probably the best Mexican food weve had in years. Large portions so be careful about what you order. Very reasonable price. Nice selection of adult beverages. Very easy to see why theyre rated a top restaurant in Kearney.

I loved the food,my husband loved his as well. Our waiter was relaxed we didnt feel rushed at all which is a big deal for us. We will for sure return. The restaurant was very clean and well taken care of as well..

I personally always get either the Blanco or Monster burrito but all of their food is delicious the staff is always kind and prompt with service. Love this place.

The waitress was very nice and was there every 5 minutes to see if you wanted anything the food was amazing the fried ice cream was at least 3 pounds or more I recommend you come here and have a great time

I can’t say enough good things about this place! We are regulars and are NEVER disappointed. Even when they are busy we are seated right away and chips and salsa are fresh and there right away as well. Food is always hot and fresh and fast out of the kitchen! They came back nicely after covid with a full lobby and full services available. They did it the way it should have been done. We love this place and will continue to be back! Thank you for being one of Kearneys best dining experiences!

Amazing food, extremely tasty and proportions are large. Staff is nice as well.Only thing missing is horchata.

The food was very good however one of our party found a hair on his plate, The waitress was very apologetic, And took the price of the meal off of our ticket.

Great service! Came in at 11:30am on a Sunday. Staff seated us as we walked through the door, had chips/on the table almost before we sat down. Food was on the table in a short amount of time and staff were very attentive.

The pork tips dinner was delicious! Taking home the extras.

Great food and atmosphere. Service was kinda slow. No one was at the front to host. Felt like a regular restaurant thank you can dine in. They really need to have more experience in the wow experience.

I have had some of the best food and service ever here I have ever experienced. But, I have also had some of the worst food a service here that I have ever experienced. The last two times I visited the food was not good at all and the service was even worse. After asking for silverware multiple times and not receiving it well after the food arrived I finally got up and went to get the napkins and silverware for our table myself. The chips were very cold but it took so long to get our food that we ate them anyway. We asked for more chips but they never came, which is surprising given that we asked for them multiple times and it took about an hour for our food to finally come out. It was not a busy time of day and there seemed to be adequate staffing so I am not sure what the problem was. Our waiter was not very awake but even when we asked the person up front for silverware they never brought us any.I might try going back in a year or two because when the have the right cook working an decent service they are one the best anywhere. But, most of the time they are mediocre or awful.

The food was fresh and authentic. It was not mainstream chain Mexican. We sat outside.. the waitstaff wore masks and were very attentive .. The value is excellent!

A little pricey at about $20 p/person, but food was fantastic and the service was even better. Glasses never got below half empty before they were taken to be refilled, food arrived at our table accurately, hot and quickly. Our server still had a great attitude at the end of her shift right at closing time. We will make a point to return every single trip through Kearney, NE.

Good food, even though they forgot the lettuce part of a fajita salad. Service was a little slow, but I think she was taking care of a large party, too. Good drink specials.

They have remodeled this place from when it was open, not to much changes but got new tables, new chairs, a new menu, and small little things that make the place a little different than before. My family of 6 and a baby went in Sunday in the afternoon and it was busy. The waiter was busy, but still did a good job in trying to keep up. I got a traditional Mexican dish and it was carne asada came with rice, beans, and a salad with a side of sour cream. Experience wise is good. Food was good, I’ve gone here before the reboot and I hated this place and it’s food. I do recommend this place to eat Mexican food on Sunday afternoon. Like most places, service will vary and some with bad experiences on other days. So sorry if you go on a Monday. But go Sunday afternoon and it will be great! 4 stars!UPDATE: Came on a Saturday service I give it a 4 not bad the food is amazing and it’s getting better every time I go. I recommend it It is a 5 star restaurant, rice and beans are fresh and it’s all yummy.

First time here. Busy Friday night, but we were seated quickly. Chips and salsa were fresh. Food came out pretty quickly. Fajitas were good, but this was the first I have had fajitas in a full service restaurant that were not brought out sizzling. Atmosphere was comfortable.

Food was good as usual. The waiter was a bit strange. He did something the really irritates me. Once we finished our meal, he left the check without asking if wed like anything else. Not once coming back to check on us. It was a business lunch and we were still talking at the table. Apparently he wanted us to clear out. I should say Ive eaten here many times and have always had good service in the past. Ill come back again and hope we arent seated in his section next time!

We stopped there for lunch a little before noon. But it soon was packed with customers, the waiters and waitresses were very busy. But they handled the crowd very well, I was impressed. Our waitress was also very busy, but she made sure we have whatever we wanted. I give her 5 stars as well. The meals were very good and quite fillings at reasonable prices. THUMBS UP GOOD JOB

Place was nice and big, very clean. The staff was very nice and attentive. The food was was good!!! I got the chili Verde with pork meat and the flavor was great!! My husband got the quesadilla with chicken fajitas and he loved his too! $30 for us to both eat lunch and drinks! Was a good deal to us and we even had to go boxes since the portions were so big! You have to try it here!!

It was my first time going and i ordered a mango pollo and my friend ordered the burito especial. The service was so fast and friendly and our meal was absolutely delicious!! Highly recommended

Service was horrible, he acted like he hated his job and all people. Took an hour to get our food (only 3 tables with customersand food was cold and not as ordered. When asked if we could have refills for pop, chips and salsa he was not happy that we asked and took 30 minutes to get it! Also the bowl our chips came in was dirty with dried on salsa!! Will never return!

The food was excellent. Our waiter seemed to be having a bad day. He was cheerful, but instead of returning a credit card he gave an ID card that didnt belong to anyone at the table, plus returned correct change...along with the money originally used to pay a bill. A bit worrisome.

Awesome Taco Salad bowls! Very understanding of food restrictions and quick to inform if a substitution is available or if food is prepped ahead of time. Great atmosphere, seating is different in a nice way, staff are all super friendly.

This place is not your typical Mexican truck. Thus is very, very nice restaurant, unless youre cheap. I ordered shrimp tacos, fajita tapatia and a drink. The best food and the presentation was amazing. Youll love this place.

A consistently good place, in my mind, the best Mexican food in town.Seats way more than it looks like it could, the service is fast, even with groups.Also a decent kids menu, and not just Mexican fare. My son usually gets a hot dog, at least until he feels more comfortable with the more adult options.Beware, the happy hour margaritas are large and strong. Order them early, and dont plan on driving.

Let me say first that if you are looking for a family friendly restaurant with options for the little kids, this is THE place! I was overjoyed to see that amongst their traditional Mexican meals they offer a kids plate which consists of hot dogs and french fries. Anyone with a toddler knows that this is awesome! Then the adults get to eat delicious food and the kids are happy too. The service here is outstanding. The food is amazing. I was particularly impressed with their taco salad because it had good, nutritious lettuce and not just shredded iceburg. I love this place. Its a new family favorite!

Awesome service and great food.The waiters were awesome. There was a little bit of confusion on some of the orders at first but they corrected the issue very quickly and even gave all of us a $5 discount off of our bills, which added up to $20 off since we had 4 parties.Definitely going back here in the near future.The only complaint I have, which isnt a big deal, is that some orders dont come with beans and rice. Would be awesome if they added beans and rice to all of their orders!
